Guest Reviews
- Shawna (10/5): - Everything
- Jim (2/5): - After i was checked in i was asked to pay a deposit before getting a key to my room that i was unaware of having to pay. I was not able to cover the 100 cash deposit that was said to be required so i was not given access to my room and was told to leave and no refund would be given. Im not sure how a business can keep someones money without providing the service that was paid for but they did so i will never book this hotel again and anyone should explore other options for a place to stay.
- Kathleen (8/5): - This property is family run, with the family living in property. They took pride in the service they provided and were extremely friendly.
- Gavin (6/5): - I like the staff; friendly and accommodating.
*Under the commode is filthy- I have to buy disinfectant & brush.
*The coffee machine is dirty- coffee ground was found inside.
*Front door does not close tight- big gap at lock.
*Fridge has broken controls, too cold & iced the foods, and then broke.
- Jenny (2/5): - WARNING!! do not rent this motel, it is nasty with bad customer service, they do knowingly do non-refunded option, because when people come to stay and they turn around they can not get money back.
Manager/owner wanted us to pay additional money foe kids, it was not much, but to stay in that dirty motel they should pay us money.
It was partly my fault because I did not check the reviews first((( But we were so tiered and did not expect that to happened
Be smart and stay away
- jessie (6/5): - They really are trying to update the rooms but for 98 a night i expect something a little nicer. The guy that owned the property was very nice an an easy to talk to.. it was also very quiet an convenient
- Albert (2/5): Stay was ok - Handicap room heat/ac unit was to height for a handicap person the room was dirty
- Cheryl (6/5): - Not friendly
- Sharon (2/5): - This place was a dump
- Volker Friedrich Richard (10/5): - Really friendly staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rooms outdated, during evening hours bathroom ceiling was leaking all evening and night out of the vent fan made it hard to go to bathroom without getting wet, keycard for room didnt work, had to get owner/manager to open each time. Beds stiff, cig burn holes in blankets. But you get what you pay for. Otherwise was fine for just sleeping the 8hrs spent there.
- Adam (4/5): Rooms not as pictured on site - Cigarette burns in bedding, carpet was sticky, tiles were loose in the bathroom because of rottting floor - had to step on tiles a certain way to even open and close the bathroom door. Furniture was dirty and stained to the point that I wouldnt sit on the chairs. Room was old and smelly, and by that I mean it stunk. Stains on towels. Motel was not as pictured at all on the website. It was better than staying in my car, but I would have felt cleaner if I would have stayed in the car. If my family would have been there, I would not have stayed. It was a necessity stay for business because it was the only thing within driving distance of where I was to be.
- Brennen (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!!! - Bed bugs, broken sink, dirty shower. Bed stained, nothing clean!!!
- Steven (2/5): - The room smelled bad. Fruit flies and regular flues everywhere. Didnt feel safe being there
- Nianqin (10/5): - Very nice
- Jermaine (2/5): - None place is crawling with bed bugs
- Cheryl (4/5): - When calling in to cancel reservations employee was rude & unfriendly. Did not stay at this hotel.
- Elizabeth (6/5): - Ever time I left room.andmcame back. The key would not work and I would have to walk to office to get reprogram med. I only stayed 2 night so it was aggravating to get key programmed 5 times during that 2 days
- John (8/5): Overall pleased. - Room was really clean and orderly.
Bed not so comfortable but clean.
A/C worked great after we found the remote control for it.
The faucet in the sink is hard to regulate with heat and cool mix and extreme pressure. It would give you a bath. Convenient to Kingsport without the city traffic.
- Chabota (10/5): - Excellent
- Brad (6/5): - Very rundown but staff and owner's were fine. They tried their best to accommodate our needs. Just old and rundown, needs updating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall good - It was clean, comfortable, NO BUGS and cheap. Only downside to it was that it is old and outdated but that does not mean bad. Its just an older building but has been maintained.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very dirty rooms. - Checked in, was sopost to have a bottom floor room. He put me top floor in a room that wasn’t even clean. Bed was dirty. So he moved me to a bottom floor two bed room that had bugs and hair in the bed. Very dirty room. Stains all over everything. Sign of bed bugs. See photos.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Decent old place
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Clean but this place is in bad need of a renovation. Tub had no drain stopper and a crack in it. Carpet was frayes, and stained. Towels were not exactly white.
- Shaylynn (8/5): Kingsport Trip - I was happy i found a room. The service was friendly. The motel itself was old, and definitely needed some updates, and upgrades. But again, i was happy to have a room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I would like to dispute this ! Someone in my family did this without permission usage of my card..
- Erik (10/5): - Excellent value. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and courteous. Would recommend to anyone looking for affordable travel accommodations.
- Kristin (10/5): - It was quite And peaceful.
- john (4/5): Look for another hotel. - Unit was dirty and buggy. Unpleasant experience.
- Denise (10/5): Welcoming, family run business - We had a great stay! Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner/ operator family who were outside enjoying the spring day. In front of our room was a table and two chairs where we enjoyed some takeout. The owner came by to ask if we needed anything and I asked for help with the mircowave. It turned out it was not functioning, so he immediately carried a replacement to our room. I'd stay here again. The hotel is conveniently right off a highway yet the room was quiet!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Affordable but run down. Owner was nice. Easy to park with a trailer in tow.
- larry (2/5): - They screwed us over we called three times to confirm our reservations they said they had no record of it so we booked another hotel and they still took the fee out of my account so I had no money for the rest of my trip
- Andrew (8/5): - Good
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked the area, very convenient. Beds very comfortable and air conditioner worked and slept very good.
- carl (6/5): Cost was resonably - We only stayed one night .the room was clean .we always bring our own sheet ..blankets but the sheets were clean on bed .there was fridge .microwave .only problem we had was with towels a little rough feelling and not so great smell .i suppose towels were washed but not good detergent perhaps .the top lock on the door was gone also .old carpet on steps was stained badly and had tears .new oweners were very polite and responed to our needs .just takes a little time and of course funds to get everything up to date i am sure . I have stayed at worse locations that smelled .
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Hotel had all the beds outside in the cold to kill bad bugs
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Reasonably priced . The mattress and the pillows could have been a little better we made the most of it clean showers an good ice machine
- linda (2/5): The sheets were ripped and had holes and stains. - horrible, carpet was so dirty our feet turned brown, pillows were stained and totally flat, it was an overall disgusting experience.
- Evan (6/5): - It was less than spectacular. A bit worn, to say the least. Considering the price, I'd say it was commiserate...
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bed bugs - They returned our money and are working with the bug people to get rid of them
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stayed a week while visiting relatives. Inn was centrally located with quick access to major highways.
- Bobby (6/5): - Last minute booking due to everything else being either over priced or booked solid because of the Battle at Bristol. Not bad for the money.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Would not go there again - The sheet where dirty and had holes in them. There was roaches in the room and the ceiling leaked on second floor. The tube did not dairn it took about 10min for the water to go down, and the toilet would not flush right. The smoke alarm didn't work. The vending machines did not work and there was nothing in the vending machines. Their was no breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good fo4 a last minute booking - It's a dated hotel but it was ok. Price was great and only 45 minutes from Bristol motor speedway. $120 for a night. Staff was really nice. Let us check in early. Drove from Michigan and arrived Saturday morning. Was able to book this room at 10am and checked into roomph at 11.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Fine for a couple of days.
- Robert (8/5): Basics-Nothing more. - This is a story about an aging hotel that the owner is doing his best to keep it going. This hotel was built in the mid-1960s. It had a pool, a neat kiddie pool and a full service restaurant on-site. Climate control was through a master system that was constant flow with pneumatic thermostats. As time moved on, the volume of traffic may have shifted and things changed. The full service restaurant became a Mexican restaurant open for lunch and dinner (which is quite good and a real benefit!). But the constant flow system was expensive and sometime ago removed. Window units are mounted above the sink. They exhaust into a service hallway that in hot weather becomes very very hot. The heat radiates into the shower area making that area like an oven if the door to the shower and toilet are closed. The walls have been painted and painted and painted. The floor in the toilet area in my room has broken floor tile where the subfloor around the toilet has something going on. Tall grass and weeds. Dying landscaping. Filled in pool and kiddie pool. It looks sad and neglected. Now the good part: Great beds. Great pillows. Great shower. Clean! Quiet! Friendly family run hotel.
- Chris (8/5): Comfortable and budget friendly - Owner was very pleasant and gave good recommendations for local restaurants. Easy check in and out. Very reasonable rates, will stay again when working here next.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel OK; nothing fancy. - The hotel was adequate for my short stay. It was a place to sleep for the night.
- Gordon Fan (2/5): Dissapointed - am a non smoker, was given a smoking room, had a real hard time going to sleep , the pillows stunk of smoke and the spread smelled like smoke. the price was rediculace even for a race weekend. I have never paid that kinda price before and never will again. I am sure the price was upted after i booked it. will screen shot any reservations for now on.
