- Sudha (9/5): Excellent! Would love to visit again. - The entire property is beautiful. The location, rooms, staff, food… everything is perfect!!! There is no full sized mirror in the room. Of course, there is a wide mirror in the bathroom. But a full sized mirror would have been a great addition to the room interiors.

- Anirudh (1/5): Pathetic and hostile manager and receptionist. Not worth more than 10k. Wasted 22k for 1 day - Food and staff handling kitchen n house keeping were good Receptionist and manager don't deserve their position. We have paid 22k per day and their attitude and behavior is rude and rash. They are not even taking a complaint and feedback we were trying to give and were just being unreasonable

- Janet (8/5): Beautiful and tranquil place most of the time. - Very beautiful location, calm and peaceful with wonderful views over the lake. Birdsong in the trees and water fowl along the shore to watch. Tranquility. Sadly the tranquility was shattered on our last night when a visiting group of guests had dinner with loud music and very loud voices on the lake shore just under our balcony and window. The noise continued until past midnight. Staff did not intervene to ask these guests to quieten down.

We were very unhappy that communication from Waterwoods lodge was very poor.They just acknowledged that room was reserved for us and they didn’t mention any facilities and safaris that they could arrange on the same day.We had to arrange safari elsewhere.When we showed our booked safari elsewhere they said it was too far and we wouldn’t make it on time I.e 6 am.We had no option but rebook again with Waterwoods lodge.We have lost Rs 8100 because of poor communication from Waterwoods Lodge.We phoned the staff several times after booking the room but no one picked up the phone which was very annoying.We are very disappointed with booking.com and Waterwoods Lodge because of the poor communication. wouldn’t rebook with booking.com or Waterwoods lodge again especially when booking in India.

The safari was good - highlight was seeing wild elephants. Food was good. Rooms ok but a bit tired - floor had scratches From and grout on sink tiles needed replacing. Very poor communication from the sales/ booking team - didn’t reply to my messages via Booking.com or Watsapp. Staff at reception were fine.
- Dayavanti (9/5): Superb - serene location, beautiful, well-designed and maintained property. courteous staff. food is decent, but not exceptional for vegetarians, cant comment on the meat based dishes. noisy guests blasted music in common areas during the evening, inspite of request to tone it down. the management should set up a low noise related policy that is more appropriate for the serenity of the location and its proximity to wildlife in a tiger reserve.

- Rohit (8/5): The property location is great. The safaris run from the JLR property next door. Great stay! - All the meals were included, which was a good thing because there is no place in the vicinity for food. The property is completely dependent on the Jungle Lodges and Resorts (JLR) for the safaris, which are the main reason to visit this property. We managed to get a booking for both the boat as well as the jeep safari as it was off season. However, in season it may be difficult to get. Best time to visit this property is in the first quarter of the year.
- Karan (4/5): Daylight robbery - Just the Kabini Lake.. The rooms are not at all maintained. Chipped paint, mould and dirty walls. Bed sheets were old. Bad hygiene standards overall. Payment options are from the 1990s. I had to register Waterwoods resort as a beneficiary and then bank transfer the money. I mean who doesn’t accept a debit/credit card transaction in this day and age.

Towels average, rooms which are called facing the river are not, the big family room faces the pool and big trees. The smaller twin rooms have better view which is not clarified on booking.com

Staff were pleasant and friendly When I wanted to pay for the accommodation I was told that they don’t accept credit cards and it has to be only bank transfer. I found this odd. Please pass this to the property so that they can change their policy

- Jane (10/5): Excellent stay in a beautiful location - The resort was excellent. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The resort was all inclusive and the food was excellent. Plenty of choice and very tasty! The access to safaris was very good and although we sadly didnt see any tigers we saw plenty of wildlife. We particularly enjoyed the river safari! All staff were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel does not guarantee the booking until transfer is received and unfortunately the transfer took more time than expected. However, they did accept a cash payment with the promise of reimbursing us when the transfer went through.

- Sandeep (10/5): Exceptional - Location and property is worth all the money. Staff is extremely helpful and kind. As booking includes all three meals and it's a buffet, and the options were good. They were kind enough to make out-of menu food (Pongal) for my 2yr old kid.

We got delayed and checked in late and the staffs had saved us some food, which was a warm gesture of hospitality. The property staffs were rude. I had booked this property 2 weeks before my actual stay, but a family member passed away and I couldn’t make it. I asked for a refund and they did not agree & I was forced to move it to another date and travel. When asked if there will be any spotting during the jungle safari, one the staffs responded that this is not a zoo to show you tigers, if you are lucky you will see one which I found absolutely rude. Could have been better in communicating things.

I think the room and washrooms needs a lot of maintenance work to be done like painting etc. the health faucet in the washroom was leaking, shower curtains could have been provided. We saw ants crawling on the walls of the washroom, otherwise it was a great stay. Considering the other positives I would definitely recommend.

- Rajiv (10/5): Perfect holiday retreat in Kabini - Beautiful location, right on the edge of the backwater. We had rooms on the ground floor with great views. All the staff were very attentive and professional. Mr. Nagraj at the restaurant stands out for his helpful nature. The food was always very interesting, the menus varied and delicious. The arrangements for safaris and kayaking were also very good. We also enjoyed our morning walks around the neighboring JLR campus. It was hard to leave after 4 days. The pool water was a bit cold. The property should consider climatizing it.
