Guest Reviews
- Jeff (6/5): Different. - Rooms are above a Tabac which closes at 7pm (9pm on a Friday). You get the key for the bar/shop which you go through to access the back stairs to the rooms, taking care not to trigger the alarm behind the counter - it’s very loud!!
No other bars/restaurants in the village; nearest “life” is in Combourg although there is a fabulous boulangerie across the square.
- Julie (2/5): Wasn't allowed to Stay - Yes, they said in their description that there is a three hour window in the evening to check in, and yes they sent a check in email that morning reiterating the same. But we (two women and three children) were on day two of our first international trip and were still getting used to the country, language, time change, and technological issues, and absolutely nothing was going as planned. Still not set up to have cell service unless connected to WIFI, I never saw the message they sent in the morning. I did message at 10pm (when stopped for dinner on the road) telling him that we'd be arriving at midnight and asking for instructions, but we didn't receive the response until we arrived. The response was that our reservation was cancelled, and even after attempts to communicate further we never got another response. It was three am before we were able to check into an alternate place an hour away, which we were able to find fortunately with the help of the neighbors in this tiny, completely quiet (asleep) hamlet. I understand it was our responsibility to know the limits presented, but to leave us hanging at midnight in the desolate Brittany countryside seems so uncaring and unforgiving. We could have really been in trouble had it not been for the help of the neighbors, for which we are extremely grateful. With this rigid window, I wouldn't book, knowing that something out of one's control could leave you completely hanging without lodging.
- Roman (10/5): - the town is so nice like Disneyland and the people are so cool!
- Fabrice (10/5): Bretagne - Excellente experience - a découvrir
- Wendy & Adam T. (10/5): Room had everything we needed - The hotel owner also operates a restaurant downstairs which made meal times convenient.
A refaire!
- Sonia M. (10/5): A pleasant experience in Parislo - Convenient location, metro station is just outside the hotel. There is a laundromat across the street and many affordable restaurants around the corner. Paris is not too far by metro. Plus, the front desk gentleman speaks English and gives great information about places to see and visit around Paris. The price we paid for the room was worthy. We will definitely book a room here again next time we come to France.
- Geraldine (8/5): A place with a difference - We had a lovely time, the owners were very helpful. The place is quirky!
- Sean (10/5): We Would Stay Again Tonight - Highly recommend staying in this quaint village. Not a tourist in sight - except my family of three. Thirty minutes from Mont St. Michel. Room not large but was comfortable. My wife thought it was very nice to have a cafe downstairs. Local people frequent the cafe to chat with neighbors. Everyone was so very nice - friendly and helpful with language. Food was good. My wife and daughter liked Le Night very much. Bazouges la Perouses seems to have maintained much French culture that is lost in cities. I found myself curious about real estate and what it would be like to have a house and a couple of horses in the area. Seems like a good place for the soul. We would stay again tonight if it were possible.
- Jude (10/5): Overnight Stop - We booked the hotel to break up the journey to Cherbourg where we were getting the ferry. The village was lovely, the value for money was exceptional, the evening meal and the breakfast were excellent and the staff were lovely. Very modern. Lovely quaint village. Would definitely go back.
- KAREN (6/5): Unique little two room B&B - Unique little place in a quaint old village, they have only two rooms above the bar/restaurant, they are a bit narrow, as the building is very old. We had the room with a desk and the other room had a couch, the bathroom was VERY nice however with a rain shower and jets as well has the regular shower head, it looked like the bath had been recently re-done. At this time of the year there are not many places open to eat so having the restaurant downstairs was very helpful.
