- Kathleen (8/5): Very comfortable stay with a great price. - I love the location and Geraldine and Mohammed were both exceptional managers. The little hot water area with tea available was a godsend also after a long day on the road. Nothing really to note except our room on the first floor seemed a little nicer than the room in the second.
- FRANK (8/5): -
- Thiago (5/5): Ok to sleepover if you’re without family. - Location Older building, bed wasn’t super clean, hairs from somebody else were there still.

- Roxana (7/5): Should’ve stayed somewhere else - I think we paid to much for 2 rooms for 3 nights. The hotel is old and the rooms are small and outdated. The bathrooms are very small. The air conditioner didn’t work very well.

- Janis (6/5): -

- Sean (1/5): I didn’t stay, I ate 2 nights of money and went elsewhere . Pictures on the website don’t do it justice was like being i - Nothing, parking was horrible no ice machine, no vending machine, stains on everything. Everything! Was run down. Staff was on the rude side. Horrible smell. Whatever kinda fitness room there was, it was licked. Honestly, felt like a dungeon!!!!
- christian (10/5): - Was in town early and they still let me check in early👌😊 was a nice quite stay😊
- Lee (4/5): - 응대직원이 아주 친절했습니다. 시설이 노후되어 투자가 필요해 보입니다. 가족 모두가 시설노후와 청결면에서 실망했습니다.

- Kyle (9/5): -
- Dhamija (7/5): -

- Eric (5/5): - Dame aan de receptie was vriendelijk .
Bed was degelijk en proper. Dit hotel heeft een grondige renovatie nodig. Personeel doet zijn best om het te poetsen.

- Meghan (1/5): Never going back. - Central location. There were a lot of USB ports for charging devices, and a few plugs for the usb-c cubes. The wallpaper was peeling, the room smelled terribly of cigarette stink, and there were sticky spots on the desk when I checked in. The water smelled terrible, and clearly wrecks the coffee pot, didn’t even want to boil the water in the microwave—but I did try, and 4 minutes wasn’t enough time to make the water more than lukewarm.
- Jeff (6/5): - Very little parking. Very old facility with a poor remodel.
- Timothy (8/5): - Lots of staff in training. They try hard, but patience is need while they figure things out.
- Crystal (10/5): - Older property but comfortable beds for a good sleep
- Deo (8/5): - Right meet to Tim Hortons. Parking is tight but ok. Right off the Highway and waking distance to main street Smitjers
- Caroline (10/5): - Terrible parking and hotel is old and dark, definitely needs to be torn down.
- Caroline (2/5): - Hotel needs to be torn down
- Brawn (10/5): - Room was great. The staff was so nice and very accommodating Room was very clean
- christian (9/5): - Easy check in and out even though theire traning new staff👌😊
- Pam (6/5): - Staff was friendly. Hotel is old and not in great repair. Comfortable bed. The smell of cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke from other rooms was very unpleasant. Next time I travel to Smithers, I will look for alternate accommodations.
- Jay (8/5): -
- Jackie (10/5): - Clean room nice staff
- William (4/5): - In spite of it being more expensive than the other places that we stayed in it was not worth it. The ice maker wasn't working and apparently hasn't in years. The carpet was stained and muddy.
- Andrew (10/5): - .
- Cecil (8/5): - room was good
- KEITH (6/5): - Walking into the lobby you could tell immediately it was very old and had never been updated. I was only there for 1 night so just needed somewhere to lay my head but I would have not wanted to stay for longer. The staff were very nice. I would not stay there again.
- Kathie (5/5): Don't think we would stay here again. - Next to Tim Hortons for coffee in morning. The key to our u it did not work. So every time we went out we had to get the desk clerk to let us into our room. 🤨
- paulacW6365LS (8/5): No issues, spent one night as just passing through. Receptionist was very nice and helpful. There is no elevator. - It was very clean and comfortable. Budget friendly and easy to find. I had no issues and would stay here again. We had a queen room.
- Gurwinder Singh (7/5): Its was alright. - Location and friendly staff. Amenities, room cleanliness, loud AC.
- Jana (5/5): -
- Zdenek (7/5): - Location near the tourist information was nice. No view from the room.
- Ramona (4/5): - The clerk would not allow my visitors to come to my room. She told them she had to call me ( I looked but did not find a phone in my room). She walked them to my room. I have never experienced this before.
The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.
The bathroom door could not be locked because there was no silver plate on the door. The toilet is so low, it’s ridiculous. The toilet is the size for children in elementary school.
There is no place to safely park our vehicle, the option they had for me was to park in Timmy’s parking lot next door.
I will not return to this particular Sandman.
- Marylynn (8/5): - Clean comfortable room No breakfast
- annett (8/5): - Das Hotel war sauber und ansprechend. Es ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Personal war freundlich und hat uns bei unseren Anfragen gut geholfen.
- J (8/5): - Right beside Tim Hortons
- Margaret (10/5): - Great and convenient stop.
- Veronica (6/5): - The room was supposed to be a queen size bed but we only got a double. Smallest room we have ever had. Service was great though
- arlene (10/5): - This property is not for people with disabilities. They do not have the required disability entrance which is the law. Nor do they mention on their website that it is not disability friendly. They need to update their entrance that is required under the disability act
- Dennis (6/5): Confusion reigns - The Front Desk was very curt and unknowledgeable. Thank Goodness for the housekeeping staff. The room really needed a deep clean. Mold in bathroom I left behind my phone charger. When we contacted them they had us in the wrong room number? They told us it was not there. Please be in mind there are only stairs no accessibility. Oh well I guess.
- Terry (7/5): - Location Dirty carpets.
- Amy (2/5): - My room was filthy. Floors had not been vacuumed for so long I had to keep my shoes on. Bathroom had not been cleaned and had no toilet paper. The front desk closes at a certain hour so I had to go to another guest and get toilet paper. If that wasn’t bad enough at 6 am the power went out in my room…also no one around to fix this issue
- Wlodzimierz (10/5): - Nice clean room with all amenities that travellers might need. Friendly staff.
- Leah (4/5): - Every towel was stained. The doors don’t close quietly, they require some force to shut, so it sounds like slamming doors all night. Staff were knocking on my door at 8am asking if I was still here, then another staff member knocked on the door at 10am to ask if I dropped off my room key at the front desk. I informed that I did not and she showed me the key with my room number in her hand. Upon checkout I asked a lit the 8am knock and she said “it must have been housekeeping” and when I asked where the key to my room came from, she told me that they have extras in the event that a guest leaves for key in the room at check out, then the staff can open the door. She then told me that the key she brought to my room, was left on the front desk where anyone can grab it if they walked by.
- Heather (5/5): - Location Not enough parking spots
Rust in sink
Beds lumpy
- Julie (6/5): Good location, friendly staff - Good location for walking into town (10 minute walk) or to the river. Very friendly and excellent staff. Lobby was clean and tidy, room overall was pretty clean, comfy beds, the carpet desperately needs either a good clean or replacing and there was a large stain on the seat of the chair in the room. Overall good stay and the price was right.
- Terry (8/5): - Ok
- Randi (7/5): - Clean friendly bathtub I was charged extra from my pet which was not mentioned in the Booking.com price, which I prepaid and then had to pay extra at the hotel. The cost was therefore substantially higher than similar hotels.
- Steven (1/5): Never again - First of all the check in staff gave us key cards for the room on the second floor, only for us to get ti the room and find it takes actual keys, when we went to ask she told us we were wrong, only for her to walk up the the room and find it was actual keys. The door the the room was literally fall off from the screws in the hinges being so loose that you had the lift up on the doorknob with both hands to be able to latch the door. And then came time for a shower... tub was filthy. But hey at least there was good water pressure to clean it. Getting out of the shower and reached for a towel to find it brown and black with dirt stains, both towels in the bathroom looked like they had been used and just put back on the shelf.
And lets not forget the price on this. Almost $200 dollars for a crap hotel with a double bed in a crap town. When did this become the normal
- Coral (8/5): - 1 bed for myself.
- Demetre (7/5): -
- Carter (4/5): - Staff were great, building is very old and dirty, bathroom fans don’t work, towels were dirty and stained when we arrived
- Charlene (4/5): - the room was very old and tired, basic surface cleaning had been done but not to a very good standard, no screen in window, curtains falling off, air conditioning and bathroom fan sounded like an airport, no ice machine working in facility on one of the hottest days of the season, had to park behind Tim Hortons, semi trucks idling on road outside hotel all night - our Sandman visits in other parts of Western Canada always included some kind of breakfast - not here, and to top it off no cleaning after first day stay just some towels and amenities drop off outside door in plastic bag - not worth $361.00 for 2 nights
- Jim (8/5): -
- Muhammad (9/5): -
- Chantel (2/5): Not a great start to our family vacation. - I stayed here once before and hoped it was a one off however I was wrong. The room was a pet friendly room however once I opened the door I got hit with a humid wet carpet stank. The carpet was very dirty and gross to walk on. The AC was not working properly so I had to open the window for the entire night to cool down the room.
- Hanne (8/5): - Check in was lovely.
Many stairs to front reception and no elevator.
Parking is limited.
- Linda (8/5): - Good location
- Robert (2/5): - I am amazed this property is allowed to operate!! It is in zero compliance with any regulations for disabled patrons!!! After managing to get to our room went looking for ice. No machines in hotel went to front desk only ice machine broken. Sandman should remove there name from this establishment!!! Will never stay again.
- Haydn (8/5): Run of the mill hotel, nothing special but not bad either - Good location Ice machine was broken, some staff were not that helpful
- Robert Walters (7/5): -
- Anjan (8/5): - Only drawback was ac did not work. No elevator, although that did not bother me.
- William (8/5): Clean, reasonable price - Older hotel that's been renovated. It's not perfect but it's pretty good.
Clean, simple good for a stop on a road trip. Food is next door at Tim Hortons+ meh.
- Willliam (8/5): - The only issue for us was the soft mattress as we are used to a firm mattress.
- michael (10/5): - Great location
