Guest Reviews
- Stephen (10/5): - Large room good menu nice staff
- JULIE (10/5): - Great room with fridge, huge bathroom and great tea/coffee facilities.
Bed was so comfy and staff friendly.
Only snag on busy road, so very noisy traffic from 6am!
No parking either but we paid £18 in nearby Travelodge, so take this into account.
Would stay again.
- Nicholas (10/5): - Incredible find. We stayed across the road at the thyme tavern, newly refurbished room, extremely spacious, great bathroom, fridge and a wonderful steak dinner, suny so welcoming, will definitely be back!
- Martin (10/5): good but not the best - Hotel was good decent dize its not in the same building as the bar, it was across the road so wasnt so bad but there was a stained towl and a weed grinder left in the room from previous guests... otger than that no issues
- Michelle (8/5): - A small issue quickly sorted by the manager with a quick room change
A comfortable night sleep will defo recommend and return in the future
- Dianne (10/5): - Lovely clean room
- donna marie (10/5): - Lovely stay
Nice comfortable room.
- Tony (8/5): Pleasant Surprise - Let down by an air BnB option so needed an alternative. The corridor and stairs area prior to the room needs some TLC. My room looked out onto a roof area that needs tidying up. Old paint cans etc. However, my room was clean. Everything worked. Nice shower room. Comfortable bed. TV was good. Some noise from downstairs but didn’t stop me sleeping. Overall good value stay if you’re away on business.
- Joseph (10/5): - Staff are friendly, welcoming, and the property close to Thorpe park resort
- Terry (2/5): Terrible - Place was filthy
- Brad (8/5): - .
- Petr (10/5): - Very cool inn with strong wifi & great Indian food in the pub
- Chilumba (10/5): - Friendly owner, and I was able to go into their bar area where I met some amazing regulars. It was a really great experience!
- Nataliia (10/5): - Nice food, lot’s of care, lot’s of respect. I do like place, service, people who work in. Thank you so much
- Andre (2/5): - Entrance though back door via dirty passage area past bins. Narrow, loose lino passage up to very steep narrow stairway. Into large cheaply furnished room with every cupboard unit and drawers broken and unusable. Many broken tiles in bathroom floor and wall. Noise from upstairs and loud music (pub downstairs??) till late hours. Strong food smell at all times. Sash windows don't stay open without wedging something in. Bed lumpy with very thin mattress. Crisp clean sheets. No parking.
- IAN (8/5): - Very helpful staff and very friendly 😎👍
- Daniel Clive (10/5): - Noisy but nice. Saturday is party night it seems and festivities continue till late. Other than that it's a fine place to stay moderately close to Heathrow.
- Riley (10/5): Really happy - Wonderful staff stayed open later than usual as we’re gonna be late made sure we all good supplying us with whatever we needed even when you go down to the bar there polite and you can have a laugh with them overall really happy with it would definitely go again and would definitely recommend if your looking for a place of great hospitality big comfy rooms and an overall great place this is where you wanna go
- Verified traveler (6/5): Room for improvement - Last minute booking and to be honest would not normally stay in this type of establishment and sadly was a bit disappointed with overall appearance and standards.
- Melanie (10/5): Excellent accommodation - Lovely friendly pub/hotel excellent food and staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The friendliness of the staff was excellent. The food quality was restaurant standard and could not be faulted. However, the portion sizes are very big. Far too generous really but everything cooked fresh and the best curry I have had in many years.
- Daniel (10/5): Perfect for our what we needed - Clean tidy good location and very friendly staff. Will stay here regularly when in the area
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Tv wasn't working (Ariel completely broken)
Pillow was dirty (stained )
Shower leaked
Wi fi didn’t work
Door to room was hard to open and close
Wardrobe falling to bits
Chest of draws was broken..
Large dip in the floor which was covered by carpet..lost balance a few times cause of this..
milk was off ( lumpy)
No parking.. ( had to wait till end of the night when pub /shops closed to park in a lay-by )
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I booked a double bed but they put two single beds together but different heights so dissatisfied. Staff were friendly x
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location, not enough parking, rooms shabby and worn
- GARY (8/5): - Food is very good
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overnight stay in family room - Onl 3 of us staying one night in family room. The owner was very kind and helpful as we arrived at 2a.m. The hallways are a bit scruffy and carpets dirty but the room was very clean, beds comfortable and decent bathroom with clean towels
- Colin (8/5): - Clean and tidy room right in the centre of town
- Karina (4/5): Accommodation adjoined to a pub. - Loud music on until 11pm so no chance of getting to sleep before this time.
No hair dryer provided (very important for a female).
No radio working on TV (also very important as I listen to the radio a lot).
No towel rail holders - towels had to just left on spare bed.
Expensive rate for average accommodation with no breakfast.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very noisy place - It is a very small hotel and all rooms sit above a very noisy pub with live music. staying there just like sleeping on the big speaker and annoyed by strong bass, noisy music, strong vibrations and people screaming till midnight. Not for normal traveller.
- s (4/5): Not for families - Very noisy. No breakfast. Owner had no local knowledge e.g. When I asked where we could get breakfast he failed to mention the cafe right next door which was actually very good.
- Donald (4/5): - Great location, entrance and entrance hall very poor and dirty. Room ok.
- KATIE (2/5): Poor - Reviewed on trip adviser
- James (6/5): Very decent for a short or overnight stay - When me and my friend arrived at the place we were greeted by the owner, who was very friendly indeed. He happened to let us check into our room very early at no additional cost.
As we arrived into the room I was pleased with the condition it was in, and certainly sufficient for an overnight stay. The en-suite had clean towels, an unopened bar of soap and small bottles of shampoo and conditioner. There were no problems with using the kettle, and there was a plentiful number of sachets of coffee and sugar, with the exception of there being no tea.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay, and I certainly do not regret choosing this room as it is within my budget, and good value for an overnight stay.
- jill (10/5): Prince regent- little gem ;) - Stayed in family room with my two daughters. Had family room which was absolutely perfect for use.Staff really helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend- a well disguised little haven. Only sorry I didn't have time to enjoy the pub too! :)
- Neil (6/5): Served the purpose for a one night stay before a v - Ideal Place for a one night stay if visiting Thorpe Park..I wouldn't want to stay for a week but good for purpose..Clean Bed and a place to make a cup of tea..A shower that worked well. All we needed for one night.
- Gerry (4/5): Prince Regent, Chertsey - The room was overpriced for what it offered. The public areas leading to the room were filthy and stank.
The room itself was acceptable but there was no soap and the toilet seat was coming off. The bed itself was comfortable.
In all very, very poor value for £60 a night
- Stacey (10/5): Would return again thankyou - Clean rooms and staff where polite and helpful
- michael (8/5): - Very welcoming brilliant food and reasonable price
- Hilary (8/5): Thames Path Walking stop - One night stop with walking companion. Dont expect 5 star but clean and friendly place value for the money.
- Cho kwan (8/5): - Good and comfortable for buisness stat
- Stephanie (10/5): We'll be back soon! - Lovely gentleman, really helpful. Room was perfect, couldn't really fault our stay. Would stay again.
- emma (10/5): - stayed here as a base to local theme parks. staff very friendly, great food and a good sized room. good value for money.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Could be improved - The room was an ok standard but bed and pillow pretty uncomfortable. The main issues where that my room was not cleaned throught my two night stay, the entrance way had a mop and bucket and Hoover in it the whole time, the view from my window on to the roof was covered in rubbish and cigarette ends and the area around the entrance door was dirty with a old shampoo bottle left there for the whole stay. To me it seemed more like a cheap hostel than a hotel in the way it was run. I would have been better off staying in the travel lodge down the road if I had know which is a similar price per night.
- Jason (8/5): Nice place - Great value nice hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not a hotel! - The "hotel" is in fact some rooms above a pub. Not what we were expecting! We had to go into the pub to book in which was packed and very loud ( lots of drunk men watching football). Having booked the hotel for myself and my daughters we felt very uncomfortable. Once in the room the noise from downstairs was really loud and the room was really shabby. Would not recommend.
- Luke (6/5): Half decent - Poor shower (cold) decent enough cleanliness, not as good as the previous ratings I read.
- damian (8/5): Awesome service and friendly locals - The location is central to town , meals are well priced and great quality . The staff go out of their way for you
- Duncan (8/5): Nice place - cheap and cheerful! - Nice place, great location. Could do with air conditioning in the rooms, but it was the hottest day of the year. Friendly staff!
- Pete (10/5): Well situated. - Nice clean room, friendly staff, would stay here again.
