• Sarah (7/5): Convenient location, comfty bed! - I was a bit concerned with the bad reviews on Google, but was pleasantly surprised. Bed was comfty, breakfast was okay (view is incredible from the restaurant), room was spacious. Location was super convenient, close where the tours go from and lots of good restaurants! You’re definitely paying for the location! Floor was a little bit dirty/gritty in the room but they have disposable slippers so I just walked around in those when I was in the room. Fan in bathroom didn’t work and it had an unpleasant smell (fine if you leave the window open but make sure you shut the door to avoid mosquitos in the room). There’s no where to fill up your water bottle but you can buy bottles of water for 40 pesos at reception.

I had to ask to get a hot weater kettle and cups as none were supplied in the room. Breakfast was provided but it is very ordinary. No butter or jam for the bread.

• 丞佑 (1/5): Everything’s fucked up - None I am writing this review to report a very concerning experience at Aqua Travel Lodge. Our group of eight guests stayed at the hotel from April 2 to April 6, 2026, occupying four rooms. On the morning of checkout (around 07:30), three rooms were processed without issue. However, one room was suddenly held by the hotel due to an alleged “ink stain” found on the bedsheet during housekeeping inspection. We immediately denied causing any damage. Upon personally inspecting the bedsheet, the mark appeared to be a pink-colored stain, not ink. The explanation later provided by staff suggested it might be lipstick, which was inconsistent with our situation, as no such items were used or brought during the stay. To resolve the matter transparently, we offered to have all our luggage inspected under full video recording to verify that we did not possess any related items. The hotel refused this request and did not conduct any further investigation. Despite the lack of evidence, the hotel insisted on charging 1,700 PHP. Because of this delay: • Our pre-arranged transportation incurred a 500 PHP waiting penalty • We were forced to arrange alternative transport at a significantly higher cost (9,000 PHP vs. original 6,800 PHP) • Our schedule was severely disrupted, including a same-day flight We attempted to resolve the issue through the Tourist Police and the local Tourism Office, but no resolution was reached. The hotel continued to refuse inspection and maintained the charge without providing sufficient justification. We were later informed by the police that the hotel did not accept the outcome of the mediation by the Tourism Office and Tourist Police, and had escalated the matter further. Because of this, we made a deliberate effort to document the entire process (including photos and videos) to ensure that the facts of the incident are clearly preserved and can be fairly reviewed.

• Beata (1/5): Unforgettable experience - Staff were nice and served good meals. Staying in Aqua Lodge is one of the most memorable experience that we had in El Nido. Despite the on going war in the middle east, 2 weeks before our arrival I asked to cancel the reservation, as my family won't be able to arrive, as the flight have all been cancelled, but Aqua Lodge didn't consider it at all, despite me providing the proof of all flights cancelation. Upon arrival they were surprised that it was only me and my partner arriving, despite letting them know multiple times prior, and on top of that they didn't even provide me the keys for all of the rooms that I've paid for. But kudos to front desk and the servers as they are very kind
• Frank (2/5): Never consider staying there again after being ripped off - Breakfast was included on 3rd floor overlooking the beach 2,000 peso deposit which they find some way of saying you damaged something so they can keep it. My bed sheet had a stain and they charged me 3,700 pesos for. The internal kept cutting out all the time. And the electric popped off and one one day.

So sorry I didn't stay all the nights there. Great location. Great price. Comfortable. Such a scenic breakfast. Other days were at Lolo Oyong guest house, this was much better and cheaper.

• Marcin (3/5): Happy place without happy ending - Friendly staff, good location good value for money On check out we were charged 700 pesos for stained towel (yellow stain from mango - which was explained to staff) towel wasn't lost, wasn't torn apart was stained... for our 7 noght stay we didn't asked once for room cleaning, we didn't asked for towels change. All activities we took in elnido we took with hotel, we purchased there all our drinks. We also booked airport transfer with hotel. So we found this extra charge very upsetting. I will not argue if like I've mention towel will be lost or torn but stain which probably will easily disappear in first washing? In my opinion hotels should be prepared that towels can be found a bit dirty and i wish to all hoteliers only with a mango! I'm travelling all around the world and that's the first time when I found myself in situation like this. That's the only reason for my low score of Aqua Travel Lodge.

• N8 BC (10/5): The right place for me - Amazing view of the water. Laying in bed while I look outside, quite soothing. I was on the 4th floor. Water pressure is great in the bathroom. Hot and cold water is perfect. Maybe it would have been nice to have additional bed sheet? The staffs were amazing. Very kind, very accommodating. Breakfast while facing the ocean is a big wow factor as well. No complains. It's not a 5 star hotel so I don't expect anything more than what they can give. Room cost is just right.

• Jeffrey (1/5): Overpriced Nightmare: Broken Toilet, Broken Shower, Zero Accountability - The breakfast was decent, and the beach view while eating was probably the best part of our stay. The location is fairly convenient, although it is at the very end of the main town area. Unfortunately, the issues we experienced completely overshadowed the few positives. BEWARE!!!!! We booked an ocean view room here for our honeymoon and it turned into a complete nightmare. From day one (room 305), our toilet wouldn’t flush as soon as we checked in. Instead of starting our day, we had to wait for maintenance. That same night, the toilet broke AGAIN, and the shower was defective, the water was either freezing cold or scalding hot. Even after staff “fixed” it, we were left with lukewarm water and extremely low pressure. Day 2, we left our keys for repairs, came back, and the toilet was broken again. This repeated until our last day when we gave up. For our entire 3-day stay, we NEVER had a working toilet and were forced to use the lobby restroom, which was literally marked “OUT OF ORDER” lol. So we basically paid for an overpriced, plumbing-smelling storage room with a bed. After multiple follow-ups for compensation, they offered 300 PHP ($5 USD) per person, but it wasn’t even a refund. It was a discount toward booking a tour through them, meaning we’d have to give them MORE money. Insulting. We also couldn’t switch rooms because they were fully booked. When we pushed back, they offered only a 300 PHP refund for our tricycle ride to the airport. Then it got shady: we asked for a receipt/written confirmation and staff said the manager “won’t allow it.” They also refused to give the manager’s name or let us speak to them. The manager completely hid behind the front desk staff. Even laundry pricing was inconsistent: quoted 50 PHP/kg in the morning, then 100 PHP/kg later. If you value your trip and sanity, stay elsewhere. Imagine if something worse happened. This place shows exactly how they handle issues after they’ve taken your money. We wish we listened to the negative reviews. Sorry only goes so far.

We had to open the window on the toilet or else it will accumulate smell throughout the room. The water in bathroom sink has very poor pressure. We barely cant wash out hands due to the water pressure. It wasn’t a pleasant stay.

Wir mussten sie zweimal rufen, um es zu reparieren. Insekten im Zimmer viele Insekten. der Boden war dreckig. Baustelle vor unserem Balkon. Viel Lärm wegen der Baustelle früh am Morgen definitiv kein Meerblick, sondern Baustelle. Schlechtes Frühstück mit wenig Auswahl. Nur Eistee zum Frühstück? Man musste für den Housekeeping den Schlüssel abgeben. WTF! trotz Schild an der Türe please make the Room kamen sie nicht. Uns wurde das nicht vorher erklärt. undichte Fenster. Trotz abgemachten Termin für Abholung vom Flughafen mussten wir über 40 Minuten auf das auf den Transfer warten. Das WC hat schlecht gerochen. Wasserschäden an der Wand. kaputter Glas Bilderrahmen über dem Bett mit herabfallenden Stücken!

• viasu (8/5): - ..The fact that you responded to the review has made me reconsider the rating for your hotel. but the problems I expressed are real. Regarding the transportation service, you made money from this intermediation, we paid you, not the driver, when you make commitments, stick to them. We were misled by the hotel regarding the transfer vehicle we paid for. From the first day, we clearly agreed on a van with comfortable individual seats, and the hotel received photos of the exact vehicle type. At the time of payment, it was confirmed that the transfer would be the same or at least similar. Instead, we were given a much smaller van, barely fitting five adult men with their luggage. As a result, my friends and I endured a 5-hour transfer in extremely uncomfortable and exhausting conditions. In addition to this, the hotel conditions were disappointing: The toilet seat was very old and extremely dirty The breakfast was very poor and honestly better not offered at all The glasses at breakfast looked greasy and not properly cleaned, which raised serious hygiene concerns Overall, this was not what we paid for, and the experience made us feel deceived and uncomfortable. I do not recommend this hotel.

It is near in restaurants. Their free breakfast was also great. There a little off when it comes the transportation. No proper communication for the van at first PPS-EN but above all they were great.

• Vernon (4/5): About what you should expect in the Philippines - They had a very nice breakfast and the staff was friendly. We booked under because it said they were beachfront. Technically the eating area on the second floor goes over the street and on top of another building which make it beachfront but the lodging is not beachfront. The shower didn't have water so I had to call and get the water going but never got the hot water going for a shower. Wifi was spotty at best.

Värst var lukten från avlopp🥵 Trots att man vill ha städat hände inget,frukost det är bara namnet....Ingen kylskåp,hårtorkarr ur funktion.Ingen nattlampa vid sängen.

De ne pas avoir su que l hôtel est en travaux actuellement. D'être obligée de demander tous les jours de rétablir la pression d'eau pour pouvoir se doucher. Un frigo serait le bienvenu

• John (6/5): Good for the price - Basic but tasty breakfast with choice of several dishes. Room was basic and in need of deep clean / renovation. Shower preasure was very low and hot water was hit or miss! Staff were excellent and always friendly and helpful
• Adrian (6/5): - Booked and stayed in a Deluxe room for 2 nights. the Deluxe room appears to reflect the amazing views of the harbour not the room itself. It’s really a cheap and cheerful place close to everything. The room itself had some issues. First, there was no hot water in the shower. Well at least initially. When I asked reception they promptly checked it and advised that the hot water is solar powered. So no hot showers. Yet the next day it worked when it was cloudy and was checked after it worked even though a typhoon was around so really have no idea. Second, the air con and lights need the room key inserted and were only given one key so the room is hot when you come back. Third, the balcony sliding door did not lock properly so could be opened by jiggling a little, which was ok given we were on the fourth floor and you’d have to be Spider-Man to climb up from floor below or drop down from the roof to get in, noting this is offset with a room safe so relatively minor. Fourth, as you cannot flush paper after using toilets in the Phillipines it would have been nice if they emptied the bins each day. Fifth the bed was uncomfortable. Oh and I have no idea why there are small round holes in the ceiling above the bed and above the shower. I plugged them with toilet paper but it seem pretty weird

• Graham (6/5): - Property location good - convenient. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Room had a nice view but there was no blanket or doona. Did not like the bathroom as it was integrated into toilet area and you had to shower in a toilet basically. Also very noisy with nightclub next door

• Jane (1/5): We checked out early. The staff were cold and unwelcoming. - Nothing. The only positive was the location being close to the beach and on the main strip. Everything, especially how dirty the room was. We knew the room would be basic given the price, but it was a lot worse than we imagined. The room was infested with mosquitos, flies, and other insects, most likely due to the holes in the ceiling, or the fact that the ‘balcony’ door did not close properly. I say ‘balcony’, it was more of a window ledge that was almost touching the building construction next to the hotel. We got woken up around 7am each morning due to the construction work taking place immediately outside the hotel room. If you were expecting a view, I hope you like a half finished building as that is all you will see. The bathroom was the worst part of all. There were open drains which absolutely stunk, used plasters and contact lenses left on the window sill from however long ago, insects coming out of the sink hole, and just general grime. Don’t think you can clean yourself though, the shower water pressure is equivalent to a watering can. You also have to ask reception for toilet roll as it wasn’t provided in the room. We also had to empty our own bin despite asking reception for housekeeping in the morning. It didn’t even look like housekeeping were employed at the hotel. The reception staff in general were rude, unhelpful, and always looking at their phones. We were made to feel unwelcome and that we were an inconvenience. All of this led to us checking out early and booking another hotel. It was only when we did this that the staff actually spoke to us. Definitely the worst accommodation we stayed in during our time in the Philippines. Save your money and book somewhere else!
