- Carver (10/5): Remote Island Appeal - This place is a bit more remote on the island, but that ends up being part of the appeal. It feels genuinely local, and you’re removed from the more crowded areas. The couple (Jenny and Erik) who run the property are truly incredible. They put so much care into creating a space that feels welcoming and easy to settle into. I ended up meeting some wonderful people there, which I think says a lot about the kind of environment they’ve built. Being right on the waterfront is a huge plus in Aruba — it’s hard to overstate how nice that is. There’s also a restaurant right next door that always seemed lively and well enjoyed. One small note: Despite the tireless hard-work of Graciela, the property’s wonderful and dedicated caretaker, I did notice a few cockroaches in the room during my stay. I didn’t mention it at the time, so I didn’t give them a chance to address it. Other than that, it was a really memorable experience. If you’re looking for something relaxed, social, and a little more local — and you’re not overly fussy about small things — this is a great spot.

- Dalia (9/5): UN LUGAR ENCANTADOR PARA UNA GRAN ESTANCIA - Su Ubicación, disponibilidad y accesibilidad, una muy buena oferta de alojamiento por el precio que pagas, Tiene unas muy bonitas instalaciones , acceso al mar, muelle, y amenidades que permiten una estancia agradable y cómoda. Es un lugar tranquilo y ameno que vale la pena seguir visitando. Creo que se deberia hacer un mantenimiento o cambio a las griferias por unas de palanca que garanticen un cierre hermético y mejor manejo, lo mismo para las pomas de las puertas. tambien actualizar algunos utencilios de cocina que ya están muy desgastados como destapadores y cucharones. Hay un detalle en el apartamento asignado con respecto a una ventana existente entre el baño y una de las habitaciones, tuve que conseguir un cartón para sellarla pues a través, de ella pasan los ruidos olores y la luz a la habitación lo que interrumpe el descanso. seria muy bueno que la sellaran.

- Lucas (10/5): Días relajados al borde del mar - El ambiente, el diseño del edificio en madera, muy cálido y simple, la vista al mar desde nuestra habitación incluyendo el balcón donde desayunábamos viendo el mar, el acceso directo al mar con kayacs disponibles para remar en forma segura cruzando a la glass island y recorriendo la costa de Savaneta. En fin, mucha tranquilidad, un ambiente caribeño nada artificial, y adicionalmente un excelente restaurante al lado, aunque también la posibilidad de cocinarse uno mismo. Pasamos excelentes días allí y lo recomendamos fuertemente. Es dificil escribir alguna crítica, pues el lugar nos encanto, tal vez la playa es muy pequeña, (mínima) pero para mi eso es parte del encanto.

- GINA VANESA (9/5): - El apartamento y la playa en las noches es una fantasía hermosa No tiene sala de recepción la señora administradora solo se vio cuando llegamos le pregunté por información y todo se lo dejo a la señora Graciela que fue demasiado atenta ,la señora administradora pidiendo que no podíamos sentarnos fuera de nuestro apartamento porque esa parte le correspondía es decir NO tienen administración falta organización mucho desorden en la primera impresión al llegar se ve muy feo,que pesar por lo demás todo bien

- Sara (10/5): Cozy hotel by the water - This place is a gem. We loved being right by the water, we could see the ocean from bed, so I have to say more? Such a cozy and cute place, you have everything you need to enjoy the water and the beach. There is a shared kitchen if you need it, kind of hostel ambiance. I was a bit worried about the restaurant so close to the hotel/beach but honestly didn’t bother us at all. They kept the noise to a minimum and by 10:30pm was pretty much empty. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back!

Tiene un restorán al lado que es excelente y por estar alojado allí tuvimos un 10% de descuento. Te ofrecen muchos accesorios. Por ejemplo cañas de pescar, kayaks, reposeras, etc. Está en la zona sur de la isla. Muy lejos de todo. Es para instalarse en el lugar y no moverse mucho

- Roswitha (10/5): - Die Lage des Coral Reef Beach ist ausgezeichnet für jeden, der es mag etwas abseits des Touristentrubels seinen Urlaub zu genießen. Fußläufig befinden sich 2 gute Fischrestaurants, der Ausblick und der kleine Strand direkt na der Anlage ist Erholung pur. Die zimmergröße ist ausreichend. Von der Ausstattung steht alles zur Verfügung was man benötigt. Inklusive ein kajak, mit dem man direkt gegenüber zu seaglass island fahren kann. Andere Touristen kommen hier mit gebuchten Touren her. Die Gastgeber sind super. Wenn wir wieder nach Aruba kommen, dann sicher wieder in diese Unterkunft.

- Rene von den Driesch (8/5): - Die kleine Anlage war echt nett und sehr ordentlich gepflegt. Auch hier war das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit nett. Für ein paar Tage echt empfehlenswert. Ein Auto sollte man haben. Das Restaurant nebenan ist hervorragend und vom selben Inhaber. Hier kann man etwas schnorcheln aber bei weitem nicht wie an anderen Stellen. Ich würde wieder dort buchen. Es war weit und breit keine Ausgehmöglichkeit .nirgendwo gab es breakfast. Man muss am besten alle selber zum frühstücken kaufen. Auf Aruba ist aber auch alles mega teuer. 2 Liter Milch 5,50 Dollar, eine Tüte Chips 7 Dollar etc.

- Christina (10/5): Over all excellent value and location - The location is ideal if you want to explore all of Aruba and get a real sense of the island beyond the tourist hotel strip on the northern beaches. San Nicolas and Baby Beach are super close, maybe 15 minutes drive, and Oranjestad wasn't too far either. It was great having a little beach and dock and being able to use the hotel kayaks and life jackets to check out Seaglass Island. It was also great being a 5 minute walk from Zeerover, the best deal for dinner that we found on the island. We didn't eat at Flying Fishbone, which shares a fence with Coral Reef Beach, because we didn't feel like we needed to splurge that much for good food, but it's very popular and everyone eating there seemed very happy. We did use the Flying Fishbone parking lot one evening when the small hotel parking lot was full. Apartment #2 has a bedroom with 2 queen beds, a dining room, a small, fully equipped kitchenette (I think the only thing making it a kitchenette vs a kitchen is that it has a two burner cooktop vs a stove. The kitchen has a door directly to/from the parking lot, which made it super easy to bring in bags and groceries. The bedroom also has a door to the courtyard and beach access, which made it even faster to get to the water. By the end of our 9 nights my husband and I were finding our bed a bit hard, but that was our only real complaint. It's not fancy or super modern, and you need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but the apartment had everything we needed for our time in Aruba including beach towels. We brought our own snorkeling gear but we could probably have just used the gear available in the courtyard. You also don't need to bring a cooler for beach trips as there are several available to borrow in the shared kitchen off the courtyard. Graciela was very welcoming and does a wonderful job cleaning -- the apartment was spotless. The people staying here all seemed very chill and kind, no noisy partiers.

The setting is nice and quiet. Very small grounds. If other guests have habits you may not like its hard to get away onnthe property. Restaurant attached is noisy, ovrrpriced and overrated. Walk to zeeovers!

- Stephen Bradley (10/5): - When many think of Aruba they imagine casinos, all inclusive resorts and cruise ships. There is a lot more to the island. Ocean Reef Beach Apartments was the perfect fit on our trip. The owner and management is fantastic, the location was just what we wanted. We were there on Super Bowl Sunday and the owner brought out a big screen TV and we all watched the game with our feet in the sand! It’s right next to Flying Fish, one of the best restaurants on the island and owned by the same person. We swam right off the dock area and kayaked nearly every day. Highly recommended

Additional supplies for kayaking and snorkeling was also really nice to have

It is 5 minutes drive away from Mangel halt beach and only 20 minutes drive away from the best snorkeling place baby beach on the very east south corner

Victor was informative and was there to help any time, and Garcelia provided great housekeeping when requested. There are two great restaurants nearby. Flying Fishbone is just next to this property and Zeroover is 3 min walk. Two of the best restaurants in Aruba. I highly recommend this place for booking.

- Howard (4/5): - Property was marketed as a non smoking property. It is not. Many people were smoking and with the poor quality of the doors and windows the smoke came in my room. The WiFi was poor at best. There was no hot water for showering. No beach, only a pier. Television did not work.

Expedia's website also did not mention that this location did not have hot water. The temperature of the water was acceptable, but it would have been nice to know that before booking the room. This was a nice location with friendly people. We enjoyed our stay.

There is also a small private beach with water access, absolutely loved it. They had hammocks, snorkel stuff, etc. Room was clean and had house keeping daily. They also gave us a restaurant at flying fish bone next door. We would absolutely stay here again.
- Allison (2/5): - Ugh. I absolutely hate writing bad reviews especially when people are so friendly however, I feel like people should be aware. The manager was so sweet and kind and helpful so if there’s any upside to this, let it be that, When we booked this, we knew we wouldn’t be at a 5 star all-inclusive resort. Based on the photos, we knew it would be a bit older and out dated, but we were very shocked upon arrival. You have to carry your luggage through sand just to get to the extremely steep/wide steps and that were not easy to get up. Once getting in the room, you realize it is a shared balcony with other guests… which is fine. Walking inside, there were two huge doors directly in front of a queen sized bed… Sittin in a 10x10 room. We had no where to put 1 let alone two suit cases… Following, there were huge cracks in the floor, insect repellent (for the room) on the shelf, the floors were soaking wet and the A/C was not working. Not to mention, the lighting in there showed ever speck of dust and dirt all over the place. WiFi did not work, and coffee machine was dirty. I feel horrible writing this, but we ended up having to book and spend an additional $1000 for our trip because we simply could not stay there. Again, we knew we were getting old, but we didn’t know we were getting what we got.

- Rhonda (10/5): Perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the 'real' Aruba! - It felt like 'home.' The vibe of the entire place is calm, quiet, peaceful & literal feet from the water. Erik & Jenny have created a place to relax and enjoy the Caribbean. Gabriela keeps the place very clean and you can tell it is her pride & joy to have a nice place for everyone. I loved the 'Community Kitchen' where people left extra food they bought but didn't use, or to cook in. The 'Community' bug sprays, lotions, shampoos, etc. And the random hammocks hanging for leisure were wonderful!

- Mitchella (8/5): - This was an excellent property. We were a walk from Zeerovers which is a must eat restaurant on the island. Next door to an upscale restaurant. Private beach and kayaks available. The only downside is the property is very outdated. The stove and fridge were rusty. A little updating and this could be a four to five star stay!

Personally I feel that this is not better than a 7/10. - - Staff is very friendly. - Spacious family apartment. - Daily housekeeping (on the other hand this is absolute necessary for the apartment). - The little entry to the water is nice. - Great restaurants nearby (Flying Fishbone, Zeerover, Kamini, Collrado Shack, etc.). - Lukewarm water is not as bad as thought. - Family room with sea view has no real sea view. - AC was either too cold or too warm because the door gaps are too big to ensure a proper climate control. - Apartment stuff needs to be renewed. Especially bathroom and couch. - Cockroaches (not the first guests mentioning this in the review). - Private entry to the water is nice but often occupied by other guests (e.g. towel over deckchairs for over 3 days without anyone actually lying on it). Also, you would be sitting on the deck directly next to restaurant guests. - For the price paid we feel that it was high compared to what we got. We stayed 1 week and after that had a second week in an apartment in the north of Aruba for a similar price with way more benefits and much nicer.
- Nikolay (10/5): Exceptional - This is a great place to stay if you set your expectations right. You will need a car to get to the downtown cafes and entertainment and popular beaches. You will be a few steps away from your personal beach, you will step onto the sand right out the door, you will have free kayaks and hammocks and chairs at your disposal any time you want. We stayed in the family suite, room 9, two adults and two kids, and there is much more room in there than in a double bed room that we usually book at hotels. A hotel would probably get you a more modern interior but you will also get more noise and crowds. Here you are likely to feel like you are at your own vacation home. Eric the host and all the maids are great and responsive and make the stay as comfortable as you can get it.

- Antonio Illescas (4/5): - There is NOTHING around the property for dinning, lunch, or breakfast. There’s only Flying Fish Bone, which is good but it’s very expensive and it’s not for your daily going out, but rather for special dinners. The other place on the other side is even more expensive. The place has like 4 different WiFi connections and they all not work well or are very weak. The only one that works well is the 5G one. The apartment smelled like mold and there were small cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen. I would say that it was VERY expensive for what it offers. Public transport is far and taxis to Oranjestad are 33-35 dollars each way. The workers are very nice and the place is quaint but for the price we paid, I don’t think we’ll be staying here again, I’ll stay at Eagle Beach next time like I did my first time in Aruba; similar prices for a much better area.
- Kevin (9/5): Perfect simple and relaxing vacation spot. - We felt like Coral Reef is a rare find because of the location right on the water, the beach courtyard, close to groceries and some good restaurants. We wanted to stay away from the tourist end of the island at a comfortable and convenient place. If you're not expecting something fancy you'll be very happy here and you definitely can't beat the price. We went to Mangel Halto Beach a couple times and enjoyed it much more than Eagle Beach because it wasn't packed and there was a lot of shade. The shared space right on the water adds a lot of extra space to your rented apartment here. Our kids called it the downstairs beach. We were also surprised to have access to their shared snorkel equipment, beach chairs, and sea kayaks. We borrowed everything we wanted to use and never had to rent anything during our stay. Also, the caretakers are very responsive and the rooms are cleaned daily. I wish the room had been just a little nicer but for the price I couldn't be happier. The kitchenette in the room was sufficient to cook simple meals. There is also a shared kitchen downstairs with a larger fridge and a gas stove with an oven. We used our in room kitchen and the main kitchen every day for making meals. Everything is adequate but not fancy. For example, the shower only has one handle and no hot or cold setting. It was always warm but not hot. I told my wife it would be like staying at a cabin on the beach and that's pretty much what we got. Nobody who wants a hotel chain experience will stay here anyway. Expect it to be a little rustic but comfortable.
- Jeffrey (3/5): Poor - Treatment by the staff A little dirty untidy and sand all over. They should put a concrete walkway or stepping stones from the rooms to the parking lot and cover the parking lot with asphalt. The door of the bathroom doesn't close properly.
