west (9/5): Cozy stay in north ga mountains - Beautiful location secluded in the woods. There were some sanitary issues, there was hair in the drain catch of the shower and the communal coffee pot filter hadn’t been changed in some time, it was crusty etc. excusable but still a bit off putting.

I would like to plan a longer stay in the future. - We loved the cabin with hot tub, the scenery, the well kept property, lovely landscaping, amazing breakfast, and both JJ and Sherry in the front office were exceptionally helpful during check-in. Everyone we met at the property were lovely and welcoming. I would definitely return for a future vacation. I can't really think of anything. We probably would have purchased firewood ahead of time if we knew that it was an option for a wood burning fireplace, but that wasn't a big deal. Everything was lovely, and the cabin was quiet and comfortable!

Julie (10/5): - The room was very nice, and there were many features we didn't have time to take advantage of, like the spa, horseback or carriage rides, etc. The breakfast was absolutely delightful and the entire staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Metz (10/5): Not a negative 💕 - The staff was so amazing. We were traveling for a very difficult funeral. Everyone was so kind. The service was exceptional. I didn't like that there were other people who wanted to find faults. The couple's restaurant was undergoing renovations, which was explicitly explained at the front desk, and flyers were everywhere. A very rude man and woman came into the restaurant accusing the young waitress of neglecting them at the other restaurant site, when she tried to explain that it was closed due to safety and restroom issues, she was accused of lying and was yelled at and belittled to the point of being in tears. We pointed out to these awful people that young servers are NEVER in control of construction and that they can bring their concerns to management, not wait staff. My main point is that those people, with judgmental and snooty attitudes no matter what was going on, tried to ruin our dinner. They failed. The food AND service, was amazing, and the "special" dessert of homemade cannolies was amazing

Marco (10/5): Excellent stay! - Everything… it is a place for relax. Complimentary breakfast is awesome. Staff is so helpful and friendly. Nice place for spend days away from loudly cities. Pool was not available or not heated, but it wasn’t a big deal.
rebecca (4/5): Not the same as it use to be as new people on staff - We love the property as my husband and I come every year. We love the lay out of Mt. Laurel The new staff they have working. Not friendly! Also we were double charged for things and when asking the staff they dont even mention a refund. I have tried to email in but no response. We were charged for double horse riding, water fall book which we never asked for and also the mining passes. We were going to do the mining however because of the many issues were were not able to go. Scheduling issues for horses. We did ask for a late check out and was willing to pay for it but after all the issues we had over the weekend we were ready to leave. When checking out they seen we did not stay until late check out b ut there was not questions asked why.

Whitekettle (10/5): Long weekend. - Very comfortable bed. Great view. Plenty of spotless white towels. Super clean room and it smelled lovely. Breakfast was great especially the pancakes. No TV in the bedroom, that's good! Comfy couch. TV in the living room didn't have hundreds of channels, that's good too! Easy to use fireplace. Swing on the porch to sit and spot birds and deer. Hot tub got hot fast and had strong jets. Our room got warm or cool right away, no waiting forever. So nice and quiet. Even with a large group on a retreat at the same time as us, well we had no clue until breakfast that there was anybody else there. Will visit again without question. The little coffee maker. Something bigger and stronger. Each morning it smelled like it was burning. A little kettle to boil water for a cup of tea would have been nice.

Sarina (4/5): Had an uncomfortable night sleeping in the truck due to a roach running around on the wall. - The staff was nice. Breakfast was good. The area was pretty. The bathroom was not cleaned well. There was a dead roach in the tub and the wall of the bathroom behind the toilet had yellow dried liquid looking stuff on it. When we turned out the lights for bed we saw a big roach on the wall. Tried to kill it, but it was moving too fast. Since it got away, I decided to sleep in the truck. I can’t deal with bugs.

Had to pick up and drop off used towels very small, shallow refridge. Door wedged in and didn’t open fully. Included breakfast was often out of item requested. Was mostly a Buffett and offering didn’t vary.

Seeing the horses every morning wandering around in the pasture was absolutely lovely. Everything was well kept well maintained, the staff was so kind. Nothing, it was a lovely day!

We stayed in the lodge with our son and daughter in law for an extended weekend and the Christmas feel of Dahlonega and Helen. We visited some close falls and parks. We enjoyed the carriage ride and horseback riding. Food was delicious and all the staff from the office to the stable were fantastic. We will be back for sure.

DRMacKay (10/5): A true gem...found in Georgia - Not gold but the next best thing to it. :-) Where do I begin to share with you of all the good things? The resort’s location is only fifteen minutes from downtown Dahloneaga and situated very scenic rolling hills and amongst beautiful fall-colored trees. Paved roads provide easy access throughout the resort property. As a family, we lodged in Cabin #4 which is nestled amongst many trees, very quiet, has numerous of windows, and a balcony for viewing the beautiful fall-colored artistry. It provided a cozy warm rustic atmosphere and was designed with special accommodations for wheelchair accessibility- thanks to Terri. One of our family members uses an electric wheelchair and was able to comfortably access all areas of the interior. All the rooms are extremely spacious, exceptionally clean and the gorgeous handicap roll-in shower was a very pleasant unexpected surprise. Because the cabin was located only a block away from the restaurant, it was so convenient to walk to (or roll if in a wheelchair) to for breakfast and dinner. All the food items we ordered were excellent. The atmosphere was inviting, cozy, service was exceptional, and the server was extremely friendly. I was impressed with the hamburger because it was larger than I expected and very tasty. One morning at breakfast David (Michelle’s brother), who is one of the resorts co-owners stopped by our table to chat with us. He wanted to know if we were enjoying our visit at his resort. David being exceptionally friendly and comical shared some interesting stories about yesteryear with us…needless to say, he was a delight to chat with. Yes, he accommodated a photo session with us. 😊 There is also a wonderful gift shop located within the office which has many fun and keepsake items for purchase. During one of my visits to the office, I was able to meet the other co-owner Michelle (David’s sister) who was also very friendly and inquired about our stay at her resort. Actually, all the staff we encountered were friendly, displayed kindness and eager to be of assistance when needed. There is a special couple that I must commend. They are Mitzi and Jerry who both provided outstanding service. They couldn’t do enough for us. Soon as we got to the cabin, we needed some personal assistance and Jerry showed up immediately with a pleasant smile. His kindness and warm personality made us feel right at home. Needless to say, that his wife Mitzi who manages the horses and stable displays the same kind and warm spirit. She also has a beautiful smile. Both were truly God-sent…willing vessels of the lord above…to assist us during a personal crisis which was not related or anything caused of our visit at the resort. It seems words aren’t enough to express my sincere appreciation. Upon ending my review, I have to stress how the resort, owners and staff surpassed all our expectations. The value is so worth the price of the reservation as we made precious memorable…keepsake memories. I love this place so much and will definitely will be returning soon and we will go horseback riding with Mitzi. God bless this place.

The breakfast dining room was nice and cozy, with a beautiful garden in the back. The location is beautiful and woodsy. The dining room was closed on Sunday night for dinner. I was really disappointed in that. We had to go to a nearby lodge for dinner, which was the only place to eat nearby. The rooms could be nicer ...a bit outdated and not as nice as the exteriors.
ellizabdth (8/5): - Breakfast was very good. However my supper experiences left much to be desired .On check in night after waiting 1:1/2 hrs. without being served our meal we left. At lunch on Saturday i ordered fried chicken wings with french fries take out and received fried sweet potatoes. On our final night's stay my meal was served barely warm. I was offered a reheat but its my experience reheated salmon does not prove to be enjoyable. I declined. Our first and coldest night the room was freezing we cold not adjust the temperature even the piles of bed coverings did not help. That night We accomplish very little sleep!
Benjamin (10/5): Excellent choice! Do it! - We booked this place for a short honeymoon. It was amazing! The staff was was excellent, restaurant had great food and the hot tub/fire place were very relaxing! Plenty of privacy at the cabin. The bed was VERY comfortable! Definitely will be going back! Nothing. It was a great place to stay!

Cassidy (6/5): Underwhelmed - The property is gorgeous and we loved that it was secluded and gave the "middle of nowhere" feel. 90% of the staff we interacted with were lovely and helpful. Room was clean and water pressure was good. They appeared to spread guests out so you didn't feel like the property was packed. We were incredibly underwhelmed based on the cost of the room for one night. There was no communication prior to the stay directing you where to check in (which isn't till 4pm by the way). The restaurant was overpriced for average at best cafeteria food. They had ran out of orange juice and hash browns entirely 30min into breakfast service, and couldnt keep up with stocking the rest of the items. The room we stayed in was extremely outdated, had a super small fridge (our one to go box from the restaurant didnt fit) and TV, no microwave, and almost no amenity access. And while it seems petty... there weren't even tissues in the room, which I'd expect for $200 a night stay. We clearly were in one of their "budget" or family rooms, as all the pictures in listings are way more attractive. It seemed under staffed and under prepared for the weekend. We could have stayed at a chain hotel for cheaper and get a better value.

Lots of bugs in the house, including spiders and wasps in the hot tub when we arrived. Entire cabin looked like it had been given more of a cursory clean than a thorough one.

The rooms are large and accommodating although a bit dated that adds to the ambience. There’s no maid service. At all costs avoid the massage. The two women they are very lovely, but that’s where it stops.
