- Hans-Guenter (8/5): Grundsätzlich sehr gut, aber mit Luft nach oben im Service - Top Lage, frühes Einchecken und Frühstück bei frühmorgendlicher Anreise. Zimmer ganz oben war zwar klein aber gut. Kaffee & Tee kostenlos 24/7 und ein gutes Frühstück. Etwas kleinlich bei der Berechnung des ersten Frühstücks. Obwohl wir an zwei Verlängerungstagen nicht frühstücken konnten, mussten wir das Frühstück am Anreisetag (relativ teuer) bezahlen. Zimmer im Tiefparterre sehr kalt und nur für eine Nacht empfehlenswert - vergleichsweise zu teuer.

El personal del hotel es excepcionalmente atento y servicial. Cuenta con un patio interior agradable y servicios para huéspedes que siempre están limpios y bien equipados. Hay una pequeña cocina con café y té disponibles las 24 horas, incluyendo hojas de coca que ayudan a adaptarse a la altitud. La terraza en la azotea es muy agradable, con vista a toda la ciudad. El desayuno es básico pero muy bueno y cumple perfectamente su función. Las habitaciones son cómodas y agradables. Lo recomiendo mucho.

We heard them because we had the suite in front. There is no sound proofing between floors or rooms. But, you can get a room away from the street and I suggest it.

- Rishi (9/5): Central location, clean, good beds at a reasonable price. - Location is great, near the square. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very service oriented. Beds are very comfortable. We had booked 2 permium rooms. But one of the rooms were standard. The standard one did not have window (only door). As a compensation we were given a suite for the last 2 days. The standard rooms felt a bit "stuffy". But for the price we payed, I think it is a good deal. Overall I would recomend this hotel.
- Nathalia (1/5): A Miserable Experience in Cusco – Do Not Book Here! - The location is the only good thing, but to be honest, there are SO MANY hotels in the same region, that I would consider that a differential. The staff is extremely unhelpful and could not care less about the wellbeing of their guests. My mom (60 years old) was sick and vomiting, and they only let us stay in the room until 11 a.m. (checkout is at 10:30 a.m.) — so thank you very much for the extra 30 minutes (a lot of sarcasm here, in case it’s not clear). Just a quick note on that: the hotel was pretty empty. I even checked availability, and there were PLENTY of rooms. Now for the really awful part — NO HOT WATER! Over the two nights we stayed, only the first person managed to take a hot shower. The second person had to deal with lukewarm water, and the third? No hot water at all. The next morning, after I complained, they said it had been fixed. Spoiler: it wasn’t. The water got slightly warm for maybe 30 seconds, then went cold again. And of course, since the staff couldn’t be any less helpful, nothing else was done. Let’s not forget — this was during WINTER, with temperatures around 3°C outside. Now for the rest of the facilities: the shower door fell off, the flooring in the room was extremely loud, and the room itself was COLD. There was only one very old and inefficient heater. When I complained, I was told there was an extra blanket in the closet. Seriously? Reception is another joke — completely unable to provide even basic information. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT stay here. There are SO MANY hotels in Cusco, you absolutely do not need to put yourself through this.

- Dyan (10/5): Exceptional - The Hotel Midori was perfect for a few nights in Cusco. It’s just off the main square so an easy walk to many points of interest. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast each day was fresh and delicious, with a wide variety of options. The hotel room itself was very comfortable and large, and the refrigerator was a welcome addition so we could keep bottled water on hand. I would absolutely, recommend this hotel to travelers.

- Elizabeth (10/5): Great - As we stayed here several times in the last month, I’m following my previous review. Everything was very good, the staff and the facilities were excellent. Don’t expect 5 stars facility but they had everything we needed even when we ask for a heater in our room there was no problem supplying one. We were also able to leave our suitcases in between trips to Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca. There is tea, hot water and coffee available all day as well as tea & coffee facilities in your room. As it’s an old building I suggest you ask for a second floor room as the floors do creak a little. There’s also adequate breakfast provided as well as you can ask for a breakfast take away if you have an early excursion. The rooms are as per bookings.com photos. Nothing
- Philip (10/5): Excellent stay in a beautiful old property - Great location a short walk (but steep walk back) from Plaza de Armas and the centro historico. The hotel is a beautiful old traditional building, restored but with all its original character, meaning that it’s a delightful place to stay. The staff, especially Luz, were really helpful and gave lots of advice to make our stay even better. The views from our room were superb, all services good, decent breakfast, stable wifi, spacious clean rooms. We were very happy using Midori as our base in the beautiful city of Cusco. Nothing. All really good.

The rooms are almost 3 times bigger with better amenities and it is less than a 3 minute walk from the main square ( if I had known this was so close to the main square , I would have stayed here to start with . Good breakfast . Also very quiet and the best sleep we had the whole trip I told the front desk , because the rooms are so big , having another space heater may help but not a game changer

- Elizabeth (8/5): Excellent - The staff is excellent, the breakfast okay but no hot breakfast provided like eggs ect. The rooms are fine, there are blankets and a heater provided. You can also leave your suitcases there if travelling to Machu Picchu or anywhere else that you don’t need them, as long as you are coming back to this hotel. The hotel is a short walking distance to the Plaza de Armas and lots of restaurants, there is an excellent restaurant next door as well. Nothing really, after travelling through Peru we were used to putting the toilet paper in the rubbish bin rather than in the toilet 🤭

We had an issue with hot water and they tried their best to fix the problem and then they immediately brought a solution to make our stay comfortable. The location of the hotel was very convenient for us as well, close to everything we want to experience. Although the rooms had enough space for us (we were three), we had difficulty to stay warm in the rooms. It was pretty cold outside at night and the electric radiator they provided was not enough for a big room for three. So, it may not be an issue during summer, but other times it may make the stay quite uncomfortable at nights.

It’s an older, local hotel only steps from the main square. The rooms are small and the breakfast is simple, but I would recommend it to those looking for convenience and value Front desk was occasionally unattended, they charge for bottled water, even though tap water isn’t drinkable, and rooms are noisy if facing the street and during early morning hours when guests leave for excursions

- Melanie (9/5): Great Location and Lovely Hotel - The location of the hotel, just 1.5 blocks off the main square was perfect! It was close enough to everything that we could walk, but far enough off the main square that we didn't hear too much of the noise. One of the staff members was not super helpful, but the other (older) gentleman went out of his way for us several times. There were plenty of places to hang out and a lovely seating area on the landing that we could use for our bigger group. As with every single hotel we stayed at in Peru, there was neither air-conditioning OR heat! Each of the the 3 rooms we had had a space heater. However, the room I stayed was a junior suite with very tall cathedral ceilings (lovely) and there was no way that one space heater was going to help. So the room was incredibly cold each night. Our kids' rooms were much smaller and the space heater helped.

Even though check out was at 10, we could relax in the inner courtyard after check out, which was beautiful and peaceful. There were hot water and coca leaves available whenever we wanted. Would have been nice to have more filtered water. It was available in the dining area in a pitcher which was often empty.
- David (10/5): Great stay - Very well lit hallway at night. Quite a few security cameras for our safety. Coffee is great and the breakfast is good. The doors will lock at a certain time at night to ensure customers' safety. The staff here are friendly and can speak good English.

- Saul (10/5): You cannot go wrong staying here. - You cannot go wrong with Midori. It might be up a slight hill from the main square but boy did we welcome being away from the noise and having a nice quiet sleep on a delicious mattress. We arrived at this hotel after escaping an absolutley terrible night at a hotel on Procuradores (right off the main plaza). The location was top notch but we had a disco right out front and boy do the Peruvians like to party until dawn. This was one of the nicest and largest rooms we stayed at in all of our Peru trip. There were three of us for this trip, and to splurge more on food, we stayed at three bedroom rooms for the entirety. An we came back TWICE to stay at both three bedroom rooms; both equally enjoyable. A big plus, when staying three-to-room; there is a confortable bathroom just down the hall. Staff is friendly, breakfast is good (watch out for the coffee which is ridiculously strong), it is just a 2 minute (uphill) walk from the main plaza. Nothing to complain about, everything was absolutely perfect, especially the quiet nights sleep on super comfortable mattresses and warm showers.

- Mari (10/5): Comfortable stay at Hotel Midori - The Hotel's location is very close to the center of Cusco (main district). The neighborhood is very picturesque. The hotel is very beautiful and its staffs were very nice. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with many healthy choices. Only one little thing I had a trouble of was that the hotel's front door was closed after certain time (I came back there around 10:30). Since there was no buzzer, I had to call to the hotel from outside to open the door. I should have known this. This was my mistake, though. Otherwise all were excellent staying at this hotel.
- Yotam (4/5): Pretty lousy option for Cusco - This hotel is more out of the way than it seems as it is on an elevated side-street. No biggie. The main issue was the shower, that was simply terrible. A cold drizzle of water, even after several minutes of waiting. Really not what you need after a day of excursions and activities. Other than that, its just a run of the mill backpacker hostel. Utilitarian and little else.

- Terry (8/5): Convenient location, helpful staff - The lobby and patio area of this hotel are beautiful, and the breakfast was very nice. The room was clean but a bit worn. Carpet could use replacement. Staff was friendly and helpful. We left luggage at the hotel prior to trekking. Despite our not yet having stayed at the hotel, they were friendly about storing it, and when we checked in we found they already had delivered it to our room in anticipation of our arrival.
