- michelle (4/5): - First off, good luck getting a taxi that can actually find this place. The taxi dropped me off and then I spent an hour trying to locate the place on foot. It ended up being a 25 minute walk to the other side of town with all my luggage in tow on a hot and sunny day which was very unpleasant. Once I arrived, check in was easy. The accommodation was very basic which I didn’t mind because I only needed a place to sleep for one night. The shower leaked water all over the sleeping area even though the shower door was closed so I had to use my towel to mop it up. Then when I finally laid down to go to sleep, I woke up to my blankets, floor mattress, and phone charging cord being soaking wet due to the air conditioner apparently dripping water at fast pace.
- Janice (8/5): - This is a traditional style hanok building with sliding paper/wood doors and an open roof atrium in the centre. Our room had low ceilings about 6ft high. The floor cushion/mattress is a 3-4 inch padded mat so it’s not as soft as a western style mattress. The air conditioner worked great even in the 30degree Celsius rainy weather we had. The pillows were Korean style cylinders filled with rice. The breakfast was delicious. We were given 8 side dishes, rice and bean sprout soup, which had an amazing broth. You sit in your room at a low table on the floor for eating which was brought to our door at 7:30am. The room itself locked from the inside but not the outside. It’s located right in the middle of a very cute and walkable neighbourhood filled with cafes, Photo Booth studios, shops and restaurants. You cannot drive up to the door, you need to walk about 50 metres around the corner. Shampoo, conditioner and bar soap was provided. Medium sized towels were provided but no bath towels. Importantly, the washroom was a Korean style no-bathtub situation, with a drain in the floor and a removable shower head. Me and my sister really enjoyed this authentic experience, we are able to sleep on the floor. By the way it’s not sound proof but our neighbours were quiet so we slept well. The shared lobby area had many items stored there like extra cases of food and buckets and watermelons. It is not wheelchair accessible.
- GinNee (10/5): - We stayed as a group of four—two adults and two kids. The room was a bit small but cozy, and overall, it was a very good experience for all of us. The kids really enjoyed sleeping on the futons. It took the adults a little time to get used to them, but it ended up being a very memorable stay. Breakfast was brought to our room, and we enjoyed leaving the door open to eat while taking in the quiet morning atmosphere. The location is great—just a short walk from Anguk Station and still manageable even with luggage. We loved being able to walk around the neighborhood, which is full of shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a wonderful traditional Korean-style accommodation.

- MIKA (8/5): 家庭的な韓屋でした - 安国駅からレトロな街並みを少し歩き細い路地に入ったところにあります。 途中で迷ってスマホを見ていると親切な韓国人のお姉さんが案内してくれました。 玄関の木のドアを開けると写真で見るより狭い感じがしましたが、韓屋にテンション上がりました！ お部屋はスーツケースも広げられたし、良いお部屋でした。 シャワーとトイレは一体で床は濡れますが、想定内だったので問題なし。 韓国旅行時は捨てるタオル持参必須！ 完璧なバストイレを望む方はやめ た方がいいです。 このような環境を楽しむ人向け。 豪に入れば郷に従えで楽しいです。 景福宮まで歩いて行けるし、仁寺洞散策も出来るし、とにかく便利な場所です。 オンドルが入っていて暖かかったですが、寝る時はやや暑く感じたのでエアコンで温度調節しました。 快適です。 朝ごはんは7時半にビビンバが来ました。 美味しかった〜！ ウォーターサーバーも調理場の前にあり。私たちの部屋に冷蔵庫はなし。 チェックアウト後、観光に行く間のスーツケースは預かってくれました。 無口なアジョシ、たまの笑顔が優しかったです。
- Peter (10/5): - Not a traditional hotel by any means, but very traditional South Korean guest house. The Korean breakfast was fantastic. A bit hard to find.
- Andrew J (6/5): Pretty good - Generally a good stay. Great breakfasts, friendly hosts, wonderful location. We'd do it again. Not for everyone though. Our room for 5 was very tight and the AC drained directly on to the bathroom floor. With some tidying up and care, this could really be a first rate stay, esp. given its location. If you don't mind a somewhat barebones experience with a good breakfast, go for it.
- Donnalee (8/5): - This accommodation is traditional Korean lodging style with only a comforter (some has stains) as a bedding which is hard for those not used to hard sleeping surface. The floor is heated though. Air conditioning is available. The space is small for 4 people with luggages. The Korean breakfast is great and served at 8 am. The location is close to many restaurants (even Michelin rated) and walking distance to Gyeongbokdung palace and train stations.

- Marion (4/5): - J'avais payé une chambre pour 5 et j'ai eu 2 chambres avec 4 futons pour 5 personnes. L'épaisseur de la literie nous donne l'impression d'avoir dormi à même le sol.
- Tinh (6/5): - Interesting way to live in past history in this hundred year old home. The owner speaks rudimentary English. Not super friendly people. The morning ethnic food is tasty but no changes to accommodate with allergies or food preferences. The place could be much better if they clean up and organize the centre courtyard to be nicer. Sleeping on floor with a thin mattress was ok but not super comfortable. Very near centre of Bukchon Hanbok village. Very walkable area. Lots of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby.
- 경란 (8/5): - 여자6명이 자는데 큰 문제는 없었다. 집 자체는 옛날 한옥집이여서 추억 돋는 장소이나 시설은 좀 낡아서 (특히 화장실) 조금 불편했으나 주인 아저씨의 친절함은 아주 좋았다. 집 찾아 가는 길도 길거리 공연도 있고 예뻐서 걷는게 힘들지 않았다. 무엇보다 좋았던건아침 조식!! 기대를 안하고 받아본 밥상이라서 그런지 간만에 잘 차려진 밥상에 감동~ 너무 좋았다.

- Shelley (10/5): Amazing experience - This is an absolutely amazing place. It it tucked away in the middle of the Hanok village area and is within walking distance of the Changdeok Palace and Insadong. It was a perfect place for all of our activities. The hospitality of the staff is beyond amazing. From carrying your bags in, to accommodating arrival times While the site mentions their breakfast, it does not being to describe the experience. At around 8am you slide open the doors to your area and are presented loaded trays of freshly made traditional Korean foods to start your day. The soups and food are prepared in the courtyard. Our 2nd morning was chilly and the amazing gukbap soup was far better than a cup of coffee to get us started. There is also filtered water in the courtyard and the location is right beside 2 restaurants with multiple others and continence stores minutes away. On the comfort level, this is a Hanock, which means there are not beds. There are traditional sleeping mats and blankets. We were in the deluxe and a bit surprised of the actual size (about 6ft by 12ft in the main area. This may be an adjustment for some western travelers. We did have some struggles with luggage and getting settled in at night with 4 people and some large bags. We will get the larger room on our next visit. Temperature wise, we were very comfortable even though it was fairly cold. The bathroom also had a heated floor and was larger than other Korean hotels I've stayed in. Loved our visit!
- Sun-young (6/5): 가족과 함께 가기 좋은 곳 - 방안에 냉장고가 있어서 깜짝 놀랬어요. 저녁 먹으러 외출했다가 방에 들어왔는데 음식냄새가 나더라구요ㅠ.ㅠ 잘 때 누웠는데 반찬냄새가 솔솔 났답니다. 그것 빼고는 조식을 방으로 갖다 주시고 아이들이 편하게 있을 수 있어서 좋았습니다. 욕실도 따뜻해서 좋았습니다.

- Patrick (6/5): Super quartier mais gare au confort ! - Guesthouse très photogénique mais tellement typique pour le folklore touristique ( confort sommaire , chambre et salle de bain exiguës) qu'une seule nuit ( au lieu de 4) nous aurait été suffisante pour apprécier le pittoresque de l'endroit. Par contre,quartier idéal avec accès à pied à tous les sites touristiques environnants , nombreux restaurants et boutiques.
- Guillaume (10/5): Un logement charmant, au coeur du Séoul historique - Le logement, de type traditionnel, est très confortable et très pratique. Sophia Guesthouse est un endroit charmant, situé dans un quartier idéalement situé dans Séoul, entre Gyongbokgung, Changdeokgung et Insadong. Beaucoup de centres d'intérêt peuvent être rejoints à pieds et pour le reste la station de métro Anguk est très proche. Dans les environs immédiats, on trouve des restaurants, des cafés (il y a un glacier adorable juste au coin de l'impasse où se trouve le logement) et un musée d'art moderne et contemporains tout neuf ! Le petit déjeuner est copieux et délicieux, idéal pour attaquer une journée de découverte de Séoul. Nous recommandons chalheureusement !
- Anmena (10/5): - Location is perfect! Outside the guesthouse, there are cafe and Bar. Turn around to be the shopping street. Only 8 mins walk you can arrival Insadong and Samcheongdong. If you want to go shopping or enjoy Tea House or Tradition Korea food, this place is very convince. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. We love the room and it was very clean. The Breakfast was very yummy. I took my family there two days ago, we have super great time there. If we come to Seoul again, for sure we will stay here.
- Holly (10/5): Loved it! - My stay was really nice! I was sent a confirmation text right after booking with directions from the subway station to the guesthouse and it was pretty easy to find. The area it's surrounded by is really nice and right next to a bunch of museums and palaces! It's also surrounded by tons of shops, cafes, and restaurants. I chose to travel around, but I could have easily stayed in that area with zero problems. The staff were incredibly friendly and knew a bit of English. The single room is smaller than it appears in the pictures, but it was still really nice, clean, and has plenty of room for me and my things. You also get a private bathroom. It's small, but average for most Korean style bathrooms and had everything I needed. There's an AC unit inside the room, too, and the floor is heated, so I was super comfortable. If I had to guess the size laying down, I would say it's about roughly 185-190 cm, so, if you're taller than that, it might be a bit of a squeeze. Breakfast was served in the morning (homemade bibimbap) and was really lovely. The garden area is just as pictured. I would absolutely book again!
- Joseph (10/5): Warmest welcomes and perfect location - If traveling to Korea, experience a traditional guest house. Sophia Guest House was amazing, the owners living right there attentive to every need. Walk out the door to microbreweries, restaurants, locals, tourists, the palace, everything! The kids are still asking to return, to sleep on the heated floors, and enjoy the attention of the family.

- KazKomatz (8/5): 立地も含めて、風情のあるゲストハウス - チムジルバンで夜を越す予定でしたが、急きょ当日に予約しました。初のゲストハウスでしたが、若者ばかりではなくて、世界各国から来られていました。トイレ横のシングルルームに１泊しました。ホテルでは味わえない体験が出来て、とても良かったです。
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable stay at this guesthouse - It was a novelty experince living in a traditional Korean house in the centre of the city. One night seems sufficient for the experience. It was comfortable and sufficient. One thing could be improved is the breakfast- it was good, but I wouldn't have preferred a Korean breakfast instead of Western. Also, there are a lot of mosquitoes at night so a repellent would be advisable.

- Norul H (10/5): Great hanok stay. - Wonderful stay at a great neigbourhood. You don't have to walk far to experience local culture and food. My room was small but nice, warm and beautiful hanok.
- Hiroshi (8/5): 很有味道的韓屋老宅 - 還算不錯的韓屋體驗，只是水壓弱了一點，在冬天會比較小難受，當然要舒適可以選擇更高檔的飯店或民宿，Sophia以這個價格來說，已經很不錯了！
- Verified traveler (6/5): charming in a great area - charming Guesthouse in a great area!! Had to shower standing next to the toilet without a curtain making everything very wet, also the Internet connection did not reach our room. However, it was still a nice experience to stay here, next door there is a wonderful craft beer pub with really nice staff, Kiwa taproom. Soup, toast and fruit is prepared for breakfast, was hoping for a more Korean breakfast, but the lady preparing it was very kind and sweet to us.
