Guest Reviews
- Justin (10/5): - Good property close by to everything in El Nido
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Had to wait 4 hours to check-in, receptionist seemed to not want to assist in any capacity. Room was good, service was just not great.
- Palmer Jam K Park (6/5): Be adventurous! - They gave us a choice of room with loft which was claustrophobic but the 2 bed option much nicer. AC was good and it was generally comfortable. Bathroom a little old but adequate. Overall I would stay here again but not my wife lol.
- Orlando (6/5): - Close to the beach
- Wayne (10/5): - Clean, quiet and peaceful…not on the beach but the beach is behind the buildings across the street from this hotel.
- Akinyola (2/5): - The front desk person wouldn’t check us in because the room was for five people and they wanted to put 3 more people in our room which was not what I originally booked. Also, the power went out in the middle of the night making our room very hot. I would definitely like a refund!
- Lee (2/5): Hostel quality at hotel prices - Old, tired rooms. No soundproofing. No blackout curtains. Very basic room despite being called “deluxe”. Reception service was ok until I needed a room clean and then had to challenge the hotel to provide a clean. Would not stay again and would not recommend.
- Santiago (8/5): - Convenient location next to dock for taking tours. Breakfast is served under surcharge and there are not multiple options to be chosen. Overall good experience.
- francesco (2/5): - broken air-condition all rooms
- Euben (2/5): I suggest find another place. - The front lobby, no air-conditioning at all. In most times I passed in or out, no person at the counter most of the times. By the way, no security. Mismanaged hotel.
- ioannis (8/5): village center good for 1-2 nights - we stayed there for 3 nights ... for Philippines standarts the hotel mis ok.....
in the center of the village . Near the beach and all the shops and restaurants.
we had a room on the back side so wasn't so noisy. The rooms are very small and in a bad condition.
not any chairs or a little table at the balcony. The bathroom very dirty and the last day we had a nice cockroach in the room. The money i think is to much what for what they offer.
Internet connection nothing
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room is as basic as you can get. We got a hard bed but we managed. The bathroom smelled like rotten eggs and the entire bathroom was soaked. The shower floor is not level so stagnant smelly water remains there. I gagged everytime I went in there. The AC wouldn’t stay on. Without it you are in a hot box. The last night I hard to turn on the AC every 20 min so I barely slept. Then at 6am the hotel cuts the power. So now I’m sweating in a rotten egg smelling hot box. I went downstairs to the front desk asking if my power can be turned on since the whole hotel had power. A young man followed me up to my room and gingled some things around on the wall only to tell me since I am checking out anyway that there is no point to restart the power in my room. I left immediately and I will never come back to this disappointing hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Worse hotel that I had stayed in!!!
- Roman (4/5): - Hotel is in a good location, but that’s it. Room was in a quite bad condition, especialy a bathroom. Spider webs hanging from a ceiling, taps were rusty and water smelled really bad. No way worth the price.
- Eric (6/5): - AC was noisy and not very cold, but otherwise a decent hotel
- Raphael (4/5): I would never stay at this hotel again. - The only great great thing about it is the place where it's located. The AC was old and loud as hell, the view from the window was not good. The cleaning was minimum. The sheets had holes and stains in it. There's no internet in the rooms, it barely works on the front desk. We had to change rooms, the old one had no power (even with the generator on). The front desk was no helpful at all, it looked like they're doing a favor to the guest. The shower isn't really fixed, keeps moving as the amount of water out changes.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible for the Price - I understand that in El Nido you can’t expect a luxury hotel. But for the price I paid I would have expected a working sink, shower water that didn’t smell noxious and an AC that didn’t shut off randomly. This place would be fine at a big discount to student backpackers, but anything above $30/night is a rip off.
- Arnold (2/5): THEIF, SMELLY TOILET, OVERALL VERY BAD HOTEL - 1st day of our family tour waited 2 hours. Receptionist told us to get prepared by 8:30 and by 9am the tour starts. Started the tour @10am. 2nd tour same. Waited again for another 1and half hour. The hotel doesn’t have any aircon in the lobby. We also have kids with us. 1 yr old 4 yrs old 5 yrs old 6 yrs old. We also lost ipad in that hotel. House keeper says didn’t find anything ‘What a Theif’ dont ever turn that wifi ‘on’ once i found that to my find my iPhone i will sue this hotel.
- Larry (8/5): Central location to downtown El Nido. - A fine hotel by Phillipine standards. You can’t come to a small island like this and expect to compare to American hotels. Location was great and hotel was clean with good A/C and a fine shower. Back up generator provided power during brown out. I would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): ok hotel - Ok la sistemazione. Servizio totalmente inesistente.
- Ricardo (2/5): Worst hotel - The worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. The staff was not very helpful. Woke up on our last morning of stay and our our room was flooded. Called the front desk and they were not very helpful.
- stephen (8/5): Much better than most on the strip - We stayed at 3 different hotels on this strip in el nido and id say this was the nicest. El Nido is pretty basic accommodations so finding a comfy room with a good a/c and decent bathroom is a nice find. It’s literally right in the middle of the main strip so access to everywhere is easy. Our room was quiet. good stay good location.
- Cris (4/5): Position is the only thing - Position is very central... even if El Nido is not big.
General condition of the hotel are just ok, rooms are clean, but small and with no facilities at all. Wi-fi is just in reception area, but it doesn't work most of the times.
Considering all the above, price for this structure is really expensive.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location! - Great location! Walkable distance near all the restaurants & local shops. Busy street very alive during the day and night. Bathroom needs a fix up but overall good place.
- Roman (4/5): Not worth the money - Good location, externally looks good but internally the room we stayed in was a terribe experience. The room was dark, tiny with no sunlight, a bad odor, an AC which was installed at ground level pointing directly at the head of the bed, and a large cockroach inside waiting for us. To top it off you have to pay additional for breakfast. 100% not worth the money as you can find a place which would be larger and provide breakfast.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Overpriced - Decent hotel but way Overpriced for the area! Walked around and found a nicer place for half the price with an ocean view!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok Hotel - The location is great, just off the main street. However if in El Nido, i would recommend not to stay in town but rather in Corong Corong (5 minutes by tricycle) or at northern outskirt of town. it's much quiter and nicer than staying in the noisy and crowded city center
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location, nice hotel for the price - Just going to start off with a disclaimer that if you're visiting a third world country, don't expect too much especially in a city where they just started using electricity & run on generators. If you're from a first world country and expect first world quality and amenities, expect to pay a first world price.
Rovic's Tourist Hotel was a great hotel since it was close to everything. Literally was just there to sleep and shower during my whole stay in El Nido. Great price, they had hot water & the AC was working. And that's all I could really ask for lol.
They tell you to leave your key at the front desk before leaving the hotel for the day but I only have done it once out of the 3 nights we stayed & they lost it, so just keep your room key.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very centrally located. The rooms are very plain, just expect a place to sleep, not much more. Price is kinda expensive for what you get, but thats in general for hole El Nido Hotels.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - good location. the cleaning standard is very poor no mattress and pillow protector (moldy pillow)
- Jen (4/5): Overpriced clean hotel that's very central - Front desk people were rude and didn't care about your stay at all. Took 30 mins to check in because they didn't have my reservation. Then charged us an extra 300 pesos each for bedding. No wifi. Don't stay here if you think you're staying at a nice normal hotel. You can find other comparable rooms in El Nido for half the price.
- Joe (2/5): Way overpriced for what it is. - Bed is like tile floor. No elevator so depending on what floor you get, stairs every day.
- Kris (8/5): Great hotel and location - Was a great hotel. Would recommend anyone to stay here. The tour companies that the hotel referred were great because they were smaller groups so wasn't as intense as other tour groups. In a good central location to everything in El Nido
- Asak (2/5): Rovic's Disgusting Dungeon
- If you like a non air conditioned lobby where the employees work 7 days a week for 9 hour shifts, feces in the toilet and bodily fluid stains all over the bed sheets when you arrive, this place is for you.
I've added a photo from the balcony. You can see the garbage that gets thrown over the ledge, which is actually attached to your room and electric wires, which are seriously probably live.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Tacky hotel - The hotel is located in the heart of town across the street from the main beach to go on island hopping tours. There are no elevators in this 4 story hotel; therefore, had to climb up and down 4 long flight of stairs every time between the main lobby and hotel room. There is no real ocean view, which is blocked by beachfront buildings across the street. The hotel is not clean; there was a dead medium sized cockroach on the staircase that was not cleaned. Also, hotel room was not cleaned initially; and after requesting that it be cleaned, the housekeeper still did not make up the bed, and emptied only one of two wastebaskets. The shower water is lukewarm, and there was temporary electricity outage on two occasions. The room's air conditioning worked very well. The hotel offers island hopping tours, which is convenient.
- Michael (6/5): Good Location during the day, Not Ideal at Night - Staff were very laid back and slow.
Don't expect to get any sleep as this hotel is located very close to all the shops and stalls. Throughout 11pm - 6am it was like a party was going on throughout the whole night constantly being woken to loud conversations and music
- Verified traveler (4/5): Overpriced - This hotel is overpriced because of the location. Sheets weren't clean but the rest was ok, just ok.
- Diane (6/5): If you're on a budget and want somewhere decent - It was ok. Wifi doesn't work and the girl at the front desk doesn't care just says "sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't" .. U pay for what you get... Service is pretty bad with an attitude but hey you're in the Philippines... Good for budget backpackers..
- Dr. Hala (6/5): - Good place to sleep. Less than 2 min of walking from the beach. Don't expect more.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The best thing were the comfortable beds and AC. I booked a tour through the receptionist at the front desk. He charged an extra 200P for snorkel gear that's included in all of the trips. We switched hotels after 1 night and went to the Ipil Suites. It's was a nice stay there considering there aren't any resort style hotels in El Nido.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok for a clean room. - Wifi didn't work once. Desk staff were pretty useless.
- Heikki (8/5): Nice but overpriced - It's a nice hotel on El Nido scale, but somewhat overpriced for not being a beachfront place. There's other equally comfortable hotels at half the price.
- avi (6/5): I was very disappointed - Small rooms but clean. No minibar in the room. They do not give towels for the beach. Staff were very nice. The hotel is in a great location. But no way justifies the price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): I dont recommend this one - There was a school behind, kids started shouting at 6am. The loft we got was dirty, full of mosquitos in the bathroom and cockroches were running around. Rooms are overpriced and standard low.
- Apollo (10/5): My stay in Rovic's - Excellent Hotel, courteous and accommodating. Clean spacious rooms, great food specially during dinner.
- ari (8/5): very nice, no wifi in room. no american express - very nice, no wifi in room. no american express, we were told that we could pay with American express, in the end we were not able to. also the is 6 percent charge for credit card that is not told at the beginning. the rooms were good though.
