Guest Reviews
- Louise (4/5): - Good location and cheap. Bad smell in the room. Not so clean and bad bathroom. Nothing to hang towels and clothes on.
- Paolo (10/5): -
- Jonas (8/5): - Great place and very friendly staff The water in the shower is not really hot, but it's a minor issue to be honest
- Morgan (8/5): -
- Cassie (7/5): Great budget option - Great friendly staff, affordable and good location on walking street, a couple minutes from Pattaya beach. Big rooms, nice big balcony and a fridge to keep your drinks cool! Accommodating staff and turn down services daily Our room was next to the dive centre so lots of tanks being filled and banging from early morning, just incase you might like a lay in. We don't mind being up early but it's nice to have an option for the odd lay in. For the price though you can't really expect everything to be perfect, they at offer a good service for what you pay. Also being on an island without waste management infrastructure means the sinks can give up some nasty smells, but it's something we've experienced in these small islands.
Make sure you don't flush toilet roll down the toilet and be as eco conscious as you can to help preserve these beautiful places.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Nice accommodation for the money, spacious and comfortable, balcony nice to sit out on. Location is great and on the main street with super quick access to resteraunts and bars. I enjoyed my stay here.
- Aznee (7/5): Good - Nice and clean Too strict check out time at 11am.
- Jete (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): Superb - Located right on walking street in the heart of everything.
Easy walking distance to both sunrise beach and a bit further to sunset beach.
Peaceful at night which was surprising due to its central location.
The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with our air conditioning and they resolved it straight away. Building work next door, but that was no fault of the hotel.
- Phuc (8/5): A good stay in the heart of the island - Located right at the walking street, and only about 5 minutes walking to Pattaya Beach. The rooom is not quite new, but it's spacious & comfortable. It may be a little noisy at night because of some restaurants & bars on the walking street, but it's a covenieent stay.
- Tulasi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariam (8/5): Very good -
- Lindsey (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice rooms ,within walking distance from the boat jetty. Comfortable beds and nice outside space . Staff were really helpful and friendly.Good value for the money . Easy to get everywhere on the island . It can be a bit noisy from the nearby bar but we embraced it and listened to the music from the balcony.
- Mano (8/5): Very good -
- Apolline (6/5): Pleasant - Good location, on the walking street Noisy, could be cleaner
- Fomaz (5/5): Way too overpriced for what you get. - People working there were friendly. Very loud area since its in the middle of the Walking Street. Its very expensive for what you get.
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Chin (8/5): Very good - The location is good, just in the walking street and walking distance to beaches The aircon is not cold enough while the weather is quite hot. We asked the staff to fix the problem but the aircon is just not cold enough
- Zilla (8/5): Very good - The staff were very attentive and helpful.we had a balcony and the room was big.it was close to everything The shower area wets the area in front of the sink and the tile can be slippery when wet.the music from the Rainforest bar was fairly audible at night, they shut off the music about midnight
- Shane (8/5): Nice little hotel on waling Street - Hotel is situated on walking street so can be a little noisy at night . Unfortunately someone had a uploaded picture of a swimming pool when I made the booking but this hotel does not have a pool. Clean hotels with basic facilities but perfect for our needs
- Magdalena (7/5): overall it was a nice stay - the location is amazing and the staff ist very nice the bathroom didn’t seem very clean and the air condition worked but we couldn’t really figure out if the temperature changed after turning it up and the wifi didn’t work how we liked
- Piotr (8/5): Very good -
- Lina (10/5): Perfect location - The place of the hotel is right near main street, which was nice for us. Easy to reach from the pier. Nice, that you have your own porch / balcony. Payment in cash only :(
- Lois (3/5): Not worth the money - The lady behind the reception was kind. The location is central - door broken, lots of open spaces so many mosquito’s inside
- things are old, broken or missing
- bed is hard (common in thailand though)
- airconditioning is not getting very cold
- very overpriced
- Eduardo (7/5): Good -
- Ester (7/5): Good -
- Isaac (7/5): Convenient if you go to sleet late - Location is good and facilities are nice It’s located next to a couple of bar that runs until very late at night and it’s noisy
- Nur (9/5): Superb -
- Louise (7/5): Good - Nice staff, clean room. Well organised cleaning situation. Provided coffee, toilet paper, bottled water everyday. Well located on walking street. Rock hard bed but many Thai beds are like this so I guess this is to be expected.
- Matyas (6/5): Was okay, but would go for a lower tier seaside bungalow next time - The place js right next to the main walking street, so restaurants and a 7eleven are nearby. The bathroom was not in great condition.
- Mark (6/5): Great stay, just bring something to cancel the noise when sleeping - Property is in a great location for getting to multiple beaches, restaurants and bars. Staff were friendly and we had no issues with the room Main issue is lack of soundproofing. Due to factors outside of the hotels control, sleep was limited. Booking music until about 1-2am every night from a bar opposite and then construction work nearby starting at around 8am
- Nurul (9/5): Superb -
- Mohammed (8/5): A lovely hotel with some of the most sincere and kind members of staff. - The accommodation for this hotel is set a little behind the busy street which is perfect; There is a large balcony, the room is a decent size and the bathroom is quite big. For island accommodation it was good. It is very close to tall the bars, restaurants and cafes and most of all the staff are incredibly kind and sincere. June our host was lovely. There is a bar right outside the hotel which plays very loud music till the early hours. It is extremely loud and makes everything in the hotel room vibrate. My friend was recovering from influenza and therefore we were hoping for a chilled out island vibe, it wouldn't have bothered us if we were both well and in the party mood.
- Shang (9/5): Perfect location - convenient yet not noisy - Location - it was very convenient, just next to the dive centre that I signed up my dive packages with and located right on the liveliest street in Koh Lipe
- Zoe (8/5): This is our second stay and we love it. Close to everything and great rooms with large balcony. - perfect location, friendly staff and large rooms some construction noise
- Jace (10/5): Happy with the stay! - Perfect room. Clean and spacious. Location is very convenient. Nothing!
- Manfred (7/5): Too mutch noise - The Hotel is right in the walking street. Owner and staff are very friendly and nice. Our room was big and spacious, bed quite comfortable. Furniture seemed to be quite used and old.
Window and door is not keeping any noise outside. Price far to high for this Hotel, although this is a general Problem in Koh Lipe There‘s a big building site right outside the Hotel, right next to the rooms. Early in the morning, they start with work and noise which was more than annoying. The owners words are only, sorry but it is not our fault.. i think they have to mention this on the booking site, than if we‘ve had known it, we wouldn‘t had booked it for sure!
- Kevin (7/5): Good location, average stay - Nice location, in the center of the island. Easy check in. NO breakfast, don't get the room cleaned unless you tell them, really noisy at night because there is a super loud pub just in front until 2am. Room is good, except for the toilet.
- Ajmal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (4/5): Disappointing - Friendly stuff, nice room The hotel has a very cozy room and friendly staff. Unfortunately, it is very inconveniently located in the center, but in the middle of the party street. The music plays loudly in the front until 2am. From 6am onwards, quiet construction work (erecting scaffolding, mixing cement) starts in the adjacent building. From 8 o'clock in the morning, loud building work is allowed and we were woken up by the circular saw. We were woken up by the circular saw. Our room was also right next to the building site. The staff said they were probably woken up by the loud suitcases and the early divers. And said that there was nothing they could do about the construction work. If you can't sleep with oropax, you should avoid the hotel for the next few weeks.
- Andrei (1/5): Dirty -
- Cengizyildirim (8/5): Very good -
- English (8/5): Very good - The staff were so lovely. The location was right in the centre of walking street and so close to beach! Rooms were nice and cleaned everyday. Hotel had some lovely little cat visitors with sea shell collars. The wifi wasn’t strong enough to stream shows/movies
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bilal (1/5): I am extremely disappointed with the service from Booking.com, as I contacted your support after my first night to repor - The staff was very nice The AC
- Bruno (9/5): Superb -
- Edris (2/5): Very poor -
- Kristin (9/5): Great location for a short stay at Ko Lipe - Great location at main walking road, clean big rooms, small balconies Very loud music at night
- Alexander (8/5): Very good - Basic but has all you need, a peaceful ambiance and the staff happy to assist with requests. No breakfast provided, but since the hotel is on Walking St there are many choices close by. There's a building site next door, costs are reflective of a tourist island, plenty of mosquitos, and hard to find coffee very early, the boat ride out was very bumpy and made many passengers sea sick, the floating pontoon pier was a challenge, and wet season water was a bit murky.... none of which are the hotel's doing, but things to keep in mind.
- Megan (6/5): Convient location on walking street - -Great location
-Beach towels to rent until 7pm 50 baht for the day -The room was damp giving off an awful smell
-Ac errors out after 20 mins, have to remove room key and reinsert to get it back on! Gets extremely hot overnight
- Kelly (5/5): Good location but very basic room - Good location, good WiFi and clean Facilities, hotel was having noisy work done, the bathroom leaked and very old fashion
- Ethan (3/5): Read before staying - Reception staff were very nice, location was good We got 4000THB stolen from our room and got no accountability or reimbursement from Leelawadee resort.
Our shower heater wasn’t working so we told reception, they then told us that someone was coming to fix it the next day. Whilst we were at an island tour the shower had been fixed, only when we checked our cash (left in a wallet in one of our zipped up bags) there was 4000 missing. We told reception as soon as we realised, their response was to call Koh Lipe Police Station. We understand that it is not reception’s fault for the missing cash and maybe we should have left the cash in the safe, regardless the robbery occurred on their resort and accountability should be taken!
Other things to note about Leelawadee - the Wi-Fi is non existent. There is a scuba diving shop next door which loudly empties oxygen cannisters throughout the night. When it rains the roofing makes it so the rain lands directly outside your door and is so loud it may as well be raining in the room. The air con is so weak it takes hours to cool the room down. The walls are dated with mould and bugs in the corners, not to mention the faulty shower heater.
Granted, they did apologise for the stolen money and we are almost sure it was whoever came to fix our shower that searched our room and stole from us. Unfortunately apologies don’t give us our money back.
- Kishok (8/5): Very good -
- Mohamed (7/5): Good - increase water pressure in toilet toilet water pressure
- Georgia (6/5): Decent sized room - - location is good
- decent sized room and balcony - horrendous boat journey in
- weather
- no one else there so not much of an atmosphere
- pricey
- Joyce (8/5): Chill in Koh Lipe - Location is very convenient to many eateries and 7eleven The hotel will be better with some refurbishment on the bathroom facilities.
- Nurliyana (9/5): Nice stay - Location Weather
- Amirul (8/5): Definitely going back to Leelawady - Pleasant. Not too crowded because it’s a small resort Our television didn’t work during our stay but doesn’t bother much as we mostly being outside
- Hanizan (8/5): Very good -
- Nil.c (3/5): Poor - The room, the beds were comfortable and good shower but the AC is very old and not refresh too much First they was doing construction in next building or next building and they give us a room next to that building and they didn t told us before about the construction if not i would not book. We ask for change the room but they just offer for the last day because they say the rooms with 2 single beds are full and we ask if we can take 2 double beed rooms with some discount but they didn t want.
The staff was not friendly and helpul in any ocasion, their english not so good and many times there wasn t anyone at the recpetion.
- Alvaro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sek (10/5): Convenient … right at walking street … everything is there … - Well kept and clean None at all … all good
- Yi (8/5): Very good -
- Aziah (10/5): Best place to visit❤️❤️❤️ - Best spot to other places. Closed to food, massage😁.
Enjoyed very much the food there. Yummy❤️
Leelawadee very accessable. The receptionist May very attentive and her team too. Thank you May, we will be back. None
- Úna (8/5): Very good - The location was good. It was up along the main walk way/street. The bathroom could use a little upgrade.
- Liyana (8/5): Very good -
- Natasza (7/5): Good - Good location, friendly staff Rooms need some renovation. Especially the bathrooms are pretty rundown.
- Wan (10/5): PERFECT LOCATION - Situated at walking street.Easy access to shop lots , cafe , bar even walking distance to beach.I love how quiet the environment despite near to the bar. I also love the size of the room, huge room & very clean with affordable price. Definitely will come again & repeat to stay here. Nothing
- Harley (8/5): Very good - Great location and a good sized room Nothing really
- Andreas (9/5): Superb -
- Koushik (6/5): Pleasant -
- Andreas (9/5): Superb -
- Hal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kayvan (7/5): Good -
- Aylin (1/5): Bad - The bed was not hard Everybody is smoking weed on the balcony and there is no air because it's no wind on the balcony and so complete area is smelling. The bathroom has a smell that you can't describe, everyday we had to take a mask because the smell is so extremely bad. The water stinks also like... Don't even think about it to wash your face with it. The AC was really loud and not really cool. The bar on the opposite plays extremely loud bass music so don't think about it to get enough sleep. And there are 2 very annoying cats they screamed 24/7 (I think they don't sleep). The staff can't speak English and this all for this massive price? No thanks
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional - Really good for price & near everything perfect place for Koh lipe if on a budget only problem is sometimes of you stay in the house underneath the people above you can hear them walking around & banging all night above you
- Rochelle (6/5): Bad service - Location (but the island is so small, everywhere is good localizeted). The staff don't speak English well and have no autonomy, they all have to send a message to the boss, which makes the service quite difficult.
The wi-fi doesn’t work.
I don't recommend this hotel, there are others that are well located and at a better price (the island is very small, so anywhere it will be well located).
Hard and saggy mattresses from so much use. The bed linen seemed not to be clean, especially the duvets. Bathroom didn't have a curtain and it got wet all over. The air cond was not working.
Everything in general needs maintenance.
Lots of noise at night coming from the bar at the front which plays loud music.
We changed the reservation to arrive a day earlier and leave a day earlier, and then they charged us for ALL nights the price of the rate on the day of payment, even though the reservation had been made 3 months in advance.
We realized that the daily rate for those who book direct is 1800 Bath and through Booking it is more expensive at 2,300 Bath
- Andreas (9/5): Great stay! We exceeded our stay there for 3 more nights - Close to the walking street, not far from the beach, very nice place, good value for money Nothing
- Wolfgang (7/5): Very much enjoyed the stay - Location was fantastic and staff very friendly and helpful Loud cats at night and mosquitos on the balcony
- Hew (9/5): Superb -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good -
- Rei (9/5): Superb - Great and friendly staff Wifi was weak and got cut off many times
- Yew (9/5): Superb -
- Janet (4/5): Not for us - Location No privacy people walking past and other rooms could see in , needs net curtains, faulty door lock, bathroom badly needs updating.bedding was ripped and threadbare .If you wanted your room cleaned you had to ask should be done automatically every day .
- Ai (7/5): Good -
- Robert (8/5): A good stay on Lipe Walking Street - The property is right on the walking street, but in spite of this, the rooms are pretty quiet. The facilities are slightly more spartan than I was expecting.
- Anna (6/5): Pleasant - Great location. Nice set up. Friendly staff. Had an awful smell coming from the bathroom. They did offer to change rooms however were just going to put new guests in there. Price paid for this ‘resort’ was not worth the money.
Also, they do not let you check in even 10 minutes early, saying the floor was not dry yet (we checked and it was!)
- Nils (8/5): Good value for money in central walking street - + central location in walking street Koh Lipe
+ cleanliness
+ room service every day
+ helpful service employees - very bad wifi quality
- 3% fee if payment is made with credit card
- Samantha (8/5): Great value for money - Amazing location, still very quiet Shower pressure wasn’t great
- Syazwani (7/5): So so - The location is near to walking st If you consider a place that is clean, this place is so-so. We had trouble swirching on the TV, asked for someone to come but no one turned up. Air cond was hard to adjust, sometimes too cold and too hot. Price was expensive not worth it to pay for the facilities they provided.
- Ain (10/5): Really enjoy my trip to Koh Lipe 🇹🇭 - Walking street area, from the jetty is about 200metre. The staff friendly, the room is big enough. They clean room everyday if requested & mineral water provided everyday Nothing 🤍
- Draper (7/5): Very busy in Koh Lipe and accommodation is very crammed in small area - Very central Not very private- had to keep curtains drawn
- Hongcheng (2/5): not a enjoyable experience - Terrible The equipment is old and not convince for use
- Hilary (6/5): Pleasant - Its location is fabulous The air conditioning was loud and rattling and I couldn’t turn it off.
- Ruud (2/5): If there was an another room free on the island that I would book that but that was not possible. This was to dirty. - - the location was okay but on the other side of the street was a bar and there they played music very loud until late in the night. - staff was not friendly
- this was the dirtiest room I have been in Thailand
- Clare (6/5): Pleasant - The location is great. Staff were nice and it was clean. I thought it was overpriced for the accommodation quality. The room felt very damp and the bathroom was quite mouldy.
- Estefania (8/5): Wonderful stay in Lipe - The location is excellent, very close to everything and the most important 3 min walking away from the pier, so amazing when u arrive. Also the staff were nice and polite. Nothing
- Laurent (4/5): Not value for money - - the staff was very nice and very friendly
- the bed was comfortable - bad smell in the room when we checked-in. It was slightly better the second day (or we got used to it?).
- you can hear the music from Walking street, (but we were expecting this, the staff had already warn us). If you come back late at night, you’ll be fine. If you want to go to sleep early, prepare your ear plugs.
- internet was very week, I had to work and could barely download a small document. Wifi was also too weak for WhatsApp calls.
- equipment is too basic. No power outlets enough. For instance, there is a kettle, but nowhere to plug it. There were 2 power outlets on one side of the bed (nothing on the other side) but even when placing the kettle on the night table, the cord was not long enough to reach the socket. So, where are you supposed to plug the kettle?
- The bathroom needs to be renovated, the shower is half blocked, there are no hook nor hanger to hang your towel, the shower holder is broken.
Sorry for this bad review, if the price was €15, I could not complain, but we paid €52/night. For this price, the very poor quality is unacceptable. We often travel through Thailand and this place is just one of the worst value for money we got. I’m happy we only staid 2 nights here and was happy to leave.
