Right in the heart of Palermo within walking distance to all the historic sites and a wide variety of dining. Their dining recommendations were excellent and directions for sightseeing spot on (even which buses to take). The breakfast staff were just wonderful! They surprised my wife on her birthday with a small cake and candle. What thoughtfulness!

• Joseph (9/5): I think this hotel is a good value and it’s a great location - The room was very clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. It is centrally located to the sites and restaurants in Palermo. The staff was very attentive and friendly The room is VERY small but the design made good use of space.

• Romani (8/5): Ottima struttura non proprio conveniente - Staff estremamente preparato gentile e disponibile, posizione centrale con qualche problema di parcheggio (costo), pulizia dei locali ottima, Colazione quasi ottima purtroppo la scelta di dotarsi solo di una macchina per bevande calde espresse non permette la produzione di un caffè/cappuccino al quale sono abituato La presenza di acqua in frigo liberamente disponibile Ingresso generale della location Mancanza di succhi espressi a colazione (siamo in Sicilia e no spremuta) Non ho chiesto, ma non so se preparano eggs&bacon visto che nel tavolo del buffet non erano presenti La vista dalla mia camera La non eccellenza nella valutazione comfort è generata dalla questione parcheggio Il voto più basso è generato dal fatto che per un hotel 3 stelle superior la tariffa giornaliera da me pagata ad Aprile, parliamo di 171€ /day la ritengo molto alta e non mi si venga a dire "se prenotava prima il costo era più basso" perchè ho fatto un test su booking poco fa e per una camera matrimoniale large ( circa 20 mq) x 1 persona a Maggio in 19 out 21 servono 415€ mentre in un Hotel 4 stelle ugualmente centrale il costo è di circa 360€, ecco perché.

• photostoryteller (10/5): Very Pleased With This Small Well Located Hotel! - Everything about this small hotel “just works! “ The Alma’s welcoming staff is professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone mentioned that in reviews and as a solo senior woman traveler, that & its excellent location was why I chose it. The room is immaculate & looks brand new even though the hotel is 12 years old. My room is on the same floor as reception, not on the street side. There’s no view, just other buildings, but it’s absolutely quiet. There is a lift (elevator) from the entrance to Reception which is staffed from 8:00 until 23:00. I have a door key & the hotel owner is available by phone and What’s App after hours. There is air conditioning/heat but in early April I did not need it. I did use the towel warmer/wall heater in the bathroom to make it cozy. That’s a nice touch. Breakfast is fine, more like a continental breakfast with fruit, yogurt, cheese and meat, boiled eggs & lots of pastry and bread. I saved my calories for the street! It’s less than a ten minute walk to both of the famous theaters, the Garibaldi & Massimo. From there, I walked all over this charming, lively, historic city day & evening. The Capo Street Food Market was amazing. The only neighborhood that I was a bit uncomfortable with was the Ballaro market though the hotel staff said that it is fine in the mornings. I must mention a nearby restaurant called Sapori Perduti. The hotel recommended it & has its menu handy because The Alma Hotel owners also own that restaurant. I was expecting an ordinary meal after a travel day. This intimate restaurant and its food stunned me. The food was “Art.” I’m still dreaming of the exotic flavors the chef achieved. I had the Price Fixed €40, although the menu is available à la carte as well. Check the photos of the three dishes I had. I was very pleased with my stay at The Alma Hotel. • NS (9/5): - Very cute and super clean rooms and friendly personable service from the staff at all times. We were upgraded upon check in to a larger room which also enhanced the stay. Breakfast items could include healthier and more vegan and vegetarian items. Breakfast area feels cramped when full, but people left quickly enough. Natural Daylight in the room wasn't the best and would make a huge difference in the day and not having to use the lamps. Could hear hallway noise every time someone went past, but it wasn't anything too disruptive.

They were incredibly gracious and I felt welcome immediately. That’s a wonderful feeling when you arrive jet-lagged from a long journey. Next, my room was fabulous! I had a beautiful living room (with Palermo photography as wall decor) and a separate bedroom area. I’ll be honest, I rarely sleep well my first night in a hotel. Especially with jet lag. I slept for almost 12 hours my first night! Likely the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Regarding location - the hotel is perfectly situated. It’s centrally located and I walked to all the major sights (and more) with ease. I also booked my airport transfer with the hotel and it was seamless. Throughout my stay, the staff was distinctly attentive - always making sure I didn’t need anything. It was truly lovely. Lastly, the morning breakfast (included) was breathtaking. Fresh pastries, fruits, juices, and the most delicious cappuccino I had in Palermo. I highly recommend Alma Hotel for your next stay in Palermo.

• workingdogs (10/5): Excellent location - We were two couples wanting to stay in a reasonably priced hotel within walking distance of the older part of Palermo but outside the ZTL to avoid charges for the rental car. This location met this need. Furthermore, we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We were assigned 6th floor rooms overlooking the street. They were reasonably spacious and well equipped. The elevator is small but usually available. Large variety of food items were offered at breakfast.

The room was a little tight, but typical of European hotels, and had everything we needed for our three day stay. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. All in all, I would stay here again.

The location was superb and within walking distance of most other the major attractions. It's an older hotel that I think has had a recent facelift but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good. The refrigerator was a nice amenity. The room was a bit too small.

The hotel was very helpful in advance about securing parking, and in general were very easy to communicate with via Expedia. The rooms themselves were lovely: super clean, very comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, nicely decorated, and surprisingly quiet in this busy city. Room was clean and well maintained. My room was noisy because it was facing the street but they provided earplugs which can be helpful for sensitive people. Private transfer was very good value with excellent service. Highly recommended.

They have electric shutters that block all the noise and light at night, so we slept great. This is a modern boutique hotel. Lots of hooks and places for luggage, etc. The breakfast was good. Not a cook to order, but everything they had was very tasty. The staff is fantastic. I had difficulty with my bus ticket and they were able to take care of everything for me. We were able to get an early check in too. This is in a very central location to shopping and all the major tourist sites. I would definitely recommend.

Lokacija je odlična sve smo mogli obići pješice. Osoblje u hotelu je jako ljubazno. Kreveti su bili udobni i jastuci su bili dobri.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and particular credit to the housekeeping staff as the cleaning was immaculate every day. Also well functioning air conditioning! Breakfast was generous and varied with a collection of fresh pastries (and other things but my focus was on the pastries!). Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was perfect for exploring the city on foot. Would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel!
