Guest Reviews
- Maureen (10/5): - Great stay
- Kathryn (10/5): - Very welcoming front desk. Lovely view of illuminated Pilgrims Monument at night.
- Meg (10/5): - Awesome staff, comfiest, cleanest room perfect for 2, amazing location and delicious daily breakfast
- Babette (10/5): - We really felt pampered staying at the Salt Inn. Loved the stylish room which included all the amenities including earplugs, amazing smelling soaps and a very comfortable bed with crisp white cotton linens. The breakfast buffet was loaded with lots of tasty gourmet treats. The fresh lemon cornbread and the chia pudding with berries were two of my favorites. We'd definitely book here again!
- Winston (10/5): - Great staff very accommodating
- Hanadi (10/5): A lovely first experience in Ptown - Though the room was small, it was very comfortable and clean. The quality of the bedding, towels and toiletries was terrific. The breakfasts were generous and very good with excellent variety. The location was convenient to all of the action in the center of town but still in a quiet enclave. And it is also close to the ferry. Michael, the host (owner?) was so very gracious. He was very helpful in pointing us to nice restaurants. And as it was raining on the day I left, he sent me home with one of their lovely umbrellas. I would definitely return there.
- Jessica (10/5): - Simple and clean aesthetic, nearby everything. Very kind team.
- Michael (10/5): Perfect, as always! - Perfect, as always!
- Nicholas (8/5): Favorite place in PTown but be aware of 1 sm room - I love the Salt House Inn. This was my third time staying there. I hope I can always stay there when in town. The only thing to be aware of is that room 12 is the smallest room on property and is very tight for two people. It's a queen size bed and you can barely walk around it. I've stayed in other rooms and think this is unique to just this one space on property.
- Kathryn (10/5): - My room was clean and serene. The hosts were welcoming and low-key. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully served. Products in room were quite nice I will be back
- JEANPAUL (10/5): - Wonderful place with attentive and friendly staff. It has a historic charm and is quiet .
- Keith (10/5): - I would stay at Salt Inn again no question about it! Steve and Michael are great hosts and the property is so well located away from the main strip but close enough to make it a convenient place to stay!
- Ashley (10/5): - Highly recommend! Great location and very quaint rooms.
- William B (10/5): Highly recommended - We loved Salt House Inn. It's a relatively small property, which meant we got personal attention when needed. The breakfast was lovely, the location is great (just a couple blocks to Commercial Street, the main thoroughfare, and to the beach). We were a little shocked that the daily rate doubled on the weekend, but perhaps that is true across the board in Provincetown, because this is a popular tourist destination. We found the other guests to be interesting conversationalists over breakfast and will stay in touch with some.
- Renee (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful Inn! Clean - friendly - gorgeous - great staff - yummy food. Would definitley stay again!
- Richard (10/5): - Lovely place. Great staff. Breakfast was terrific.
- Meredith (10/5): - Beautifully kept property and amazing staff. I was nervous because I was traveling alone I immediately felt very comfortable. Highly recommend
- Christopher (10/5): - Very comfortable room for an overnight stay! Beautiful common areas conducive to relaxation and low key conversation. A delicious breakfast as well!
- James (10/5): - The Salt House Inn in was a fantastic stay - highly recommended. It’s perfectly located: just a short walk to shops, galleries, and restaurants, but also incredibly convenient for accessing the bike paths through the dunes to the beaches. A great balance of charm and location, ideal for exploring both town and nature.
- Alecia (10/5): - What a marvelous place! Loved staying at this charming, beautiful property. Conveniently located in the center of town. Just a short walk to Commercial Street. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. Great hospitality! Had an excellent stay.
- Michael (10/5): - Very friendly and knowledgeable staff
- Catharine (10/5): - The location is great- close to Commercial but on a quiet street. The decor is on point. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is awesome.
- Judy (10/5): - Great place to stay for women’s week.
- Thomas (10/5): PTown Carnival - I was there for the town’s carnival. The inn is close to the center, yet still quiet from all the celebrations. Breakfast was plenty. The receptionist (Steve) was hospitable and informative.
- Kathryn (10/5): - The location is excellent and the property is beautiful! We missed the part of the website where it said the bathroom was down the hall, so that wasn't ideal for $600/night. We had a nice weekend and the staff was very helpful.
- Jason (10/5): - Excellent location and space.
- Richard (10/5): - Like everything. That’s why we keep going back!
- Richard (10/5): - Salt House Inn
Is great from moment you’re greeted by Donielle She is great.
- Clay (10/5): - Staff was absolutely the best. Loved every minute of our stay.
- Eleanor (10/5): Our first time but not our last. - We were extremely happy at the end. The people who run the Inn are friendly and helpful, providing wonderful breakfast and answering any questions One might have. We particularly love the location of the Inn – very close to the center of Provincetown, But away from the noise. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room spacious enough. We will definitely stay here again!
- Bethany (10/5): Highly recommend - The owner is amazing. Breakfast was incredible.
- Amy (10/5): - Lovely property
Lovely owner
Wonderful, thoughtful touches throughout
Really delightful breakfast
- Michael (10/5): - Donielle and Michael were excellent and accomodating hosts. Beautiful grounds and cozy room. The complimentary breakfast was the best ever!
- katelyn (10/5): A memorable place for a bday trip - My fiancé CJ and I had an excellent stay. We were really touched that special non alcoholic drinks were left for us to celebrate his 30th birthday and a room upgrade unexpectedly. The place is in an excellent location and I will stay here again.
- Catherine (10/5): - My Salt House Inn stay was perfect. The room was very comfortable. The inn is charming, the staff friendly and hospitable, and the breakfasts delicious. It was very convenient to have parking at the back door. The garden is delightful.
- Melissa (10/5): - Wonderful weekend escape- thank you for the warm welcome and delightful stay!
- Dorothea (10/5): - Beautiful place in perfect central, while quiet location.
- Vikram (10/5): - Charming rustic, yet modern, inn with superb service and good breakfast spread. A block off Commercial St. The only downsides are the small room sizes and that the bedroom windows on the ground floor are a couple feet from the road so you can hear cars from the room
- Margaret (10/5): - Very kind and welcoming staff.
- Marc (10/5): Wonderful stay - A wonderful place, super friendly and hospitable.
- Billy (10/5): - Location is great. Hosts very hospitable. Great decor. Booking for next year.
- Daniel (10/5): - The hospitality of the staff was outstanding. They made a special effort to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we were touched by that.
- Kirk (10/5): Fantastic Stay - My girlfriend and I stayed at Salt House Inn after spending time in Boston and travelling around Cape Cod. We stayed in 2 places in Boston, down in Hyannis and then here whilst stopping in different towns along the way too and Salt House Inn was by far our favourite placed to have visited. We have travelled a lot and the Inn might actually be a favourite across the board!
It is a quaint, clean, beautifully designed inn where attention to detail makes it such a well thought out, comfortable and overall lovely experience. The team were attentive, chatty and so friendly, with a perfect light breakfast every morning in peaceful surroundings, inside or out. It is also a very short walk down the road to the main street (Commercial St) but distanced enough to be a quiet night.
The rooms are characteristic and spacious – we had a Queen Bed room - which was much bigger than the pictures looked and decorated thoughtfully and with quality. We wished we took a picture before we settled down!
Thank you to all the team who made this such a lovely stay, we’d love to come back and would recommend!
- Donald (10/5): - Steven was outstanding! Totally went above and beyond. Thank you
- Devin (10/5): - This inn was thoughtfully designed and beautifully maintained. The staff was very friendly and warm. The inn was an easy short walk to downtown but just tucked back enough to be nice and quiet. The room was very comfortable- great temperature control and everything we needed.
- Christopher (6/5): - Our room was the Double Bed and it was quaint and perfect for just sleeping in while you're out and about. The parking lot is very tight and there's enough parking for every room available. 9 rooms = 9 parking spots. Our window is broken in the room, it does not close. So I unfortunately didn't sleep well due to people yelling at night and the noises of delivery trucks. I always bring my own pillow to inns, hotels, etc due to how flat they are. The "free" breakfast is some pastries, homemade bread, and their own homemade chai parfaits. If you're not into healthy food, it won't be for you. I personally did not see any beverages that were complimentary, besides tea and coffee. Everything was within walking distance. It was 5 minutes to walk to most places, but can be up to 30 to get anywhere else. It was very clean and beautiful there. The shower does take a few minutes to get warm water too.
- Alexander (10/5): - Lovely room . Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend
- Salvatore (10/5): - The owner and staff made us feel completely at home. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was awesome. Easy walk to everything in Ptown but one block off the main drag made it nice for quiet time.
The outside spaces were a great combination pf quiet sun or shade as desired.
Can’t wait to get back
- claire (10/5): - Well- located. Welcoming host who recommended The Red Inn for dinner which turned out be a very good choice. Not a large room but has everything you need.
- Richard (8/5): - Very clean and pleasant setting. Breakfast was beautiful. Only issue was no hot water in shower yes there was hot in the sink. Reported it to Saturday day host and she suggested I must have been showering while everyone else was which doesn't explain why there was hot water in the sink still. Returning Saturday afternoon she said they looked at it and confirmed that they had verified that I had hot water in the shower. There was still no hot water in the shower. I reported this to the other host and he stated that he would need to call the owner but that they were full and could not make any re-accommodation. I would definitely return if only for the comfy bed and the wonderfull breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Weekend getaway - My husband and I were celebrating our Anniversary. Our stay at the Salt House Inn was wonderful! The breakfast was amazing! The Salt House team were so nice to welcome us with a bottle of wine and anniversary card on our arrival. We will
definitely be back!
- Amanda (10/5): - This place was absolutely wonderful, would stay there again!
- Dawn (10/5): - Super place to stay and nice breakfast in the morning! Would definitely stay again 😃
- Terry (8/5): - Room was small, tiny even. No drawer space for clothes. At least it had its own bathroom, which was also lacking in space.
- Frederic (10/5): - The staff are very friendly and helpful, the location was perfect and very walkable, the room was very comfy and very clean and the breakfast was very good! Will definitely stay here again next time I go to P-Town!
- Lawrence (8/5): - The landscaping/trees were overgrown which made the place kind of dark and mysterious looking. The trees need serious trimming, IMO
- JoAnn (10/5): Great place - The staff at the Inn were very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was so delicious. I was very impressed by the text/emails that they sent to check on our arrival and if we neede anything. Great place!!
- Barbara (10/5): - Location was great for walking into town!
- Piotr (10/5): - Amazing place and friendly staff. Very close to Main Street and the beach.
- Bruno (10/5): - Such an incredible location, staff, and property! You’re smacked down in the middle of Ptown without actually feeling the hectic atmosphere of Commercial St (main ave)
Cleo was incredible help since the moment we arrived. Amenities of the room was fantastic. Highly recommend
- Angela (6/5): - Great place with great service, but the room was extremely small and the bed uncomfortable.
- Peter (10/5): - Very cute place. Rooms charming but many on the smaller side. Great location. Nice vibe.
- Jon (8/5): - Well appointed room, excellent service including complimentary breakfast happy hour, in a convenient location
- Wouter (10/5): - Very nice place and nice host!
- Gerard (10/5): - The rooms are clean and comfortable, in a great location, the breakfasts are the best - right up there with the staff.
- Moshe (6/5): - The inn itself is small and nice. Came in for 24 hours, check in was only around 4pm as the room was not ready.
- Kevin (10/5): - Great people, great service
Very friendly and professional
- Courtney (10/5): - The room was beautiful and staff was extremely helpful.
- Sarah (10/5): - Quaint inn with great staff, walking distance to commercial street where there's shopping, dining and entertainment.
- william (8/5): - Very friendly staff and nice breakfast. Rooms were a bit small.
- alexander (10/5): - Fantastic stay! Good location!
- Kevin (10/5): - Lovely property and clean rooms! Cleo was very helpful and sweet.
- Nancy (10/5): - This property was very quaint. The room was small but clean and that’s the most important to me . The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again when traveling back to Provincetown.
- Eric (10/5): Wonderful B&B - Wonderful little B&B with a great location.
- Theoharoula (10/5): - Outstanding service, Excellent accommodations, Clean, Quiet, the perfect place to relax!
- Paul (10/5): - Beautiful property. We had to find a place last min and we are glad we found the salt house… but what made the stay even better was Tim. He was amazing … he was so nice and helpful and made the experience ten times better definitely coming back because of the customer service we experienced
- Alison (10/5): Ptown stay @ Salt - Tim was a fabulous host!
- Raymon (10/5): I’d stay again - There is parking, I traveled alone and felt safe the entire time. The staff was friendly and informative.
- Hannah (10/5): - We arrived to find the receptionist away and no information about how to find our room. There was a set of keys on the desk, but we were not sure they were meant for us. After trying to find someone for a while, we took the keys and tried every hallway until we found one that opened and we found a room that we hoped was ours. It turned out, we were right. The next day, the innkeeper more than made up for our earlier inconvenience by offering their sincerest apologies, as well as wine and lunch on the house. We were very pleased with the effort made to put things right and we would now recommend the property to P-town enthusiasts everywhere. However, be sure to ask in advance for a phone number to call in case you arrive and no one is home. We called the only number we were given, and the number that appears on the website, to no avail. We found out later that you basically need the cell number of whoever is no duty for the day you visit. Keep this in mind and plan in advance to ensure a smooth arrival. Otherwise, enjoy the friendly innkeepers, the comfortable beds and cute rooms, and the easy walk/cycle to all your favorite spots in Provincetown.
- Alexander (10/5): - Hotel was amazing. Loved the service!
- Alejandro (8/5): - A great property located within walking distance from all the shops and restaurants.i wish the walls wouldn’t been so thin thst you are heard and hear EVERYTHING
- Pamela (8/5): - Thanks for accommodating the early breakfast. It was great. Loved the room especially the soft white bed and the big shower with the delicious shampoo and bath gel. We really liked P-town and wish we had more time there
- Richard (10/5): - Beautiful room, cozy, excellent staff, very friendly. Fantastic stay.
- Charles (8/5): - Was a little disappointed that the bathroom was not en-suite. Did not see that mentioned in hotels.com listing. No bathrobes were in room even though bathroom was down the hall. Front desk recommended a restaurant that was closed for the season. Clean up (vacuuming) in the next room woke us in the morning. Breakfast was very good though.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Everything was perfect, but we had to use our phones as flash lights each night because the property, the walkways in particular, was poorly lit. Foot lights would've been appreciated.
- David (10/5): Salt House Inn Stay - The Salt House Inn was excellent. The property is lovely and the location is walking distance to everything that Provincetown has to offer.
- Joshua (10/5): - The AC was amazing. Got the room down to 59 which is rare! Jeffery at the front desk was also extremely accommodating and friendly. Always a smile (I think cause he was masked...) Great place!
- Russell (10/5): Perfect stay!! - It was a short two night getaway. The room was clean and comfortable. Everyone was hospitable and accommodating. And the breakfast was fabulous!!
- Janet (10/5): Wonderful stay! - My cousin and I definitely enjoyed our stay here. The inn is lovely and was reasonably priced. We especially enjoyed our morning breakfast and complimentary happy hour beverages. We also enjoyed chatting with Michael during our stay and found him to be exceptionally helpful in his recommendations of the area. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again.
- Lisa (10/5): Fabulous! - Beautiful boutique hotel in PTown, highly recommend. Staff was amazing and helpful. Close to Commercial St but just off enough to be quiet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was amazing and so professional and friendly. The property was clean, refreshing looking and we enjoyed our stay very much.
- Ronald (8/5): - Wonderful staff! Cute too
- Robert (10/5): Just off the beaten track - Perfect mix. A great level of privacy for a guest house. No noise issues. Super clean inside. Very nice all around.
- James (4/5): - First of all we did not get the room we thought we had booked. We had booked a queen bed and ended up with a double bed. The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. Room was very hot. Actually went out and bought a floor fan to make the room bearable. Breakfast as OK but not up to normal B&B standards. Will not stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This place is very cute, with pleasing interior design and very well-maintained. The breakfast served here was also very delicious. Staff were very pleasant.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The Salt House Inn was extremely disappointing. The online photos are quite deceiving. This is basically a dumpy old motel with fresh paint. The rooms smell old and moldy. The outside is unkempt and overgrown. The price is absurd for this place and this shows in their no refund policies.
- Jenny (10/5): Cute Inn close to the main street - We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and made our anniversary special. Our room was on the smaller side but still big enough for a couple with a few pieces of luggage. Breakfast was good and brought to our room every morning. The Salt House Inn is located on a quiet street a few minutes walk from commercial street. We will definitely stay here again
- John (10/5): Charming - Salt House is a charming little Inn with wonderful customer service. Jeff and Julia took great care of us and we appreciated their hospitality and recommendations of places to visit in Provincetown. We spent only two days in Provincetown but wouldn't hesitate to visit the Salt House again in the future. The rooms are small but clean and cozy, the Inn is within very close walking distance of all of the main attractions, and I already mentioned the warm hospitality.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really nice place to stay. Jeffery was very knowledgeable and helpful. Staff is there most hours of the day and is able to help with whatever is needed. Room was quite small, especially for the price. Very close to Main Street so perfect for walking. Hotel was loud at night with paper thin walls.
