• Manmathen (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at this hostel! The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city and very close to the beach, making everything easy to reach. The hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming, and kind. They even allowed us to celebrate a birthday there, which made our stay extra special. They were also very understanding and supportive, especially with our children being loud at times. We truly appreciated their patience and hospitality. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay!

Nice rooms and pretty good washrooms. Keycards for the rooms and front door. Great location close to the station and the sea. 2 washrooms shared for the building but they’re nice washrooms and it’s an older building so not much they can do about that. Drawers in the room aren’t lockable but my roommates were very friendly so I was never worried about my stuff.

• Efunwoye (5/5): Advice everyone to come with ear plug. - The rooms were clean and staff was okay. A lady woke me up at 5am that she could not sleep n wanted to sleep in my bed. That was so creepy, bad n annoying. Her excuse was am snoring , who does not snore and why come to an hostel where you can not stand if someone snore.

I used the hostel as a base to explore the area by bus. Would recommend staying here, even though it's a bit out of the way Wish the beds had a privacy screen/curtain, and a charger near my head

• Eloise (4/5): Good location but frustrating lack of staff presence and cleanliness was a bit below par - Good location, very close to the station and high street. Short, pleasant walk to Great Orme. Staff were friendly when you could get ahold of them. Held my luggage for a few hours for free which was helpful. Mattress and bedding were fairly comfortable and it was nice having armchairs in the room. The frustrating thing is the lack of available staff. There’s no reception at the entrance (seemingly one in the basement near the dining room, but no signage) and staff were very hard to get ahold of, even within the very short hours the reception was supposedly open. Once I was able to talk to them, they were very friendly and helpful, but the trouble getting in touch made the whole stay quite frustrating. There is a phone number you can ring, but it is stated it is only for emergencies, so I didn’t feel like I could ring to make general queries. No one was around to answer the door when coming to collect my luggage within the discussed timeframe, and I had to rely on other guests to let me in after waiting 10 mins. The dining room facilities were pretty dirty, with the microwave being caked in food and the tables not wiped down over a few days. There’s no sink in the “kitchen” area which makes food preparation and tidying quite difficult. You can leave your dishes to be washed by the staff, but it’s a bit icky coming down for breakfast in the morning to a stack of dirty dishes left in the side. The bins were also left to overflow overnight. It also seems the bathrooms aren’t cleaned very often. They weren’t overly dirty, but just seemed like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The bunk beds are very low, meaning that if you have a bottom bunk, you can’t sit up in bed and may hit your head if not careful. There were thankfully two chairs in the room.
