Guest Reviews
- Erald Marku (4/5): - Location I was not happy with the cleanliness. There was a bad smell, communication was poor, and they did not give us any suggestions about the area.
The bed sheets were probably not washed. We left one day earlier, and they did not even ask us why or whether everything was okay.
Disappointing. It is not like in the photos.

- Jere (9/5): Overall a real nice place to stay! - Wonderful and friendly owner with a cute dog. Great service, good location, all sorts of amenities available. Cheap extras to be bought, easy to recycle trash. Saw a cockroach once but not a big issue.
- Beatrice (9/5): -
- Maia (4/5): - Very basic outdated and unkept, while the joy of being in Zamami, the price for what you get is off!
Clean and does the job, but barely space in room, facilities need upgrade, and at that price you expect much better

- Adriana (8/5): - We really enjoyed staying at Cha Villa. It’s very conveniently located in Zamami, which made it perfect for diving, especially since we could easily leave and manage our diving equipment outside. There’s also a terrace at the front where you can relax and spend some time. The rooms were clean and comfortable overall. The rooms were a bit on the smaller side and felt somewhat outdated. Additionally, the hot water didn’t always work consistently for showers, although this wasn’t a major issue for us.
- Dario888 (8/5): Eigentlich schön, jedoch viel zu teuer - Schöne Unterkunft in sehr guter Lage Viel zu teuer
- Jose (10/5): Staff are very nice and comprehensible - The staff where helpful and accommodating

- Heidi (10/5): - Amazing location, lovely staff, and all needed amenities provided.
- Moritz (9/5): - The lady holgind the place is very kind and the location is beautiful! From the whole stay in Japan, that was one of the biggest rooms!
- T3ch (9/5): Nice stay for exploring Zamami - The manager is lovely and super helpful. The team was so flexible when we had ferry cancellations, which we really appreciated! Oreo the dog is also a cute addition to reception. The garden is lovely, and it's great to have access to a washing machine. The room itself was basic and slightly dated, but it was clean and we were comfortable enough. The location is perfect, a minute to the port, right in the village in easy reach of everything. Zamami is beautiful! As some people have mentioned, there's a slightly musty smell in the room if you don't ventilate it/have the air con on, and the bathroom is quite small, but manageable.

- Alice (6/5): - - location 2 minutes from the ferry on the main settlement of the island
- nice garden with tables and chairs
- Japanese rooms available with tatami in good condition, very comfy futon and new bedding. I love Japanese rooms and futon and while the room was very simple, I slept extremely well. - one of our rooms (on the ground floor) had a slightly mouldy smell on arrival. This was fixed by airing the room and using the provided air purifier, but still not a great experience.
- the bathroom is small even for a ”unit bath”
- other reviews mention several staff and a café where you can have breakfast, but off-season in December the café was closed and there was only the owner. He was extremely hard to get a hold of as he seems to be working other jobs, so we were unable to rent snorkeling gear from him or even ask him a question. He also doesn't speak English, which could be a problem. The service you get seems worse off-season but the price is still not cheap.

- Margaux (10/5): - Everything was according to the description. The manager was extremely helpful after we had to leave a day early because of anticipated weather disruptions to the ferry service.

- Solomon (6/5): - The yard was a lovely space to gather outside, weather permitting. The motel was 5 minutes walk from the ferry and 20 minutes walk or 5 minute bus ride to Furazamami beach. The bathroom was tiny even for a small person like myself. It had a sulfurous odor. There was no room to hang up or store anything. The facilities were dirty.

- Ido (10/5): Great stay in Zamami - Super central location, was available quite last minute (which is hard in Zamami)
Host was super friendly, and offered to help us making reservations for stuff
We did laundry - which was very easy to do - and dried quickly in the Okinawa sun :)
The roome itself has a small kitchen - which can be useful Took us 30 minutes to check in, but it wasn't a big deal (room wasn't ready at 3pm sharp)

- Teck Chuan (9/5): Convenient location for a comfortable stay on this lovely island! - This property is conveniently located close to the port within a short walking distance. Checking in and collect of keys is simple and fast. The host is friendly and can provide information for a wonderful stay on the island.
The room has all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. It is clean and towels are provided. You can change the towels and get other amenities at the main room if you wish. There is a washing area and a washing machine for your laundry. The room, as with most rooms in Japan, is small but you would probably be spending most of the time exploring the island, the room is ample for a good shower and a good night's rest.
If you need, you can request for a simple breakfast in the morning (payable). For dinner, there are many nice restaurants close to this property but it is best if you ask the host to help you make a reservation or check if it is open. If you want to explore to the inner parts of the island, you can rent an electric bicycle easily.
The host was friendly and provided prompt answers to our queries. She also suggested things we could do on the island and we had nice conversations over breakfast. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will come back again! During our stay, the garden/patio was under renovation and it was a little messy. But I think it is only a temporary thing. Hopefully, it would be back to looking lovely when we visit again.
- Claudia (8/5): Very good - Suited us great for location and price. Bathroom was very small, but as expected.
- Annie (9/5): Superb -
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
- Jon (9/5): Thanks for the best time - Lovely room, great location and quiet Nothing
- Vid (7/5): Good -
- David (8/5): Great place to enjoy Zamami! - Lovely place, all you need and a beautiful island to explore. The room price is high in general at Zamami for what you get. Issues of being on a small island.
- Michal (10/5): Paradise - Great place in a wonderful location close to everything. The owner is such a nice guy - there was a typhoon coming and the ships for our return date got cancelled. He adviced us what to do and even refunded the night we could not spend there. Thank you!
- Oleksandr (9/5): Superb -
- Patrycja (8/5): Good place for discover Zamami nature at its best! - Zamami Island is an unique place for chill and explore the underwated world at it’s best!
It was a pleasure to stay there! The price was high for accomodation, but I understand the specific of remote islands.
- Caitlin (8/5): Oreo is the cutest dog. - Very clean and great location . Tons of mosquitos outside. Expensive for the off season.
- Javier (5/5): It's a fine place to stay but they need to work on comfort for their guests. - The location is very close to the port, but everything is since Zamami village is so small. The people working there were wonderful and very helpful. I stayed in a Japanese style room with a tatami mat. I have stayed in many Japanese style rooms before (this my 4th visit to Japan) and this is by far the most uncomfortable. The futons are not really futons as much as they are folding gym mats. I think this place is great but they need to invest in better sleeping mats for guests. The bedding also seemed old.
- Norberto (8/5): Japanese cozy beach vibes awesomeness - Amazingly close to the port, easy to find, staff is kind and helpful, cozy vibes and charming.
- Ella (8/5): Very good -
- Gabriela (8/5): Very good - Very well located, close to the ferry. Has a nice garden. Bathroom was very small and uncomfortable.
- Radek (8/5): Very good - Well equipped room,
everything was clean The room Is small for 3 peple
- Retzlaff (10/5): Exceptional -
- Guillaume (8/5): Great stay in Zamami! - Great location very close to the port. Very friendly place.
- Merkl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Axel (10/5): Great stay - Jitsuyo-san is an exceptional host, very friendly and accommodating. The room is small, although this is typical for Japanese accommodation but all facilities were included, washing machine, cooking plate, microwave oven, tv from 1995, pots and basic cutlery. Clean small bathroom/shower/toilet (enter forward, exit backwards). We would stay here again Not much, close to everything, conbini, restaurants, isakaya, port, nice beaches
