• Doros (10/5): Wonderful stay in a renovated early 20th century building! - Great location in the heart of Ermoupolis. Immaculate room in terms of cleanliness. Very tastefully decorated with a vintage feeling.They were very flexible concerning our check-in and check-out times since the next and previous guests were coming and leaving in convenient times.

• Efstathios (8/5): Our stay was pleasant. Ermoupoli is a wonderful town and Syros has a few great beaches. - It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the main square, so, the location is good. It’s close to many good restaurants and shops. However, although Ermoupoli is probably the prettiest town in the Cyclades, it is also probably the most hilly. Be prepared to climb a lot of steps. The trade off is great views of the sea. The only thing that could be improved is more shelf space for clothes.

I was third time on Syros and it was my the best place. - Wonderful place : I had room with view to roofs of houses in the city and the sea with lights of shipyard. Really beautiful!! I like so much this kind of old houses: the style! Perfect! The owner Roberto was so friendly! I had big luggage, Ermoupoli is a full of stairs: Roberto helped me on the way from the ferry to appartment and later to the port, to my ferry! Big thank you once more! Nothing! Everything was absolutely perfect!

• Arthur (10/5): Gemütliches zentrumsnahes Zimmer Ermoupoli - Die Lage ist phänomenal, zentral aber mit Aussicht. Das Zimmer ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, einige Infobroschüren über Syros helfen beim Erstellen eines Tagesprogramms. Es ist außerdem sehr ruhig.

• Pam (8/5): Good - Nice room, lovely sun terrace and views. Good bathroom facilities and good exercise with all the steps! It was quite hard to find the property as the there were no signs and no-one knew where it was.

• Robin (8/5): - Good, high ceiling apartment with comfy, large bed, ceiling fan and large bathroom. The balcony overlooking Hermoupolis was small and the view was restricted by nearby walls. Not a balcony to linger on. Not clear if the room is serviced during your stay or not. We had to request bags for the loo bin as no fresh ones were supplied. A strenuous walk from the ferry port when you have luggage as the direct route is all steps, but there is a more circuitous route on more graded streets. You might need a taxi. No shops or bars nearby. To go to any shops, bars or restaurants you need to take the steps or slopes. 10-15 minutes down and then the same back up. Definitely not a hotel. Booking.com seem to thing it is, but it's not.

Hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Room was perfect, extremely comfy bed, quiet part of the town, great views, very close to Miaouli Square and all the main attractions of Ermoupoli. Thank you.

• Sonia (9/5): Authentic cosy welcoming accommodation with a terrace that will enjoy for hours. - The location definitely the view and outside balcony was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the bar fridge suited our needs not to forget the expresso machine. Also the thought that went into picking us up from the ferry was a welcome surprise and really appreciated. The property manager was available at your request. The shower was different. The stairs to the main bedroom are very narrow and steep but manageable.

• Vassilis Kal (9/5): A very pleasant stay in a spotlessly clean hotel! - A very pleasant stay overall. The place is ideal for a short stay in Ermoupolis. The location is also convenient, close to the center but in a very quiet part of the city. The room was spotless, everything very clean and the towels so fluffy and smelling amazing! The room was cosy and the big bathroom was a big plus. The bed was very comfortable and the coffee machine and fridge also were appreciated! We didn't have a seperate balcony but we had access to the small terrace in front of the room. The owners were very hospitable and helpful, providing everything we needed. Communication was great and fast. They also gave us recommendations to get to know the island. The only things I would comment, that did not greatly affect our experience, is the position of the A/C that may hit you directly when sleeping and the fact that, in case you don't have a vehicle, there are many stairs to get to the hotel from the center.

I was not aware of all the stairs to get to the villa which made it difficult with luggage but would suggest arranging taxi as it is worth the cost to stay at this Villa.

Unfortunately, I had the most unpleasant sleep. - The mini garden area was neglected. Therefore, we were unable to use chairs and tables.

It was central to the town , although some people may struggle with the amount of steps up to it from the town centre. Roberto kindly took us to the port , he would have collected us as well except we took a taxi. The whole holiday was perfect from start to finish. Syros is an absolute gem. 😁😁 Nothing!!

Very good bed, lighting well done. We usually stay in more of an Appartement Situation, tried out a room this time and figured its not really our thing because we need a kitchen. But for 3-4 days in Ermoupoli the room is totally great and perfect alone or as a couple 😊✨

Good value too I thought. Lots of steps (we knew there would be) - so wasn't negative for us, but something visitors should be aware of. We didn't have a car, not sure how close vehicle access is.

Beautiful room Location wise, it was quiet and good but remember you are half way up the hill, make sure you get a taxi to take you there. Good thing is you are already half way up towards Ano Syros which is well worth a walk.

I wouldn’t say there was anything I didn’t like about the property, but it is worth mentioning the stairs to get up to the property were a lot! Worth taking the offered transfer when you arrive with cases!

Very quiet area. Wished there was more information readily available to visitors. Things like a map of Syros, timetable of island buses, emergency service contact details, local shops and restaurants. It is important to add that the owner was very easily approachable and helpful when contacted.

• Mandy (10/5): Beautiful property which is well located to explore Ermoupolis. Great value for money. - Beautiful property and spotlessly clean! Great communication before and throughout our stay from the lovely host. Halfway between the port and the old town so within walking distance to restaurants/amenities and things to see. We had a double room with a sea view which gave us a lovely panorama over the port/sea and a nice balcony. Property was perfect!! Beware if your mobility isn’t great as there are A LOT of steps to get to the property as Syros is built on a hill. Only suggestion would be some softer pillows :)
• Tamara (4/5): Misleading pictures and poor service orientation - Instead of the room with a terrace that we had booked we got a different room with a tiny balcony. This was disappointing, but the room as such was beautiful, clean and designed very tastefully. Ermoupolis is generally a wonderful town and the location of the appartement is great to discover it (if you don’t mind taking many stairs). We had booked a room with a terrace and instead got a room with a tiny balcony. Two people could barely sit on it. The view on the city was partly blocked by a building in front of it (see picture). This was very disappointing. We had chosen this appartement because of the big terrace and wouldn’t have booked it otherwise. Communication with the host/staff member was very disappointing and frustrating, too. The lady never introduced herself (so I don’t know her name, to this date), she didn’t welcome us, she didn’t send us any arrival information and she didn’t help with our complaint about the room. Instead, she just tried to put all responsibility off her shoulders by accusing Booking of having inserted the wrong pictures. In this context, she sent me many messages, without offering any client-oriented solution. In addition to that, we would have wished to be informed before arriving that there are hundreds (truly hundreds!) of steps to climb to reach the appartement). We had two big suitcases of each 25 kilo and lifting them up these endless stairs in the summer heat, was very challenging). In my view, a host should at least inform their guests about such important information to allow a smooth arrival. I am traveling with Booking for many years and this is the first time I have to write a negative review. I don’t do it with pleasure, but I would like to warn other guests: If it is important to you to have a room with a terrace, please double-check with the host to avoid any bad surprises upon arrival.

• Karpinska (9/5): Superb - I liked the style of the house and the room: classic and modern at the same time. I loved the bathroom and the lemon tree view. It was very peaceful all the time and it's easy to relax there. It wasn't that easy to get there with a big suitcase as it's on a hill and you have to take the stairs. I will remember to take a smaller suitcase next time because I will certainly come back.

Lovely owner who went the extra mile to make sure I was happy - eg making sure I could get there from the port. Don't try and walk there on your own with luggage in the dark - ask them to book a taxi or meet you at the port :)

The facilities were clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable, even giving us a lift back to the port at the end of our stay. The property was great, but note that Syros is very hilly and the property is high up with lots of steps between the port and the property. speak to the staff about the easiest way of getting to them.
