• Heike (9/5): Tolle Strandlage mit Aussicht. - Tolle Lage direkt am Strand und schöner Aussicht. Team ist hilfsbereit. Pool war bei unserer Ankunft leider nicht sauber. Wurde später gereinigt. Bei diesem Preis muss meines Erachtens aber alles perfekt sein.

This house is amazing and everything in it. Everything you could wish for is here. Our room overlooked the sea. The breakfast was amazing as was the afternoon cake, (lemon meringue). The restaurant recommendations perfect, Barringtons and Sotto. Thank you for making our stay memorable. That we didn’t book to stay longer!

The guest house provides excellent service (Clifford did a very good job!) and the rooms with balconies offer a stunning sea view. Breakfast was very good. Rooms are clean and luxurious. We did not use the pool due to weather, but it also was very clean.

• Choccielate (6/5): Average - The accommodation is satisfactory. The room description nor photos matched the booking.com description as it said there that ours had a balcony. It didn’t! Pool is far too small. It’s a plunge pool. There are also only 4 sunbeds with no space for any more. This was on for us as no one else using it but wouldn’t have been good otherwise. Says it’s in the beach - it’s not! It’s a 5 min walk to access steps. Beach has no sunbeds. It’s not within walking distance of any shop or restaurant. Nearest is 5min by car There are much better located places than this guest house Room is ok. Nothing special and the shower is too small and low. Staff over friendly and irritating to almost a condescending manner, especially re conversation about no balcony and booking.com description. Breakfast was nice. Cook friendly. Lounge area comfortable

It was my birthday and they very kindly made me chocolate brownies and sang happy birthday at breakfast. Thank you to all the staff that made us feel so very welcome and the breakfast on the terrace each morning was perfect. We had afternoon tea with the best lemon meringue I’ve had, delicious. If you get the chance to stay here you will love it.

Every morning started with a marvelous breakfast and the passionate and warm welcome approach of Brian the manager. He and the entire staff gave us the feeling to be among Friends and welcome.

• Yvonne (8/5): It’s a lovely lodge beautifully decorated with exceptional staff our stay was just marred by the building works. - It’s a beautiful property overlooking the beach 2 issues for us. The room we booked was a superior sea view and balcony. However our room sat directly over the roof below which spoils the view. We did ask to move to the room next door which did not have this obstruction but we were informed there were guests there already. We were the first to check in and so we were confused as the room was not open all day and not occupied until the evening. The website photos do not show this obstruction in any picture of the rooms. Additionally the first 2 days were lovely but on the 3rd day drilling started immediately next door and went on all day we had to go out. The building works were on going for some time but not mentioned on the website when booking. However I spoke with the manager and he did compensate us for this.

Good sized room with quality linen and ammenities. Wifi could do with a boost.

I will definitely come back for another visit. Freshly baked scones and cakes is a lovely touch that makes it feel homely and the ladies working the breakfast shift are all lovely and helpful and ready to assist in any way they can. The buffet spread was very fresh with a good selection. Only one thing - the pillows are hard but I say that only because you are asking me what I dont like and perhaps the feedback will be useful to Periwinkel. The Pro's far outweigh the Cons and I would gladly put up with hard pillows as everything else more than makes up for it.

• Dietmar (2/5): - Leider haben wir nicht das Zimmer bekommen, das wir gebucht haben. Wir hatten Meerblick gebucht, also ein Superior Zimmer. Bekommen haben wir ein Standard Zimmer, mit Blick auf den Hof. Das lag daran, dass Expedia in der Unterkunft das Standard Zimmer gebucht hat, und nicht das Superior Zimmer, das wir bei Expedia gebucht haben. Berechnet hat Expedia allerdings uns das Superior Zimmer. Das war sehr ärgerlich. Ich möchte ausdrücklich erwähnen, dass die Unterkunft, der Service, und alles Anderen perfekt war.

The pool is great - it was drizzling when I went in but still loved it. My room was big and warm too 😊 I forgot his name now, but the man with dreadlocks was really helpful on my arrival. Please give him his flowers 😄. I didn't get to have breakfast because I was going to do an activity and felt I could have thrown up had I eaten, so I didn't get to taste all that food. 😞

The house is modern with lovely colour schemes to blend with coastal location. All contemporary furnishings. Our rooms looked out over the beach. The lounge and breakfast balcony is on first floor for maximum views. Really friendly staff and great breakfast. We went for a walk before breakfast, you’re on the beach in 2 minutes!
• Diane (10/5): A quiet special small hotel - If you want that pampered special feeling with only a few other guests, and a perfect position on the beach, then Periwinkle Lodge is the place for you. A small boutique, family owned, architect designed lodge, we enjoyed personal attention without intruding, comfort and peace and the most perfect views of the beach and the passing dolphins. Highly recommended.
• JOHAN (10/5): Johan and Sarah visit - We enjoyed the stay and hospitality by staff, however we were quite disappointed that the spa facility on site was not available as we actualy booked at Periwinkle lodge to utilize this facility.This situation was not communicated to us when we booked and the staff were also not familiar with same on our arrival.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic and friendly with nice touches - We stayed 3 nights and were only let down by the weather, which meant we couldn't enjoy the huge beach across the road and hotel amenities like the fab balcony deck and infinity pool with honesty bar or cocktails made by the small staff team...a very special place where every comfort had been thought of, also treatments on site are good and well priced. Awesome breakfast, thoroughly recommended and a five minute drive from the town with all the great places to see and eat at
