- Bronwen (10/5): Peace at the Princess - The main attraction of the Princess is the spectacular and expansive view over the bay and the Gilis from both the pool deck and the rooms - Both sunset and sunrise were spectacular and we were also lucky enough to witness a rising full moon. The extra large pool was fantastic and, again, that view! The staff are friendly, chatty and helpful and very invested in optimising your stay as best they can. The bedrooms were cool with lovely balconies and comfy clean beds. Breakfast was great with options ranging from a good nasi goreng to dragon fruit smoothie bowls with muesli and coconut flakes. And good green tea. Dinner was a bit more hit and miss. A car or scooter is probably recommended to get up and down the hill. Although we had neither and were fine. We arrived into Mentigi Harbour on a local boat from the Gillis, and within moments of calling them, the Princess hotel sent down 3 scooters to pick us all up and our bags. Lombok wildlife park was an easy trip one morning via a car called up from the Grab app. Another morning we got a car up to Senaru to walk the waterfalls there But both afternoons we just enjoyed lolling around the pool. This place is very peaceful and calming. 🤷

The staff were extremely kind and helpful, would love to stay there again! Would recommend adding more signage at the entrance so you or your driver can find it a bit more easily.

My teenagers particularly loved the pool and we all slept well in the comfortable beds. The banana pancakes are excellent too! There was nothing I can fault. This is a quiet location away from noisy nightlife. So if you want party town go elsewhere. This is a place of peace and tranquillity.

Frankly, everything was perfect!

Pools was clean, and the views were amazing Really nice and friendly staff the help with anything we needed The hotel is on top of a very steep hill. Hard to walk up (not that's there anything to walk down to) The location is very isolated. 30mins drive to senggigi for restaurants and 10 min for Bansal (would 100% avoid Bangsal other than ferry) Food is good but 50% overpriced. Overall good hotel but you have to stay there and chill.

The pool overlooks the sea which is beautiful. The staff is really helpful and really trying to make your stay even better. I would totally recommend this place! Another plus is that the location is close to the harbor of Lombok. Making it a very good stay if you want to take the ferry to the Gili Islands, Nusa Islands or Bali.

- Emer (10/5): Spectacular small hotel to relax in - This is an amazing little hotel. It only has four rooms and we ended up being the only people staying here so it was like having a private villa. The place is so charming and the staff were wonderful. The food was delicious and service was amazing. The views from the hotel are spectacular, you can see all across the gilli islands. We stayed for one night to relax after hiking mt. Rinjani and it was the perfect place if u just want to eat, swim and relax and not leave the hotel. I highly recommend staying here. Nothing, it was perfect

For a traveller though if wishing to do waterfalls pink beach or other snorkelling Gili nanga it is too far for these trips. For Gili T and islands perfect as just across the water. Just depends what you are wanting to do in Lombok

We are a family of four, 2 parents and 2 adult kids and everyone was mind blown with how beautiful this accomodation was. Photos do not do this place justice. The view of the bay, pearl farm and the Gili islands was spectacular. Our host Kipli was incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and a sunset swim in the infinity pool overlooking the bay and Gili islands is a memory we will always treasure.

Breakfast is good too! Kudos to Mas Kipli who was very friendly and professional. He made us very comfortable and went the extra mile. The water below the sink is wet, suspect that it's leaking. The light switches are scattered around the room which we have no clue which lights they control. Possible that it's not working.

The hotel is simply beautiful, from the cozy room to the restaurant and its view on the sea & the three Gili islands, not to mention the big swimming pool. The staff were very friendly, they arranged taxi for us to explore the surrounding area (and this at reasonable prices as it was through the local taxi company - Blue Bird), and were all along available to make our stay perfect. The location is great: 10 minutes by taxi to Bangsal Harbour and 30 minutes to Senggigi. We wished we had stayed more than one night in this peaceful place! The hotel being literally opposite to the Gili, we could slightly hear the music coming from these islands. This didn't prevent us from sleeping well, and we were happy the next morning to be close to the Gili, as we wanted to visit them!

Shower and bathroom was not very clean. Lack of water pressure. Pool needs some maintenance and renovaction works. Compared to others structures where we stayed, the price we paied was too high. There is not the mosquito net on the bed.

If you wanted to enjoy the pool you also had to to it while there were repairs and drilling happening all around. There was no prior warning about it and we were not moved to a room further from the work happening, which could have made it less loud

It'd be better to have a correct contact number for late check-in guests. We arrived in Lombok in the evening, and our taxi driver got lost in the dark on the hills near the hotel. We were unable to reach the hotel staff at the phone number provided on Booking.com.

- Mustafa (8/5): Misleading details on the Web - The hotel on the whole is nice and the care taking crew are v hospitable. However I must mentioned that when I booked the hotel, there was a clause on airport transfer service at a cost of IDR450000. When I wanted to book, I was told the cost was IDR1000000. Also there was a Fine Print on the hotel website that stated that if you stay there for 3 nights, there would be a free return speedboat transfer to the Gilis. But when I was there, the hotel crew checked with his off site manager who told him that it’s no longer applicable. What a dampener & disappointment. Would it be SO difficult for you to take down from the web anything that NO longer applies. It kinda spoilt the image of the hotel too!
