Guest Reviews
- Elvira (9/5): - We made a reservation for the hostel but since they had rooms at the hotel they upgraded our room without charge. Everything was clean, functional and comfortable. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

- Clara (5/5): - Buena limpieza y personal agradable.
- Robert (10/5): - Great stay
- Julissa (2/5): - The room was at another location, far from the original. And the map was not helpful. Going there with 2 bags was difficult. That place does not qualifieds as a hotel.
- JIANFANG (6/5): - The location is not so good.
- George (10/5): - Nice hotel centrrally located. Everything was good except for an electric socket which came off when I unplugged my tablet. And the fact that the hotel is a certain distance away from free parking.
- Arash (6/5): - hotel's parking is trouble and very expensive. parking is in the basement and you need to use a lift that was stock and I was afraid if go down I might not be able to leave next day.
- Elena (10/5): Excelente lugar, limpio, cómodo y tranquilo. La ubicación es perfecta. - The location and space
- ANTONIA (10/5): - Normal
- Michelle (6/5): - The staff or helpful and always available. The Casa building is a few blocks away from the Hotel reception. There, the rooms are arranged around a lovely courtyard in a building. That is a bit difficult to find even by locals! The rooms have no outside windows and the pillow is one long bolster. There is no concierge in the Casa building at all.
- Peter (8/5): Great value for money accommodation. - Excellent value for money with free upgrade from La Casa.
Easy access to Cordoba main points of interest.
Pleasant reception staff. The double bed was a little small.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff was kind, courteous and helpful
- Peggy (7/5): so-so stay - We appreciated Elena and her being so welcoming. The check-in process was VERY frustrating. We arrived at the hotel room address. Fortunately, a local woman explained that we needed to walk all the way around the block with our luggage to check in. this distance was much longer than expected.
We're grateful for the daily housekeeping and we enjoyed the beautiful sitting area in the center of the rooms.
I will say the location of the hotel was conveniently located for touring, enjoying local hautes, and good shopping. Once we arrived at our room it was only big enough for 1 suitcases. Unfortunately, the oder from the toilet drain was intense. additionally the toilet wasn't bolted down to the floor. Hopefully the maintenance crew will resolve those issues in the rooms.
The bed wasn't very comfortable.
- Mohammed (5/5): Passable - Location It is not where the hotel is ,No fan or AC
- Nikki (8/5): Small clean room pretty surroundings. - We didn’t stay at the hotel but the annex . Problem after a hard days travel in unloading a motorbike going back to park it and return to hotel Could have been told that we would not stay in the hotel as we thought but had to walk round to other location with cases etc .
- Maqsood Ahmed (10/5): - That was so clean and antique style interior were there .
- Cynthia (7/5): Nice place for sure, just beware the parking situation. - The location was very good. The bed very comfortable except the pillow was a long single pillow spanning the whole bed and it was not comfortable. The receptionist was exceedingly nice and helpful. The double windows on the street side room kept out noise completely and the A/C was efficient and relatively quiet. Parking the car in the car elevator to garage was a quite difficult and stressful, one should be a skilled driver with the smallest car possible for best results. Parking the car in the garage was difficult and stressful. Best have a very small car. One note about showers in Spain - the doors shielding water from the floor are always half size, which means the floor gets wet every time. I found it odd.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Dodgy! DO NOT USE THEIR PARKING! - They only gave a flavour of their parking after I asked them to book it and they warned "same cancellation policy", meaning I'd have to pay it even if I realised I was parking my car in hell.
They gave a copy of a payment ticket dated a few months old with questionable validity and no reference to me or my car. They asked to pay in cash. This means no evidence of my car ever being there, if there were any problem.
And hell it was. It starts by having to maneuver the car on the sidewalk in order to drive it into an elevator. It takes it to their tiny basement cramped with other cars with almost no space for maneuvering. Then they ask to put it in their disabled parking space for 1 car but they insist to leave space for another car to fit in.
That wasn't the worst. Driving the car inside the elevator to get out was the most challenging manouver ever. We're talking about very narrow margins in all directions I looked. There was no margin for error and a larger car would 100% get damaged. Someone needs to be outside assisting as it's impossible to do it alone either. They protect the elevator entrace with shields and pillars with anti-collision foam and there's signs of damage everywhere. It was clear many cars get damaged and not even due to their driver's skills. That basement was a place of torture for cars (and overwhelming stress for drivers).
They asked for my credit card details for incidents and wrote down the details (as opposed to safely store it in a system).
- Juan (9/5): Reasonable - Nothing special Wifi reception bad, main building access door too noisy
- Kathy (6/5): Disappointing - The staff were friendly and helpful The room is in a building some distance away from the hotel reception. There is no elevator and our room was on thex3rd floor. It was tiny. The shower had very poor pressure but the drain was blocked so when you used the shower you stood in water. The cleaner did her best to fix the problem but after one good shower the problem returned.
- Kelly (6/5): - Its an ok place to sleep in Cordoba. Location is good, but checkin is complicated cause its in another hotel close by, which for me turned into a nightmare cause I had heavy luggage that had to drag around the cobbled streets, and got to the actual place just to find that I had been given a room on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. None of this was mentioned when making the reservation.
- Michael (1/5): Cordoba is beautiful but the hotel spoiled it for us - We didn’t have breakfast From the check in ,our accommodation was difficult to find . When found the key box wouldn’t open, after 10 minutes we managed to get it open but there was no key in it , so after another 10 minutes an employee came and obtained a key from another box and said we would be in another room. The bed was most uncomfortable and there is mold on the net curtains and in the bathroom. We were told that parking was available on booking, but we were informed upon check-in that it wasn’t and had to park a short taxi ride away We won’t be recommending this hotel
- Claudia (7/5): Good -
- Adamantia (1/5): When you want to get robbed, this is the place to stay! - The location is okay. The room was very small. The bed had bedbugs. We slept one night and the morning after we both woke up with itching and rashes. We report this in the reception, they could do anything for that, they denied that they were bedbugs, although we saw them on the bed. Our only option was to leave and to book in another hotel. We hoped that this was the worst thing and booking.com will help us . Unfortunatelly there was more to come from this so called "hotel".
On the arrival they asked me to give the data of my bank card and when I asked why, as I had payed everything by booking, the answer was that they needed for warranty. The next morning they charged my card 126 euros for parking fee for 6 nights! When I went to the reception and I said that I do not have a car and this is a mistake, they were very aggressive. They told me that this is what the system did and they cannot change it. So we lost 126 euros for parking although we went by train to Cordoba and we did not had a car and we had to book another hotel because their filthy bed full of bed bugs. We spent 2 days of the 6 days in Cordoba been busy with banks (I had to block my card) and going to the police to report them for stealing. There they informed us that the hotel suppose to give on this kind of situations a complain form, so we had to go back to ask for it and they did not want to give this form which they are obliged to do, we told the reception that we are going to call 092 (local police) and finally with great hesitation they give us the form. Great start of our stay in Cordoba!
- Annarosa (8/5): - Nel bagno c’era cattivo odore, peccato!!!
- Tom (2/5): Very poor value for money - Ability to store bags at the reception was the only benefit. Most disappointing experience out of 5 bookings in Andalucía.
- After we arrived we were told to go to a separate hotel to check in. Unnecessarily wasting time of guests with luggage.
- Room had a strong smell of sewage from the en-suite. Closed bathroom door at night but opening it in the morning it seemed even worse.
- Very loud noise from 3 neighbouring rooms. Guests are not particularly being noisy but there is no sound insulation at all.
- Window was to the internal courtyard/echo chamber of the building so very awkward to have the curtains open and even more noisy if you opened the window. Unfortunately this is also the only way to ventilate the smell of sewage out of the room.
- No functional extractor in the bathroom so besides the smell the condensation from the shower was still there in the morning.
- Lyapova (8/5): Very good -
- Alejandro (7/5): Good -
- Katie (4/5): Wouldn’t recommend - The good things:
-location wasn’t too bad, was about 20 minutes by walk from the Jewish quarter and attractions. Would have liked to stay fairly closer though as the area the hotel is in is fairly dead.
-the staff were nice and organised me a taxi and also got us tickets for a flamenco show which we really enjoyed.
-the patio was very beautiful inside the hotel The bad things:
-the smell of the room (smelt really chemically all the time)
-you could hear absolutely everything from the other rooms even breathing. People would often speak loudly outside our room too at all hours.
-the bedding was awful and my cover had blood stains
-the windows faced the patio which gave you no privacy if they were open
-the awful wallpaper was falling off the wall
-you could definitely get better value for your money elsewhere
-you needed to walk with all your things to the hotel to check in which wasn’t communicated before (approx 5 min walk) but problematic with suitcases as the streets are very cobbly
-wouldn’t recommend nor stay there again
-shower took a while to heat up
- White (7/5): Bright and light but alright - Location was good and quiet. Comfortable bed. Good value. There was a light in the room that didn’t turn off and the walls were quite thin.
- Denise (9/5): Superb -
- Terry (8/5): Very good -
- Tamara (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- Chris (8/5): Very good - Spectacular courtyard ! Helpful receptionists Paying extra for parking! No hot water second morning. Little confusing regarding check in! At the hotel not La Casa!?
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Very clean and comfortable room. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
- Mehmet Denizhan (10/5): Satisfied. - The room I stayed in was clean and very comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and caring. I have accumulated good memories during my stay and I was satisfied.
- Rasha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Richard (8/5): Very good - Quiet
- TERESA (4/5): - Instructions to check in very confusing. Beautiful house overall but room and bathroom not comfortable
Parking too expensive dor the kind of service. I wished I have booked other lodge.
- Igor (2/5): If you like to get a good night's rest, avoid this place. - Location was great. The NOISE. You could hear EVERYTHING in all of the rooms around you. Just as you're about to fall asleep, someone is flushing a toilet, the front door is being slammed, people talking loudly at midnight. Just awful even with earplugs. I've stayed at hostels previously and those were more enjoyable experiences than this. I should be paid for enduing that experience instead of the other way around. Also, the light in the room doesn't turn off fully so you can still see in the dark. I had to find a shirt to cover my eyes in order to fall asleep.
- Anonymous (10/5): great value for money - great stuff, helped us with a extremely late check in and parking, clean room, great location parking is expensive, 20 euro per night, I suggest to find a public parking
- Pennie (7/5): Good -
- Cassie (10/5): overall pretty good - it was very pretty and pretty comfortable the check in was a little confusing but the staff was accommodating so it’s fine
- Ameet (10/5): staff was amazing. guided me through the super challenging parking. Guided me with the map. close to town. amazing! - clean, staff was super friendly.
highly recommend this.
- Herdís (6/5): Pleasant -
- Miguel (5/5): Passable - The booking and check in was super easy and simple. A phone call after and some door codes and we had access to the room. The street is beautiful and quiet, very quaint location.
The entry hall and patio are very beautiful, in the day, however the lights are extremely bright cold white, that rendered it unpleasant during the night. It didn't feel comfortable to sit or relax in the patio.
The room we stayed in was functional and clean but there was no window to the outside, only to the interior patio.
There was no separate pillows so we had to share a sort of 2 people long pillow which felt uncomfortable.
The light in the room was also white cold light.
There seems to be a terrace on the top floor with some views of the city but not a light or a seating place to benefit from this property feature.
Lastly the 'parking' that is featured on the property add, has a steep daily rate and sincerely was not a good value for money.
All in all a functional room that could benefit if there was an added use of the rest of the facilities.
- Tindall (6/5): Pleasant -
- Doreen (9/5): Helpful staff, clean accomodation, nice location - The hotel Las Faroles (we got the offer to change without extra costs because of availability) is very good located, about 20 min from the bus station/train station in a quiet street and only 10 min from the Mezquita to walk. The room was very clean, with Aircon, two windows (so a lot of light) and a big bathroom (about 10 squaremeter). The owners/staff are very helpful in explaining the visits of the city. WiFi was stable. We would stay again.
- Paul (8/5): Cosy hotel - Nice little hotel but the room was abit small for 3 peoplen
- Nader (6/5): - There was bad smell from sewage system and no vent for wash room.very noisy.
No puedo poner ninguna pega.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We enjoyed staying at Casa de Los Faroles even if our stay was very short. It is clean and well maintained and has an elevator. The location is in the historic and restricted area.
We had an issue with the parking, the car was too big for the sort of elevator to lift the car down to the parking in the basement, we had to turn around a long time before we found a public parking on the street about 20 minutes walk from the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The receptionist Isabel (I am pretty sure that was her name but I am not positive) was wonderful and accommodating. I forgot to check in 48 hours before as it said on the page but she had no trouble with that and helped me and my mother. She put us in a nicer, better ventilated room than we had booked, and printed some tickets for us when we could not find a place to do so. Just overall, very helpful, very nice, I have no complaints.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Muito bem arrumado e bonito. Bem localizado. Funcionarios muito corteses
- Abel Cuauhtémoc (8/5): - El colchón es necesario cambiarlo
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was roomy, pleasant, rustic had charm and quiet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very helpful staff and located in s great part of the city.
- Peter (8/5): Nice Stay, Nightmarish parking for 9 seater cat. - Stay was pleasant.
Parking a Mercedes Vitto was nightmarish getting in and out of the hotel’s parking.
Thankfully there was an expert female receptionist who supervised n made this possible.
- julieta (10/5): - Apto charmoso localizado num daqueles patios deliciosos.
100% recomendable.
