- Harry (9/5): Outstanding option in the desert! - In the absence of a pricier resort, I always seek Residence Inn or Towneplace Suites by Marriott when traveling with food. Reason: The mid size frig/freezer, stovetop more than adequately address our dietary restrictions. The rooms are always quiet and comfortable. The self-serve breakfast is a nice bonus, not to mention the fantastic customer service always delivers. It was a little clunky confirming an early check-in (2 pm) The resort was full the night before, so we could not be guaranteed such a possibility.

I also like that it's wonderful few places that have a refrigerator as well as a cooktop stove for the most part and in the bigger rooms of full size kitchen. I like that because it made it very easy for us to prep our own bills and even occasionally being able to go out to cook on the gas grill.

We booked a rm for a 2 night stay thru Expedia, however, once we arrived to the hotel, we were denied check in. The staff stated that I had only booked for one night. Since we were diverted to Albuquerque due to weather and missed our connecting flight & and was stranded overnight.

- Latrisha (10/5): Mini summer getaway - This was not our first stay at this property however this stay we were able to use the pool and enjoy the breakfast that the hotel offered. The breakfast had hot food items, a cereal and oatmeal bar with various toppings/mix-ins. The pool was sparkling and clean. The jacuzzi was a great temperature and the jets were strong. Overall this stay was immaculate. Side note: There are also great food options close to the property.

There were no meat options which was fine with us, but for those carnivores that’s something to know. Cons: Walls are paper thin and some rooms are adjacent to other bedrooms so uouvv bc an hear everything. The suite we stayed in could use a refurbish- The sofa needed to be replaced Blackout curtains were worn out with holes There was tape in the corners of the tv casing so those need to be replaced. Sounds nit picky but even the walls needed to be wiped down-dirty marks by the light switches etc…

- georgeu352 (8/5): Residence Inn Temecula-Murrietta - We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Murrietta-Temecula for the weekend. We had a few concerns with the room and Dana Williams, Assistant GM, was quite professional and showed a willingness to correct the issues as well as provide a solution that made my wife happy. The hotel is in close proximity to Old Town and about 15 minutes to the wineries. We look forward to returning in the near future to see if the improvements we discussed with Dana are implemented as well as enjoy Temecula and its hiking, wineries and Old town. Recommended

Not only did the room stink of wet dog, but the front desk gal was extremely short when responding to my complaint to change rooms. The bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were used and to worn out to use. I cannot recommend this hotel and would recommend that you stay elsewhere.

Both were advertised as amenities available however breakfast was not provided and the pool was closed for planned repairs. Also the bed was very uncomfortable and I got little sleep. Only muffins and coffee were provided and the staff said breakfast was not provided on the weekends. How would I know that when it was not communicated. Also since the pool closure was planned that should have been communicated as well. I paid my bill in full but I did not receive amenities specifically stated would be included. I feel I’m due to partial refund for false advertisement.

- Wannaenjoyvacations (4/5): SUB-STANDARD MARRIOTT PROPERTY OPERATED BY FRANCHISED OWNERS - When available we usually stay at a Residence Inn when we are travelling (with the exception when we travel out of the country and then we stay at a St. Regis Hotel if available). We visited family on this stay for 3 nights/4days and once again elected a Residence Inn. This property is EXTREMELY disappointing. It is franchised owned and the owners are NOT maintaining the property to Marriott standards. The blackout drapes in the suite we occupied had holes the size of quarters throughout the drapes; the exterior paint was peeling away from the building and in desperate need for a full re-paint; the owners shut down the hot breakfast when Covid hit in 2020 and refuse to offer their guests a hot breakfast but rather have opted to offer a tiny bar area by the reception counter with what they call a 'grab-n-go' which is nothing more than a gross, prepackaged sticky muffin (something you get from a gas station store), coffee (not even orange, apple, or cranberry juice), a banana or orange and a cup of pre-packaged oatmeal (all of which had nuts and one of us is allergic to nuts). THAT'S the "breakfast" served by the franchise owners of this Residence Inn Temecula/Murrieta by Marriott. This was at a rediculous price of $270/night. When we inquired over no hot breakfast, we were told if we wanted a hot breakfast, there were nearby restaurants open for breakfast or we would need to go across the parking lot to a Courtyard and eat there (as if we wanted to leave the supposed comforts of the property we were paying for to trapse across a parking lot to another Marriott property) !!! And, a disgusting issue, they have a 'dog walk' area with astroturf near the front entrance that reeked of dog urine, clearly never being washed off daily (or at all). Will we ever stay at this property again - NO - not unless Marriott makes the franchise owners step up to Marriott standards and take care of the guests properly, but since that hasn't been required of the franchise owners in 4 years, doubtful it will even happen. When we asked the front reception about the sub-standard amenities (including the curtains with holes in them), we were told that the property is due for it's 7-year upgrade but that Marriott was passing it by. And THAT should affect the guests, why ???
- LaRonda (8/5): - We came far away for the jazz festival at the Thornton winery we arrived early the front reception was not so friendly! I asked if we can check into our room early she stated I will give you a call we waited, waited and waited no call back! I go back into the building ask the lady again if we can check in now she say no the rooms are still not available at this point I was already upset there was no accommodation at all we sat I. The car just waiting! Later I go in again about 3:30pm it’s a different reception lady there, I ask her if we can check in now she check for the rooms and said yes gave us our keys and told us where to go! The fact that we had to wait in the car all day and with little help was very sad not to mention it was very hot outside

- Verified traveler (8/5): Would visit again - Such a nice spot and not too far from the beach. Love the studio set up and homeliness it provides for the staycation. There was a minor ant issue in the bathroom but it wasn’t bad that there was a trail of them or more than a dozen. Aside from that, pretty clean and spotless.

- Lucias (10/5): A wonderful stay! - What a wonderful stay! So wonderful, in fact, that we extended it halfway through our first day. Service was amazing, location was ideal, and the accommodation was above expectation. We signed up for their rewards service and now want to try out their similar properties as much as possible now.

- Susan (6/5): - This hotel did not meet my standards for the price we paid. We had a very spacious and up-to-date bathroom, which was great, but the bed was located right by the air conditioning vent. When the air conditioning came on we were blasted with icy air while we were trying to sleep. The room itself was just OK – there was no dining room table, the sofa in the living room was not comfortable, and some of the kitchen pots and pans were not in great working order. I don’t plan to stay here again.
