Verified traveler (6/5): - I was disappointed. The room was very musty smelling. There was no tv even though online it did not say only certain rooms have a tv. There was a coffee maker but no cups so couldn’t use it. The bed mattress was horrible. The room was clean but other than that I wouldn’t go there again.
Verified traveler (4/5): - There is no facility staff. Did not see the office open once while I was there. There is no house keeping. You are given 1 towel per bed. The mattress must be over 30 years old. The one bed you couldn’t sleep on. There is WiFi that disconnects every 5 minutes. The shower cold water handle was broken as well as the sink handle. There is no overhead lighting in the room. I do not know what the cabins are like perhaps they are better. Location is good not far from downtown area. Overall was not a good experience. I would not recommend this place.

Fores (2/5): - No regular Tv poor WiFi they tell my room have two Queen Bed and one twin bed. Only have one Queen bed full air bed Nobody can to clean the room collected the garbage in the room if needed something you have pay.

There are some things that were good and some that were not - bed was comfortable, but pillows were not, some new furnishings inside and out, but other items were older, worn, etc. Fairly typical for a Lake George stay. We go to the area every year, so we expected that. I would have preferred that that cabin was cleaner. The surfaces were clean - sinks, shower, counters, bed linens, towels. Floors/carpets were not clean or vacuumed. With an early check out time and a late check in there is plenty of time to mop and vacuum. It was very nice to have our own grill and fire pit, though. And it's good for families - pool area and space for kids to run around. With a little more TLC, my rating would change. One thing, the service was very impersonal. It was strange - no interaction with guests even when just walking around the property. Office was only open for check in.

Marc (2/5): Do not stay here!!! - I don’t usually leave reviews on hotels but boy let me tell you something about this place..... The room was very dated and smelled like nothing but cheap Cologne to cover up whatever was going on in there... The bed was hard as a rock and the TV did not work. The bathroom had mold on the baseboard trim and smelled very musty, The air conditioning barely worked, very weak water pressure in the sink and shower and lukewarm water at the hottest setting. Me and my wife Spent as little time in the hotel room as possible due to these issues and I attempted to go to another hotel for our stay but everything else was booked up. This hotel was hands-down the worst place I’ve ever stayed at in all of my history of vacationing.
Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible place to stay! - Ill never been this cabin again, I just had a most terrible experience here. At first, when i came this place, i tried to call the service number, the line was engaged all the time. The room is fine, is clean, but it looks very old, and it has really bad smell. Thats ok. The most annoying thing is the air condition, it sound really loud, and its so old, I couldn't adjust it, the switch was broken, I couldn't even switch to low fan mode. The final thing is hard to connect to wifi, the wifi signal was really bad, I stayed for one night, I think i only use wifi for like 20 mins. This is the place ill never came to stay.

Fred (2/5): - Was told my reservation was for last month and that I had forfeited my 50% deposit as a "no-show." Also told they were completely full. I went to car (she thought I was leaving), got my printed reservation from Expedia and showed it to the lady. She looked at her computer and said again that the reservation was for last month - but that now (for some strange reason) they did have a cabin available - but for an additional charge. I protested, so she call the "out-of-town" owner. He ultimately agreed to let us stay in the cabin at no extra cost. Then place is a dump. It's not "rustic," it's "rundown." I think they are running some sort of bait and switch scam.

Eric (8/5): Pleasant, affordable, convenient, comfortable - Stayed here for a wedding at The Inn at Erlowest (.3 mi down the road). Accommodations were what i expected. Simple, clean, friendly service and amenities (pool, cookout area - which I didn't get to use.) Would avoid taking local area taxis since they charge you based on where the dispatcher sends them (which is in the center of town). I paid $16 for a cab ride that was not even 3 minutes. Go with Uber or Lyft if you can manage waiting a little longer.

Verified traveler (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay! - Our cabin was really cute and clean, and the staff were fantastic! It felt like we were in the woods, and yet just a five minute drive to town. The best of both worlds! KIds got a kick out of cooking hot dogs in the fire pit. It does get pretty chilly at night, so pack accordingly. Would go back for sure.

Verified traveler (10/5): The Perfect Getaway! - This cottage was the perfect place to go for peace and quiet. Removed from the hustle and bustle of town and tourist, yet close enought to fabulous restaurants and lake beaches. So many fun things to do. Zip Lining is a must! The Sagamore and a fantastic romantic restaurant with exceptional food. This is the perfect place for families as well as romantic getaways. I can't say enough good. Staff was beyond accomodating and friendly.

Camelia Wright (10/5): Nice clean cabins! - The owner and her mom Ann make us feel like home. The staff, Jimmy and the 3 student girls were more then great. They put together same more games by the pool for our kids, always with smiling faces, bring us a microwave, towels, extra sheets, firewood. This place is beyond expectation, quiet and clean. If you expect 5 star hotel, this is not your place. This is old "the cabin in the woods" the perfect place to make a fire, smores and barbecues!
John (8/5): Quick trip - The staff was incredibly friendly, the room was dated but very comfortable, great location for Lake George village either by trolley or car we will definitely stay again.
Theresa (10/5): - This place was wonderful, staff was great very welcoming. We checked in a little early the cabin was ready and perfect for a nice getaway, they have a great deck, fire pit and grill for each room. The pool is great, a lot of room to sit and hangout. They also have fire pits and grills out back for groups or lodge guest to enjoy. Cabin was spacious and kitchen setup was good had coffee pot, toaster, 2 burners, fridge and microwave. They sell wood at office and will deliver right to your site. They have done a great job fixing this place up and sounds like they going to keep going. So if you’re looking for relaxing weekend and nights by the campfire check this place out.

Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth $99 a night, even in peak season... - Everything was outdated, a/c didn't work, sheets were stained, noise from traffic was awful, lights over sink didn't work...
Verified traveler (4/5): Stuck in the "one night only" room - Our room was only barely remodeled, with fresh paint and clean countertops, but the carpet was frightening, the curtains were falling off their rods and worst of all, the old a/c wall unit did not work properly. Definitely feel we got "duped" on this deal. Never again.

James (8/5): Lake George - Good location, away from the main strip in the village, 6 mile trip into Bolton Landing. You get your own camp fire pit and charcoal grill if you stay in the cabin. It is along Route 9, but on a hillside which provides some privacy.

Verified traveler (6/5): Not going there again. - The good part was it was very close to the village, it didn't take us long to go and enjoy the attractions. However, i do NOT recommend this hotel. The bathroom was not upto the standards. The shower curtain fell off 3 times and the water went all over the bathroom from the shower. When we called to have it fixed she said we can try to fix it ourself and put it up or i'll fix it tomorrow morning. What?!?! Really?!? They did not even offer to come and clean up the wet bathroom floor. The tv was 500 years old. The AC and the heater was about 200 years old.( you do need the heater as it gets cold at night). The first night we literally shivered in cold. The bed was not at all comfortable. Not enough lights in the room. Next morning WE had to call them to request some soap. In short i'm going there again. Do not recommend this place

yvette (10/5): Nice cabinet away from the village - If you want quiet time forest hill is the place to go. Especially if you come from a big busy City environment. The staff are excellent. Attend to all your need. Going to the back of the place and wonder around the wood area. Burn a fire at night and eat barque outside on the Picnic table. A beautiful and clean pool to look at. Nice quiet place. Want action 5 minutes away from the busy village but fun as well. Thank you
janet (2/5): bad hotel - the fridge wasn't working, no microwave as promised, the room smelled like smoke, there was some ashes on the bathroom floor, the sink/bath tube drains were messed up, the tv remote didn't work, over all i would not stay there again.

There was a hole in the screen that would have let bugs in if my husband hadn't covered up the hole with a washcloth. We only spent one night, so we didn't check out the pool. The surrounding property was beautiful. I'd stay there again, but maybe in one of their rustic cabins.
Verified traveler (6/5): Rustic Motel - We arrived late after office hours and the receptionist left a key in a lock box for us which worked fine. and then we left early the next morning before the office was open so we put the key back in the box and called later that day to have them charge our card and it all worked out great since they have very limited office hours. The room was very clean but very out dated. we were happy with our very short stay.
