- Monique (8/5): Great location, walking distance to everything! - The hotel was close to everything. We enjoyed walking through downtown and not having to drive or find parking. The room was huge. I loved the big windows. The water was hot. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small. There is little hotel parking. We ended up parking in a public parking lot a block away and prayed we wouldn’t get towed.

And don't miss the fudge shop on the corner. Wish there were some more Swedish restaurants, but Bit O Denmark is the only one in town.

There was a lot of noise from the sidewalks and common areas well into the night. And the beds were very uncomfortable.

- Suen (7/5): Good value. - The hotel room is what I expected. The room is clean and bedding is nice and soft. Bathroom is clean. Since it’s ground floor and facing the street which is very convenient to places I was assigned room 1 which is on the ground floor facing the street. But there a wine bar and an upscale restaurant to the right. Which brings a lot of traffic both cars and foot. Which means it was noisy. Another thing is one of the mattress needs to be replaced because of some noisy springs. It squeaks from every movement.

- Becky (10/5): The convenience location - The privacy cleanliness and that it is just one block away from the main town in solving. When I called there was someone there to pick up and was able to check in my room a little bit earlier than 4:00 p.m..That was a plus, thank you.0 I would prefer to have a coffee pot in the room. It would have also been nice to have an extra roll of toilet paper and a new roll of paper towel.

There could be a night light in the bathroom, and a coffee maker, but they are not necessities.

- Manuel (10/5): Another excellent stay at Atterdag Inn - The clean and neat appearance and the jacuzzi tube ! Being in room 1 was a little noisy due to facing the street. Other than that excellent.

The bed was clean but there were dead bugs (silver fish/spider) in the closet and drawers. It was semi clean in the sense that you can tell they cleaned up but not a deep clean. They provided a wine tour guide with places for a 2 for 1 pour which was cool! Overall if you are looking for a semi-affordable prime location spot then I would recommend. They were also very great with responding!

- joewA9536YU (8/5): Pleasant Overnight Stay - My wife and i live in the Santa Barbara area and enjoy visiting Solvang a couple of times a year. Most recently we went there midweek to see a play at the Solvang Theaterfest ( dress warmly, evenings can get cold even mid summer), and booked a stay at the Atterdag Inn, which is conveniently close to the theater. Was a little concerned about no onsite desk, but things worked out fine - prompt affirmative text response regarding early arrival, and provided door key code was all we needed to self check into our room. The first floor room was nice, had everything we needed and would expect from a larger size hotel, and the midweek rate was very reasonable. Morning coffee and pastries are right across the street at Mortensens Danish Bakery. Pleasant overnight stay.
- Kim (9/5): Wonderful accommodations and location. - The inn was great! Easy access with keypad entry required no check-in or out. Suite was roomy and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Location was amazing with food and shopping right all around. Nothing negative.
- James (8/5): It was cool - The location is great. The access to your room is great, it was like a small studio apartment. Some dust bunnies on the floor near the bed and also some black stuff on one of our pillows kinda soured the sleep.
- Dog (5/5): the visit was great but the room was so so - proximity to the heart of the town was super - everything was accessable with in walking distance air conditioner worked great toilet was easily clogged - did not flush well we had #1 right on Atterdag St leaf blower and delivery trucks before 7 am lots of noise - no comfortable chairs in the room and no night tables primitive charging ports for electronic devices and the room had dust bunnies around the edges of the room and dusty over the table lamp - crummy in room coffee ( get a Keurig ) and the jetted tub was kind of worn and not squeeky clean -

Parking was a little confusing as we arrived very late in the night so could appreciate more instructions about parking. Water pressure in shower is good, also liked there was a tub to soak in. There were bugs, specifically earwigs. I found one by the ceiling, one behind my pillow (gross), and one by the edge of the bed. This contributed to not feeling comfortable, along with the windows. The curtains needed to be a bit wider, as it felt like anyone could peek in.

Much easier walk than the other hotels located at the edges of town. Rooms were large and had great amenities. Maybe an extra blanket?

- Kevin De (10/5): - My wife, baby, and I had a great stay in this nice, 8-room hotel in the heart of Solvang. The room was spacious and had a fridge and microwave. The owners were super responsive. We'd stay there again! The only thing I might note for others traveling with small kids is the sound. It's not noisy, but you can hear other guests walking around or talking outside. Just make sure to bring a white noise machine.
- Richard (7/5): Nice enough if you’re looking for a place close to the town’s attractions. - The location was great. Walking distance from all the stores and restaurants. Parking was nice and close. It was a noisy place but I was forewarned by some of the reviews. They do provide earplugs which is convenient. The walls are thin and you will hear guest talking in the adjacent room. With that said, I did sleep fine but my daughter felt the bunk bed was hard and uncomfortable. They have contactless check-in, which is fine, and provide an instruction sheet with the details. On that sheet they said they’ve included a wine-tasting passport as a gift. They must of forgot to provide it because it was nowhere to be found. They don’t provide daily maid service and that’s ok because I don’t mind reusing my towel. I just wish they would provide enough hooks or towel racks to hang 4 towels as they dry. They had one hook on the door and the main towel racks is above the toilet. If you hang it on that rack it will be in your face as you use the restroom. There was plenty of room to provide the hooks or rack. We had to use the shower curtain rod to dry our towels, which isn’t convenient when someone wants to take a shower.

- Noel (6/5): Great location, but not a great value - Walking distance to downtown shopping and dining. Great location! Jacuzzi tub deep/tall, so difficult to get in and out for shower. Only hand soap, no lotion. Shampoo/conditioner/bath wash in dispenser located in tub. Beds were small for two people (full size not queen or king). Expensive for 1 night stay, given lack of amenities and no one on sight. Needed to send texts or email to contact owners with questions.

- April (6/5): Pleasant - The location was ideal, it was nice to have parking. Loved the room and it had everything I needed. The window seat was the best part The room was not as clean as I would have liked. Having no staff is fine, using door codes was fine, but it was missing a little in person energy. Wasn’t sure what to do if I needed something or how exactly to ensure I was checked out.

- Gentry (7/5): Good - Location was superb and easy checkin. Right on the paarade route. Comfortable and clean and good parking. I'm mixed on the whole contactless checkin but it went smoothly. Felt it was too expensive for what it was. Not good value.

- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb - The property was extremely convenient Walking distance to restaurants and stores. The place is immaculately clean. Love this place . We had room #1 I would have given it a 10 except I had an issue with their “heater “. It made a very loud sound every time it turned on which kept up us awake all night long . I would recommend to change their heater systems it’s unbearable to listen to it I also want to recommend to change their curtains around the room . It’s nice but when you go outside you can “look” into the rooms especially at night . Suggest thicker Curtains for more privacy. I will still stay here in the future since it’s convenient and the process is very easy They text you “code “ and if you want your room cleaned just put in “maid service “ or privacy if not needed. Excellent place ! 🙏😢

- Scott (6/5): Served its purpose but overpriced. - Heart of downtown room was located directly on the street where all walking by can view inside. Including bathroom! Busy street with many onlookers and noise.
