Guest Reviews
Kein WiFi. Kein TV, der wurde, nach Anfrage montiert. Der Bohrstaub danach nicht mal beseitigt. In der Schublade lagen Kondomverpackungen. Das Frühstück war ein Witz. Unfassbar viel Geld für diese Unterkunft bezahlt. Es war ein Witz.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Swimming pool is great!
But the water coming out from the faucet is dirty . Food served are very limited and sometimes served the wrong order.
- Sara (2/5): A fuir ! - Hôtel à fuir ! Des cafards, impossibilité de ce laver les cheveux, pas de prises vers les lits, piscine sale, climatisation avec un bruit atroce, chambre salle .
Très loin du centre .
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel does not look like images.
Rooms are dated. Comfortable bed but bathroom is very small and dated. Rooms are clean.
Really poor wifi too.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Pool too small and not Wi-Fi
The facilities are too poor and the pressure in the bathroom is not good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place .We really liked the pool and the grounds .Staff was very friendly and helpful in booking our activities .
Would recommend .
- Edymar (10/5): - Excelente servicio , buena comida , lindo paisaje
- Tim (6/5): Disappointing - This place is tucked away well out of view which made it quite hard to find.
Will try makes this short but sweet:
Bad shower. Poor water pressure and you'll be lucky if you can get regular hot water.
Temperamental toilet. Will not flush properly (if at all) unless you can fill the bowl and on occasions conduct running repairs yourself.
No daily room cleaning, this must be requested at the front desk.
On a plus note, the location is great with stunning views of the bay.
Although this place is located a little way out of town it's only a short trike ride in which will cost a tourist around 50 peso. Otherwise there is a good handful of restaurants and bars within short walking distance.
Would I stay here again?
Not a chance.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Being on a beach was pretty much the only positive. Could probably find a similar place for a much cheaper rate when you get to El Nido.
- Kamil (10/5): Great staff ! - Beautiful views of the sea and sunset from the balcony, clean pool, breakfast menu to choose (Filipino, American, Continental, ..) Once we ordered dinner in the room and was good. Staff at the reception are very kind and competent! They helped us with a lot of issues, ordering the transfer to Puerta - picked us at the hotel, money exchange - ATM in downtown El Nido was empty, borrow money to tricycle :) coffee on request, luggage storage one night, staff behavior raises the level of the hotel! At the reception, we also ordered the Island Hopping Tour and the hotel boat in only 4 people and it was amazing! Visit the beautiful beaches and islands, snorkeling, where the number of times you are alone on the island. The captain could be cool to agree to any change of route. If I had to find some negatives - the hotel is right by the beach, which is not very suitable for swimming, water is still knee-deep 50 m from shore. For leisurely swim visit the nearby Las Cabanas beach, or take a trip to the beach 20km away is crammed with a meter waves. Around the hotel are dead in the night ..if you want dining or nightlife, you will have tricycle about 3km, or walk along the road about 40 minutes. Low preasure at shower. So summary - if you want to be at center stage, choose a hotel in the city center ... but if you want to relax, quiet, beautiful views, sunsets from the balcony, pool, private island hopping and great staff, choose this hotel. We love to come back!
- JENNIFER (6/5): Basic Hotel - I would really like to give this hotel a high score. Unfortunately, there are many reasons why I can't give a high score. Hotel Location - Because this is situated on the lower part of El Nido which is south of the downtown area, the beach is at a low tide ALL DAY. By early evening, there is tide. I know the timing does not do anyone good when you can't really enjoy the beach during the day when there is NO water. But, most people do island tours during the day anyway. In addition to hotel location, this is far from downtown. If you like to go to town, you have to get a tricycle and pay thirty pesos one way per person. Ride is only 10 mins. But walking is about 30 mins. Food On-Site - All hotels in El Nido offers FREE breakfast. It is not the culinary cuisine style, so expect the basic. As for lunch and dinner, I would recommend that you go to town. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Bed and Bathroom - The bed is very uncomfortable. The mattress is thin. I end up having lower back throughout the duration of my stay there. As for bathroom, there is hot shower, but the water pressure is very poor. It's like taking a shower in a primitive campground with no city water. Ambiance - there is a swimming pool. Unfortunately, it is NOT well-maintain. In fact, it is dirty most of the time. Bring earplugs. Customer Service - I would give them a 3 rating on this. Most of them are very nice and accommodating. They don't always have fresh coffee and too bland.
- E E (6/5): Older but waterfront. - Older but waterfront. Bit far from the activities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place,,,good service,,very kind staff - Nice place,very kind staff,,good service,,
- Stan (6/5): Bad location doesn't match map view -not near town - Very disappointed by booking. The location is very far from the main part of town but the map view of El Nido properties shows it on the edge of downtown which is the primary reason we booked the location - to be walking distance of everything downtown. Felt very much like bait and switch to get stuck so far away from the city especially with no regular tricycle serive - they call and you have to wait 10 or 15 minutes for a tricycle to show up.
- nhon (6/5): - Fair enough for a place to stay in. Anyway, the island tour is all that matters when you go to el nido. 😀
- Gary (4/5): hired a great photographer - If you want a beach or service this might not be the choice for you. The hotel condition was a let down but they were doing a lot of construction while we were there so it may improve in the future. The morale of the staff seems to be low, the owners live on site so you can probably do the math.
- Lawrence Williams (8/5): Nice hotel, private beach, little far from town - Nice hotel with a small private beach. Staff is hospitable and helpful. Breakfast is so so. Cooked to order, not a buffet. It did not really fill me up. Wi-Fi is a bit slow, but it works. It's a bit far from town to walk, but accessible within 15 minutes (including wait) by motorcycle taxi. The current hotels.com listing says it is located at these GPS coordinates : 11.183514,119.39325. However, upon arriving at the hotel, I found that it is located here at these GPS coordinates : 11.161567, 119.398107, which is outside the El Nido town. So hotels.com listed it on the map incorrectly. Be advised that this is not near the town. It would take about an hour to walk there. Other than the incorrect map location (not the hotel's fault), I was pleased with the hotel.
