- Rosalee (6/5): - Room was very tired looking, bathroom had a lot of mold around the sink connecting it to the bench. Stains on the bedspread & a towl provided had dirt marks on it even though it was folded up. Beds were extremely hard. We had a lot of noise during the night, some traffic, but mostly inconsiderate guests having a party even though we overheard reception telling them it wasnt ok. Overnight stay only so we managed, but i wouldnt return. Even drop off/parking was a big problem.

- Simone (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Clean and excellent if you want to save money. The reception does not represent the state of the rooms, was pleasantly surprised. Very helpful check in and closed to several supermarkets and Burger King.

The breakfast was always cold even though it was sitting in warmers, not a great selection for the "buffet" advertised and certainly didn't help that everything was always cold.

- Abdulkadir (2/5): Worst customer service - Horrible, I arrived early 7:45AM and whether it’s tru or not he couldn’t find my reservation and waited for 45 minutes and only when I decided to call Hotels.com and I am on the phone he told me he found my reservation. Then he started to play time game he said the house keeping not come yet wait until 8:30 waited then checked every 30 minutes nothing and I saw him givin another Indian a room this place is total run by Indians I don’t who owns but very unprofessional. He asked please wait and asked me if I want to drink now time is 9:55 and I said yes off course a lady brought me a class of orange juice, finally I got my room 10:55. The room had bad odor and I asked the door man who was helping me my luggage offered Airfreshener. The rug in the room was too old and since I am staying only overnight because my next flight was early next morning I didn’t bother to ask another room. Then next morning when I was checking out the same guy who offered me the drink asked me to pay 16DRH about $5.00 for the juice I had yesterday morning and I said what? How I pay a drink I didn’t ask and a drink you offered and didn’t know how much it’s going to cost me? I refused to pay the he called the manager and we both told our story first the manager couldn’t make decision he looked at me and I repeated my strongest refusal finally after minutes back and forth and started to move my way out the manager decided to let me go. I travel a lot and I have never had such bad customer service.

- Abdullahi (2/5): - BEDBUGS! My stay was for 4 night but only spend 3 nights there because i found bedbugs in my bed full of blood. They been feasting on my blood and when i shown them they were not bothered like this was normal. They asked me if i wanted to stay in the same room or change room. I was shocked. I'm sorry but i wasn't going to stay other night and asked refund for last night but the refused. I checked out and when i come back i will be speaking with expedia.As a customer we deserve better.

It was worth staying in this hotel We are satisfied with the overall service, crews are all friendly Room was comfortable and clean
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - When we arrived no room was ready for us, however the hotel staff did not tell us that they just told us to have a seat while they processed our check in. After waiting for 20mins we asked what was happening and that was when we were told the room was not ready but wouldn’t be long. Another 45min waiting and we finally had a room. Room was fine but the hotel is tired and could use a renovation. Each day they would also only give us one towel for two people and we had to ring to request a second one each time.

Interesting fact-there are tea/coffee sachets and little kettle but...no cup/mug/glass-I made a coffee frappe in the plastic bottle :) Bathroom with a tub,loved it! There's minibar but...empty :)
- martin (10/5): nice hotel close to union metro station - the room was very spacious and well appointed in contemporary style, like a 3 star hotel in western country. The hotel is walking distance from union metro station and al ghurair shopping mall.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Totally unacceptable! - I arrived at the hotel at 17:00 which three hours past their sit time for Check-in, even then they (hotel staff) did not have a room available for me to chick into. After a bit of whispering the reception staff member said to the concierge "room 703 is ready". I made my way to the room only two find two hotel workers doing something to the TV, they were as shocked to see guest arriving as I was seeing them, they quickly used a bath towel to dry the bathroom floor and left. Bed linen was not clean and looked scruffy. I expressed my concerns to the staff and they offered no help at all. I decided to check out at 22:15 and find somewhere else to stay the night.

- Shey (8/5): At home - My stay in Lavender Hotel is so nice that I stayed in my room for longer period of time than outside. Usually I come in hotel rooms very late and leave early the next day for touring but this time I took my time and linger in bed cos I feel comfy. Everthing is accessible: transport, malls, resto... The only thing I noticed was the towels that have seen better days. Mine has fringes at the edges already and I wonder how many guests it has serviced yet. I will definitely come back here when I visit Dubai sometime in the future. Thanks!

- Neil (8/5): Good value in a convenient location. - Overall a good value hotel in a reasonable part of Dubai. Its close to the Creek and tube station. Hotel seems paranoid about customers leaving without paying and asks to retain your passport during your stay (bit odd considering they have your credit card details). Also room was only serviced after 2 days following my repeated requests to reception.

- Ka Lun (8/5): Good stay - Didn't really know where to stay in Dubai but thought the city centre in Deira would be a good shout. The hotel wasn't as big as I expected but it was great for food around and relatively close to tourist sites in the old city. Big plus for being super close to metro and 10 mins to airport.
- Edward (8/5): Very good hotel for the price - I was pleased with this hotel, especially for the price. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious. Cleanliness was good. Just be sure to put the sign out for them to clean because I didn't the 1st night and they didn't come by until after 6pm; next day was fine. Check-in took a few minutes as it took her a bit to find the booking, but check-out was very quick. Wifi was a good speed--not the quickest I had in the area, but not slow either. About a 9-min. walk to the nearest metro stop, but plenty of restaurants and a mall in closer walking distance.
- Mohammad (10/5): Great choice for location. Good Hotel. - Had a good experience overall. The only downside was in the service, which was a little slow. Had to make several requests for tea making facilities before they arrived. However the staff were friendly. I Was disappointed in their visitors policy. Guests visiting you in your room was not allowed and if they did at a push it was limited to 1 hour. The breakfast was good compared to most other 3* hotels. Wifi was a bit annoying as you had to enter a new password in everyday. But all in all I would definitely recommend this hotel and use it again.
