- Ian (10/5): The best Yellowstone location. - The check in experience was amazing. We felt like royalty having a private tour of the Ranch and the facilities upon arrival. The staff were amazing, they gave us some useful insider tips on seeing wildlife around the park. Special mention to Carl who greeted us on our arrival and made us feel right at home. The facilities and Location were exceptional, and we were able to see wildlife right from our balcony, and cosy up with s'mores and cup of tea round a fire in the evening.
Easy access Into the park, the furthest point from us in Yellowstone park was Lamar valley, this was around 2.5 drive, however, most of the other attractions were on the west side of the grand loops, around a 30 min drive. What ever the weather you will love it here. Nothing at all, it was perfect, a real luxury experience
- Martina (10/5): Breathtaking setting next to Yellowstone - Amazing place, amazing views, very close to West Yellowstone entrance. Absolutely recommended if you don’t want to stay in the park. It looks like a movie, really unreal. One room was too hot despite we kept the window open and the heating off.

- Jolie (10/5): - The cabin was beautiful and decorated so cozy. the cabin had a smell of warmth and wood that really accentuated the atmosphere. all of the employees were pleasant and helpful with any request. the location was perfect being only 10-15 minutes away from the town of west Yellowstone. the surrounding area was absolutely stunning. we could not ask for a better stay.

- Judy (10/5): I would definitely stay here again! And I’m picky - It was an amazing property! Super pet friendly and the staff was amazing A little far from downtown

- GIORGIA (9/5): Location e struttura da film! - Ranch bellissimo, staff accogliente e simpatico.
- Petra (9/5): Cute property with great amenities close to the park - Nice property, great location for entry into Yellowstone from the west. Great amenities in the common areas, restaurant, beautiful views and surroundings. Attentive staff. Cabins a little bit basic, but nice and clean. Pricey - but that's Yellowstone in high season for you.
- Marco (10/5): - Struttura perfetta in tutto , staff cordiale
Ristorante vicino perfetto
Servizio impeccabile
Consiglio vivamente
- Paola (9/5): - Room and fireplace, free coffee and s’mores! Dimmer was good, but a little expensive
- Lynda (8/5): It was very nice ! - Loved the ranch style and the cabins Nothing it was great
- Jose Manuel (9/5): - Quiet, idyllic location. Close to National Park entrance. Great shared facilities. Welcome from staff. Extra sofa bed was uncomfortable
- Mark (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the Bar N Ranch! The surrounding scenery was spectacular!

- Cecilia (9/5): Wish we had longer here - Convenient for west yellowstone entrance, great facilities (space and fly fishing demo)
- Holly (6/5): - Beautiful lodge & area. Staff was not the best. Check in desk lady got distracted. I was at the desk checking in & then she started checking in another group. Weird. She had my credit card info even though paid in full but then pretty much hunted me down & reached out to my friends in the party asking about a credit card in case we ate room snacks or whatever & then later apologized (at least) since she already had my credit card. It was embarassing. I went to have breakfast the next morning in the mostly empty restaurant. I asked to sit at a window table. Hostess said no those tables were for larger groups. I asked to sit at the bar (bar seats were close to the window). She said no since no breakfast served at the bar. We ended up getting to go breakfast comtainers & sat at the picnic tables outside. It was all pretty ridiculous in a near empty restaurant..Amazing lodge resort but staff is untrained, not professional & downright silly.

- Raoul (9/5): Overall great stay - recommended! - Very friendly staff. Small but good pool (hot tub was out of order). Variius activities, complimentary smores, etc. Cosy main house. Beds were ok, but not great (bit springy).
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cl (7/5): Good - Convenient location. Nice western ambiance. Bathroom while clean was in need of renovation.
Noise carries from room to room.
- danielle (10/5): - Beautiful place. Nice and quiet. Felt the Montana atmosphere!
- Ludovica (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ldjow (10/5): The perfect spot to stay near West Yellowstone - we loved it! - We loved our stay at Bar N Ranch. We stayed in a Cabin Studio with Queen (the smallest cabin) - the only option they had available for our dates and I was a little concerned that it would be too small but it was perfect for myself and my husband. The bed was comfortable (plenty of room either side too - some of the photos I'd seen seemed to show it against a wall, which was not the case at all) and the cabin had everything we needed. The bathroom was small, but again, had everything that we needed. We particularly loved sitting out on the verandah of our cabin with a drink after the long days exploring Yellowstone and later toasting marshmallows for smores (we met some really lovely & interesting people). We chose to eat at the onsite restaurant every evening for the 4 nights we were there and the food was excellent - really good choice with the daily specials, delicious and high quality. The location was excellent for exploring Yellowstone - we found that the West Entrance was really great for easy access to all areas of the park (we left early in the morning to avoid the queues and got into the park really easily). We also really loved coming "home" to Bar N Ranch at the end of the day... we're so happy that we chose to stay here rather than anywhere in the park itself. Big thank you to Richelle who gave us such a warm welcome and also to Mel & the restaurant team. The basin in our bathroom was quite small but it wasn't really a problem at all.
- Nicola (10/5): Absolutely LOVED our stay at Bar N Ranch - We LOVED Bar N Ranch!!
The staff are awesome.. very friendly and helpful.
The amenities and activities were fabulous!
Rooms were cozy and so comfy.
We didn’t want to leave!!
- Toni (8/5): Very good -
- Jereme (10/5): I would stay here again and recommend to anyone to stay here. - Clean, well kept property. Older building but very nice.
- Yuval (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- craig (10/5): - Unique property, very nice staff, wonderful grounds and the restaurant and bar was very good!
- Ireland (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff, beautiful views, quaint room Hot tub not working
- Bob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brad (9/5): Superb -
- Smith (7/5): Good - The communication ahead of time was very good and the location was great. There were some fun options like s’mores and live music but unfortunately we didn’t have time to take advantage of any of them. It was a great location! We had booked for 3 adults 3 kids, but the pullout couch wasn’t prepared and there was no bedding for it. There were not enough towels either. One of the blinds was broken and there were no blinds in the bathroom, which made taking a shower uncomfortable.
- Crystal (10/5): - Loved the property should of stayed more than 1 night
- Linzi (10/5): Exceptional - the interior design is amazing and the location is pretty convenient
- Karen (7/5): Good - lovely views from the room, great to have access to tea and coffee very expensive considering we had a small room, the hanging space was above the fridge, not a lot of room for suitcases, due to a birds nest above the door to verandah the door had to open over a pile of bird poo, it was disappointing after seeing photos and reading others reviews
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Alexandre (9/5): Superb - Quiet place with an amazing view. Perfect location to access Yellowstone NP (10-15min away). Restaurant nearby is a plus if you want to stay on the property. We had good dinners and breakfasts. Friendly staff. Dusty room and no trails around the property for short walk
- Richard (1/5): Disappointed - The setting , the concept ! The staff were nice young and inexperienced? Old worn out bathrooms hardware old style short nasty stained toilets from wear and tear , faucets were old and not easily to regulate temp !
- Felix (10/5): Exceptional -
- sheila (10/5): - Great spot ~ easy check in and very friendly. Looking forward to our stay.
- Yamaris (2/5): - I have reserved and paid through Expedia.
When arrived to the hotel, there was no availability. A room was assigned but it was dirty, disorganized and with someone's belongings, like it was already occupied.
Therefore the reservation was canceled and the manager agreed to make a refund. However instead of a refund, they make a charge to my credit card.
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Ashley (9/5): A great stay - Beautifully decorated & lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for you. They were very attentive and friendly. The areas to sit outside are abundant and lovely you can be spaced out from other guests if you want The smores kits were set out too long and the marshmallows were hard
- Phoebe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alice (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Lovely - Disappointed that we booked too early for dining Wish we had been able,to.go,horseback, riding, however, we were given a printout of stables somewhat nearby
- Roberto (10/5): - .
- Allan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanna (10/5): Jest - It’s a perfect place. Hosts are amazing, cottages are clean and cosy. Everyday there is a fireplace available to prepare smores ❤️ and to talk with other guests. Beautiful atmosphere- my Best memory from US.
- Petit (6/5): Pleasant - The rustic accommodations and the proximity to west Yellowstone. Breakfast was excellent and waiter was friendly. Needed a deep cleaning. It was fairly clean but cobwebs everywhere. No attendant at desk when we arrived and even called and texted the number on sign but no response. The overhead fan didn’t work. The battery operated fans didn’t help since dead batteries. They should check after each stay or leave extras in the room. Didn’t realize until late at night and given experience at front desk, didn’t think it was worth asking.
- Dianne (10/5): We will be back!! - Breakfast was AMAZING! I loved Rons specials, and Christian was so very friendly and professional. Everyone was wonderful. :-) The weather was perfect fall blue and cold... but that meant the pool area was closed. We would have loved to use the hot tub.
- Dariusz (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, clean rooms, quiet are, perfect base to visit Yellowstone National Park. I particularly recommend getting out of the house at night, and look at the night sky, it’s magnificent. Unforgettable. Nothing, we were really happy there.
- Kathy (8/5): Comfortable room with scenic surrounds - Very quiet room and location. beautiful surrounds. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great shared area downstairs. Great verandah at rear of room. For the price, complimentary breakfast would have been great.
- Mona (10/5): Lovely ranch, delicious meals, and friendly attentive staff. - Away from the hustle and bustle of West Yellowstone but close proximity to the park. It’s remote and also just lovely.
- Gassmann (7/5): Good -
- Walentin (9/5): Superb -
- Jade (8/5): Gorgeous place but pricey for what you get - A beautiful property in a beautiful setting. The welcome from the reception staff was warm and lovely.
A 10 min drive from West Yellowstone and 15ish mins to the National park gates. We really enjoyed west Yellowstone - a lovely little town. We booked this property for a few reasons but one of the main reasons was the facilities - on site restaurant, pool, hot tub etc. Unfortunately they were all closed for our stay. The availability of these facilities should be made clear at time of booking.
The property has very thin walls unfortunately - we could literally hear the room next door flushing their toilet, coughing etc. We also had a lot of noise from above - it sounded like a heard of elephants. As a result we did have disturbed sleep. Maybe carpets/rugs would help a little with this.
Complementary coffee & tea is available but unfortunately every time we had some, it was cold.
This probably sounds very negative - we did really enjoy our stay but the things outlined above are a shame and they do lessen the value - the stay felt expensive for what it is.
- Jackie (7/5): Was lovely and close to West Yellowstone entrance. Main building was stunning. Beautiful location. - Great location. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was very good Cabin had a lot of cobwebs!!
- Lillie (10/5): - Ranch stay with excellent service
- Martin (7/5): Probably would not stay again only because of the smoke smell but the concept is cool! - The location was central to the south rim of Yellowstone. The cabin was super cute. The general idea is neat and the lodge is amazing! The constant smell of smoke from camp fires. It was flowing throughout our cabin and it burned our eyes and made it hard to breathe. The hot water does not last in the shower either. Other than that the bed was super comfortable! The living area and sink and shower are a little outdated. So for the price it is a little high.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carrie (10/5): Definitely would love to stay again. - Breakfast was excellent.
Location was just a few minutes outside of West Yellowstone.
- daile (10/5): West Yellowstone gem - Amazing stay ! Coming from Yellowstone it was perfect. Really felt like being in the west. Hospitality was awesome! Room was decent. Clean for sure- bathroom could have been better but did not make us regret our choice to stay here.
Thank you
- Terry (10/5): fantastic! plan on returning - the staff and view were fantastic! need an extra blanket to wrap up with on the sofa
- Ellen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (8/5): I would return. But the guest room is very small and 2people would not be comfortable in the space. - Above average and fresh.
- Matthew (7/5): We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone looking. We enjoyed the undercanvas tent and firepl - Bed was comfortable and the view was great. Great room was beautiful! There was a nail sticking out of the wood around the tub/shower. Also no drain stop in the bathroom sink. Also no light around the couch/ dresser area. Would have liked coffee set out earlier for those of us who get an early head start. No creamer in the rooms.
- Alan (9/5): Superb - The authentic look of a large ranch in Montana, with all the comforts of home. Extremely friendly staff, and a wonderful atmosphere and ambience. The bed did creak a lot and did make a noise.
- Lisa (10/5): Beautiful place to stay! - What a wonderful spot! Beautiful views, we had a room that opened to a balcony. Kind, helpful staff that welcomed us and made us feel at home. They even have fire pits lit at night and smores. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet and remote. We will be back!
- Pharmville (10/5): Excellent ranch stay that is a must-do on your Yellowstone trip - WOW we are so glad we included a place like this to stay as part of our Yellowstone trip. The way that the ranch is set back from the highway surrounded by cattle highlights the beauty of the West Yellowstone surrounding areas. The lodge is gorgeous and full of small details to enhance the stay for the guest. From free postcard mailing service to smores kits, it was fantastic. Our cabin had a beautiful view of the pond and gave off a rustic but chic vibe. We had one minor inconvenience with our key not easily opening the lock on our door. Staff was helpful but it wasn't fixed during our stay.
- Stephanie (10/5): We will return to BNR! - Literally everything. Location, facilities, activities, cleanliness and the staff was exceptional! Not a thing!
- Lenneke (10/5): The perfect stay in West Yellowstone - Such a lovely place close to Yellowstone NP. The staff was welcoming and the facilities endless. They have thought about every single thing. An amazing place.
- jeani (10/5): - The perfect place to stay in Yellowstone!
- James (6/5): - The restaurant menus was too upscale for me.
- Thomas (10/5): Beautiful lodge and location. - Beautiful lodge and location. We stayed in the lodge not the cabins so I can’t speak to the cabins. The lodge was really nice and the room 6 had amazing views from the porch for sunrise. Firepit at night for s’mores and it was near zero light pollution so it was excellent for stargazing. Restaurant was short walk and that was also very good as well.
- Ruth (10/5): A wonderful place to stay on the edge of the park - From the moment we arrived at the ranch we were made t feel as if we were not only valued customers, but that we were VERY welcome. The staff could not have been better - every single staff member we came into contact with is worth their weight in gold, they were so friendly, so helpful and seemed genuinely interested in us. The main lodge is INCREDIBLE and we felt so comfortable just sitting reading, or playing games in the outdoor space. The free 'Smores (yes, they really are free) were a brilliant touch and the cap fires are wonderful to sit around after a day in the park.
We were in on the the cabins and whilst small, they had everything we could need. the bed was super comfortable and the show was hot and plentiful. You could park the car right outside and there was even a grill outside the cabin you could use if you wanted (they even let us use some crockery & cutlery!)
We did eat in the restaurant - and sadly this was NOT of the same standard. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant itself was great - but the food was the blandest and most expensive of our holiday. Expectation sadly did not match reality. the restaurant food sadly really let the restaurant down - we loved the staff, they tried their hardest, but the food was bland, expensive and not very well cooked
- Kelly (8/5): We love the property - wish we had stayed in cabin. Hard to sleep with aforementioned ghosts. - Iconic location in cool western setting where lodging mostly consists of KOA’s and overpriced motels Haunted but I see ghosts. Everyone else didn’t.
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional - They were very friendly, and the restaurant on location was great.
- Wendy (8/5): Enjoyed stay, food too expensive - Comfortable Food too expensive and service a bit slow
