Guest Reviews
A fuir.
- Florian (10/5): - Tout était parfait
- George (10/5): Good for an overnight stop travelling in France - The hotel is very good for an overnight stop when travelling by car in France. It has everything you need for such a stopover. The room is and bed are comfortable. It was very quiet in the room so it was possible to have a good night sleep. The breakfast is basic but was adequate for us. There are restaurants within walking distance for an evening meal.
- alexiade (10/5): - Very warm welcome by the receptionist and her lovly, ell behaved dog!
- Shahnez (10/5): Très bon hôtel. - Très bon accueil, chambre propre. Bon petit dej varié. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Je recommande
- Andrew (10/5): - Great stop over hotel for getting the channel tunnel. Does exactly what you want - clean beds and a good shower!
- Andrew (8/5): - Good, efficient stop-off
- Peter (10/5): - Great for a one night stay while driving through Europe
- Andrew (10/5): - Does exactly what it says on the tin. A value option for a brief overnight stay. Car park is quite small and filled up quickly.
- Vitali (4/5): - It needs a complete refurbishment, no lock on the toilet, loads of damaged areas, aircon is noisy and blowing very moistured air. The hotel smells bad the room in particular. Floor never seen the mop for a good while. Disappointed.
- Andrew (10/5): Overnight stop - Used the hotel as a late night stop over on our way South. Good parking, arrived late but 24 hour intercom to hotel staff worked very well. Room comfortable and ideal for stop over. Breakfast excellent as were the staff in the morning.
- Alistair (2/5): - We arrived late at night. Reception was closed, but there was a machine to check in digitally. Unfortunately, I hadn't been given the booking number, so I had to wait for 10 minutes until someone picked up the phone to give me the number.
Then we got into the room and the air conditioning was completely non functional. It is set to 19 degrees, but the current temperature is 26.
- caron (8/5): - Overnight stay on way to Italy. Clean, reasonably sized rooms, usual B & B hotel standards.
- Callum (10/5): - Excellent. I liked the self checkin, even the automatic up sell for the breakfast. My room was very neat, tidy and clean. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, blackout curtains, nice tv and it was easy to park. Breakfast was great btw. I’d stay again.
- Sara H (6/5): Just sleep and run - The automated checkin was awful and I was sent the wrong reservation number. I had to call twice for help till finally he gave me the correct reservation number. It took me 45 mins at night with tired kids to get into the hotel.
- Jonathan (6/5): - It’s cheap and it had a bed. The breakfast was very poor and they have automated as much of the service as possible. If you arrive out of hours, you can check in but have to walk to the hotel to do so before going back to type in the code to get into the car park which is quite inconvenient late at night.
- Jean-Frederic (10/5): Sejour parfait !
- Ludovic (8/5): - Proches zones commerciales
- Paul (4/5): A nightclub in your room - We arrived around 9pm, the access drive to the hotel was partially blocked by multiple cars. Our room was small, but fine for a night's sleep, before continuing our journey.
As the evening progressed, the thumping base music from the new nightclub behind the hotel got steadily louder. We were kept awake until 12.30, presumably when the club closed. The heavy base sound even penetrated my earplugs.
I have used this hotel for over 5 years with no problems like this.
I will not be using it again.
- Paul (8/5): - Decent stop on route to the alps
- Nicholas (2/5): Long wait for actiom! - Access code not.recognised waited.20mins for them to answer phone!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Arrived at 20.50, car park closed which is too early. Where you have to park outside gate to then go to retrieve your code is a muddy dirty completely unlit path.i felt very unsafe and could not see anything. Older people must really struggle here. Once at the check in machine it was filthy and the area was grotty and also unlit- I had to use my phone torch. The machine was slow to respond - a staff member passed and did not help. He said the car park closed at 9, despite it clearly already being closed. He could see I was in distress and couldn’t see well but did not help me. The following morning at 06.45 the code would not work on the gate (which should by now have been open) and the staff member did not even apologise, she just went to a screen and told me to ‘go now’. She was very rude..The hotel itself is old and tatty but passable although there is apparently no lift. There is an unpleasant smell in the communal areas and lobby.
- Anna (10/5): - A good hotel to spend the night if you're on your way to Calais or on your way to the South of France.
- James (8/5): - Does what it says on the tin.
- Jonathan (10/5): Perfect for 1 night - Good comfortable one night stop over travelling back to uk short drive to Calais.
Supermarket and takeaways near by
- Mary (10/5): Best Hotel BB we have stayed in - Best Hotel BB we have stayed in. Room and bathroom huge- very clean!
If being really picky, it would be good to have a few picnic tables outside.
There is a bar next door and a huge quality Auchun opposite.
- karine (10/5): - Sejour convenable
Porte trop lourde donc trop de bruit
Impossible de faire la grasse matinee
- Dale (2/5): - Room49 woken since 7am by noises from incosiderate peopleroom above incapable of lifting chairs rather than scraping them against floor!!!!. Like sleeping in a cardboard box.
Very poor room design - huge 'hallway' but small double bed in rest of room! Bed would have been better against wide open back wall
- Richard (2/5): Room's ok but security is poor, van broken into - The hotel is fine, our issue was security. Our van was broken into whilst in the car park, with 3 bikes stolen not on view and 2 other vans also broken into with tools taken. No perimiter fence so thieves go through the bushes and no cctv. After investigation this has happened multiple times before. So not such a great place to stop to or from the alps. If you need to stop here take everything to your room and leave your vehicle open, or they will destroy yor van just for a look.
- Siobhan (10/5): - Great hotel for a stop over.
- MYRIAM (8/5): Bon séjour - Bon sejour
Borne reservation a revoir
- Patrick (6/5): - no shopping nearby
Conclusion nous n'avons pas dormi.
- Donna (10/5): - Great place for a stopover, cheap and convenient
- MYRIAM (10/5): Bon sejour - Bon sejour
- George (6/5): - We booked two triple rooms. Both were clean and spacious but one room smelled very badly of cigarettes (94). The previous guest must have been smoking in the room. Otherwise it was fine, we just stayed the one night.
- Simon (10/5): - Great stop on way back from Alps. Breakfast easy and great supermarkets close by. Parked car and walked to restaurant in town. Simple and easy.
- Ben (6/5): - Functional and.close to motorway. The self.check.in system does,.however leave a.lot to be desired with the payment link - rejected payments on multiple cards with no explanation.
- Gregor (8/5): - Good place close to Highway!
- MELISSA (8/5): - Fine for an overnight stay. Restaurants, supermarket and petrol stations very close by. Hotel is a bit tired. Excellent breakfast and they even have a toaster (not something usually found in France). Receptionist was helpful with great English.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Parfait bonne qualité. Désormais ce sera chez vous
- Philip (6/5): - Easy access frim the motorway. Inclusive breakfast. Acceptable room and facilities. Private secure parking area. Limited space in car park. Diffucult to gain entry late at night becsuse instructions are not clear. Limited lighting around the building at night masking potential trip hazards.
- Mark (8/5): - Room clean but basic - no frills. Decent choice at breakfast. Convenient for ferry. Good value for money.
- Darren (10/5): - Comfy bed
Simple helpful check in
- Kate (8/5): - Good stopover convenient location to the motorway. Comfy bed.
Unfortunately room not a non smoking room
- Deborah (10/5): - Very helpful and cheery receptionist checked us in and guided us to the nearest bar! Basic but comfortable and spotless room which provided great accommodation for us and the dog. Highly recommend to anyone in the Saint Quentin area.
- Astrid (10/5): Nice clean room - We asked if we could get a room on the ground floor as we have a baby and the receptionist was more than accommodating and got a travel cot for us.
- Brenda (10/5): - Usually always good but this time room lacked a bedside light on one side. Not had that problem before and not the end of the world but useful none the less when reading. Room 59
- Susan (10/5): Five star service - Superb Check in, spotless, comfy room, easy to find and free parking. Would use again. Five star service!
- Rachel (8/5): - Very easy to check-in, spacious & clean, good breakfast. Only snag was we couldn't seem to get a properly hot shower, but didn't have time to seek help from staff as we were leaving early to hit the road.
- Verified traveler (8/5): ood overnight stop - Comfortable overnight stop. Very clean. Late access was a bit difficult, could do with a light on keypad.
Good bakery close by.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very clean but it was SO NOISY! Had a terrible might sleep. HD stayed previously and was nowhere near as bad. The automatic check in was clear either and the phones assistance guys weren’t that helpful...
- Fiona (8/5): Ideal stop over - A stop off after the crossing. Easy to find, clean and ideal for one night.
- Stephen John (10/5): Excellent t stopover - Excellent he'd and wonder breakfast, even had scrabbled eggs and bacon. Clisr to motorway and large hyoer market.
- Verified traveler (10/5): B & B hotel. St Quentin - We arrived around 10pm. Easy access via computer screen in entrance. Room and bathroom clean, comfy beds, good shower. Scrambled eggs and bacon, plus usual continental breakfast. Will definitely use again. We have tried other, cheaper hotels in St Quentin and Gauchy. This is the best so far😀
- James (10/5): Perfect stopover hotel from Calais, friendly team. - Overnight stop on our way south. Arrived about 2200 and used the automatic code provided which gave us a door and room code which was simple and quick. Room was clean and kids found it comfy although I found the mattress hard hence the poor score (subjective). Breakfast was yummy, staff friendly and would happily stay again on our next trip. Located close to the motorway and a major shopping centre.
- Michael (4/5): Be warned about automated check in. Shambles! - Check in is ridiculousl. Only after I booked the hotel were we told that reception is not manned all day and we had to check in using a computer screen and machine outside that would be more suited to a car park! Attempted to check in to be told that we needed to pay for the rooms in spite of paying for the rooms in advance and having confirmation emails. Had to press a help button and spoke to someone in Paris who told me nothing had been paid for and I needed to pay and try to get a refund. Only by luck after about 30 minutes someone turned up at the hotel and she was able to check us in and confirmed we had already paid. Total shambles!! In fairness the beds were comfortable and the rooms were OK for what you have to pay. Breakfast was horrible. Ice cold eggs, a bit of bread and cool, coffee. I should have gone to McDonalds!
- john (6/5): Remote St Quentin - Room was a reasonable size but not well appointed with spaces which could have benefited from a case rack, more table space, rearranged hanging space and two chairs as there was ample room for these facilities. Location was near a shopping development and motorway.
- Kieren (6/5): - They wrote the wrong access code for my room on the ticket. After a lot of faffing about someone came out and gave me the correct code.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient for travelling and close to restaurants
- Martin (8/5): Good for an overnight stopover - Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay while driving to the south of France. Basic but clean and convenient for the motorway.
- carla (10/5): Good overnight stop - Room was spacious, clean and quiet!
Just right for an overnight stop on the way home.
Can recommend the breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great value and convenient - Would use this hotel and chain again. The best value hotel I have ever used
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Just the right distance to calais after the previous days tiring drive
- Justine (10/5): Good overnight stop - Overnight stay en route to Italy. Everything was just fine and very easy to find once coming off the autoroute.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good budget hotel - Hotel good for overnight stop on way back from family ski trip. Several options for dinner in local vicinity.
- Kirsteen (10/5): St Quentin B&B - Excellent hotel for an overnight stopover. Quiet, comfortable and a very good size of room for a family of 4. Plenty of space.
- Erwan (4/5): Good hotel but big parking problem after 10 pm - Great hotel and staff - however not one single car park place available for 4x4 car on holiday break). security barrier broken, very tight , No u-turn possible, hôtel packed, had to come out in reverse. disappointing and enraging as booking form required specifically you to ask for a car park space . Seems that the parking can support 50 percent of the total room ???? Never experience this before and had to park on the competitor car park on the other side.
