The room was on the second floor above the entrance; was large with king size bed and private bathroom. Very nice.! What would make it better is if they offered breakfast for their guests. Unfortunately that is not offered at this time; only on the weekends. This is clearly spelled out on their website. So no surprise. If we ever come to Glouster in the future we would definitely use the Castle Manor Inn again. Thank you!

When we arrived, John provided recommendations for nearby dining for dinner. The room was clean and suited our needs. Moreover, the dining staff at breakfast answered all our questions and provided excellent, attentive service.

A special mention goes to John at the front desk—he was OUTSTANDING. From the moment I arrived, he went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and taken care of. His warmth and professionalism really elevated my experience. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for a serene, beautiful, and memorable stay, this is it!

• Patricia (4/5): - The website is very misleading.We booked a trip to Gloucester Massachusetts for our 20th wedding anniversary. This was a suggested place to stay. Only pictures shown is from the Castle Manor Inn. Not the wing extensions that we stayed in, that's not mentioned at all on the site. To charge $200 for a room that is probably only worth $80. Old outdated rooms, musty, very hard bed, took forever to get not so hot water. Then to mention about enjoying a "FREE" breakfast that wasn't free, but was charging $25 per plate. Very dissappointed with our stay and unfortunately will not be staying there again. And if I can get some kind of a refund on our room, unfortunately we will not go through Expedia again.

We also needed some recommendations for the area and were very surprised to have such great waterfront dining and drinks nearby. The room was clean and loved the memory foam bed and dual shower. Grounds were beautiful and property was close to beaches and downtown's attractions. Overall, I’d stay again and recommend to friends & family.

The room was comfortable and clean but a challenge to find outlets for charging. We would definitely stay here again.

• James (10/5): Definitely recommend! - Overall, we were very pleased with the Castle Manor Inn. We stayed in the main house on the second floor and had a lovely view. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a little dated but spacious, comfortable, and well-furnished. The bathroom was small, but everything worked well and it was clean. In general, the room seemed quite clean, although we found some trash under the bed from a previous guest. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but we appreciated the complimentary coffee. Loved sitting on the wraparound porch in the morning. We were very happy with our choice. For guests planning to spend time at Gloucester Harbor, it is worth mentioning that the direct route from the hotel to the harbor passes over a canal with a bridge that opens for passing boats. Three out of the four times we tried to cross the bridge, we got stuck for 10-20 minutes waiting for the boats to pass. Not a big deal, but it's not quite as convenient to get to the harbor as you might expect. Overall, though, we would be happy to stay at the Castle Manor Inn again and would recommend it to anyone.

• Michelle (6/5): - We enjoyed our 2 night stay for the Bunker hill battle weekend. It was so close to Stage Fort and Stacy Blvd with gas station, store and restaurants right down the street. The room was decorated nicely and was clean. However - the bathroom - shower was a slooow drain which is gross. tiny rusty sink and nasty floor. needs new toilet. If you can get past that - go for it
• lisa (6/5): Not for us - The place itself is beautiful but unfortunately there was a wedding happening while we were there and it took up all the outdoor space so we were not able to enjoy it and had to pretty much stay in our room had nowhere to eat our dinner no table or chairs in our room.
• Joseph R (6/5): - I didn't learn until I a got my room key that I wasn't staying in the Inn! All other Inns I've been to identified their rooms as rooms not suites! Because I choose a room, I felt like I was staying at a Motel-6! The room however was neat and clean! It would have been nice to have a small table and two chairs to sit on! You could only sit on the beds!
• Chrissieann (10/5): - The staff was super helpful and accommodating with the changes I needed to make the morning of my stay. The rooms were very clean and the property is beautiful. I left my rings there and the staff immediately notified me, which is amazing.
• Jennifer (6/5): - The motel is clean and the beds are comfortable. The room could use a table or someplace for a lady to do hair/makeup. Shower has no shelf to put soap or toiletries. They do have shampoo/bodywash bolted to the wall, but I never use that stuff because of allergies. There isn't even a chair in the room and no rugs, so bring socks or slippers. The AC is extremely loud. Also, I paid for a room with balcony, but was in the lower level of the motel with a view of overgrown brush. The place was fine for one night, but rather expensive. I may try to stay in the Manor Inn itself someday, but the motel part is pretty questionable considering the price.
