Guest Reviews
- Hui Sun (10/5): - The food is really delicious and authentic. Maybe the check out time
- KS (8/5): - Breakfast was japanese and excellent. 7.30am to 8.30am. Communal toilet and shower facility, do take note. We have a washing tap/basin in the room for brushing of teeth and washing of hands.
- kirsten (7/5): - Het was superhygiënisch.
- Zhanna (7/5): Probably one of the best spots in the town - Central position. Stone throwing from the station. Nice lake view. Very friendly stuff. The dinner and the breakfast were delicious but overpriced.
- Ying Ying (9/5): -
- mei hau (10/5): - Room and hot springs No
- Thomas (6/5): -
- Tsui Yee (7/5):
- Shugo (3/5): -
- Baptiste (10/5): A warm and comfy stay nearby the sea! - The property is really cute and clean. The room was very spacious and well furnished, beds are comfortable.
The big + is the onsen! I really enjoyed it.
The staff is lovely and the breakfast delicious.
I really appreciated my stay!
- Justyna (10/5): - Very nice, traditional ryokan in a beautiful location.
I stayed there for a night on family holiday with a baby and my parents. We had a room with an amazing see view.
The rooms were well heated, it was pleasantly warm inside despite quite winter night. The futons were comfy, there was green tea and some snacks in the room.
Traditional breakfast was tasty and filling.
We really recommend this place.
- Magin (8/5): - El agia termal estaba tibia
- Adam (9/5): Comfortable stay with nice meals and good view. - The stay include Japanese style breakfast and dinner which were both of high quality. Our room is spacious and facing the lake with nice view. It is walkable from the station and bus stop. Staff were generally friendly. There is a lift which is great for handling luggage as we stay on the first floor. Water temperature in the facility’s onsen is not hot at all. It feels like a warm bath. There is also a private onsen on site which can be booked with a fee. Not sure what that one is like.
- Kwan (9/5): - Breakfast and dinner very delicious. The staff offered sincerest service to us.
- Shota (10/5): - The view from the window, private bath, and the proximity to the station The atmosphere among Ryokan staffs seemed bad
- Alias (9/5): - Room are a great comfort with great view of Amanohashidate. Meals are excellent in both variety and portions. Small Ryokan so everyone gets a good service, staff is very friendly. Excellent lounge with books and manga, and massage chair. At the edge of the tourist locations but not too far away. Free parking although its across the railway on the other side of the road. Onsen facilities are very small, fit 3 adult only (each gender).
- CHUNG CHI (10/5): -
- Karina Elizabeth (10/5): -
- Thibaut (10/5): -
- Maria Margarita (10/5): I had a lovely stay here and would stay again in the future - The food, kind and accommodating staff, how close it was to the station, it has an elevator, close to all attractions
- Urska (10/5): -
- Su Ping (9/5): -
- MARIE (9/5): -
- eva (8/5): -
- Joshua (7/5): Really lovely stay but wish we got slightly more info on booking.com. - The onsen was lovely and clean, and our room overlooked the water. Our breakfasts were delicious. We had to be in by 11pm sharp or else we could be locked out. With friends staying nearby this was a slight annoyance.
- Hsu (8/5): -
- Kenya (10/5): -
- Yuen (7/5): -
- AYUMU (8/5): -
- charlotte (10/5): -
- nakayama (5/5): -
- Michael (4/5): - Beautiful view and great location for the main tourist adhesion. Food was fine. As per the experience of others, the Hotel management were rude. There is a clear language barrier. Whilst this is the fault of nobody, they become increasingly frustrated and rude if you cannot understand. From minute one we felt uneasy and unable to relax which tarnished the overall experience.
- Rodríguez (7/5): - The view from the room and the onsen. The price was too high. There were just two toilets on the upper floor for all the rooms, and no showers on that floor.
- Davina (8/5): -
- Zane (8/5): Authentic experience - Location was brilliant, view right on the sea. Very authentic experience. Good japanese breakfast. Very strong curfew. Felt a bit like in school. No noise or checking after 23:00. Breakfast right on the time you have been designated, if its 8:00 then you better be there.
Nothing much nearby where to buy food or different necessities. Price was a bit high and if you want private bath, you have to book it additionally for a separate cost.
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Cecile (10/5): Very traditional, clean and cute - Very cute and traditional place. I particularly loved the kimono in the room, the tea set ready on arrival, the onsen and the breakfast!
- Jill (10/5): -
- Martin (8/5): -
- Giulia (7/5): - The facility is beautiful. It has an amazing location since it’s right in front of the water and well connected with the scenic Ine and the bigger Miyazu. Right in front of the Station and Bus Stop to/from Kyoto. The onsen is very nice and there’s opportunity to book the outside bath for extra money. Nonetheless, staff’s approach to guests should be hugely improved. I understand staff doesn’t speak any English but it’s still a touristic facility that welcomes tourists on a daily basis. They could use translators or at least being less rude in their own language. From beginning until the end we’ve been treated in a very impolite way. This is really a negative side of a really beautiful hotel.
- marilena (10/5): Soggiorno perfetto - Stanza stupenda, colazione e cena ottime, a pochi passi dai negozi e dalla stazione. Nulla
Ras
- BYUNG DO (8/5): -
- Christian (9/5): - Struttura molto accogliente, funzionale e pulitissima.
- Giulia (10/5): -
- Julie (9/5): Cosy stay in Amanohashidate - Little family owned hotel with traditional rooms and shared traditional bath. Very charming and practical location.
- Xiaolu (10/5): -

- David (9/5): - Good place to stay while visiting Amanohashidate. Just a short walk from the train station.
The dinner and breakfast served were delicious traditional Japanese meals. The staff cooking and serving were extremely friendly and helpful, even though I was unfamiliar with some of the food that was being served.
Room had a great view of the water and the onsen facilities were nice. Staying here felt like I was visiting a friend's grandparent's house (in the nicest possible way). They used a scent in the room (air freshener, I think?) that wasn't my favorite. But it wasn't too bothersome.
- Robert (9/5): - Very clean room, stylish relax rooms and corridors, clean bath, kind staff, very taste breakfast and dinners, great location. The price of staying was too expensive in my opinion, because it is not ryokan, but minshuku. But all services were okay.
- Tomáš (7/5): - We arrived at 6 pm to catch the golden hour at the Amanohashidate, which is only 10 mins walk from the hotel. It was ease to find a parking spot thanks to the assistance of the staff (old lady). Rooms were OK, onsen small but nice. The staff could not speak English and it caused a lot of troubles. Firstly Booking.com offered a possibility to pay 10€ for the breakfast. They did not offer this and we were disappointed. By the check-out we wanted to use the bath before next trip. Staff (middle aged man) was VERY rude and started to shout at us. We did not know, that onsen was only until 9 am, no one told us… So again, if we would know more, we would have less troubles.
The place is still nice and I hope that the staff (probably owners?) will learn at least a super basic phrases to avoid such situations.
- Jens (10/5): -
- Moon Ha (6/5): -
- Tak Yan Joyce (9/5): -
- Kairuei (7/5): -
- HSIAO LIN (8/5):
- JUNYI (10/5): -
- Non (8/5): Good for staying. - Location is good, very near to the train station.
Room was clean and enough space. A lot of facility. The staffs can not speak english at all. they kept speaking japanese and didn’t care whether I understand or not.
- Benjamin (8/5): - The place felt authentic
- reiya (9/5): - Is traditional Japanese style ryokan. Room quite big. We love a lot Japanese style breakfast. Overall 👍. Share bathroom and toilet. Near to train station.
- MEI HUI (8/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Delightful Japanese hotel with excellent facilities - It was exactly as described. The staff were lovely and the breakfast exceptional- it would be difficult if you don’t like fish, you are in a fishing village and area.
The onset was delightful at the end of the day. Nothing really, a real Japanese still hotel which is what you are booking. You have to try it to appreciate it.
