Guest Reviews
- Sue (8/5): - Very comfortable bed. All fixtures worked. Breakfast coffee was weak.
- Nicole (6/5): High price for the bare minimum. - The location was close to everything I needed. The decor was outdated, no hairdryer, no coffee in room and breakfast didn’t start until 7:30 (I was already on the road by 7), the surround in bathroom was cracked and barely sealed.
- Brent (8/5): - Nice clean rooms Window didn't work, and the door was a little drafty.
- WENDY (7/5): -
- Louise (7/5): - Friendly staff and location Stained bedding, no breakfast available, uncomfortable chairs in room. Expensive for what is was
- Cheryl (9/5): -

- William (8/5): -
- Pierre (8/5): -
- Kendra (6/5): - The neighborhood . I was in 25 & the guy in 24 by the dinning rm. Has his tv on all night do high & his voice on the phone with "F " every second work.
- Gerald (7/5): Good clean motel in great location for border crossing travelers. - Motel was clean and good size. Came with small frig and microwave. Ice machine was in the office. Breakfast was okay with mostly cold items served other than toast you can make yourself. Location was just north of the US/Canada border making it a good stop regardless of what direction you’re coming from.
- Andrew (6/5): -
- Lise (8/5): Bien situé, près des services (grosse épicerie). - Proximité des services, salle de bain rénovée. Luminosité, manque de clarté.
- Ted (3/5): Terrible stay, spiders, old appliances made lots of noise -
- Assinath (9/5): - It was very good None
- Marie-Louise (6/5): Great for a stopoffwhen crossing the border - It was a stop off before the border. Comfortable enough. Staff fine and helpful. Room clean. Bit dark/old-fashioned
- Margaret (7/5): -
- Kristin (10/5): Quiet, clean and comfortable hotel. - Quiet, clean, comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast. We checked in late (if you're crossing the border like we were from the US, the time zone changes!) and they were available by phone and had the room key available for us. Definitely would recommend this hotel to others. Maybe a few more outlets by the bed to plug in phones, etc.
- David (9/5): - Room was clean and comfortable. No restaurant
- Kimberly (6/5): - Location for my job Bathroom sink drained slowly.
- Dawn (8/5): -
- Yassir (9/5): -
- Theresa (8/5): Have to be in St. Stephen, stay at the Winsome! - Convenient and cute breakfast area, pretty sound proof, bed was comfy The room smelled like smoke with a giant non smoking sign and I look forward to cable at a hotel which they don’t have but not end of the world obviously
- Lahey (9/5): Comfortable, clean, friendly staff. - Close to everything N/a
- Russell (10/5): -
- Neil (8/5): -
- Suz-Anne (10/5): Great place to stay with family!! - My husband and I stayed before in one of the lodges, and when we were looking for a place for my daughter and her 2 kids and my son.
I thought we'll try here while we stayed in the cabin. It was roomy enough for all of us.
We got there and they were celebrating their 90th birthday. That was a lot of fun. My grandkids loved it.
Everybody was wonderful in its very close to go to storyland which that was our plan.
The restaurant in the premises was great and kid friendly.
Great place to stay.
We will be back!
- Anita (8/5): Most adequate - Location, room size , accessibility, breakfast included
- Bee (9/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): -
- François (3/5): Séjour pas très apprécié dans ce motel - Propreté. On ne se sentait pas vraiment en sécurité. Environnement pas très accueillant. Vieil emplacement qui manque de rénovation et d'entretien en général
- Don (10/5): -
- Jenny (10/5): Great Value - Everything I have no negatives
- Thomas (6/5): - Parking lot is roomy and easy to reach each room, check in was easy but the office is NOT accessible to anyone in a wheelchair or having limited mobility, air conditioning is old fashioned portable units mounted in the wall and partially blocked from efficiently cooling the room due to its location and sub walls in the way.
- Christiane (7/5): -
- Glenn (7/5): -
- John (6/5): It’s fine for one night stay. - Breakfast was nothing to talk about.
No yogurt, or fresh fruit, no bagels. No hairdryer in our room, could have used a small table in the bathroom to put your stuff on.
- Julianna (8/5): clean, comfortable and affordable lodging - property met all of our requirements: safe, clean and quiet, with comfortable beds. No hairdryer was in the bathroom but we were able to borrow one from the front desk. Restaurants were nearby. limited electrical outlets to plug in our electronic devices, but this is not unusual in an older property.
- Mona (8/5): - The room was standard, clean. Had a fridge . No hair dryer though. Breakfast was basic, toast, cereal /oatmeal and coffee. Was easy access to cross the border in the morning.
- Jason (9/5): -
- Shannon (2/5): - We didn’t end up staying there as we were looking for St. Andrew not st Stephen so I am hoping I will not get charged for the room as I could not find a way to cancel
- Helen (8/5): - Great breakfast and a good location (just across the border). I appreciated that we were called to confirm we'd get there before the office closed (and the same gentleman was also staffing breakfast - I guess he hadn't gotten much sleep but he was friendly & professional).
- Cindy (8/5): Comfortable enough - Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough. The lady at the desk was helpful. The breakfast was adequate. There was cereal, juice, bread, and bagels. No cream cheese, muffins, Danish, or fruit.
- Marc (10/5): - Very well kept. Great location near Rockland, Maine. Nothing
- Alain (4/5): Ce n’est pas pour moi - L’emplacement Toilette qui coule, chaises pas confortables, ventilateur de toilette extrêmement bruyant, climatiseur bruyant mais fonctionnel, etc.
- Claudette (8/5): - They have a locked black box that you can access by code and get your room key, no matter what time you arrive at night.
Very efficient, easy to work, and extremely helpful to travelers like us, as we couldn't arrive until 1:00 AM. Spiders hanging at room doorway..
Toilet blogged up very easily, but was easily fixed.
Overall, great little place for a stop over.
- Robbo (7/5): - Availability Noisy neighbors; i.e., guests; not much though that the Winsome Inn could have done about that
- Keith (8/5): - Convenient location but facilities are a bit dated. Also, the staff at this particular stay weren't too pleasant while in the past they have been exceptionally nice.
- K (9/5): -
- Cary Ann (10/5): - The property was very clean and the staff incredibly friendly.
- Doug (9/5): -
- Daniel (6/5): - Good location and value.
- Joanne (10/5): - Nice dining area. Appreciated that utensils, mugs, bowls etc., not made of single use plastic.
Receptionist saw that there were 4 of us and offered extra towels.
- Arthur (9/5): Stay way comfortable, clean, and the staff was very accommodating. -
- David (9/5): -
- David (8/5): - It was clean and friendly. Motel is older and not fancy, but it did the job and not super expensive.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Decor requires updating. Garden area needs attention.
Expected better for the price.
- Coulter (10/5): I had a great time and my room was very comfortable. I would stay here again and I highly recommend. - The room was clean , no odor from the room. Staff was very friendly and kind.
- Dianne (8/5): Great location, affordable option, would stay again! - Friendly staff, very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, good location for visiting nearby town (Saint Andrew's) with much higher nightly costs for hotels. The tv was a Roku and wouldn't connect to the server despite multiple attempts, also required you sign into your streaming accounts stating it would be erased upon departure date. It was late so didn't bother with getting the front desk involved but would prefer a regular TV with local cable service. Small issue for a one night stay.
- Garry (6/5): -
- Arthur (9/5): -
- Scott (8/5): -
- Scott (9/5): Good location. Great stay. - Great location for those traveling to/from US. Convenient and right at the border. Nice setup and great breakfast. n/a
- Dana (8/5): - Was comfortable and clean. Had the amenities we needed. Good location! A/C was on and worked well. Could hear people opening and closing their doors a lot.
- Lynn (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine.
- Luc (8/5): - Love the old classic Motel style where you park next to your room.
- Emily (8/5): - Everything was good and as advertised
- Lynne (8/5): Very good - Very dated, only 2 towels even though room was booked for 4 people. We only stayed for one night so an okay place to stay for the night.
- Greg (6/5): Pleasant -
- Norman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (5/5): Poor value for money - Easy to find and had a Tim Hortons and supermarket close by There was no coffee or tea available either in the room or the lobby. I have travelled extensively in Canada and the USA and have never had this before. There is also no hairdryer
- James (10/5): - The night staff were very helpful and accommodating. Thank you.
- Jamie (4/5): - The photos online are dated - property is not as well maintained as photos- rooms were ok - clean - cleaning staff were great. Person working front desk behaved as if we were inconveniencing him. Didn’t stay for breakfast - same staff in the morning so opted to eat elsewhere.
- Samuel (10/5): - Nice
- Melick-barthelmess (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional - Clean rooms. The staff was awesome. Check-in fast and a great reception.
- Debra (4/5): I wouldn't stay here again - It wasn't a bad room the bathroom sink had no room to put any toiletries and the 1 ply toilet tissue because of the sewer issues sucked and then there was almost no water pressure in the shower and the tub didn.t drain from the shower.
- Catherine (6/5): - Very basic room with no amenities- no coffee maker or hair dryer. Air conditioner cooled room by the morning. Surprised there was a continental breakfast but it was only cereal, coffee and bread. For the cost of the room I expected more.
- Boni (10/5): - .
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Tamara (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (8/5): - Good location
- Wayne (7/5): Good -
- Diane (8/5): - Rooms were good, service good. Property management a great help when the room TV wasn't working.they were prompt, offer us another room and wanted to make sure we were comfortable.

- Daniel (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay, very clean and quiet!
- JUNHUI (8/5): - It is simple, acceptable.
- Judy (8/5): Very good - We liked the breakfast area, very convenient and great service. Could hear a little noise from the adjoining room but not loud enough to really bother us.
- Alfonso (10/5): - The space is very well kept, neat and unique! The owners were quick to reply to our inquiries and are great to work with
- Doraelia (10/5): - Great
- Lisa (7/5): I’d stay again, and bring my own pillow - Basic, clean, close to everything. Breakfast provided Pillows are horrendous
- Dana (7/5): Good -
- Ruth (10/5): - We were happy to be near downtown St Stephen. The facility was safe and met our needs.
- Danielle (10/5): - Excellent morning staff. Very informative, friendly and accommodated us for all of our needs.
- Solveiga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harry (9/5): Superb - Great view. Open field. No desk.
- Karen (9/5): A lovely place. - The bed was very comfortable and everything we needed was provided. We liked the location. A better breakfast would have been nice, but, the staff person made coffee for me because there was none left AND, he let me have an English muffin, even though the breakfast time was over.
- Dean (6/5): - Adequate, but the Internet wasn't working at all.
- Dodge (9/5): Superb -
- Val (6/5): - Really expensive for a cheap hotel room. Also says continental breakfast but the door was locked and does not seem it ever opened. It’s an ok stay, but too expensive for what it is.
