• Roger (6/5): Celebration without a cake or even a happy bday or happy anniversary - Breakfast is good, the area is quiet, at the top of the mountain, good for resting. The room we had is beside the reception and one of the nights a lot of talking woke us up at around 7am. The hotel did not make an effort to appreciate our choice to both celebrate our wedding anniversary and my hubie's bday, even tough my husband send them a message a week before letting them know of these 2 major events for our celebrations. The area (varanda) to see the view of Monchique from the top were full of leaves, we informed our arrival times, unfortunately for this property, we do the same business in Algarve(Holiday Rentals) and our expectations were high on a note that communication were done to the property before hand, because they ask us some questions before going there. Some photos were of leaves and insects at the room(under the heater at the toilet). We did not inform anything during our stay because of our experience of telling many things before our stay and nothing was done to meet our needs or wants for the stay. The room seemed like a free market, everything were with a price to be sold and maximise profit to the place.

• Robert (9/5): Magical. - The hotel went the extra distance to make every little detail memorable. The common areas were very extensive and pleasant. The breakfast was really good. The hard surfaces of the corridor make it quite loud, which can't help but be heard inside the room. Carpeted floors in the corridors would help.

• Amy (10/5): Peaceful place to relax and hike! - Staff and breakfast were excellent! The weather was warm for Spring so we could take advantage of the pool. It is not heated but, was very refreshing. We booked one of the suites and it was nice to have a kitchen. We were able to heat up leftovers we brought home from a restaurant. Nespresso machine in room was great too. Not being able to use the hot tub when we wanted to due to having to reserve it. Would’ve been nice to use it after dark.
• Ahmed (5/5): Good experience but could be much better! - I loved the views from the hotel. Everything else, the shower with cold water after 2 minutes of hot water only. No slippers provided for the room, the cleaning took place after the first night but only for the bed to be redone. No vacum was used and no mop was used at all while cleaning is visible only on the bed. No ironing machine available or water kettle in the room for a cup of tea for example. Breakfast I went twice and one time NO hot milk and one time NO hot coffee and in both times I was told they won’t do a new one. One time no jam but it’s called an open buffet. You don’t get served to an amazing level. But it’s ok!

• Ross (10/5): Exceptional location in a great part of the Algarve. - It's a great property with breathtaking views of the Algarve coast and the Atlantic. Beautiful facility, room. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Great attentive staff. All with the same great views! The owners, Henk and Michele, are a wonderful hands on team making our stay the best. We could have seen the wild boars rooting our the plantings but no such luck. We did eat some of their cousins at local restaurant.

• Anke Grit (10/5): Tolles Hotel inmitten von Korkeichen - Das Studio befindet sich oberhalb vom Hotel, um einen herum schöne Korkeichen. Das Studio hatte für uns die richtige Größe, es war sehr gut ausgestattet, die Betten waren sehr bequem. Am Nachmittag hatten wir trotz Korkbaum Sonne auf dem kleinen Balkon. Die Hotelanlage ist schön angelegt, es ist sehr ruhig und wir konnten vom Hotel aus direkt loswandern. Der Pool sieht sehr einladend aus, aber es war uns zu kalt, um ihn zu testen. Im Ort gibt es einen großen Intermarche (mit dem Auto hingefahren). Das Hotel ist sicherlich im Sommer auch eine schöne Alternative, wenn man dem Massentourismus entfliehen möchte. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn das Studio bei unserer Anreise schon etwas vorgewärmt (Heizung an) gewesen wäre.

• Julia (9/5): Außergewöhnliches Bed and Breakfast - - tolle Lage und tolle Aussicht, gepflegte Anlage - Stühle, Tisch und Sonnenliegen auf dem Balkon - bequeme Betten - super Frühstück für ein Bed & Breakfast, man konnte sich Eierspeisen frisch zubereiten lassen und sonst gab es alles, was man zum Frühstück brauchte (verschiedenes Obst, verschiedene Käsesorten und Wurstsorten, Jogurt, Müsli, verschiedene Brotsorten), Saft, Kaffee, Tee - es wurde angenehm warm, es gab in unserem Studio eine Fussbodenheizung und auch die Klimaanlage sorgten gut für Wärme - sehr gute Beschreibung der Anfahrt vorab von der Unterkunft (wenn Leute nicht lesen und den Weg laut Google Maps fahren, sind sie selbst schuld) - sehr gute Restaurant und Café Empfehlungen - Honesty Bar und Snacks sorgen für Verpflegung, in Monchique gibt es einen Intermarché - Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden - die letzten Meter der Anfahrt sind auf abgenutzten Asphalt, eng und steil - vor allem bei Gegenverkehr braucht man schon etwas Geschick und Übersicht beim Fahren - unser Studio hätte gemütlicher eingerichtet sein können, es gab beispielsweise nur einen Sessel, obwohl im Studio genügend Platz ist und die Küchenecke war ungemütlich und spartanisch, die Einrichtung ist nicht "das Neuste" - Teetassen und eine Teekanne wären schön - wenige Abstellmöglichkeiten im Bad, obwohl Platz wäre (man muss seine Utensilien auf das Fensterbrett stellen) - die Fugen in der Dusche müssen erneuert werden

Not at all their fault but because we were there during the holidays, some of the activities they typically offer were not available. This was totally understandable.

• Jennifer (7/5): Lovely View - The views were to die for and the grounds were lovely. We liked the lounge chairs on our balcony. 1. The rooms had everything we needed, but the bathroom could have used some updating and the room itself was pretty dull. 2. Nobody mentioned that the tiny one lane mountain road to get up there was literally terrifying to drive up in the dark. We are seasoned drivers and all 3 of us were scared to death. 3. The other real problem was that there was no handicapped parking and no elevator down to the level that breakfast was served, so my husband had to carry it up to our room. And no coffee maker in the room. 4. We thought it very usual that there was no staff on the premises after 6pm.

Fint stort naturområde högt uppe i bergen mycket att se på trots att vi var där i off-season. Otrolig utsikt. Rekommenderar att när man väl är där så är det bara att njuta, finns möjlighet att äta där från ett litet utbud som räckte väl för oss på eftermiddagen/kvällen.

• Piers Stephen (10/5): Exceptional the staff really care, the breakfasts excellent the relaxing retreat vibe is dominant. - This is a stunning location, the hotel provides great attention to detail, the staff are exceptional, this is an environment / hotel that I will not hesitate to use again when visiting the Algarve region. Not the hotel's fault, on our first morning we were awoken extremely early by a noisy and loud tourist who was with a small group who were heading off for an early hike, this particular woman had a pitch to her voice that would cut tin, and obviously had no awareness that she was shouting in the corridor at a very early morning hour- I'm sure you can correctly guess the nationality. In spite of this unwelcome experience we highly rate the relaxing vibe at this hotel.

• D (9/5): Prachtige plek maar basic verblijf. - Een prachtige locatie, rust en natuur. Grote kamer met groot terras met ligbedden. Goede douche, voorzien van alle benodigdheden/producten. Vloerverwarming, heel fijn in november. Goed bed. Alles mooi onderhouden en netjes. Mooie tuin, geweldige jacuzzi in de tuin, vooraf reserveren! Aardige enthousiaste medewerkers. Het ontbijt vonden wij karig tov de locatie en de prijs. We misten hier wel een vers croissantje of een hard broodje. Eigenlijk was alles van het buffet mini. En dat fruit zo dun gesneden kan worden wisten wij niet 😉 Op de kamer geen koffie- of theefaciliteiten of koelkast. Er wordt wel tegen redelijke prijs drank en koffie aangeboden in de bar.

• Sarah (10/5): Hidden Gem near the Portomao Autódromo - I loved the fact that they have a ‘honest bar’ where you can get a beer or wine after hours, you just have to add it to your tab. We were exhausted after traveling and the staff offered us a quick pizza even after hours because they are just that accommodating. We stayed in the studio, away from the main house, and it was perfect - the view was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - and the radiant heat floor was a bonus during Nov. Nothing

• Klara (10/5): Underbar utsikt, lugn atmosfär. - Underbar utsikt, fantastiska rum, oslagbar frukost. Det var kul att köra runt i området med korkek, naturliga brunnar, eukalyptus. Kanske att det kändes som en fjällstuga inomhus, mörkt trä. Men det fanns plats att lägga in kläder och en fantastisk utsikt.

Es gibt schöne Pflanzen und alles ist gepflegt. Das Mobiliar ist zweckmässig, der Kühlschrank nicht im Zimmer

Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et savoureux. Le personnel est vraiment gentil et toujours prêt à aider. J’ai adoré l’emplacement au cœur de la montagne, idéal pour se ressourcer. El camino es fácil, ni caso a quienes se quejan El sitio está muy bien, pero para lo que cuesta esperaba algo más. Nuestra habitación, un estudio, era correcto aunque quizá le faltaba ese nivel de detalle que esperas de un alojamiento en el que pagas un elevado precio por noche.
