Guest Reviews
- Richard (10/5): - Loved this little motel, owner told us the family history .. you can tell they live their motel! Comfy beds…
- David (10/5): Great Experience - Built in 1947 but extremely well maintained. Fixtures are good quality and it has the biggest mini fridge I ever saw with a generous freezer section. The owner/clerk takes great interest in helping his guests find great spots to eat and enjoy their time. One suggestion would be a grab bar added to get out of the tub. Wonderful reasonably priced breakfast at Two medicine grill.
- Dar (10/5): - Our best stay out of 19, so beautiful, makes us feel right at home! Bed is cushy and so comfortable, nice sheets, so soft!! Shower is great, at last a two handled faucet that works! We would highly recommend this motel, absolutely the best!!👍
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Just like camping. Host gave us a lot of useful information.
- Martin (10/5): Great reception, good room. - Friendly and helpful reception. Nice area.
- Jeron (10/5): - Very knowledgeable front desk. We arrived about 2 hours before sunset and were given an excellent suggestion for a way to enjoy part of Glacier National Park that night as well as good advice for how to get the most out of the park the following day based on what we were most interested in. The front desk was almost as knowledgeable as the park rangers.
The rooms were clean and attractive with standard amenities. The shower head was a bit parsimonious with the water and the room was snug with everything that was in it. Overall, though, it was an good experience for a good price. I would definitely stay here again.
- Joan (10/5): - Loved this qaint lodging. Provided a simple, clean room with comfortable bed. Great customer service, close to Two Medicine Lake, and a great coffee shop with pastries nearby. We would definitely stay there again.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Cute little Motel with friendly staff - we stayed overnight with my elderly mom 84 years old who uses a walker and the bathroom door going in the bathroom is narrow so that was the only drawback- we were in a regular room not a handicap acessible - she did fine anyway as no steps and easy parking right in front of each cabin - the property is clean with nice cabin decor - Beds were comfortable, and nice and quiet. Coffee was excellent- we drove on highway 49 to get there which was an amazing gorgeous drive- narrow highway with lots of twists and turns and excellent photo opportunities
- Annette (6/5): - Clean room, no shower head and very low water pressure.
- William (10/5): - We love small Mom & Pop properties. Mountain Pines has been built and run by the same family for three generations. It has old world charm, it is spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. On top of that rates are very reasonable. I would highly recommend staying here. (I hope that you got your ice machine repaired :)
- Jon (10/5): - This is the cutest motel! Sparkling clean! The motel has been in the family for over 70 years and the grandson of the original owner now owns and runs it. It’s like stepping into another era, in the best way. It was a great location for discovering the east side of glacier and we would happily stay here again!!
- James (10/5): - Owner helpful. Obviously loves the property and his role in maintaining a welcome and cheerful environment. Rates a little high, but more than reasonable given the competitive nature of the national park proximity.
- Janet (10/5): - The breadth of knowledge shared by the owner made our visit to East Glacier that much better. I look forward to my next visit.
- Brandon (10/5): - Absolutely amazing! Would totally say stay here!! I would love to come back.
- Shaojun (8/5): - Room is very clean and staff is very friendly!
- Kelly (10/5): - We had to be up at 4am to get to our preferred trail head and the very friendly and happy resident cat wishing us good morning made it so much more enjoyable
- Shivean (10/5): - Friendly staff and well maintained property. Very close to the East Glacier Park entrance and Two Medicine Lake.
- Jewell Mari Elaine (10/5): - Ryan was very helpful! Overall, comfy stay!
- Leia (10/5): I’d stay here again and again - This motel beat all of our expectations. The location is beautiful and feels like it’s right in the park. The room was clean, the coffee was great and the bed was extremely comfortable. I think the best part was the service. Ryan helped us find the best hikes and suggested a plethora of other hikes that we hadn’t been considering. It was great having all of his insider’s knowledge. All in all, I’d recommend this motel 100%
- Gene (10/5): - Just a one night stop over while going to Glacier National Park.
Nice peaceful setting.
Clean room
- Emily (4/5): - Excellent staff and very clean! Lower rating only because rooms are dark & depressing. Can’t keep curtains open because the large windows face the courtyard area and walls are deep dark brown. Great location and affordable, though.
- Teresa (10/5): - The lady at check in was very helpful and the room was clean and cozy
- Roy (10/5): - Just an outstanding property all around. Good value for the product.
- Robert (10/5): - Bryan was very welcoming and hospitable. Loved the property for an overnight stay. Easy in and easy out. Highly recommend staying here
- Ryan (10/5): - Super clean and very rustic. Loved this place!
- Andrzej (10/5): - The property is run with love and passion by the owners. There are beautiful flowers. You fill that they care about guests. Definitlely recommend this motel.
- Barbora (10/5): - Great!
- Rochelle (10/5): - Everything was awesome! Thank you for all your advice, tips and help. Only advice we would give is to add some insulation between the rooms. We could hear snoring through the walls. 😴
- Brian (10/5): - Super nice cabins just outside the village. Easy walk to the village restaurants and shops.
- Pamela (10/5): America the beautiful - Had a good time on the entry to East Glacier during our overnight at Mountain Pine Motel. We love that it is a family owned operation.
- NANCY (10/5): - Ryan the proprietor was friendly knowledgeable and efficient. He knew Glacier NP and helped us seem some great local hikes
The cabins were warm and comfy and the surrounding town was wonderful
- Connie (10/5): - Ryan was wonderful at check-in. He let us know about the eateries in the area and some really awesome things to see inside Glacier National Park.
If anyone I know is coming this way and needs to wants to stay on the east side, this is the place.
- Michelle (10/5): - Super cute little place. Old, but that's part of the charm. The motel was very retro but sparkly clean and the beds had nice linens and were comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again.
- Penelope (10/5): - This is a historical place in an historical area. The people were especially nice, everything was clean and comfortable. I loved it.
- Deanna (10/5): - The property was beautiful. Very friendly and helpful owners. Clean and quiet. Highly recommend.
- Mark (10/5): - Clean and comfortable, good location, close to restaurants. Owner was very friendly and helpful.
- ANNE (10/5): - Older motor lodge that was taken care of through the years. Clean as clean can be. Small but so so comfortable! Best bed in 3 weeks of traveling. Perfect for East Glacier Park.
- Robert (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.
- Kevin (10/5): - I hardly ever leave reviews but this place deserves a good one! Everything was great and exceeded my expectations! A great classic motel experience
- Troy (10/5): - Mountain Pine Motel was a great place to stay for the East side of Glacier National Park. It is a very nice almost cabin like room. It was very large, clean, and quiet. The front desk was great. I would choose this motel again for my stay in East Glacier.
- Jerry (10/5): - An older motel but clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Even called us ahead of time for instructions on a late arrival.
- John (10/5): - Nice quaint little motel with a super staff.
Never a problem!
- Timothy (8/5): - Needed a place to stay at the last minute, so took a chance on this hotel and was very pleasantly surprised. Staff was VERY friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about East Glacier, room was clean, bed was comfortable. You can tell they take pride in their hotel.
The only caveat is our room did not have air conditioning, which was fine in early June and didn't bother us. There were fans in the room for air circulation. May not be an issue as I don't know the weather in late summer, but wanted to point it out.
I would recommend this hotel for a traveler who is budget conscious and looking for someplace to stay on East Glacier, but doesn't want cheap and dirty.
- Andreas (10/5): - The host Mr. Sherburne was very helpful in all questions regarding hikes, information about bears and general info about the region. He even lended us bearspray for free.
Would stay there again.
- Sherri (8/5): Throwback motel - Guy that checked us in was so friendly. Gave us tips on what to see. He even gave my mom his box of homemade cinnamon rolls! The rooms were dated and a little damp (rained a ton while we were there). It was more like a cabin but we kind of liked that part. Felt like a 70s vacation stay. Not for someone who prefers high end facilities.
- Barb (10/5): - Everything was so nice and neat and very clean.!I would recommend this property and will be back again. The staff was Awsome!!!!
- Bing (10/5): - Owner is extremely knowledgeable about the hiking trails in Glacier NP.
- robert (10/5): - The owner checked us in—-he was extremely helpful and so nice. He gave us a lot of very helpful information.
- Melissa (10/5): - Perfect place to stay for our weekend trip to glacier! Conveniently located close to two medicine and the east side of going to the sun. The owner was super friendly and helpful and had many suggestions for hikes despite the rainy weather!
- Gary (10/5): - Family owned since 1947. Very personable host greeted us on arrival.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Very nice rustic setting.
- Kathryn (10/5): - .
- David (10/5): - Unique use of the upper level of auto body building, but it’s really nicely done and exquisite. Great use of old barn wood with story told in entryway.
- Mark (10/5): - Perfect location and nice cabin style rooms surrounded by trees. Large room with comfortable beds. Great recommendations on where to go and what to see within the time we had to visit the park.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Cute and quiet little motel. Front desk check in person was very helpful and informative of things to do in the area and local places to eat.
- Beverly (8/5): - This property is set in a rustic, yet clean, peaceful area. Although no breakfast is provided, there are options close by. The owner/manger is very friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable regarding history surrounding the area.
- Don (10/5): - So helpful and courteous. Offered great advice on places to visit. Have stayed many times before and will continue to in the future.
Great place!!
- Douglas (10/5): - This motel adds a great vibe to being in East Glacier
- Susan (10/5): Would definitely stay here again! - Front desk guy was very informative of area and hikes at the park. Very cute property with nice room updates. Safe area and walkable to local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. East glacier area much less crowded!

- Jeanne (8/5): Quaint clean rooms - Quaint clean rooms. Relatively quiet. East check in and out.
- Hans (10/5): - Great location and friendly staff!
- Prashant (10/5): Fantastic for families - Fantastic place for family . Front desk provided loads of information what all to visit in the park
- Lauren (10/5): Cute, clean, comfortable! - Wow! This place is a gem! The owner was so welcoming. He was super helpful getting us checked in, as well as letting us know about all of the dining options in the area. The place itself is SO cute. You can tell that they have done updates over the years to keep things fresh, but there is still the original feel of when it was built and lots of mid century elements. The beds were comfortable and everything was so clean! Also, the amount and quality of the towels was better than most places I’ve stayed. I was very impressed overall and we will definitely return!
- Donald (10/5): I pine for mountain pine motel - We had a wonderful two-day stay. The manager was so friendly and supportive. The room was nicely decorated and convenient. I’d recommend the place to anybody!
- Larae (6/5): - It was ok
- Jennifer (10/5): - This little spot is a real gem. The rooms are comfy and a great spot for a home base while visiting Glacier. The owner is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. You can walk to local cafes. 15 minutes from Two Medicine, 35-40 from St. Mary and about 70 to Many Glacier. We’ve stayed in a couple places and this is our favorite. We will be back!
- Valerie (10/5): - What a pleasant surprise our room was. Cozy, clean and very comfortable. Staff were excellent, and very welcoming after a day of long driving. Highly recommend this place.
- kim (10/5): Home away from home - Very nice find. Home away from home. Beds comfortable nice towels and plenty. Check was a breeze gentleman was very nice and very informative about things to do in area...great place!!
- Kevin (10/5): - The room was very nice, We loved the setting in the pines. The staff was friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay.
- Alfonso (10/5): - Ryan was amazing. He made sure we were taking care of and made our stay extremely enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place and I will sure come back. Thank you for the great hospitality!
- Richard (10/5): - Wonderfully knowledgeable and personable host. Great room and value. Highly recommended. Hope to stay again.
- Justine (10/5): - Staying in the property was great no complaints there. Very clean room and bathroom.
- Bette (10/5): - Friendly staff. Beautiful property. Very quiet.
- Karen (10/5): - Quiet
- Denise (10/5): Comfortable place. - Clean comfortable old style motel. Parking out front of your room. Clean room, did not smell musty or moldy. Clean bathroom. Bed was comfortable. The only drawback is the walls are thin; you can hear everything in the room next to you. There is a train line near by and you can hear that too. I had a Bluetooth speaker with me so I listened to ocean waves over that to drown out any other noises. It’s a great place; I enjoyed it. Staff very friendly.
- Bonita (10/5): Great place to stay - The cleanliness and attention to detail was very thoughtful. The extra sink made getting ready so much easier and staff was very accommodating. Would definitely stay again!!
- Debbie (10/5): - They let us use a pack n play crib for my grandson, which made our trip much more enjoyable.
- Julie (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, quiet, and I felt safe leaving a window open while sleeping. I also appreciated parking the car just outside the room. Literally 5 feet away from the door.
The hotel is older but well maintained and the staff was welcoming and accommodating.
- Elizabeth May (10/5): - Love the proximity to East Glacier, the price, the friendliness of the owner, the security, pleasant room with cable TV and hot shower
- Gary (6/5): Glacier - Very nice place Rachel was wonderful internet non existant
- brooks (10/5): - The owner is awesome cabins are cute and comfortable grounds are beautiful it’s a pleasure to be here
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Mountain Pine Motel is a wonderful place to stay. Clean, convenient and relaxing. We only stayed one night but Mr. Sherburne was wonderful and friendly. He help us find a spot to eat and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were very clean. They have a refrigerator, tv and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
- Shawn (10/5): - Very clean and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. The owner/manager was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All the 5 star reviews are for real. The people who run this clean little motel know what hospitality means. They also love Glacier NP and are proud to share it with the world.
- Laurie (8/5): - For a basic motel and the price it was a great deal. Comfy beds, clean, microwave and fridge and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great landscaping.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Mountain Inn at East Glacier was a perfect room for my girlfriend and me. The room was large, had space in the refrigerator for our fruit and food, the people were accommodating, helpful and very nice!! Very private also .. would definitely stay there again.
- Jay (8/5): - Friendly staff very helpful. Good location.................................,.............. ....
- Verified traveler (10/5): Most Cooperative - We had signed up for a day later than we actually arrived. They were fully booked but were most cooperative in assigning us to a large trailer apartment that they do not ordinarily rent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to Glacier NP, Two Medicine area. Check in was fast. Room was spacious, basic and comfortable, although shower was pretty small with a very low shower head. Room had a fair amount of lights once you figured out how to turn them all on. We used the electric heat, so I'm guessing no A/C if it was hot out.
Each room looked to have it's own numbered parking spot.
Glacier Lodge was close by for dinner and exploring the historic building.
- Valerie lynn (10/5): Did I mention clean? - Loved the owners! It's been run by his family for years, but they bought it fairly recently and are obviously putting their hearts and souls into it. Our room was beyond clean - It was immaculate. The pictures made it look dated - and I was a little hesitant to actually book a room until I read the reviews. It was cute, comfy, cozy, clean - and while I'm at it - conveniently located. We are going back - to Glacier and to Mountain Pines!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The customer service was fantastic! The owner expressed a genuine concern about our experience in Glacier and gave great advice and more than eager to make we had everything for our stay.
