• Susan (10/5): - Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Unique hotel with very cool antique furniture, which was a nice touch. Very interesting decor and lots of attention to detail as well. Our stay felt like being transported back in time! Dinner here was a culinary experience. The chef and staff were excellent and the meal was superb. And breakfast was awesome! It’s important to note that the food is also locally sourced and homemade, and delicious too! Only drawback was that the beds and pillows weren’t very comfortable - stiff mattress and pillows.

Every detail of the hotel had so much care and love. We adored all of the quirky furnishings and the artwork too. A lovely stay - wish we could’ve had longer!
• Rebecca (10/5): - Boutique Hotel Schluessel was perfect for a remote getaway. The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean and there are lots of amenities including a self service mini bar, hairdryers and drinking water faucets in the rooms. Our room was warm in the heat of the summer but we were provided with fans which kept the room cool. Would recommend eating at the hotel restaurant - a beautiful setting for dinner and fresh ingredients used. The breakfast was simple but lovely and the hotel went to effort to make sure we knew where all the ingredients were sourced from. It felt like an authentic Swiss countryside experience. The location is quite remote but easily accessible by frequent 311 busses. There is a short but steep walk up hill to the hotel but we got quite used to this by the end of our trip!

Alles ist sehr praktisch organisiert, der Service sympathisch, v.a. beim Frühstück. Leider haben wir am Abend nicht im Restaurant gegessen. Es geniesst einen sehr guten Ruf in der Region. Meine Begleitung sprach Englisch, die Kommunikation war nur bedingt möglich. Ein toller Ort, um den Touristenmassen zu entfliehen und doch sehr gut gelegen. Mit dem Schiff z.B. wenige Minuten nach Vitznau mit Anschluss auf die Rigi.

• James (10/5): Cute b&b - stay was great! Hosts were lovely and very helpful in both accommodating our late check in and making sure we were fed. We booked last minute so we were not able to make reservations for the restaurant downstairs. The room has no a/c so we had the windows open to try and catch a breeze and had to use ear plugs to drown out the restaurant patrons because they were loud and it was late (midnight). The breakfast was AMAZING. We would stay here again if we returned to this area of Switzerland.

• Kyle (10/5): An Ideal Boutique Hotel - If you're looking for a charming boutique hotel on Lake Lucern, look no further than Boutique Hotel Schlussel. I was astounded at the "service", but it doesn't even feel like service. The owners Daniel and Gabrielle are passionate about what they do and are genuinely interested in their guests. There is great parking and I would say that eating at their restaurant is a must as Daniel's cooking is AMAZING!!! I can't wait to come here again!

Er und sein Team haben uns bis zum Schluss das Gefühl gegeben bei Freunden geschlafen zu haben. Leider konnten wir das Abendessen aufgrund einer privaten Feier nicht kosten, aber das Frühstück war vorzüglich mit genauso viel Liebe zubereitet wie die Zimmer gestaltet wurden. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Wir kommen wieder!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Gastfreundlichk.+Verpfleg. stehen im Vordergrund - Waren insgesamt zufrieden. Das Hotel lebt von seiner Gastlichkeit. Hier soll man sehr gut essen können. Ausser dem Frühstück konnten wir dies leider nicht erfahren, da die Gastgeber in Urlaub waren, was uns vorher aber auch bekannt war. Die Zimmer wirken auf den ersten Blick sehr originell, jedoch Badewanne, Dusche und Bett in einem Raum fanden wir wegen der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit nicht so ideal. Sehr störend empfanden wir die quietschenden Holzdielenböden nebenan im Flur, in unserem und über unserem Zimmer.

It is an old house but beautifully renovated preserving the charming things of an old house but with all the confort of a new construction. The staff is simply amazing, friendly, knowledge etc. They make you feel at home. The food is also superb! I would love to go back.

Ich habe noch nie so eine tolle Betreuung erhalten und kann jedem die Unterkunft empfehlen. Die Zimmer haben alles, was man braucht, um mal ein paar Tage abzuschalten. Toller Ausblick auf den See war auch gegeben. Das Frühstück war großartig - es gab alles, was man brauchte. Das Restaurant ist auch sehr sehr gut. Der Dani kocht mit solcher Leidenschaft - da macht es richtig Spass zu essen! Danke an das gesamte Team!
