- Angela (7/5): Motel in Digby - Lovely motel in a good location in Digby, close to shops and restaurants. It's old but being updated. Nice big room with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. A beautiful view of the water and a great deck to sit out on in nice weather. Good parking outside and close to the units. The pillows were a bit lumpy and uncomfortable. The bathroom could really use a towel rail and an extra shelf to put things on.

- Melanie (8/5): Great location for a one night stay. - Loved the location. The room was large and perfect for a one night stay. Staff was nice. The humidity/dampness in the room even tho it was cool outside and the AC was running. May benefit from a better door or weather stripping and maybe a humidifier. The motel the next night was right by the water in Grand Pre and was not damp.

The room was very neat, clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Close to the downtown strip to walk to everything, plus a Sobeys, Superstore and other stores in driving distance. We loved the huge outside seating area with a lookout over the bay - this was a bonus to us as we didn’t realize it was there! A beautiful spot and we’d highly recommend. Nothing! Thank you!

- donna (9/5): the accomodations were clean and affordable, so I would recommend it to anyone - Sitting down by the water on the deck with the 'glassed in' railings was beautiful scenery. The room was very clean and met our needs. We specifically chose Digby because of Ed's Seafood takeout which we found out was no longer open when we arrived, so had to settle for another meal which was Chinese food takeout and as it turned out that food was pretty good.

Seawind has the best deck on the water with a gorgeous view. It is an easy walk to delicious restaurants, great shops a huge boat launch. Absolutely nothing

Also many restaurants, historic spots within walking distance. The staff were very informative and their hospitality was outstanding. I liked everything at this motel.

Simple rooms but very very clean.The grounds are well looked after and they have a beautiful glassed in deck overlooking the water.Walking distance to waterfront park and some good restaurants.
- Geraldine (8/5): Comfortable stay, good location but have to phone to get someone to come to office. - There was no breakfast included so we went to Tim Hortons for breakfast. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and even though the motel is on the main drive into town, there wasn't a lot of traffic so it was quiet. The office sign showed "Open" but the door was locked when we got there in the afternoon and there was a notice on the door to phone for someone to come to the office. It would have been nice to have a button/doorbell to push for a person to come to the office instead of a phone number....what if our battery was dead, we would have been out of luck getting anyone to the office.

- Brigitte (7/5): Einfaches nettes Motel, Preis / Leistung okay. - Zentrale Lage und direkt am Wasser. Das Motel hatte einen schönen Garten mit Sitzgelegenheiten am Meer. Morgens schöner Sonnenaufgang. Die Restaurants waren zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Betten waren etwas zu weich. Im Bad gab es nur wenig Ablagefläche um das Waschbecken rum. Es gab keine Möglichkeit feuchte Handtücher aufzuhängen. Wünschenswert wären auch Kleiderhaken im Bad. Steckdosen gab es spärlich und an ungünstigen Stellen.

Parking right outside the door, we had everything we needed at our fingertips. Excellent waterfront private deck and seating area, fantastic views and a lovely place to spend the evening hours. No sound transfer between units, very well insulated. Great bed, mattress was very supportive, good quality linen. Would have been a bonus to have some breakfast offering available. Bathroom was a little snug in our unit, probably not suitable for wheelchair users, but perhaps other units might have been.

- Lynne (10/5): A must stay on the east coast of Canada - The room was impressive - clean, roomy, had everything a traveller needs including a clothesline and a night light in the washroom. The staff were even more impressive. I was greeted at the door, check in took less than 5 minutes and then we saw another staff member who offered us extra towels because of the rain. And the view was phenomenal - pictures do not do it justice. I would highly recommend this location to everyone, whether it be for one night or an extended stay. I can’t think of anything to improve our stay except perhaps more time to stay longer.

Parkplatz gleich neben unserer Unterkunft, ein grosses Zimmer mit Kaffeemaschine ausgestattet. In dieser Unterkunft wurden nach der 1. Nacht die Betten gemacht, was zuvor weder in Mahone Bay noch in Halifax der Fall war. Die Lage ist sehr gut - zu Fuss gelangt man bequem zum Zentrum von Digby. Vom Garten aus, sieht man den herrlichen Sonnenaufgang, direkt am Meer gelegen. alles bestens :-)

Great value for the price point. - Older but nicely updated, and very clean oceanfront motel, has a 40 ft balcony over the water with a lovely view for guest use. Great place to sit and chill out after a day of sightseeing.The air conditioned unit was roomy with comfortable beds and a kitchenette. Breakfast was not included, but eating options were a short distance away, as was a large grocery store. Coffee maker and supplies were in the unit. Staff, including the owner, were friendly and helpful. And no problems with wifi connection, as we have experienced several times at large chain hotels on this trip! was friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about!

- Collette (9/5): Beautiful location, clean and spacious cottage, very safe for female travelers. - The view was stunning, the beds so comfy and the cottage with parking was so clean, staff extremely helpful when asked questions and amendable to help. The location of the cottage is excellent and close to lovely restaurants and bars. There was nothing not to like however my assumption with a kitchenette would be that we would at least be provided with cutlery and plates and bowls. It was not a problem as the owner provided plastic cutlery when asked and dollerama was 2 mins up the road and 2 plates and bowls were $6.

- Kenneth (8/5): Comfortable stay at Seawinds motel, Digby. - The friendly welcome from the staff member on duty. The accommodation was older style cottage but there was plenty of room, it was clean and had all the facilities we needed.
