• Barbara (9/5): Ruhig & schön gestaltet - Sehr schönes Haus mit großem Garten und Pool, sehr gutes Frühstück mit großer Auswahl, großes Zimmer und Bad; guter Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern rund um Geres; sehr ruhig gelegen Unterkunft liegt sehr abgelegen, zu den nächsten Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind es mind. 15 Minuten Autofahrt; ein Restaurant fußläufig in der Nähe wäre schön gewesen
• Johannes Antonius (8/5): Mooi verblijf - Het is een prachtige locatie waar overal leuke hoekjes zijn gecreëerd om te chillen. Mooie tuin en beplanting, mooi interieur. Heel lekker en vers ontbijt. Een paar dingetjes die wat minder waren was wat geluidsoverlast van blaffende honden of mensen die aan het werk waren. De omgeving voelt niet heel rustig. Het parkeren was soms een uitdaging.

The host was absolutely lovely and caring - she provided us with an extensive list of activities in the region and had a great attention to details. Last but not least, the breakfast was fabulous, with homemade jams and patés. Nothing, it was honestly perfect and within (even above) expectations.

Ein netter Pool zum Abkühlen und ein unglaublich tolles Frühstück mit hausgemachtem Brot, leckeren Käsesorten, zahlreichen Früchten usw. Wir haben selten so ein tolles Frühstück erlebt. Es würde sich anbieten in der Anlage abends Kleinigkeiten anzubieten wie Tapas & Wein. Die Restaurants sind leider nur per Auto erreichbar.

The location is too far from the reservation, and in a remote village with not much to do in. Its difficult to park over there. The staff was OK but not more than that. The price is too high for what you get.

• rafael (10/5): We felt at home and relaxed during our stay. - We loved our stay at casa do Eido. We stayed for 6 days and we left wishing we had stayed longer. Ana is an amazing host and made us feel at home. The room was super comfy and it even had everything prepared to welcome our dog as well :) The breakfast was one of the highest points of our morning and we already miss the home-made cakes. We highly recommend to anyone who wishes to relax surrounded by nature!

• Daniela Monteiro (10/5): Wonderful weekend getaway at Casa do Eido - Casa do Eido was a beautiful getaway in the middle of Gerês. The owner and the staff were lovely and prepared a delicious breakfast. The facilities were beautiful with a rustic but comfortable space and everything was very clean and well kept. The property is also at a great distance from hotspots on Gerês and restaurants. It’s a great destination for a weekend getaway with a partner, friend or alone. I will certainly be returning.
• Cornelie (8/5): Heel erg mooie locatie. - Dit is vooral een heel mooie locatie. Echt idyllisch en romantisch. De kamers zijn prachtig. Ontbijt is erg lekker. Het is toch best klein. Er zijn vier ligbedjes rondom het zwembad, maar dan is het ook wel vol, er is geen plek voor nog meer mensen, terwijl er wel meer gasten zijn. Zelfde geldt voor ontbijt, het is allemaal net wat krap. Vind deze accommodatie uiteindelijk best aan de prijs voor het totaal.

From the beautifully renovated country farm accommodation to the peace and quiet, to the warm welcome and service - everything is literally perfect. Ana is the best host ever - we'd done plenty of research on the area before arriving but her guidance and advice reshaped our plans for the better. Everything she suggested from local restaurants to the best hikes was spot on! Her eye for detail is insane, every space is perfectly designed and curated with plants, natural lights, soft furnishings.. and then the breakfast! Healthy, top quality, with freshly made bread, cake, juices, home made yoghurt, eggs, fruit - everything single thing is top quality and served up beautifully! There's a gorgeous pool, a fresh natural spring to refill your water bottles to take out hiking, i mean literally a little spot of paradise you will not want to leave! That we had to leave and didn't have more time lounging around in the various little beds, sofas and cubbies around the property!

Ana, the hostess, is very sweet and gives good advice and makes sure you feel welcome. Good location close to the national park. Showers are in a bathtub and not build for tall people :)

A casa é lindíssima, decorada com extremo bom gosto — sentimo-nos em casa desde o primeiro momento. O espaço exterior é simplesmente maravilhoso: uma piscina impecável, perfeita para relaxar, e zonas de descanso muito bem cuidadas. Um dos destaques foi o celeiro convertido numa área comum de lazer — um ambiente acolhedor e original, ideal para momentos tranquilos ou convívio. A limpeza é impecável e o conforto geral da casa é notável.Houve algo nesta casa, nas paredes em pedra, nas flores espalhadas pelos jardins e no verde envolvente, que me remontou à infância, aos verões passados em casa dos meus avós. A privacidade e o silêncio são constantes, permitindo um descanso e reflexão profunda.O pequeno-almoço, preparado com esmero pela Ana, foi outro ponto alto, repleto de detalhes que demonstram cuidado e hospitalidade genuína. Senti falta de uma máquina de café disponível para os hóspedes fora do horário do pequeno-almoço, algo que teria complementado ainda mais o conforto da estadia. Além disso, a localização, embora maravilhosa para quem procura tranquilidade, encontra-se a alguma distância do centro do Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês, o que pode exigir algum planeamento adicional para explorar a região. Ainda assim são detalhes que em nada comprometem a experiência global.

Only wish we stayed more t - Ana was an amazing hostess and so committed to making our stay a special treat. Loved the remote location especially after the hustle and bustle of Lisbon and Porto. The family home that was converted to a B & B 10 years ago was exceptionally comfortable and has so much character and ambience. Ana served an incredible breakfast. Everything so fresh, healthy and tasty. A little cold to use the pool but with all the wonderful hiking around we didn’t have time. Ana gave us great recommendations for hikes and restaurants and we took those to heart and were very grateful. Only small issue was the beautiful bathroom had very little room to lay out toiletries etc.

• Leticia (10/5): - Fantastic stay at Casa do Eido, very comfortable house and rooms. Breakfast was superb, with a new cake every morning and fresh orange juice. Despite the rain, we felt right at home and Ana is a great host. Our dog Rio loved it too. We plan to come back when it's not so rainy.

• Michael (10/5): The perfect retreat in a beautiful setting. - We stayed for eight days but this was not long enough, wish we could have stayed even longer! Anna's place is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Anna went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The breakfasts were a great mix of local and homemade produce. Special mention should also go to the friendly little black and white cat who kept us company throughout our stay. We can't wait to hopefully come back one day!

Vriendelijk personeel. Rustige ligging. Te kleine kamer voor 70 plussers. Weinig plek voor 2 koffers. Parkeren is best wel een probleem vanwege de nauwe straat. Priveparkeren lukte niet altijd vanwege problemen met het slot van het toegangshek of een geparkeerde auto voor het toegangshek. Weinig restaurants in de directe omgeving.

• Hugo (3/5): - Do espaço, do conforto, das comodidades. 1) Preço cobrado ao animal de companhia. 2) Esse preço, 30€/noite, só aparece após pagamento da reserva, onde nas condições assinalava que "podem ser cobradas taxas", mas não diz quais. 3) Aquando da apresentação do espaço, seguindo eu com a responsabilidade de ter a minha cachorra à trela, foi esta atacada pela gata pertencente ao espaço, isto à frente da responsável pelo alojamento. 4) A minha cadela ficou cheia de receio de estar no espaço, pois, a mesma gata, voltou a aparecer no espaço comum, aquele que assinalam só ser permitido ter pets à trela, tendo a minha cadela ficado sempre debaixo de uma espreguiçadeira. 5) Este encontro indesejável, voltou a acontecer, ao pequeno almoço, o que originou que tivesse que deixar a minha cadela no quarto e de seguida, fazer o check-out "antecipado". O dano físico da minha cadela é ligeiro, mas o interno é difícil de medir. Paguei bem caro para passar um dia de qualidade e por causa destas ocorrências e pela inércia em resolver a situação pelo staff, a estadia ficou estragada. Não houve qualquer sensibilidade em minimizar os danos ou compensar! Não aconselho como petfriendly.

• Eric Vdw (10/5): Een guesthouse waar je thuis komt. - Uiterst vriendelijke en behulpzame jonge gastvrouw. Het guesthouse is een ware droom in echte cottagestijl ingericht met fantastisch gezellige kamers in een oude kleine wijnboerderij en heerlijk en smaakvol gedecoreerd. De ligging is uiterst rustig in een klein dorp op enkele km van het prachtige Nat. Park Peneda & Gerēs. Het ontbijt is uiterst verzorgd met lokale en dagverse producten. Kamers dagelijks gepoetst en verse badhanddoeken. Meerdere relaxruimten in tuin en huis en mooi gelegen zwembad. Heerlijk na een zwerftocht met de auto of een vermoeiende hicking in het Nat. Park. De parkeergelegenheid is niet zo toegankelijk voor een iets ruimere wagen maar toch geen reden om er niet heen te gaan.

• Simone (10/5): Unbedingt empfehlenswert - Das Casa do Eido ist ein wunderschön restauriertes altes Haus, überall sind geschmackvolle Sitz oder Ruheplätze. Bis ins kleinste Detail, ist das Haus von den aufmerksamen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeberinnen Anna und ihrer Schwester Rosa wunderbar eingerichtet. Auch wer ein gesundes und leckeres Frühstück zu schätzen weiß, z.B. viele frische Früchte, kommt hier auf seine Kosten. Wir haben mehrere schöne Wanderungen im Naturschutzgebiet unternommen, unter anderem direkt vom Haus ausgehend, und wurden bei der Auswahl der Wanderung bestens von den Gastgeberinnen beraten. Zu den umliegenden Restaurants muss man zwar abends 15-20 Minuten fahren, aber das haben wir gerne in Kauf genommen. Ein Abendessen in dem Kloster finden wir besonders empfehlenswert. Falls wir wieder einmal einen Urlaub in Nord Portugal planen sollten, würden wir dort wieder für mehrere Tage einen Aufenthalt einplanen. Vielen lieben Dank an Anna und Rosa 🙏🏼

• Maarten Ooms (10/5): - Heerlijk ontbijt! alles zelf gemaakt, heel vers, gevarieerd en uitstekende ingredienten. Mooi zwembad met allerlei loungeplekken, fijne ligbedden. Op verzoek drankjes bij het zwembad beschikbaar en overdag fruit en cake. Heerlijk rustig en kleinschalig.
