The hole between the bed and the bathroom... I mean, no matter who you are staying with, and no matter how close you are to each other - that is something wrong there. This was funny and sad at the same time.

We really enjoyed that it felt like a home, very warm, and more in the countryside than near a city. And it was a very nice breakfast!!! Overall, very good! The rooms are very small and close with very thin walls. But, this is Portugal, so, it's not really the fault of the establishment, we understand. :)

• Ulrich (10/5): Beautiful - Recommended - We arrived at this beautiful, quaint village only to discover that we had messed up our booking date and had NOT booked for that night. Pedro and Marci were amazing and immediately got us settled. This place is astonishing—beautiful architecture and design, loads of little niceties for guests like tea and almond cookies on arrival. We loved the austere warmth of the old beams and fixtures paired with soft lighting, a gabled roof, a skylight, warm blankets, with everything spotlessly clean. The breakfast was wonderful and the communal areas were so comfortable and cozy! What a wonderful place!

• Daniel (8/5): This is in an excellent location for short stays to explore this region and very convenient for catching the regional tr - Pedro was an excellent host and spoke very good English. The breakfast was laid out with a variety of breads, meat, cheese and sweets. The coffee was good. My only criticisms will be constructive. It would be nice to have better lighting on the stairs and for reading in the public sitting areas. Some method of heating or dehumidifying the rooms would be good. Sound insulation in floors and walls of the guest rooms woukd be great, as you hear most voices or noise from downstairs or the other rooms, (luckily it was not very busy when I stayed in Nov 2022)

• Lee (10/5): Excellent for Lines of Torres Vedras - The guest house owner has refurbished this old building to a very high standard and the attention to detail made our two day stay a real pleasure. The full breakfast service was exceptional and rates among the best. Our room was compact, but stylish. A satnav will get you to the location, but you will need to be careful with the very narrow streets in the village. Parking is okay, but a little tight. Overall, a delightful place to stay, but cash will be required.
