• Susen (8/5): - Freundlicher Empfang, gemütliches Frühstück, großes Zimmer, leider auch ein paar Spinnenweben am Türrahmen und die Matratzen sollten erneuert werden, diese waren schon leicht durchgelegen.

• CENGIZ (8/5): - Konumu eşsiz, tarihi noktalarına yürüme mesafesinde, yatak başlıkları ve iskelet demirden antika bir görüntüsü var ama keşke yatakta böyle antika olmasaydı. Yine de kahvalatı gayet iyiydi ve ilginen orta yaşlı hanımefendi çok ilgiliydi.
• Karina (6/5): - Super liebe Besitzerin, tolle Lage, tolles Frühstück. Leider ist der Zustand der Zimmer extrem herunter gekommen. Ich spreche nicht davon, dass das Gebäude und die Zimmer alt sind. Das ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Aber für den Preis erwarte ich keine durchgelegenen Matratzen, einen Fön, der nicht kurz vorm Überhitzen steht und einen heilen Duschkopf. Wie gesagt, alles sonst war fein und toll, aber diese Dinge waren einfach nicht zu übersehen bei dem Preis. Gerne würde ich nochmal zu Gast sein, da es sonst einfach eine top Lage ist und super nette Mitarbeiter.

• adventurer412 (10/5): - I am giving this place 5 stars because it is what it says it is. A good value pension in a great location of the old town of Vienna. The rooms are basic but clean and have the necessities. Our room, 106, had a private bathroom with shower. A car would be difficult to have at this location. But it's perfect for the lightweight luggage public transportation travelor. There is street noise in the big city so expect that. The owner is pleasant, helpful, and puts out a nice brunch every morning. This place is great for the budget travelor as Vienna can be quite expensive.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good all around - Nice vaulted ceilings, spacious room, great location right next door to the best taco/burrito shop in Vienna. Didn't like how the bed was just two twin beds put together, but they probably have other rooms with real double beds. It's a bit hard to find, you have to walk through an apartment building entrance, but not that big of a deal.

• Barry (10/5): Best Pensioner in a Great City - Amazing pensioner and great location. We walked to everything, The owner was very helpful and put together the best continental breakfast we have had in our Eastern Europe travels. Quiet, comfortable and great value. Highly recommend this gem.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Bad start to the stay - Our stay at the Pension Lerner did not get off to a good start, we arrived at the hotel to find that we couldn't get into the reception. We had notified the hotel that we would be arriving early 7.30am and were told that there would be someone on reception from 7.15am so that wasn't a problem. The hotel is located inside a building with other businesses, there is a door that is locked outside of usual business hours which you require a key to get into. As we hadnt checked in yet we didnt have access to the inside of the building so we had to go a nearby cafe where we stayed for an hour, I phoned repeatedly with no reply, eventually we got inside the building only to find we couldnt get inside the actual hotel. We sat outside the door for another hour before a hotel guest left and we eventually got inside only to find there were no staff anywhere to be found. Guests were wandering around the breakfast area looking for food and left to fend for themselves. Another half hour passes and eventually a staff member (possibly the owner) arrived, she was very appologetic and explained an illness had meant no one was there to man the reception. Apart from the bad start the rest of the stay passed without incident, breakfast was ok and the location was quiet and within walking distance of the centre and attractions. Bedroom was comfortable and clean but could do with a bit of a makeover. Free wifi which is a good bonus and fan in the room which was great for hot days.
• Alison (8/5): Clean, good value & friendly - Great stay very clean & good value for money. Our room was near reception & we had noisy neighbours so not so great for a light sleeper. The ladies that run this place are lovely and very helpful.
• ashlee (8/5): Nice hotel close to city center in district 1 - Picked this hotel because it was in the center of Vienna close to the ring among other things. Hotel was slightly hard to find as the address brings you to the lower street and you have to walk up the stairs and around the corner to find the entrance. This hotel is set up more like apartments. You get a key upon arrival to let yourself into the building and then another to allow you into the hotel entrance. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. We had an early train and they left us a variety of breakfast items in the fridge. Overall a good stay especially for the the price and location

• Peter (6/5): Well priced room with excellent breakfast - The room was as I expected but it is unusual to have ahsower in the room but a toilet elsewhere. The breakfast was excellent. The whole place was warm and the bed comfortable. The only problem I had was a high pitched noise that was intermittent at night. Also there was external noise in the road outside fairly early in the morning.

Great location near old City Hall, friendly staff, very good breakfast served from 7:30. Room with high ceiling and spacious, perfectly working shower. We had a toilet outside the room, but private:) If you open the window, it is somewhat noisy at a workday morning.
• Gary (10/5): Great experience at Pension Lerner - This place was great. The service was wonderful. We checked out late morning on a Sunday, but left our bags in the office with hotel staff until nearly 8 pm, when we were catching a bus to the airport. Very accommodating staff who spoke English very proficiently and were also helpful with directions. The complementary breakfast of meats, cheeses, bread, eggs, yogurt, etc etc was above and beyond. The neighborhood itself is startlingly quiet in the morning, so you are ensured a restful sleep. Easy walking distance from many shops, restaurants, and tourist sights (including the Hofburg, MQ, Staatsoper, Burgtheater, Rathaus, Parliament, etc). Within a few weeks of Easter, there are a couple of Easter markets just around the corner. A bus from the airport drops off and picks up about 10 minutes away by foot.
• Verified traveler (6/5): U got what u paid for - Not easy to find- located at 1/2 floor in a little creepy building (very quiet at night, you may be scared if you're alone). Location- not really centre of attractions- but walkable. Breakfast is healthy, comes with good fruits yogurt and fresh juice. Staff is really friendly and nice but reception is until 7.30pm only u have no one till the next day morning. Weak wifi in the room though (sometimes not working). Weird sound in the room, i am not sure what noise is that, we thought it is the heater but there is still noise after we turned off the heater. Not funny when u were awaken by those noise in the middle of the night. Overall it was a cool experience. Worth what u paid for. Huge thanks to the staff- I think her name is Veronica (short hair). She has the most friendliest smile and service! Thank you

• CHAU (10/5): Good location, lovely staff, great breakfast - The location is perfect for the price. It's just a 10 or 15 minute walk to Stephanplatz or Herengrasse. The room is old but well kept. The shower and sink are in the room, but the toilet is outside (although it's reserved for the specific room, not an issue for me). The staff is extremely nice and well trained. On check out day, I left my luggage with reception until late. The nice lady was gracious enough to give me another set of keys to get in in case staff has left for the night. The entrance is a little confusing because I came to the door on the street below. Staff directed me to climb up the overpass and enter through the Wiplingerstrasse entrance. Breakfast is great, and there are plenty of choice. This was the best hotel of its type throughout my 2 month Europe trip.

• Ann (8/5): Small pension in perfect location. - We had a wonderful stay. the location was great - only a few minutes from the old city, shopping, restaurants, etc. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great!!!
• Lesley (6/5): A bargain for location and breakfast. - The location, staff and breakfast are excellent and a bargain. It needs a little sprucing up. For those guests (like me) who may need to get up at night to use the toilet... Ask for a room with that inside. Our shower and sink were inside, but toilet was down the hall. Such nice people!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Good value in a great location - The location is ideal - within easy walking of many of the major sights and not far from public transport either. Plenty in the immediate neighbourhood in terms of cafes, restaurants etc. but just far enough away from the very centre that it remains reasonably quiet. There's no major luxury, but then it's not intended to be a luxury stay. However, the room was reasonably large, the bed was comfortable, everything worked and everything was clean. The daily breakfast buffet was more than adequate. The service was friendly and efficient. At this price for this location it would be difficult to beat Pension Lerner. It's a very different experience from the usual chain hotels, but that's part of what we liked about it.

• Ellen (10/5): Charming hotel - I had such a wonderful times to this charming hotel. The rooms are simpler it beautiful and tasteful. The breakfast is fantastic. The young woman who makes the lovely breakfast was so kind and helpful and gave me very explicit directions with a map every day. I met the owner on the last day and she was as lovely as her hotel. The only drawback was no a/c but I neglected to check. I would highly recommend this lovely gem to anyone visiting Vienna!!
