- Marie (7/5): Hotel Stay - The breakfast had good offerings and something for everyone. The pool was nice sized and the hotel was pet friendly in an otherwise not pet friendly demographic. The hallways were kept at an absolutely ungodly temperature for spring days. The mattress in our room made a really odd sound everytime you moved on it. The light by the mirror did not turn on when the switch was used unless you hit it 2 or 3x. There was one elevator that serviced almost the entire facility and it was not centrally located to the activity areas of the hotel. Just an overall odd layout to the hotel. The door to let your pet out was not able to be opened from the outside, so if the door was closed you needed to walk around the entire hotel to get to the front door. The pool was nice sized but the bathroom facilities in it were not checked frequently enough for the amount of people staying the weekend and there was poop on the floor.

Only when the jets were on though. The breakfast was mediocre, and very far away from the rooms. The staff when we arrived was not attentive and it took way too long to get someone at the front desk so we could check in.

The kiddie pool with slides , tunnels, water features and warm water was perfect for my 8 month old granddaughter first experience of a pool!! Staff very friendly and helpful! Our room was great with a two person hot tub ,king bed, fireplace and sofa! It gave my son and his wife some private time while baby and I went swimming! I will definitely come back! The breakfast had eggs, sausage, bread, muffins, bananas, apples, cereal, waffles, pancakes!

Room was not fully cleaned (food crumbs on bed, dust on furniture), coffee packets were open/not replaced, towels and sheets smelled like chlorine (not sure if they were just not replaced or not washed properly?), and when I went to check out the person at the front desk was asleep and snoring on the desk. It was about 7:30 am.

- Sage (4/5): Rude as hell. - The breakfast, front desk, housekeeping staff was great, the general manager "Tom" was rude when asking questions about check in on the phone. I got a call on my check in day that i only paid for 2 of the 3 rooms i booked for 5 nights when on website i clearly paid for all 3 rooms. Then check in wasnt as smooth as I liked, upon arrival on top of all the money I paid up front for the 5 night stay I had another 220 dollar incendental charge that had to be paid at front desk which wasnt clear in my booking when paid up front to rent. When asking about the charges because originally it was 320 dollars then turned to 220 some how. And for voted "best breakfast," they could of added biscuits and gravy with bacon for how much I had to pay to stay the breakfast isn't all that great. Won't be coming back for how rude Tom was on the phone, especially because they started the day calling me trying to charge my card for the 3rd room I obviously paid for in advance time. Waste of money.

Was racist towards my children. Had put me and my children out after being there not even 4.5 hours. My children don’t cause no issues or problems with anyone there! Was barely even at the hotel to cause any problems!

He charged my card without prior authorization, which is completely unacceptable. Throughout my stay, I witnessed him speaking to his staff in a highly condescending and disrespectful manner, often in front of guests. His attitude toward me as a customer was equally rude and unwelcoming. This conduct reflects very poorly on the establishment, and in my opinion, the hotel’s star rating should be seriously re-evaluated...

- U8050NGcindyd (2/5): Not what I expected! - We came here with our grandkids in Oct. They had off school for Columbus day. (Sunday to Monday ) First no one was at the front desk. I had to call for someone to come out. He acted like I was a inconvenience. They wouldn't let us check in before 4 pm. Said the rooms weren't clean yet. You can't tell me not one room was clean before 4pm! I made reservations for two Queen room. They gave me a two queen with sofa sleeper. Told me that's what I reserved. No it wasn't! The charge was higher too. I asked for a AAA discount. He said I got it. We were not happy. Not coming here again!

Inviting check in area. Snacks available for purchase. Indoor pool/hot tub. Also outdoor pool. Very clean property inside and outside. Our King/tub room was spacious and included micro wave and small fridge, ironing board and iron. Room has updated conveniences like bedside USB plugins.

The pool, hot tib and Kiddie water area kept our 5 year old very busy for a few hours located off I 90 exit 92 and not a far drive to get to any attractions will always come back

- PhillipE120 (2/5): Not worth what I paid by a long shot - This place is located in a very questionable part of town. Located next to a run down ponderosa and gas station combo. They charge a $20 a night resort fee, on top of their exorbitant room rates. The staff is entirely foreign. And didn’t understand even half of what I was saying. This place pretty much sucks, despite not actually being a resort of any kind. At best it’s a sub par hotel, that is extremely overpriced. I will never come back, and it pretty much ruined my vacation

Plus I had a handful of popcorn and when we were getting out of our car, I threw the popcorn on the ground for the birds . Then when I went into the lobby, the attendant told me that was unnecessary to throw popcorn on the ground. It wasn't litter. He said it needed swept up. He was very rude and told me no food is to be thrown on the ground or parking lot. Very rude customer service. We paid for 3 nights, but I was so mad we checked out on the 2 and day. They wouldn't refund me for the other night we didn't stay. I would never recommend this Wingate. It's privately owed, not company.
