Guest Reviews
- Lamont (10/5): - Location and the environment
- Adrian (4/5): - The wifi was not working when we arrived and then we called the manager and he gave us a wrong password. It was frustrating since we had some work to do and we needed wifi, it was until we figure out that the password was the one located at the modem. The other issue is that they only gave us one key and we needed at least two keys since my husband and I were not going to be together all the time. Elevators were very slow and only three out of 6 were working
- dalva (10/5): - Amazing views!
- Ahmet (2/5): Miami nightmare - There were number of issues with this trip. First of the payment of this stay came up more than what we signed up on Hotels.com. For a unit like this, the TV was an old model which did not have any applications like Netflix. The iron was also leaking, missing number of silverwares. Even though we requested an earlier entry to the unit since it was our daughter's birthday, they told us that it will be noted but did not let us in until 4:00 pm. We can understand that they are not obligated to let us in earlier, but the way it was handled really questioned my willingness to visit this unit again.
When we checked into the unit, we wanted to get our pool cards and they told us that we can only get it the next day.
Overall, everything we wanted seemed like an issue that needed to be dealt with. When I am on vacation, this is the last thing that I like to deal with.
I am sharing this so everyone can understand this property. Also there was an issue with hotels.com as well since we were over charged, it took us number of chats with their support to get our money back. Basically, for no reason, we were over charged more than what we signed up at their website.
- CHELSEA (4/5): - The unit itself needs a lot of work and improvements, it is pretty ghetto. The furniture is trashed and repairs within the unit need work. Besides that, the pool and amenities are great, location was perfect. The communication with the host when I arrived was disappointing.
- Jeremiah (2/5): - The building it’s self looks nice just not the rental property
- Jared (2/5): - I didn't get to stay. No one sent me check in instructions and there is no one here to let us in. No one is answering the phone exceptthe emergency contact and he said he can'thelp besides send the online check in. I drove 4 hours with my pregnant wife and can't get into the room I prepaid for. I need a refund because I have to find somewhere else to stay.
- Victoria (10/5): - Within a mile of Bay Front Park. We didn't have a car during our stay, but there were plenty of amenities close (the apartment offered a full kitchen), and a row of food trucks we could see from our room, coffee shop in lobby of W hotel, Whole Foods a short walking distance among a shopping mall. Apartment was very spacious with full amenities (washer/dryer, dishwasher), walk out balcony. Host was very responsive and we felt safe during our stay.
- Johnny (6/5): - Good location. Sliding glass doors do not lock and lots of wind noise. Sliding glass doors need replacing.
- Jessica (10/5): - Every thing was perfect
- anjeliah (10/5): - I loved the penthouse ! The communication needs work but overall the place was gorgeous loved the location we were in . Will book again !
- Penny (10/5): - Great location, hostess was excellent, property was clean and staff was pleasant. Will definitely be returning.
- Calvin (4/5): - It's in the heart, restaurants and entertainment within steps. The view from the balcony was pleasant.
Parking is across the road, not convenient. Host was impatient with the check in- multiple properties on site made it confusing at first.
The place was clean and a bit outdated. Carpet was stained, shades didn't function, furniture uncomfortable, old/small tv's. The bed was very comfortable. It was functional and affordable, no frills. Great if you're on a budget, look elsewhere if you're in vacation mode.
- Ayoyinka (10/5): - We loved the ambience
- Rawl (10/5): - Excellent property and a phenomenal view, and very secure.
- Dranae (4/5): - I loved the view and the big mirror, however the tv box was messed up the jet tub didn’t work, and they didn’t tell us. Our host didn’t walk us up or tell us anything we needed to know.
- Steven (6/5): - Easily could have been a 5 star review with bit more effort by the manager/owner. The place was simply under-provisioned. Barely any soap/shampoo/conditioner. Hardly any silverware. Light bulbs out, with the light over the stove not working.
They did an amazing job cleaning the floor, but the balcony had remnants from the last guest.
Check-in was chaos, although made worse by a fire alarm and the building manager was unable to reset the elevators, so we waited 80 minutes to get upstairs. One of those things…
This easily could have been a top review with a great location and a great apartment. A bit more attention to detail would do it.
- zepyur (2/5): - Everything was disgusting! Hair everywhere, in the shower on the towels we got in and out of there. We didn’t even stay. They sent someone to take photos - she found more hair/ the sheets were dirty too
- Carlos (2/5): - When I arrived at the property for check in I was given the keys as I went up to the room the elevator doors opened to this disgusting yellow color painted on the walls from floor to ceiling making you feel like you are in the twilight zone. The hallway to the unit smelled like marihuana and tobacco and was full of stains pretty disgusting. As I got to the unit to open the door I was greeted with what looked like blood smear on the door and a poorly maintained door. I opened the apartment door and it smelled like humidity and you could tell that the apartment was neglected old and gross. The curtains barely worked and were full of mold in the bottom plus they wouldn’t close all the way. The bed was super gross and uncomfortable and the pillows on the bed looked like they had been used, the pillows where made of a cheap type of foam, similar to the foam you find in chicken egg boxes. The bathroom has a tall tub which is zero friendly to people in their late 50-70s it’s impossible to get in and out of that shower and there is what looks to be more old smeared blood on the wall next to the toilet and some nasty brown stains by the tub on the tiles. They provide two sets of towels for your entire stay which smell like chlorine. When I called Expedia to voice my complaints they offered me a 200 inconvenience credit which I never got and when they tried to reach the so called property manager she was nowhere to be found and would erratically answer text messages. Avoid this place!
- Marcia Ann (8/5): - Very well located
- Seema (6/5): - Property location and views. Property amenities
- Seema (8/5): - Property location and view from unit was excellent. But property itself had issues. By coincidence I had stayed in the same property a year ago. I had no idea about the unit number because they do not assign at the time of booking I noticed the issues I had pointed out year ago were still the same after one year that means nothing was taken care of the shower in second bathroom was not working had a very little flow. The sink in both bathrooms were not draining properly, and nothing had been taken care, we faced the same issues. I called for maintenance. The guy came but he said he could not fix it. It needs replacement. I called 45 times to get new towels and I was told somebody will bring but we stayed for four nights and no one came till we checked out. I don’t think that should be acceptable especially when the issue has been going on for one year.
- FERHAT (6/5): - Nice property, nice view
Very bad customer service!
- Payam (8/5): - Too many rules for people staying in the property.
think about simplifying them as I was confused and under tension when leaving.
I was there for a business trip and I did not have a chance to read everything.
I was not there for fun as life is busy at work.
- Peter (10/5): Great Condo! - Great apartment - well appointed throughout / killer view of Biscayne Bay and the City scape / nice deck and overall location to shopping, restaurants, walking / running / biking / parks etc. Will stay again.
- Marcela (8/5): - The apartment was beautiful, no wifi tho, not as pristine clean as I expected
- James (6/5): - It was nice
- Darren (6/5): Check in and check out! - Appalling check in and check out! Great staff in the gym! The certain staff in the pool area and the bar should not be in the hospitality business at all! I’ll think twice before staying here again!
- LORENZO (2/5): - My room was extremely hot my entire stay. My host was nowhere to be found after giving me the keys, and the maintenance guys never came to fix the problem.
- MIGUEL (8/5): - The principal bed si old. The towells are old.
- Marquita (10/5): - We really enjoyed the views, kitchen, and comfortable bed. The only issue was the lightening in the bedroom (it was flickering and eventually went out) and the water in the shower didn’t get as hot as we wouldn’t it to. But those little issues didn’t ruin our stay. We still loved it!! Thanks.
- Ashley John (10/5): - Excellent location, amenities, spacious appt and vibrant location with shops, restaurants and ample running possibilities.
- Mahmoud (2/5): - If you rent from Expedia and you rent from this property, you will not get any of your money back. Even if the condition of the place that you were staying at is disgusting the toilet did not work throughout the whole stay. The bathroom walls were nasty. there were nasty pillows stains on the throw pillows and the couch had dry stains and the whole apartment needed to be fixed. When I try to receive my money back Expedia said they couldn’t help me and the property managers at the icon refuse to give me my money back. For future reference always book a fully refundable hotel.
- Jose Orlando (4/5): Not so presidential - It was terrible all the way. First of all it was a presidential suite where 5 people could stay. At the time of reservation it showed 2 full beds and 1 king bed. King bed was horrendous. The other two were twin beds. So no, 5 people could not stay unless the person was to crash at the sofa. Living room rug absolutely discoustingly dirty. They only accepted 4 people at the pool so why would you offer 5 people if one cannot enjoy the facilities? For $2100 dollars it was a scam.
- Indell (2/5): - I don’t like it rental owner are rude and no Wi-Fi
- casandra (2/5): - Most of the staff is rude and unhelpful. Check in was horrible. The phone number provided to notify of desired check in , no one answers o returns calls. I told the front desk I was having trouble reaching someone to meet for check in and they provided no assistance. Instead acting like it was a funny joke I couldn’t reach someone to check me in.
I also left a package behind and the lost and found is completely off the hinge. I had my friend who was also staying at the Icon try and pick the package up. I had given my name and who the package is from along with my friends name to the lost and found department in advance. They did not bother to check ID and they gave her the wrong package. When I informed lost and found they were totally rude, took no responsibility and threatened to call the police of the package wasn’t returned. I asked to speak to the manager and was informed that this hostile man I had been dealing with was head of security. When I learned my friend had left the package in her room upon checkout that was not good enough. The threats continued.
I would NEVER stay at the Icon again!
- Steven (8/5): - We went for the Spa. I was disappointed, but my girlfriend was happy. Beautiful middle-aged property, holding up well with lots of TLC.
- qusay (8/5): - It's so nice view, area and saiz of the apartment.
The bad think is old furniture with low service.
- Jovana (6/5): - I didn't like the reservation/check in process. You have to wait to check in with a "host" aka 3rd party and the condo front reception staff is extremely rude when you even ask them any questions. They don't like their jobs and it reflects badly. I thought I was waiting at the free cheese government line they way they were handling customers. The lady in front of me was upset and the employee helping her was like "I don't care". They were complaining about her right in front of me. That's such an unprofessional way to handle guests. That's already a bad start to my stay. They weren't nice or courteous. I had asked about checking in my bags so I can explore the hotel and for a phone charger. Their answers no, short and without any options. Basically like we don't care or want to help you, beat it type of attitude. It was really disgusting and one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. I had to lung my suitcase around the hotel trying to explore which was very annoying after I was told by the host that I could check my bags in with the front. The place itself was standard nice condo building but don't expect any good treatment from the front staff or for them to help you with anything. To top it off, the A/C unit wasn't working and I could hear the airplanes coming in all night. Let's just say I wouldn't book the Icon Residences again. To be fair, the 3rd party keeps their units clean and the lady host who meet with me to check me in was nice.
- Daniel (2/5): - Did everything on my end that I was asked to. (Completing the "Self Service Portal"). Sent an email to ask questions prior to my trip, still haven't got a response. Called after finding out that my initial flight down would be delayed 24 hours, talked to some guy, explained my situation and also told him I didn't have a cell phone. That's important, because it asks you to call your "host" (who's contact info I was never given) 10-15 minutes prior to arrival at the property, so they can meet you there. I was told, don't worry, just come to the lobby and we'll call your host from here. That was the complete opposite of what happened. When I got there to "check-in", I was told that it was a residence, not a hotel and you can't just check-in. I showed him what info I had, which included my Booking # I received from Icon Residences, to which the "manager" said, "That's not how it works, that (info) means nothing to me." He told me I'd have to call Expedia to get the name of my "host", to which I told him, "I don't have a cell phone, I told somebody that yesterday, when I called". Instead of offering me a phone to make that call, he made me feel like an idiot and dismissed me. With nowhere to go from there, I had to find somewhere else to stay on short notice, because clearly nothing was going to happen here with this so called "manager". I ended up staying at The Hampton Inn & Suites, which I highly recommend. This was the worst experience I've ever while travelling.
- RICHARD (10/5): - Location
- Natalie (6/5): - I felt for the price the room should have been cleaner . There were little hairs everywhere . The shower is very hard to get into the water pressure was terrible and the water didn’t get very hot . Loved the views but that’s about it
- Shawn (10/5): - Highly recommended
- Drenard (8/5): - Nice place would stay there again
- Santiago (8/5): - Great location. Check-in is not that easy. A little cold at night. An extra blanket would be nice.
- Sean (6/5): - location was great.
- Noel (2/5): - An absolute nightmare!!This place was a nightmare from the start, when we arrived there, Friday afternoon, it was a madhouse of crowd in the lobby. We had to text our “host” to meet us to be able to check in and be assigned our room. When we entered our room, it was filthy, absolutely disgusting!!!! The presidential suite looks like someone’s old and crusty apartment, they were broken tiles, dust and mildew on the vents. The couch and furniture was dirty, and there was filth everywhere. I did not even want to sit down. We immediately called Expedia to cancel our reservation because this clearly was not a four star residence. I have never felt so uncomfortable. When we went to the valet to check out our car, they told us that someone had picked up our car. This was absolutely impossible!!! Me and my husband were the only two, to check in and absolutely no one had authorization to pick up our car or knew that we were there. This valet attendant (Diana) says she knows the person who took the car and he was a frequent visitor to the hotel. She says he gave our name and room number but he did not have our valet ticket. We currently still have it! This hotel completely were doing an inside job, fraud, set up, and they gave away our expensive brand new Lamborghini. She basically just handed over the keys to a criminal. None of the staff was able to assist us in getting our car back. We called the police right away to file a theft report. The valet service & hotel employees are crooks
- Edwin (8/5): - Great location for food and shopping. Close to bayside. Great customer relations.
- Bella (4/5): - Second time staying at this place and last time. This time the property was not as advertised- said ocean view- I even paid extra and instead we got buildings and pool view. The buildings reeks of marijuana, the stench enters apartment and the whole
Apartment stinks, it’s quite also noisy.
- Lakisha (10/5): - everything was so nice tidy and very clean
- Fatih (2/5): - Place is just dirty and in poor condition. Absolutely not worth it
- Nikolai (8/5): - Great location. Great amenities- pool, spa.
A bit overpriced
- Marcia Ann (10/5): - Right in the middle of Brickell neighborhood
- amy (8/5): - Fabulous pool, gym and area.
Parking is expensive and look out for the “hotel fee”
Some basic genera amenities in the apt for the kitchen (salt, pepper, water) would have been alpreciated
- Adrian (4/5): - There's nothing unique, it's just a common place.
The communication was bad. I still try to get in touch with them because they forget to release the deposit, but got no reply yet (after a week) and they are unreachable by phone/email/whatsapp.
- Ashley (10/5): - Excellent property with fully equipped apartments. Stylish and impressive view. Location prime with Brickell Centre and restaurants nearby. Short drive from airport. Very safe and inviting location. Very suitable for inspiring running routes. Huge pool and lounge facilities.
Very good information and communication with hosts pre, during and post stay.
- Shuet (10/5): - Excellent customer service by the host. amazing views and huge swimming pool to enjoy. Very convenient location close to shops and food. Will definitely return.
- Bella (10/5): - Great host, great view, great location, fantastic, clean and modern apt. Highly recommend!
- Alexander (2/5): - The key to give us further room would not work in the elevator and our host would not answer the phone initially. We waited and he eventually communicated back and asked us to try a different elevator, which we did, and the key didn't work again. We could not get to our room, so we decided to leave as we were not getting the required help.
- Daniel (10/5): - Amazing! They were awesome to communicate with. I really enjoyed working with them and I travel for work and I’m currently working with Marc to secure more reservations. Great company.
- Ashley (10/5): Girls trip - The space was great only grip was the hot water wasn’t hot enough
- Paul (10/5): - A lot of dining options, great ocean vies
- Louise Ellen (8/5): - Would have liked a throw blanket as the AC is cold, but without too hot. Salt and Pepper, a bread knife, a better equipped kitchen would have been nice. The bathtub is a danger, it is extremely difficult to get in and out of the tub/shower and is an accident waiting to happen. It was difficult to get cold water running out of the shower as well, temp was too hot and difficult to regulate.
- Arifa (10/5): - The manager Mark was excellent as we had an issue with our flight and got in quite late. He accommodated us and even let us check out later. Thank you for a wonderful stay
- Evan (10/5): - Everything was perfect I just haven’t received the hold I am owed.
- Esteban (10/5): - Very clean, perfect rooms and location was amazing
- Anthony (2/5): - This place is disgusting… very fun down and the pictures are very deceiving. The place feels unkept and broken.
- Chanel (8/5): - It was a great, last minute stay.
- Trachele (10/5): - The stay made me enjoy my vacation and loved the views I had
- Christopher Saint (10/5): - Good view
- Victoria (10/5): - VERY NICE!! LOVED IT
- angela (10/5): - Just loved it!
- Kristopher (10/5): - The room was nice, clean and host was excellent.
- Dan (10/5): - Excellent! This was everything we hoped it would be. We had a wonderful time! We absolutely love the views, the ambience and the service. We will definitely be staying there again.
- Robert (10/5): - Spacious apartment with large, clean, functional rooms. Close to many venues, events and activities.
- Radhiika (2/5): - I got charged for cleaning but my room was never cleaned. Very poor safety. people are breaking in to my room in the night
- Sarah (8/5): - It was a very clean and beautiful property. The hostess was very helpful, detailed and accessible to any questions or concerns.
The dryer in the apt didn't work, the tub was was way too high for my elder mom to access to shower, so it was an inconvenience for her to bathe. We really wished it was a full size mirror SOMEWHERE in the unit and it wasn't.
People always need to have a full view of how we look prior to going out.
Overall--it didn't make thigs bad just some small inconveniences
- Cheryl (6/5): - Great area & good amenities
- Geraldrick (4/5): - Valet is terrible
- Kyle (6/5): - Check in and out was nice and simple.
But the apartment had long black hair that kept showing up everywhere.
The oven was filthy inside and obviously hasn't been used in a while.
The shower was suffering from a long standing leak which could be easily fixed, the drywall on the ceiling and walls / bathroom door was water damaged and appeared to be like that for a long time.
The sliding glass door from the living to the balcony was stuck, impossible to open, again, probably like that for a long time.
A few hundred dollars on a handyman this could have been sorted, just shows no one really cares about the property which is a real shame.
Otherwise the stay was fine.
Thank you.
- Barbara (2/5): - It should be a crime to not have full mirrors in places. How is it Miami with little tiny mirrors! Also no extra towels! And the line to get an amenity pass was long every time I wanted to get it so I kept passing on it until it was vacation time over. That should be ready and given to you w the keys on arrival. There was dirty socks in the couch bed and towels were not clean.
- kaleigh (6/5): - The views are incredible, but when we went the elevator wasn’t working. Everyone was sharing one and after 15 minutes of waiting we ended up walking down 25 flights of stairs. A little difficult to find this location, parking was a disaster.
- Erika (2/5): No good at all - Very bag service, no recommended
- Keosha (2/5): - The bedding on the bed was dirty, it looked as if they did not change the sheets and comforter from the previous guest. Therefore, I went to a nearby Walmart to purchase new and fresh bedding. The host was an absolute idiot, very rude and was not answering none of my phone calls in regards to cards and keys not working. However, the amenities were so luxurious and beautiful. Most importantly, the staff at the gym area were extremely nice.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great Location!!! The view from my room was amazing!!!
- Ebony (8/5): - Amazing room! The property was having all types of issues with the elevators. They were doing work on the floor we stayed on and at 7am it was all types of banging and noise. I wish we had been notified so I could have stayed somewhere else. I had surgery and had to wait long times for the elevator and I couldn’t get much sleep with the noise.
- Chloe D. (10/5): Amazing!! - The girls that own this rental were extremely amazing with communication. Anything I needed they were there to help instantly. Beautiful place. Close to everything. I highly recommend!! Nothing bad to say about this place at all.
- Michelle (2/5): - The whole place was misrepresented. The picture advertised was not what the unit actually was. The blankets were dirty, the rep never responded to me after I told her items were broken in the unit. The building itself felt sketchy. The amenities fine were except I couldn’t use the gym because the power was about to go out for some reason.
- stacy (2/5): - Very pretty place but unfortunately my air conditioning broke the first night I was there. I communicated with them many times over my 4 night stay and it was not fixed. I slept (more like laid in bed) in 77 degrees.
- Marcia (6/5): - Loved the view from the 35th floor. Did not like having to use the service elevator to get to the floor. Some of the tiles were cracked. Stained bathroom ceiling. Balcony glass door whistles in high winds since the weather seal was missing.
- angela (10/5): - Perfect location. With breathtaking views. The unit left nothing to be desired.
- naya (10/5): - Prime location!! Stay was wonderful and were the staff!
- Jeremiah B. (10/5): Good place to stay in Brickell - Excellent location, you’re a stones throw from Brickell Key (great for runs) and a lot of great restaurants and amenities of Brickell (including a Whole Foods). This unit faces East and has good views of the pool and the river. My only negative comment on this unit is that it doesn’t have smart TVs so you can’t watch Netflix, Disney +, etc.
- Bruce (8/5): - Clean pleasantly decorated room. Kitchen not well stocked with dishes. Very, very hard bed.
- Ahmad (10/5): - Everything was great
- Nazareth (6/5): - The view was beautiful from my floor 23 I didn’t like the 4 pm-10 pm check in time had to wait until 2:30 I arrived at 11am had to wait 3 and a half hours at the lobby to check in i had to pay for a extra night to be able to check in earlier so most of my day was gone by the time I got to the room and got ready to head out and enjoy the day every thing else was smooth
- David (2/5): - Major improvements made it with linens, pillows, carpets were disgusting full of dog hairs, no hot water in the shower for the entire state and water. Parking is across the street not in the building. Total rip off I checked out three days early. W hotel and the icon all terrible to get in and out long waits elevators are ridiculously slow definitely suggest another place to stay I get a two star rating At most.
- Karen (10/5): - Beautiful views! Excellent pool and spa.
- Ashley John (8/5): - Excellent property. Nice furnished with complete kitchen. Stylish interior and spacious. Well located in Brickell with City Center, Brickell village and restaurants nearby. Very relaxed and nice neighbourhood for leisurely walks. Interesting and safe routes for running at any time of the day. Relatively short drive from Miami International
Communication with clients on additional daily housekeeping should be improved. Although formally arranged and reserved and notwithstanding several calls to the service line no housekeeping was provided.
