Guest Reviews
- Kinsey (6/5): - Quiet and safe. Under construction!!!! Pool is nice and cool, hot tub did not heat up. A/C would not go below a certain number. No hooks or racks in bathroom. Limited kitchen items unless you want to purchase cooking essentials for a limited stay. Beautiful beach view in quick walking distance. Amazing dinner reservation spot in walking distance at La Taveta. Rent a car.
- Rashid (8/5): - The iguanas and lizards around were pretty cool.
- Brian (8/5): -
- George (10/5): - We loved the Sea Breeze apartments, great value stay, location right next to a superb snorkelling area with perfect stunning sea views, (Mangel Halto Beach) if we venture back to Aruba this would be one of our stays again to keep within our budget, property could do with a revamp to keep its charm relaxing feeling but this did not bother us.
- Christophe (8/5): - Good deal. Great location. Quiet and confortable.
- Dominique (10/5): Excellente affaire! - Super endroit pour le prix ! 🤩
- fabian (4/5): - No internet connection at the property
- Olena (8/5): - For such a cheap price, the accommodation is quite decent. Close to the beach and mini markets. The kitchen is equipped, but the are not many dishes. The stove works poorly, although it is possible to prepare a quick meal. We liked the warm tub.
- David (10/5): - Owner and staff were great.
- Sanela (8/5): - Need some upgrades and colors in the rooms and everything else is OK
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We stayed here for roughly one week and in that entire time we only met the owner on the last day. When we went to talk about the issues the owner seemed unconcerned and disinterested.
No one was around to check in, which meant also no one to talk about any issues with - and there was plenty. Cooker didn’t work (so no cooking like we’d planned), only 1 set of eating equipment, rather than 2… planks on the decking outside were broken and dangerous. Most important… there is NO HOT WATER for any shower…. So get used to showering in the cold. Just to list a few… there was more broken things inside. Our bungalow was also very dated and could use an upgrade as well.
Ac worked a charm though and bed was comfortable enough.
Cleaning lady was very sweet but only spoke Spanish and angelo, a type of night guard (I think) was sweet and was around most evenings.
- Donna (8/5): Aruba - I’ve chosen this location for five years because I just think it is fantastic
- Tracy (10/5): - My room was perfect and literally a two minute walk to the most beautiful beach in all of Aruba! The staff was available at all times and was able to arrange some amazing tours for very competitive prices.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quaint creative courtyard, easy going, guiet neighborhood, half a block from the best island snorkeling. Room and premises were clean and safe for solo traveling. Kitchenette with a market around the corner. Cost can"t be beat.
- Bridget (8/5): - The outdoor area is beautiful ! Courtyard is spectacular. Just gorgeous. The property is just steps away from the water.
The room was overall clean but something’s needed updating. The box spring was stained and icky. They had no paper towels or dish soap to wash the utensils we used. Just little things like that
I would definitely stay here again just the beauty of the outside and location
The owner is very friendly and informative
- Claudine (10/5): Relaxing and quiet - We could have used a bedside lamp for reading and maybe a few more utensils in the kitchen but the place was great - especially with the pool and relaxing areas. Very nice and quiet location. Really good place to stay!
- Rodney (10/5): - This property is located just south of the airport not in the tourist area. We were less than 1 minute walk from the prettiet water in one direction and less than one minute walk from the cheapest liguor in town and cheaper than the airport. This store also has resonably priced groceries.
This is a laid back atmosphere in the resort. Contact Angelo for info on anything as well as excursions.
To make your trip complete don't miss a chance to talk to the locals. Most are eager to meet and talk to you
The weather is far superior to the other islands in the Caribbean. You must however drink a lot of their water, from the faucet.
The people are very honest and you are safe as long as you use common sense.
- Kelly (6/5): - The property was clean and had a great location. There was no basics in the room you need to bring your own dish soap, hand soap, hand towels ect. The wifi was terrible, the door was difficult to lock, the safe in the room did not work and the owner was never around so it was very hard to address any issues.
- Magdalena (6/5): - Beautiful property, with swimming pool and jacuzzi, located near Mangel Halto beach. Very quiet and calm. Also, we had useful recommendations by Angelo. However, the toilet in our bathroom was dirty when we arrived on the first day, and our room (including said toilet) was never cleaned during our 5 nights stay.
- Larry (2/5): - Door did not lock.... plus locks screws falling out and do not tighten... plus no one there to address my concerns... so i left and never checked in...
- Mesook (6/5): - The only thing I liked about this property was location as there was a beautiful beach in walking distance. However, if you do not have a rental car, you won't be able to explore Aruba fully as all the touristy places are 15-20 minutes away from the property. Bathroom and kitchen was decent, BUT the bed and the pillow was not clean at all, even the color was brown. We had to request for extra sheets for double triple protection. The door lock was not like the safest thing as it is not stern at all. The pool and the hot tub was nice and there is a market in walking distance which was nice. If you are looking for a place in aruba where you are just going to be outside the most of the time, and are looking for place just to sleep, I guess this place would be okay as you get to save the money. The staffs are nice but they rlly need to work on the cleanliness of the room.
- MINYAN (10/5): - Angelo and Joey were very amazing. would stay here again !!
- Quentin (10/5): - This property was not in the tourist area and in walking distance to Mango Alto Beach with a local store and bar within 2 minutes walking distance. I would suggest renting a car which will allow you to visit all of the beaches on the island. The hotel was clean and quiet. If you are looking for a laid back vacation this would be the place.
- Tim (4/5): Would not book or recommend - We arrive to no one at the front desk and a note on window with directions to our room. Our room door would not close without lifting it up off the track. Frame looked like someone used a crowbar to jimmy the lock. Safe didn’t work. Room was clean but very old. Tried to contact management via phone and text no answer We drove around for a few hours came back and grabbed all of our belongings and left. Couldn’t checkin or out because no one was there. I would not recommend unless you have no money to stay in Aruba.
- Chris (6/5): - Host was good. Would like to see more money put into the rooms.
- Hernan (10/5): - This hotel is a charming and peaceful retreat, located away from the busy tourist areas. While a car is necessary for transportation, you will appreciate the warm and welcoming atmosphere provided by the hotel. Great cost-benefit relation.
- Marvin (8/5): Worth Staying At. - Very nice place, quiet and close to the airport.
- Marvin (8/5): Good clean place - This is a nice place in a quiet place. I would recommend it.
- Glenn (8/5): - Joey is very responsive. Staff makes a good effort to keep things tidy.
- David (10/5): - Very nice property owner, great place for price. Nothing fancy in the apartment but it has all you need. Property is pretty with pretty landscaping, pool, and hot tub. Ocean is a close walk, only a couple of minutes with beautiful views and places to walk into the water and swim or snorkel. Mangel Halto beach is a close drive or a longer walk. East place to go to anywhere on the island. Would recommend a vehicle if you stay here. The staff is also warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the island. Great overall experience.
- Sukhbir (6/5): - Expedia shows it Hotel sea breeze apartments which is misleading as I thought it is a hotel. Overall it is nice quiet place but far from downtown so a vehicle is needed. Nice kitchen but bathroom not convenient at all. King bed had very a small blanket and cover sheet, not enough for 2 people. Also noticed lots of mosquitoes so a repellent is needed.
- Donald (6/5): - Property was 1/2 block to the water, with the beach 2 1/2 blocks away. Quiet & Private with a hot tub for 8-10 people and a small pool. The grill is charcoal which you have to buy supplies.
- Taylor (10/5): - My partner and I recently visited Sea Breeze and loved it.
- Humberto (10/5): - Excellent accomodatjon
- Jessica (10/5): - Overall, I loved my stay at Sea Breeze Apartments. Joey the owner keeps the place clean and organized. He is very easy to talk to and listens to your requests. The place is located in a quiet neighborhood with a beach next to it. If you want to experience a quiet local vacation I recommend this place. You can catch a bus to other places within a 5-7 minute walk. But renting a car is the best option.
- Kailey (8/5): - I enjoyed the property a lot! It is a bit far away from where most activities and people stay but I enjoyed the quieter area. Definitely recommend.
- Joziane (4/5): - tv didn’t work well, hot tub was not working, I have not seen the face of anyone in my entire stay.
- Alison (10/5): Comfortable accomodations - It was a reasonable stay for the price. The owner has packed a lot into a little space. The rooms are all stand alone and converge on a communal patio with a pool and cabana to relax in. Each room enters through their patio, bit they are not private. The pool is small, its just meant for relaxing, not much swimming. The whole set up is catered to singles and couples, not for families. There is no door to the bathroom, its just around a corner to the kitchenette. The kitchenette has all the appliances youll need, but make sure you bring your own coffee, sugar, salt, and soap- no basics provided.
There is a small grocery store across the street and the beach is about 2 blocks away. The hotel itself is in a nice location for convenience.
- Frensel (8/5): - It took too long to fix the water heater in the bathroom
- Elio A. de (10/5): - Very relax environment... very close up and personal service from the owner himself...very very friendly
- Donald D (6/5): - The property is in a quiet area and a block from the water. The rooms are clean and each room has different equipment, some have full size refrigerators and some mini's. Some have microwaves others none. The out door grill is charcoal not gas. You need to buy body and dish soap, salt & pepper if you plan to cook. The rooms are not standardized. Joey the owner is living there and needs to go through the rooms equipment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - PROS: The place was very clean and charming. Aesthetically, the place was very pleasing. Joey, the owner, is very friendly. There is a little supermarket located 2 minutes away (by walking) and the apartment is right next to the secluded Mangel Halto Beach.
CONS: While I mostly enjoyed myself at the Sea Breeze Apartments, I did have a few complaints. First, there was no microwave. Heating up leftovers was a huge pain in the neck! Second, there's no door - not even a curtain! - separating the bathroom from the bedroom. The curtains in the bedroom, though not sheer, were not heavy enough to block sight into and out of the room. I felt very uncomfortable every time I used the bathroom or came out of the shower!!! Third, it's hard to get in touch with the owner when problems arise and he's not on location. Fortunately, my problems didn't require immediate assistance, but I saw several other guests frantically trying to locate the owner with no luck.
OVERALL: For the price I paid, this wasn't a bad place to stay at. It was much cheaper than any of the hotels and resorts in the downtown hotel area would have cost me. Having a car is a must if you're staying here in the Savaneta / Pos Chiquito region. De Palm Tours handles most of the tourist attractions on the island and they DO NOT pick you up or drop you off at this location!!! Bear that in mind before you book your stay and your activities.
- Donna (8/5): - Great place for the money cute grounds with pool and Jacuzzi Walk to beautiful beach and apartment has all the appliances I’d recommend bringing towels Icecube tray And paper products there is a small grocery store right next-door
- Scott (10/5): - Great place to stay!! The owner, Joey, is very attentive and spends time visiting and getting to know the guests and also provides privacy when desired. VERY friendly atmosphere and great location for a peaceful vacation. We will definitely be staying here again!!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was $30 to the airport and $35 to downtown. It’s very far from everything
- Jeff (10/5): Wonder stay in Pos Chiquito - Absolutely loved the place. Local area right next to the beach. Great market around the corner. Apartment was perfect with a great kitchenne awesome pool and jacuzzi tub outside and a cool reading area to just chill at. The owner was great and really has done a nice job with the place. I would definitely return to this property in the future.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The host was great and the staff were very helpful. Very affordable place to stay and the grounds were great!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location great owner! Had issue with AC owner came ASAP to fix it
- Delia (10/5): - Great location, the beach is a 2 minute walk across the street. The proprietor of the property was very friendly and had good recommendations, and communication and check in were prompt and easy. 10/10 would stay here again!
- Kelsey (10/5): - Pool outside. Everyone was really nice. Beach right across the street was beautiful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Away from the crowds and giant hotels, peaceful and quiet retreat.
- Joshua (10/5): - Great place and hospitable staff. Def away from the city life since the area is more local based than tourist based
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We really enjoyed staying at the sea-breeze. We were looking for an affordable appartement to be able to cook during our stay. The best things about the place are clearly the Mangel halto beach 5 minutes away by foot. Not a big beach and not the finest sand but pretty quiet and the water is just gorgeous. A great spot for snorkeling as well. There is a small grocery store 50m away and a bigger one 1.3 km away so you can manage without a car. Joey and his uncle that manage the place are very nice and helpful.
What we didn't care much for are : no warm water for showering in certain rooms. The stove is 110 V and takes an eternity to heat.
Wouldn't take much to make that great place a perfect spot.
- Donald (8/5): Aruba February 2017 Sea Breeze apparents - The Sea Breeze Apparents are a great place to stay if you like peace and quiet. We enjoyed our time there Joey was a great host and keeps the place nice and tidy. You should bring your own beach towels , and the unit we stayed in didn't have a coffee maker in it ( not the end of the world ). But overall a nice island , and if your staying at Sea Breeze your going to want to rent a car. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes to relax and enjoy peace and quiet.
