This place is fine if you are coming to go fishing, but if you are expecting the service and amenities of a hotel...We knew the cabin was going to be small - not a problem, but we didn't expect the shower to be broken. The "front desk" didn't open until 8:00 am , so we got the answering machine when we called to get it repaired. I'm not sure how housekeeping was able to clean the shower when the hot water faucet was broken... The cabin appeared and smelled clean though. (Once the owner was able to contact the repairman, he came and fixed it. Corky was friendly, fast and efficient.) No hair dryer, no tissues, no back-up toilet paper, but the housekeeping person did check on us mid morning to see if we needed towels or toilet paper. Plenty of hot water, but be careful! It was extremely hot! My husband was scalded in the shower (once the faucet was fixed). Very dim light in the bathroom, but blinding light in the bedrooms.Cable TV was operational and there were many stations to choose from. No streaming services available though. A positive of course by being in a separate cabin, was it was very quiet. There weren't people in the halls making noise all hours of the night like we would have experienced in a hotel. Bring your own towels to use the outdoor pool as they do not provide them. One note for those who want to pay with a credit card, the owner charges an additional 4%. Overall, not a bad place, but just not what we were expecting.

Price was very reasonable. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Lodge is close to town and the lake easy to get to. Pool was nice and clean.

Weekend involved an event that drew MANY people to area - good to be outside of all the "action" Lots of bath towels, etc. with only 2 hooks or towel racks to hang them on.... TV in room did have cable - difficult to select programs.

The pool is very nice and it is kept clean. No paper or trash is laying around anywhere. If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, this is the place to go.

ronaldvN9824BP (10/5): 2023 Salmon Fishing Trip - I have been Salmon Fishing in the Pulaski area for over 35 years. I have been making my reservations and staying with K&G for over 30 years! Their cabins have all the amenities to make our five day trips comfortable and relaxing after a good or bad day out on the river! Kris and her staff are always accommodating and and a pleasure to speak with! Yes, there are places closer to most of the areas that are fished, the close relationship established is priceless. I will be giving Kris a call within the next four weeks to make reservations for my 2024 trip.

The rooms are comfortable and very convenient to the harbor for our fishing charters. Fishing with Captain Greg Gehrig on Top gun (or Captain Chad Gehrig on Son of a Gun) is always a fun time as well. Whether you're an experienced fisherman or a first time guest, you'll get all the guidance you need to bring home a cooler full of fish.

X7065FKshanes (10/5): The only place you need to stay in Oswego New York - My son and I cannot say enough about the service we received. at K&G Lodge. Our cabin was well-kept, clean, and very comfortable. There is plenty of room on the grounds for us to play catch with the baseball, in between fishing of course, the swimming pool was clean and well-kept as well. All of our questions were answered. Professionally, our fishing licenses could be purchased right at the lodge, and all of our fishing trips could be booked at the lodge as well, another highlight I’m staying here is how quiet it is at night. All of the other guess we encountered were pleasant and friendly as well. This lodge is truly a one stop shop when you’re visiting the Oswego area and fishing Lake Ontario and its tributaries.

Kris helped us with dinner reservations and we chatted like old friends. We met Greg at the marina the morning we went out on charter with Captain Greg. Awesome people!! The captain was extremely knowledgeable, and the mate was very accommodating and did a great job. The hotel staff is wonderful . Shane (8/5): - Everyone knows why we are staying in the area at certain times of the year… this place is comfy, clean and dated. Friendly folks with a ton of “rules,” any interaction I had with the staff began and ended with these rules. Annoying to an adult, but these days they are probably inundated with half-wits who do what they want. I didn’t leave anything of value in the room. Same key to open the common door and our room door made me sus as to nefarious room neighbors with ill intentions. I would stay here again, if I booked a single cabin so your gear felt more secure.

You can't beat them. The grounds are well kept up and they have a nice pool. Three is a large pavilion for outdoor picnicking.

Joshua (4/5): - This is an RV park with cabins. The cabin we stayed in was very old and musty. The furniture seemed to be from the 1980's, the beds uncomfortable and the condition of the cabin itself was extremely poor. Also there is 1 air conditioner for the whole place, so neither bedroom has one. The pool is tiny, so can't really swim in it, and the location isn't near the lake despite the pictures. The only positive aspect is that there are 2 real bedrooms.

Ed_Potrzeba (10/5): Great fishing trip! - We joined Son-of-a-Gun for a 6-hour fishing trip on the 15th of August! Chad and Jeff were great! We landed a nice salmon and had 11 others on the hook but lost them - that's fishing! The boat is well suited, they have great equipment and were a pleasure to be around! Be back again!

ellenrH9638FW (10/5): Quiet, convenient, and well kept! - This destination is primarily seasonal sites and cabins, but Kris was eager to accommodate our two night stay at a full hookup site! Site 19 was spacious and level with nice shade and decent cell signal and cable reception. While it would have been nice to have a fire ring and picnic table, we weren't at the campsite much to have needed those amenities. We loved that this campground was pet friendly, and the paved lanes made it nice for walks! Everyone we met was extremely kind and welcoming, which was so nice! We were in town for a wedding that coincidentally fell over Harbor Fest Weekend and a fishing derby, so the area was certainly busy but we found this campground incredibly quiet...hardly any vehicles driving through the campground throughout the day and minimal road/train noise. But the location was perfect...only a few miles from downtown Oswego! While it's a bit of a trek from Pennsylvania, if we find ourselves visiting Lake Ontario again, we will certainly reach out to K & G Lodge!!

Michelle (4/5): K&G is not close to a resort ! It’s filthy dirty ! - This was supposed to be a wonderful graduation weekend until we arrived at the K&G “Resort”. This place is the furthest thing from a resort ! It was bug infested, filthy dirty to the extent that we could not sleep in the stained beds nor shower in the disgusting bathroom. This was my daughter’s graduation from university and the weekend was ruined due to the blatant lies that the owner of the K&G cabins put on her properties profile. When asked to not bill us for this unbearable situation. She told us to leave and would not allow my 90 year old mother to use the restroom in the main office. This shouldn’t happen to anyone. Stay away from the K&G “resort” and anyone who has anything to do with these unscrupulous people.

VoluntownRay (10/5): Renovated Cabins Are Great - Kris and Greg at K&G Lodge have put a lot of work into renovating their cabins. As usual, they're very friendly and helpful when checking in, their staff are also great. You can't beat the convenience and price when staying in Oswego.
909ericau (10/5): Great for large family gathering - K&G Lodge was a perfect venue for our large family gathering. With five families, we had the convenience of being close to one another while also having the privacy of separate cabins. The pavilion area and firepit were a great place for us all to get together. With the pool, swing area, horseshoe pits and yard area there were lots of things to keep our younger members entertained. The cabins and outdoor areas were clean and well cared for. The staff is very responsive to requests. We loved our stay and hope to be able to visit again!!

No waves, the sun was directly overhead and the weather before our trip was also not conducive to good afternoon fishing! This was the second time in two consecutive years where fishing was not predicted to be fantastic (you pick your date weeks to months ahead). Both years Greg and Hunter worked their butts off and we filled the cooler! We have become annual clients with K&G Sport Fishing. Great fun with these guys and they know what they are doing. 5 STARS in my book. Kevinb.

S7081PKtonys (4/5): The sign says it all! - As soon as we arrived at the front desk and paid it was made very clear to us that we were seen as an annoyance rather than guests. The woman who is in charge of the whole thing kept yelling at us for asking questions (it was the first time any of the group of 4 had chartered a boat or stayed there). And talked to us like we were stupid. We were booked for two fishing excursions one in the early morning the next day and one in the afternoon (2pm to 8pm) the day after. We were informed that even though our invoice stated “departure is Saturday” we needed to check out Friday by 10am. So, we had to book a different cabin for the Friday night because there was no way we were driving 5 hours back home after being on the water until 8pm. When we questioned why an invoice would state Saturday when we were expected to leave Friday, we were told “that’s how all booking systems work!” Now I travel extensively for work and pleasure and never have I ever had to check out a day before my itinerary departure day. The first day of fishing started at 5:30 am and was a good experience despite some choppy waters and the first mate calling one guy in our group a pansy and the captain calling the Marines on the trip “Girl Scouts”. (Great way to treat combat veterans) At the end of the expedition we were told that the next day might get canceled due to high winds (25 mph) but we had to show up at 2pm at the docks to know for certain. This left our group in limbo not knowing what we were going to do for most of the next day. It was like everyone there had a different story and there was little to no communication. The only reason that I did not give this place a 1 was because we went to the office first thing in the morning and they confirmed there would be no fishing and they reimbursed us for the Friday night and second fishing excursion. My advice is “buyer beware” because once you’re there and pay the bill they will treat you like the sign in the corner says: “Sarcasm is the ability to insult idiots without them realizing it”.

You can't beat the price, they have all the amenities you could want are comfortable and quiet. We've stayed in these cabins for many years when we come to Oswego to fish and they're always great.

VoluntownRay (10/5): Stayed In Lodge For The First Time - Two of us stayed in the lodge and it was very quiet, big rooms, with very comfortable beds. Those were nice to have after an exciting afternoon and evening of great fishing. The air conditioning was perfect. It kept the room at just the right temperature and ran very quietly.

Cabins are great and comfortable and Kathy, Greg and the rest of the staff could not be more helpful. We launch a boat at Mexico Point approximately 15 minutes away. This year's fishing was fantastic on Lake Ontario as was our stay as always at the K&G! See you next year!

Top Gun boat was great and the fishing was fantastic! (10 King Salmon and 1 Steelhead) Capt. Greg and 1st mate Mike handled all our needs. (Party of 5) 1st class operation from top to bottom. This was our 4th year there and all the reasons above are why!

My stay was to visit my granddaughter for family weekend at college. But for a place to rest your head and tune out electronics it's great.
Alex (8/5): Perfect fisherman's cabin - Everything you need if you're coming to the area to fish/camp. Quiet complex, own kitchen and no immediate neighbors like you would have in a hotel is a big plus.

Ronald (8/5): Quiet country stay - Nice quiet property that has a lodge, cabins and RV parking. Located on cointry but within a few miles of downtown Oswego and Lake Ontario. I stayed in the lodge. Nice room... nothing fancy but comfortable. Furniture could use an upgrade as it was older and worn. I would stay there again. My only complaint is a 10 am checkout time instead of the usual noon.

The only 2 things that would have been better is if they thoroughly cleaned the cabins before we arrived. There were spiders and webs in many areas. Gave me the creeps. Also, the AC unit was still in the window behind the sofa. There was so much cold draft coming in that it made relaxing in the sofa uncomfortable. The curtains actually were blowing from the draft.

Richard (8/5): Close to my fishing trip - Check was simple and easy, check out was the same way, loved the decorating of the rooms, beds were a little stiff, someone had disconnected the phone in our room, the tv didn't work properly it turned off while watching it , than in the middle of the night the tv kept coming on than turning off. I finally had to get up and unplug tv. I like the safety procedure booklet that was left with all the proper no's to call in case of an emergency.I would highly recommend this hotel , the pool was also great Thank You Richard

jim in TI (10/5): Location has nice, quiet surroundings. - Great place to stay, the room was very clean with a nice decor. The staff was terrific. However the directions based on the Expedia map were terrible. It looked like County Route 1 intersected Route 104 near the lodge. Way wrong. Also checkout time on-line said 11 AM, reality was 10 AM
