• Lori (2/5): Bad experience - The only good thing was that I was able to check in late after travel delays. The condition of the room was terrible. Although, thankfully, I did not see any bugs. There were no towels and the tv did not work. Never again.

• Thomas19792021 (2/5): WORST EXPERIENCE EVER BEWARE - Worst experience ever . As long as you pay and allow your right to be violated things were fine. But the min you can't pay at 11 ring ring ring. Even if they know your staying ..... they break the laws and tell you can't have visitors. Or call your friends and tell them if there seen talking to you they will get kicked out . Just because he's the owner or manage the place he can do as he pleases. HINT PEOPLE IF YOU RENT THE ROOM FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME YOUR PROTECTED UNDER LANDLORD TENANT ACT. THEY CAN'T BOOT YOU OUT. . I HATE THE FACT THEY TRY BREAKING THE LAWS OVER MONEY MONEY MONEY ..... FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS AND STOP THE HARASSMENT AND ABUSE

• James (4/5): Mohawk Motel, Brantford on - Didn't get the room I had booked-asked to manager and was told the owner wasn't ok-inever heard from him in 2 days-pull out when made up blocked access to washroom-no bedding in room for pull out-pillows are not pillows-cushions Wouldn't go back there nor recommend it to anyone

• Sharon (6/5): Adequate for one night - The motel is old, but some renovations have been done...new flooring, toilet, sink. The room was very clean, but the exterior of the building could get a re-paint. It looks like a low class motel. We has a non- smoking room, but could smell some smoke. The bed could be firmer, but it was adequate for a good nights sleep. The a/c worked well, but when it kicked on, the lights in the room dimmed flickered. The water temperature was not constant. My shower was uncomfortable as the water temp. went from hot to cold all through my shower. it was the same at the sink. The bathtub was a bit slippery. The fridge was very big to accommodate our cooler items. There was no security bolt on the door for extra safety. The motel was adequate for a one night stay.
• Ed (8/5): Great deal for Price. Enjoyed stay - We are seasoned travelers and prepare for bad pillows etc. Always take our own and also a small extension bar to plug in chargers. The motel is quiet and clean, on same block as Police Station. Across the street is a Great Fish and chips place. Staff and owner very friendly (he stopped by a couple of times to check that things were good. Definitely will stay there again.. Close to everything

• UE_Traveller (8/5): - Can't beat the price and while the room was a bit worn, I've stayed there before and knew what I could expect. 'Need-to-Have's': A/C, WiFi, fridge, microwave. Each was provided. 'Nice-to-Have's': Parking in front of door, meticulously maintained and updated room, carpeting, large room. Parking and room size were provided. Verdict: A perfectly acceptable place to stay one to three nights. Any longer than that and it might get depressing.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - I will.never stay here again. It was a run down .dirty poor quality motel. As soon as we got there we were greeted by a regular who lives in one of the rooms. He actually told us it was a rough place. I never conplain but the experience was awful. Neighbours partying all hours of the night. We never got any sleep. This is not a good advertisment for expedia. They should have paid me to stay there not the other way around.

Bed linens and towels were very clean. The room was rundown, the bathroom door was damaged and the air conditioning unit was covered in dust. Free wifi worked, but the cable service in the room was sporadic. Overall a quiet place to stay and the price was low.

Remote on TV didn't work properly, would not turn TV on or off or change volume; could only change stations. No toilet seat cover so could not use toilet to set clothes on while dressing. The bathroom was very dirty (we didn’t even shower), bare minimums provided for soap and shampoo. Stains on the couch in our room and only 1 tv channel. Lumpy small pillows and a very hard bed. Not a comfortable or clean stay. We will never stay here again or recommend it.

Although location is just off beaten path and quiet, motel did not appear to be in good shape but rather a used up old property inside and out. Wood furniture was scuffed, bed was uncomfortable, microwave was old , bedding was not wonderful , towels were hard and kind of smelly.

• Beth (4/5): good for sleeping - the rooms are very small; but clean. no ammenaties here. For 2 people you get 2 towels and 3 small pillows. we had a lumpy king sized bed but the placr was quiet. Only 1 staff member who usially isn't at the front desk and after hours you stand outside , ring a bell and talk through a speaker. If you need a place thats cheap to sleep and shower and nothing else, its okay.

• Liz (4/5): Tv did not work. Blood spots outside the door. - Blood spots outside the door along the sidewalk, fresh. The tv did not work. They don't answer the phone late at night. No hairdryer had to ask for one. No coffee maker just microwave and a small frig. The bed sheets were dirt and stained very uncomfortable bed to sleep on. There was no shampoo/cond to use. Overall I guess that we got what we paid for. Not much. We will not be staying there again.

• Liz (4/5): Don't stay here - The people at the Mohawk were pleasant. Wasn't looking for anything fancy but my heart sank when I opened the door. It was dingy and really run down. Paint peeling off the wall. Furniture beaten up and mot dusted or cleaned. The beds had clean linen which was something. The windows were filthy and cracked. The lock on the door was dodgy and I did not feel secure. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying here on their own.

• angelapA9453MW (2/5): Absolutely disgusting... - NEVER will my family stay here again. We rented two rooms for a family of 6. The room with a double bed stunk like smoke, had cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, fridge was dirty and the window sills were jammed with thick dirt. The room with two double beds was the same but also had a disgusting carpet, garbage can was filthy and one of the teenagers with us had to clean white crusty liquid off the headboard before being able to lay down for a nap. All of us were horrified by both rooms. We asked for two additional pillows and after the woman argued for a few minutes she said she would bring some later, later never came. The long term renters come in and out of their rooms until 5:00am and don't consider holding the door so it doesn't slam and wake those who are trying to rest. At 10:00am we were chatting outside and one of those very renters knocked on their window to get our attention and tell us to shut up! I went to ask for a garbage bag at the office so we could clean up before we left but it was still locked and unable to access before we left at 11:00am. I've stayed in many cheap motels/hotels but I've never come across anything like this...

• fernando (8/5): nice hotel to main street and downtown - it was a very nice experience, easy to get in and out the room was very clean, the stuff very friendly, most importanly i would stay there again.
• Mattawa (4/5): Close to town - It was ok.had no coffee maker. There was no power at the outlets in the bathroom. Next door neighbors kept us awake with their... well you know what.

• 595tameri (4/5): Not so good - Pros: Cheap motel with a special weekly rate Spacious room Comfortable bed Cons: -No water softener and water is hard in Brantford - Exterior of motel looks like a wreck. Not taken care off for a while - When I first stepped in, I had to clean the cobwebs from the lamps - no sound insulation. Could hear my neighbor snore all night and had a hard time sleeping -BEWARE OF THE BED BUGS. There is an infestation there. Could not sleep at night from all the bites In fact I would wake up several times a night to kill a few of them. Tried even spreading my ped with a pesticide but that did not work !!
• 782scarpettas (6/5): Very basic accommodation/noisy - This is a very old motel. We were so tired we just needed a clean place to sleep for a couple of days. Our room was in the middle between two others that appear to be long-term residents, one with children. The place was pretty clean but more spartan than I have seen for a long time. No fluff left on these towels and not even a clock in the room. The King bed was more like a Queen bed and it sported two small pillows - thank goodness we had others in our vehicle! We did ask for additional pillows and they were "all out". Our neighbours hung outside and chatted into the wee hours and appear to be monthly renters. There is almost no soundproofing so doors slamming and children wailing didn't allow for a restful time. If I were a solo traveller on business for a quick one night in and out this would do, but nothing more. If we knew more about the place before booking we would never have stayed here.
• 695bradl (2/5): Keep Looking! - I was looking for a cheap weekly rate at a small motel and after looking at half a dozen others, settled on this place. In fairness, the room was large and the bed was comfortable. Although I was assured the room was non smoking, I soon discovered that was not the case. However, it got worse. I discovered roaches and the final straw was bedbugs. Needless to say, I got a refund on the balance of my money and got the heck out of there. If you're in the area, keep looking! You don't want to stay there.

• DMS37 (6/5): Great for the price! - Arrived 10pm Friday night and was told I was the last one to check in. Clerk was very polite, room was clean, it was very quiet in room #20, second last from the end. Chose this one as Days Inn was full as were all others this weekend but am glad I tried it. Would stay there again. It was $65 per night - used Trivago.ca
