- Thomas (10/5): - A wonderful place within minutes of Giverny and Monet’s Garden and home.
- Frédéric (10/5): Top - Sensationnel ! The greatest place to visit Giverny
- GENE (10/5): - This is simply an extraordinary B&B. The owner, Veronique, was welcoming and informative. The cottage was modern, artfully decorated and was situated above a scenic river. Everything was clean and the breakfast fresh and delightful. This is one of the best B&B’s we have visited. It is a true gem and that should not be missed on a trip to Giverny and environs.
- Ashley (10/5): - Beautiful property so close to Monet’s Garden - an absolute must stay if you want to explore the region , my only concern was not being able to stay multiple evenings to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings.
- Carol (10/5): Heavenly Stay Near Giverny - This property is beautiful and pristine, with an expansive yard and gardens along a river. Just a few minutes drive from Giverny, the cottage we stayed in was right on the riverbank, with ample outdoor furniture to enjoy the setting. Inside was perfection, too — extremely clean, upscale decor, comfortable beds, and a huge modern bath and dressing room. Our charming hostess was extremely helpful and accommodating, and each morning she delivered a classic French breakfast to our door. Highly recommended!
- Nathalie (10/5): - We have been here before and we absolutely love this place. The hosts are wonderful and the accommodations are impeccable. A few minutes drive to Giverny! We will definitely return in the future.
- Terry (10/5): - Excellent accommodation
- Ellen (10/5): - The hostess was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast variety was wonderful including scrambled eggs from her chickens. Conveniently located town had great souvenirs of the region. We weren’t far from Mont St Michel and planned the whole day there with beautiful weather.
- Marion (10/5): - Thank you Veronique and family for our lovely stay on your beautiful, serene property! Our family felt welcomed from the minute we arrived in Giverny and the proximity to Monet’s house is perfect for a quick visit. From offering to pick us up from the town center, to the thoughtfulness in the fresh bread, coffee, cheeses and local cidre made us never want to leave. We’d recommend this gem to anyone!
- Massimo (10/5): - Proprietari gentilissimi, struttura molto bella, curata nei dettagli e pulita.
Molto riposante, consigliata.
- Peter (10/5): - Perfect place for a couple days in the French countryside. The bnb was perfect and the owner was the nicest person we met in France. Just amazing!
- MICHAEL PAUL M (10/5): - A beautifully situated property. Our "cottage" was well appointed, quiet and situated beside a river - very tranquil.
Our hostess Victoria was terrific, very accommodating and prepared a tasty breakfast each morning with fresh baked goods. Our only regret was that we were unable to stay longer. Highly recommend and thank you for a great stay.
- Ronald (10/5): - Absolutely charming and so very well appointed! The cottage had 2 bedrooms and a very large bathroom. We were greeted by the owner who showed us all of the necessary information regarding the property. Breakfast was hearty and delicious! It was just beautiful!
- Jolanda van (10/5): - BEAUTIFULL, for sure the most beautifull accomodation we have ever had.
Clean, very tastefull furniture, beautiful garden near the river, very good bed, delicious bedlinnen, towels, delicious smell, super breakfast, very kind host, etc etc. We wil come back (with better weather 😉), en we will recommend this B&B to all our friends 💛💛💛. Thank you so much, dear Veronique 🙏💛🌸
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent hotel & vg location for Monet's Garden - We stayed at L'Oree de Giverney for 2 nights which should have been 3 but unfortunately we had car problems so were late arriving.
Everything was just perfect! Our room was immaculately clean with a full kitchen, table and chairs, lovely large shower room and a private terrace. Guests also had use of a wonderful garden leading down to the river, and even bicycles to use.
The bed was so comfortable and the area was so peaceful that we slept like logs.
Breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, croissants, butter and home made jam, baguetts and cheeses. To be honest, there was so much we made a picnic for lunch.
Veronique and her husband were excellent hosts, and very kind and understanding about our delay.
Monet's garden is close by (would recommend pre-booking) and also a lovely town called Vernon. Near the gardens is a nice little riverside bar, and we ate at Parenthesis which was very good.
We would definitely stay here again, and have already highly recommended L'Oree de Giverney to friends. We'd like to return later in the year to see the waterlilies - but we'll make sure we book well in advance !
- Karen G (10/5): - One of the best places we have stayed! A charming cottage with everything you could need set amongst a landscape of beautiful gardens. We had dinner on our lovely patio and strolled the many unique areas filled with flowers and garden art finally settling by the river with a glass of wine. Heavenly! Comfortable beds, large shower, small but efficient kitchen and good living space inside and out. Our host Veronique could not have been more lovely or helpful. We will return for a much longer visit.
- Timothy (10/5): - This property was beautiful inside and around the grounds!
I would recommend visiting during the warm weather so you can enjoy their exquisite garden. 🌱⚘️🌷🌼🌻🌺
- Arja (10/5): - Service was friendly, fluent and customer-centered. The property was in very good shape, the yard was beautiful and peaceful. Monet's residence and the garden were near by.
- Amanda (10/5): Can’t recommend this place enough. 10/10 - I LOVED staying at this BnB! The property is beautiful and well-kept. The hospitality of the owners is impeccable and the breakfast was top-notch. I was sad to leave. I hope to come back.
- John (10/5): - Beautiful setting near Mone's garden and house. Very nice host.
- Stephanie (10/5): - What a lovely place. We truly enjoyed our visit.
- Wanda (10/5): - Friendly, welcoming host, good breakfast, beautiful surroundings, lovely room and access to lovely gardens and river.
- matt (10/5): - We had a wonderful relaxing weekend stay in the cottage by the river. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We will certainly return!
- Sheldon (10/5): - Beautiful property. Charming cottage. Outstanding breakfast. And most important, gracious and generous hosts. This was one of the best B&B's we've stayed in anywhere in the world.
- Chris (10/5): Amazing secluded place - This was such a wonderful place to stay. It was like a little sanctuary and the gardens were beautiful, far better than the pictures show. Our room was adjacent to the river and it stayed a nice temperature in the room, even if it was hot or cold outside. The room itself was lovely and comfortable. The best bit however was the service. The host is lovely and accommodating, and the breakfast was amazing - cheese, bread, croissant, juice, coffee, tea, the whole french works - amazing!
- Lothar (10/5): - Very satisfactory stay. Excellent breakfast.
- Lisa (10/5): Simply Fabulous! - A truly wonderful bed and breakfast. Our hosts were amazing, our cottage was incredible, breakfast was scrumptious, and the easy walk to Giverny made this bed and breakfast perfect.
- Wayne (10/5): - We loved this place! Rustic feel with all modern amenities. Bathroom was spacious and beautiful. Garden setting next to a brook. Veronique the host was wonderful and brought our delicious breakfast to our cottage. We would love to return and stay longer! Our favorite accommodations on our Rome to London vacation!
- Mariya (10/5): - Beautiful nature, tastefully decorated property, tasty breakfast, very pleasant hosts . Charming cottage in a peaceful countryside with modern technologies at your fingertips.
- Ten-Nan (10/5): - Unit size is pretty big, nice layout and landscaping. Owner is very nice, nice breakfast.
- Desiree (10/5): - This property was magical. I wish that I could give a review better than excellent to both the property and the owner. I would love to book a stay here for a week just to rest and rejuvenate. AMAZING!!!
- Michael (10/5): Absolutely the best B&B and accommodation in area. - Amazing property and absolutely amazing owners. You must do yourself a favour and book here.
Rooms are very tasteful and the property perfectly matches the area.
- Steve (10/5): - The host was wonderful ,we were served breakfast in the morning to our little villa it was so beautiful . It was like being in fantasy land.
- Nathalie (10/5): - This property is a gem! It is a 6 minute drive to Giverny in the small village of Limetz-Villez. The hosts Veronique and Franck are absolutely lovely people who made us feel very welcome at their home. We highly recommend it!
- Beth (10/5): - Regis is a wonderful host, the riverside cottage beautiful and proximity to Monet’s garden couldn’t be better!
- Erle (8/5): - Brilliant
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional. Wonderful Normandy experience. - Perfect peaceful location near Monet's garden and old towns. Clean, well thought our retreat for the full French experience. A great host, excellent conversationalist, over a great breakfast. Beautiful yard and secured, gated property. Would highly recommend this gem.
- Ludwig (10/5): Perfect French Cottage - Wonderful host, beautiful cottage and grounds. Walk to Giverny. Perfect!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly owners. Quite helpful with local sightseeing and restaurants.
Good breakfast and very nice accommodations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wow, L’Oree de Giverny is everything that is shown in the picture, and more. The hospitality was wonderful, we wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was exactly as shown in the picture, super clean and it felt brand new. We really enjoyed talking with the host and owner of L’Oree de Giverny which really added to our experience in Giverny. The grounds are absolutely lovely, a stream in back, fruit growing in the garden and a sweet cat named Harrison. We would love to go back to L’Oree de Giverny.
- John (8/5): Great place, just be sure to read the agreement. - Very nice place, and friendly host, but not too much in the area except for Monet’s house and garden. Be sure to read the fine print for this place though, they only accept cash! But overall I’d definitely stay there again.
- Richie (10/5): - I would give more stars if I could. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. The bed is super comfortable. The host went out of his way with excellent hospitality. Breakfast was a bit! This place is a gem!
- Erica (10/5): - Wonderful hosts! Regis and Veronique have a wonderful B&B. They are smart, helpful, thoughtful, and wonderful to talk to. The rooms were wonderful, and the grounds stunning with grapes to eat right off the vines. We would absolutely stay again!
- SusanandPaul (10/5): - Charming host Regis. Pristinely maintained property with gorgeous gardens. Great location for walking to Giverny. Don’t miss Regis recommendation of Bords du Seine restaurant nearby. Lovely outdoor seating, excellent food, friendly staff and great value.
- Wei (10/5): - This is a beautiful property. The owner is very nice and very helpful. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect accommodation walking distance to Giverny - L'oree is a renovated house fitted with style set in lovely gardens. The owners, Regis and Veronique are incredibly hospitable and are ready with helpful tips about where to eat and what to see locally.
- melvin (10/5): Love this French Countryside Cottage! - Fantastic stay! We started our summer holidays here, and all agreed it was the Best decision! Fantastic hosts, Amazing Breakfast! and a location that is so close to Monet's gardens, that we would not stay anywhere else if going to GLoveiverney.
- Janice (10/5): - Little cottage by the river with a home cooked dinner and breakfast by Vincent - what a beautiful time we had. This is an amazing property - grounds and homes are just beautiful. We wish we had stayed longer!
- Arielle (10/5): - Wonderful stay, the owner and the staff were exceptional!
- Ned (10/5): Beautiful property very close to Monet Gardens - This place is a real find. Super close to Giverny Gardens and very cosy. We stayed in
the suite near the river and it was perfect. Regis is a very amiable and fun host and
recommended some great stops in the area and for dinner. The breakfast on the back patio was superb. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- dc (10/5): Just Lovely! - We stayed here for a night after driving from the central Loire region to tour Monet's Gardens in Giverny. A bit tricky to find in the little village but well worth it. The facilities and setting are just beautiful. And, we truly enjoyed our conversations with Regis, Dominique, and Vincent. As if that isn't enough, the dinner and breakfast prepared by Vincent were outstanding!
We hope to stay here again on a return to tour this beautiful region of France.
- Janine (10/5): Fantastic B&B - One of the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Jus.t a wonderful experience from start to finish
- S (10/5): - This was an amazing experience--Vinzent and his family were very welcoming and we had a blast! He is a fantastic cook and we felt well taken care of! Cottage was pristine with an updated bathroom and plenty of space for a family of 4. Do not hesitate--we loved every minute of it!
- Olivier (10/5): Great place, great service, wonderful cuisine - A place where you feel confortable right away. Warm welcome, original and excellent food cooked with products from the owners’ garden.
- Erin (10/5): Must stay here! - One of the best places I've ever stayed in my many world travels. Vincent is a wonderful host and also an excellent up-and-coming chef. Highly recommend. Only a short bike ride from all the beauty of Giverny.
- Heung (6/5): Cash Only B&B if pay at the hotel - This B&B received Cash only.
But I did not know that until I checked in. I was embarrassed because I didn’t prepared enough cash.
And breakfast time starts from 8:30am, it is a little bit late to come to Monet’s garden for its opening time. The Monet’s garden had lots of visitors, so it was better to come early.
- stephen (10/5): Sheek and Stylish - Situated only 5 minutes from Monet's garden this accommodation is fantastic.
The property is set in it's own enclosed garden with electronic gate entry along with two other traditional cottages. From the outside the property looks very traditional but inside the décor is ultra modern and stylish and has been modernised to a very high standard, if you want luxury then this is for you.
The owners live in the majority of the house and our room was the upstairs. The breakfast which was included was very good and the service from our hosts fantastic, would recommend to any one.
- Cynthia (10/5): What a gem - Fabulous hosts, fabulous space, super convenient to Monet's home and gardens.
- Dave (10/5): - Fantastic from start to finish.
- Tony (10/5): Lovely friendly hosts and great location - Great location and very helpful hosts.
The property is on a lovely stream close to Monets Garden which is a short drive.
Breakfast was very nice
The hosts where very friendly and helpful with what to do in the region.
- Lee (10/5): An absolute gem - Beautiful location and accommodation. A very friendly and personal service from Regis who warmly welcomed us and settled us in very quickly. A shame we were only passing through for 1 night as we could easily have spent a week there. We will be back!
- fospot101 (10/5): monet gardens - We had a great overnight stay. Arrived at L'Oree Giverny at 11.30am and we allowed to check in early (check in time 6pm). Breakfast was very tasty with fresh breads, cheeses, meats and a good selection of yoghurts and juices. Easy walking distance to Monet Gardens (our reason for the stay). Our only problem was no mini mart in the area so we needed to drive to Vernon (not far) to get a couple of things. other then that it was wonderful. Highly recommended.
- Frederick C. (10/5): Pretty close to perfect - Regis, the Owner of this charming small spot is a great host; right there when you need him, and very friendly and informative. If you want to be left alone,he kind of senses that too, and is low key and out of the way. This is really a Bed and Breakfast experience, which can be hit or miss, so we typically avoid them. But this place rates just about perfect, and a few kilometers from Giverney which is just about the most beautiful place on earth (we had a car, but bikes would do). We were there during a heatwave, and there's no A/C...but a fan in the room saved the day(night).
- Nigel (10/5): Great place to stay close to Giverny - Great place to stay and close to Giverny. We were there for Bastille day, but Monique was very helpful with local advice and provided excellent breakfasts. We would go back again.
Nigel and Kerry Arkell
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel extremely close to the heart of Bayeux. - Hotel was quaint and staff was very friendly. Personalized service. Be sure to check out the photo's of famous visitors in the past.
- Scott (10/5): Very nice country B and B near Monets gardens - Excellent rooms and great host. Very nice breakfast and owner extremely helpful and accommodating. Only difficulty is finding it in the dark.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet and roomy - A very modern separate cottage that was well appointed and roomy. Breakfast was excellent in the main house and the host was very friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great way to visit Giverny - This bed-and-breakfast is a place to stay, a place to meet people, a way to get local inside information about this beautiful part of the country. I recommend it highly.
- jo136 (10/5): Wonderful - What a find in the beautiful Giverny countryside and so close to the amazing Monet's house and garden which was truly spectacular. We stayed in a small cottage in the grounds of the owners property. The owner, Regis and his wife, made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us. The cottage was clean and comfortable.
Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area
- Lynn (10/5): Superb location for visiting Giverny! - From the moment we got lost 20 metres from the hotel (SatNav probs - don't ask!) to the moment we checked out Regis and his lovely wife Veronique made our stay one of the best experiences of our recent trip to France. Regis welcomed us with a lovely refreshing drink of local cider, beer or wine after our long drive and took plenty of time to tell us all about the chambres d'hotes and the surrounding area. The house is set in stunning gardens and is decorated to the highest of standards designed by Veronique who has exquisite taste in decor! Our room, the loft suite was simply stunning, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Regis made a few suggestions about where to dine each night and we found a wonderful hotel in nearby La Roche Guyon overlooking the River Seine. Regis made breakfast each day and offered freshly baked croissants, home made jams, local honey, fresh fruit and yoghourts, cheeses and cold cuts and eggs any way you like them! On our last morning there was even a bowl of home made chocolate mousse which was absolutely delicious! Regis is a mine of knowledge about the area and told me there was a Sorolla retrospective on at the Musee in Giverny which I went to and absolutely loved as I'm a huge fan of Sorollas work! All in all a wonderful stay and we would certainly hope to go back one day!
- Stephen (8/5): Wonderful Giverny accomodation - We had a wonderful stay at this lovely B&B. Our hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful with great advice on sites, restaurants etc. The only suggestion we would make would be to add a couple of fans to the rooms. While we were there it was very hot and fans may have made sleeping more comfortable.
- Gayle (10/5): Lovely cottage in a small village close to Giverny - Delightful accommodations; guest cottage with queen bed and twin bunk beds; wonderful breakfast in the morning; very knowledgeable and accommodating host; host made dinner reservations for us in a wonderful restaurant in a nearby village; cottage is quick drive from Monet's Gardens at Giverny
- Deborah (10/5): Lovely B & B - We had a great experience at L'Oree de Giverny despite issues with high water in the Seine. We were given an alternate cottage which was absolutely fine for our needs. In addition Regis had booked us alternate accommodation in case we were not happy with the cottage. The location was close to Monet's House and Garden. Unfortunately, it was closed on the day we were there due to the high water again. Breakfast was wonderful as well.
- Bernadette (10/5): A great Giverny area experience - Beautifully renovated farmhouse type accomodation. Host Regis incredibly welcoming, entertaining and helpful. Generous breakfast. Wine on arrival. Could not be improved. Close to Giverny and other wonderful places in the region.
- Karen (10/5): Gracious host makes stay worthwhile - Our host, Regis, was most gracious and helpful.
We felt very welcome and cared for. Regis also had sent us a link which enabled us to buy tickets to Monet's house and garden prior to our arrival so we did not have to wait in line. The B&B is about a 20 minute walk from Giverny if you don't have a car.
- Sherri (10/5): Charming hotel - The B&B was a charming place and had a great host.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A pleasurable stay! - Wonderful stay and ideally located for Monet's gardens (though not on its doorstep). We were taking a slow route down to Spain and will definite make use of again. Breakfast out in the terrace was idyllic.
Owners offer use of cycles, Monets gardens are an easy bike ride away. Owners very helpful, providing information on local places to see and eat at.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a retreat with with comforts and well worth a short or longer stay.
