• Freya (7/5): Hot shower and comfy bed, but general cleaning and maintenance would improve the overall experience. - The property was adequately located to walk around the town. Good hot shower, bed was comfortable and clean. Washing machine was handy and heating system worked extremely well. The property could do with a good spring clean (couch, kitchen) and some general maintenance (tiles coming off walls in bathroom) which would make the stay more enjoyable. The large couch dominated the area and unfortunately did not look or smell inviting to sit on.

• Shantay (6/5): This apartment was adequate for one night’s sleep. I wish we would’ve had another towel. Not feeling our car was safe wa - Centrally located. We were able to walk to dinner. Kitchen smelled of restaurant grease and we only had 1 towel, that we had to share. Had to keep curtains closed as we were right at street level. No onsite parking, so did not feel safe leaving anything in the car overnight.

• Timothy (9/5): Good location, lovely furnishings and fittings, evening balcony if weather allows and very helpful host - Very clean, well appointed, great location. Any minor problems we had very quickly rectified by host, William Parking was by a Council office parking area. Was never sure if we were allowed to park there as we got stern talking to by Council official who said we shouldn’t but then said it was ok for 1 night 🤷‍♂️

• Peter (10/5): - Lovely apartment, balcony over the river was a nice perk. High quality furnishings and well equipped kitchen. Central location, tool our kids along the river to the playpark with their folding scooters one evening. Takeaway round the corner does good pizzas and fish and chips with short wait times. No on site parking, although there were nearby places to park and room to park on the kerb outside with hazards on to unload.

• Ian (10/5): Quiet and peaceful location. Met all our needs for a short visit for family occasion. - Central location in Wick with easy parking. Eateries within 5 minutes. Spent a lot of time in the apartment just looking out at the river and its wildlife and everchanging views. Good value for sleeping a family of 5. Nothing to dislike.

• David (10/5): Riverside apartments - Central location food and shops within 5 min walk. Close to train station also 5 mins walk It was not easy to locate at night time. Maybe a sign where there was light identifying it

• Boemelburg (9/5): - Lovely apartment. Very roomy Well heated.. clean and tidy Mattress in main bedroom could do with a replacement. The toilet bowl needs attaching to the floor.
• Lucy (5/5): Not worth what we paid but could be with a bit of work - It was very central and a lovely space. It has potential Lovely view and we liked the breakfast bar/ living area No banister up stairs and the motion light didn’t work until you went up the stairs in the dark. Shower holder was cracked Beds very uncomfy and squeaky. Bed frames aren’t even attached to bed so just rattle. The single bed was the comfiest. Only one sharp knife that was blunt Fairy gel bottle for washing machine was there but empty which doesn’t really make sense. There is a annoying tapping noise outside coming from the balcony area

• Peter (9/5): - The rooms are a good size. The lounge room is spacious and very comfortable. The bedroom was a good size, with a comfortable bed. The kitchen was good and had sufficient equipment. The heated towel rail in the bathroom was excellent. Having a washing machine is a bonus when you are travelling for a long time. It would have been good to have a drying rack to help the washing dry.

• Megan (1/5): Awful customer service - Can't answer as my booking was cancelled after the check in time by the host due to previous guest "not checking out" Customer service was shocking. I understand circumstances arise, however, the host was extremely rude, dismissive and argumentative. I explained this was booked for two colleagues who were already half way into their 6 hour drive to which his response was "well they cannot come here". I was told "this was not his fault" and he "didn't know what I expected him to do" in an extremely argumentative manner. I still have not received a refund for a booking the host cancelled and is now not responding to booking.com customer service. There is clearly a lack of organisation and communication as I was sent check-in details to then find out past the check in time my booking was now cancelled. Would avoid booking at all cost as I was left with no accommodation for two colleagues at 4pm on the day of arrival and am now struggling to receive a refund.

• Tom (10/5): Exceptional - Brilliant location for a lovely apartment that was super clean and comfortable for four of us. Lovely view over the river and really easy to get around town. The radiator in the bathroom had a tendency to catch an unsuspecting arm with a bit of heat but nothing that would stop me from booking here again.
• Mark (4/5): Ok. - We were visiting family in the county so just needed a place to lay our heads so in that case this was great. Location was central but there’s nothing going on around it at all. Erm… I had to chase the owners for the check in details. The apartment was ok but it was tired and dated. It has been well used and you can tell.
• Eter (8/5): Exactly what you pay for - Ebb and flow views directly from the windows was absolutely enchanting. In general property have everything you need to have a base for far north investigations. The key collect instruction we got just few hours before arrive. And that time we already were without internet. Would be better to get instructions one day in advance. Parking was fine but again would be better to have a bit more instructions in advance.

• Kimberley (8/5): Overal our stay was pleasant, it was clean, warm and tidy - Central location Just a few added extras, we had one towel between two of us, no spoons at all of any kind or bowls and maybe a toaster (we used the grill to make toast but a toaster would be easier)

Then all fine!
• Valerie (4/5): Disappointing. Would not stay again - Had to ask for key code on day of arrival as not been sent instructions. Flat disappointing. Wifi code sent did not work - reported this but no reply. No bowls supplied or spoons so could not eat cereal. Towels old with frayed edges. Bathroom light dim, shaver light not working. Old bottles of shampoo etc left in shower. Old sponge left to use for washing up was dirty. Coffee & tea available but no milk sachets or teaspoons. Very limited cutlery, no bottle opener.

• Brian (7/5): Pleasant apartment which would be ideal in the summer. - Location was excellent for me. On a sunny day it would be a lovely apartment. I also got a two bedroom apartment although only needed one. Shower had a mind of its own both in terms of power and direction. The TV in the bedroom is pointless as it seems to connect to nothing at all.

• Nicolas (8/5): Nice apartments - I rang the number when i arrived in Wick and was quickly sent a text message how to access the apartments, where to park and the WiFi code. The room had a spacious well stocked kitchen, the views were overlooking the river. If you stay, please pay a visit to Old Pulteney Distillery, very close by. Very good tour and guides were knowledgeable and shared some great insights into the time and effort taken in the distillery process. Not much going on in Wick, if you're thinking of staying as part of the NC500, carry on there are nicer places to stay than Wick.

• Anis (9/5): Superb - Wonderful stay, very clean and brilliant rooms and appartment. The location is very close to Wick station, the bus stops and the high street so very easy to get to with local takeaways not far aswell as supermarket. I booked a room with a balcony and it was refreshing and overall a great stay. The owner helped us out very quickly when we called, would definitely recommend if staying in the area.

• Virginia (1/5): Unacceptably dirty. Avoid. - It was in a good location for NC500 and fairly modern with a comfortable living / kitchen area. Where should we begin? The apartment was very dirty. We had to wash all the cutlery and plates because they were covered in grease. The oven didn’t work. There was no washing up liquid or dishcloths. There was a dirty pair of socks clearly left from a previous guest. The bedsheets did not smell clean. I would be very surprised if they had been washed. There was an EXCESSIVE amount of noise from 1-3am from outside and neighbouring apartments. It was very loud and disruptive. The beds were very cheap and uncomfortable, one had a broken spring which made sleep very difficult.

As you enter the street from the bridge, the property is on the right after two garages Great location. We had room 3 which supported 5 people. TV with Netflix etc. Beautiful view of river. Tea and coffee supplied. Spacious and great to have washing and cooking facilities. Good communication.

• Steve (9/5): Great apartment in central Wick - Fantastic apartment in central Wick with a view onto the river. Large living area with TV and sofa, fullly equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Highly recommended. I think the smoke alarm needed a new battery as it beeped occasionally.
• Alexander (4/5): I would not return under present arrangements - Location Kitchen equipment should be checked and improved; instructions for operation of microwave needed; no hair dryer plus no response to message sent about this (assisted by the cleaner locating one in another apartment). Phone call after departure claiming that I had not paid; either incompetence or a potential scam.

• Kerry (7/5): Good - Great location, right on the river and within walking distance of Wick town centre. Easy to find and although there is no private parking for the apartment, nearby there is plenty of free parking space available. The apartment was comfy enough for our family of four.

• Diana (1/5): Disappointed - Nothing Once I got there I noticed mess in the flat, wasn’t clean at all, in the entry on the table was opened can of Pepsi, crumbs in the oven, sticky worktop, doors from cabinets and microwave, dirty shower with hairs inside. Very disappointing.

• Mary (9/5): Fabulous find - I honestly wasn't expecting more than a basic apartment but was pleasantly surprised. We were in apartment 3, a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment which was superb. Really clean with everything you may need. Nice kitchen area, which had plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery, etc, plus washing machine. Bed was very comfortable and we heard no noise other than the river . It really was a great find and fantastic value for money. Parking is just across the street but this is clear from the property description.
