- Edyta (8/5): Family city break - * nice rooms
* air conditioning (unfortunately only in 1 of them)
* clean shared bathroom
* well equipped kitchen
* very good location
* very nice and helpful Team
* terrace on the 7th floor * kitchen furniture could be renowated
- Inês (7/5): Good -
- Konrad (8/5): Good but not excelent - The location was perfect Hard mattresses
- Agius (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (7/5): Good -
- Olivia (7/5): Good -
- Patrick (7/5): It used to be better. - Location Walls need paint, cabinets need paint, slippery floors in shower and around shower, not good lighting in the stairs.
- Gitta (5/5): Passable - Great location. Not very clean.
- Dayanand (7/5): Good - Staff was very helpful in guiding us and taking care of the luggage. The property is pretty centrally located i.e. walking distance from metro and just 3 stops to Lisboa center Room was not even vacuumed properly there was dirt from many days just flowing across floor. The elevator could move without the outer door closed
- Anonymous (8/5): Exept the noise from the kitchen during the night eveything else was perfect - Good location. Beautiful room. Well equipped shared kitchen. Our room was next to the shared kitchen which was aometimes used during the night. Every time the water was used from the tap or the cabinet doors were opened and closed, it caused a lot of noise in our room. So it wasn’t eaay to get a good sleep. But other rooms would not be affected by this.
- Aghunik (8/5): Very good -
- Sarapci (7/5): But despite of these it was perfect for us - Room was big , has balcony with perfect view, bathroom is new . Towels have stains on them , cleaning is not enough from the first day.
- Catharine (6/5): Great value for money - For a cheap hotel it was surprisingly comfortable. Not alot of facilities but since we were out all day and only needed a place to sleep, shower and change it was great. Breakfast was brought to the room every morning. We paid a little more for a private bathroom and balcony and it was well worth it A small table in the room would have been nice but since there's a kitchenette on every floor I suppose people make use of that. We loved being able to make our own coffee.
- Dos (8/5): Very good -
- Sharion (10/5): Great location, value for money, friendly - Great location near to the metro for sightseeing. I walked straight from the dome to lisbon cathedral to start my Camino. That it didn’t have a washing machine
- Patrycja (7/5): Good -
- Niki (8/5): Very good -
- Ágnes (6/5): Average place with good metro connection - Close to the metro station. Breakfast was only available from half past 8, first morning only from 9! We asked to get it the night before, because we didn't come to sleep, but to see the city, and twice out of three times they couldn't manage it, we had to tell them we didn't get it. It was also a surprise that it was not a buffet breakfast, as the answer to the question "Do you serve breakfast?" on their website is "You can ask for breakfast."
- Kyiesha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jiaer (9/5): Wonderful living experience with reasonable price! - Great location and very friendly staff. The room is cozy, clean and quiet. Kitchen is well-equipped and you get any tools you need! I can make a coffee with their coffee machine in the kitchen. Male and female bathrooms are separated and always clean which is very considerable! For female bathroom you have two shower facilities and one toilet and I never needed to wait for use them. Everything is perfect with a reasonable price! Highly recommend if you plan for living for few days exploring Lisbon. ;) Only one minor issue about the cabinet, there are no clothes hangers so I cannot put my clothes in the cabinet. But except for this nothing else to really complain about!
- Ihsan (7/5): My stay was very pleasant and I enjoyed the roof terrace views. The walls are quite thin and so you do hear people in th - The location is very central and near restaurants The only thing I’d say is there was slight damp smell coming from the en-suite and the shower water takes a while to drain away.
- Man (8/5): Very good - 3 minute walk to the metro station. construction material laying around the corridor.
- Tania (4/5): Not worth the money. - The location is good and it was nice to have someone always at the reception. The cleaning staff was very nice. The bathroom (6th floor) was terrible. It was dark, only one toilet seat for many rooms, no privacy. The water in the shower would sometimes be hot, sometimes cold; there was only one sink working, it was really bad. The kitchen was not well-equipped, very basic and cutlery missing. There was no sponge to wash the dishes and only one towel that was constantly completely wet. The rooms were very noisy, you could hear everyone else in and out and talking. Thankfully, all the guests were very nice and respectful.
- Barredo (6/5): Pleasant - The staff are friendly and accommodating especially, Pedro. He made sure to give us what we needed. And speaks English. The lobby needs to be renovated. The chairs are mismatched, the area rag is old, torn and smelly. The floor to the bathroom is uneven and no sign to warn us, twice we stub our toes to it. The elevator is uneven . No sign to warn us too.
- Izabel (8/5): Very nice place, would stay there again :) - Great location near metro station (50m) and coffee shops, pharmacy and mini market. Staff were very friendly and provided luggage storage free of charge. There’s two elevators in the building for more convenience. The neighborhood is overall relatively calm and nice, too. Breakfast is good and I had the option to choose between veg and non-veg menu which is another great option. Some of the doors are a bit old and there’s occasionally some difficulty getting the key in properly but that’s not so much of an issue.
- Marianne (3/5): Disappointing week stay in Lisboa. Waste - Good location in popular area of Lisboa This hotel hasn't changed in its functionality, cleanliness. 2y ago we re here. Nothing changed. Oldish
- GIHO (2/5): - I had a terrible experience!
Is this Portugal?
The bathroom is so narrow that when I sit on the toilet, my nose touches the glass door!
There are two sinks in the bathroom, but only one works for men and women!
The shower nozzle in the shower room leaks, but water spread out anyway, so I can use it!
Handle of the pot in the kitchen was broken one side, and there were forks and knives in the spoon holder, but no spoons!
No accidents occurred, but the broken wooden door was gaping, so I wondered if it was safe!
I think it would be okay for those who want to experience a 19th century apartment, but it is not at all up to 21st century standards, so I recommend not expecting much!
They said towels will change every 3days, Not every day!
What a nonsense !
- Paula (6/5): Pleasant - Room/towels/bedding were clean.. Water pressure great. Shutters on Windows for dark night sleep. Small balcony. location central
Staff very sympathetic and accommodating. Door lock was dodgy. Could see through keyhole. Corridor was dark and could use little TLC. Tom was next to kitchen and there was so much noise until around 1 am. Walls are very thin between rooms.
- Guenther (6/5): Pleasant -
- Luís (5/5): Passable -
- Hollie (7/5): Good -
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional - great location, safe and close to a number of great cafes, they allow luggage storage and the room was spacious the tap water in lisbon is questionable, it would be nice if we’re provided with a bottle of mineral water on arrival
- Timothy (10/5): - Great staff and kitchen
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Károly (8/5): Perfect location with a good price. - The location is perfect, the hotel is just 1 minute walk from the last station of the yellow line of the metro. The room was big and even had a balcony. The staircase and the corridor is a bit dodgy.
- Raphael (7/5): Excellent location, great staff, fair relationship of cost and quality - Location was the highlight.
We love the beds.
Staff was lovely and very helpful. It is an average accommodation, we think the comfort was in pair with the cost range. We didn't love the bathrooms, and the check-in process was a bit slow.
- Kiew (4/5): Disappointing -
- Chin (9/5): Comfortable - The accommodation is clean Nope
- Akovacsa (4/5): Disappointing -
- Anna (7/5): Good - Good location and comfortable bed, clean room. A good bit of mildew near the windows and in the decoration above the bed. Very helpful and responsive staff.
- Muhammad (10/5): Convenient and Clean - Close to Metro
- Andeja (8/5): Very good - Quite decent accommodation with shared kitchen. Location close to metro station, shops and other places. Furniture is modest, bathroom is clean and spacious.
- Gabriela (10/5): Exceptional - Place has old furniture but perfect location
- Mateus (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah-Jane (10/5): - Pedro and Carmilla provided excellent customer service, they were very friendly with excellent English. We weren't sure if the shared facilities were a good idea but they are honestly excellent showers, bathroom and kitchen and very clean. Exceptional value for money thank you for a great nights stay.
- Sanan (7/5): Good -
- Pitt-payne (10/5): Brilliant and helpful staff - Lovely and clean, breakfast delivered to hotel door at the time requested which was lovely and fresh. The receptionist working at the time could not have been more helpful, I really appreciate everything he did helping me withdraw money as all my belongings had previously been stolen from me. The receptionist also let me borrow his charger to charge my iPad which really saved me thank you so much! Nothing
- Rogier (6/5): Great location for a short visit. - Excellent location for visiting Lisbon. Much even at walking distance, nice park and restaurants in the surrounding. Towels and/or sheets weren’t replaced during our stay of a week. Also only 1 toilet for a whole floor is not sufficient.
- Jelena (8/5): You can stay here 🙃 - Location is very good. I loved staying at Rato naighborhood, it's more or less flat, good connected with other parts of the city. In front of this hotel, there are 3 bus stops and Metro station. In every floor there is a kitchen, very well equiped, so you can prepare some meal or make a coffee (there is a coffee machine, I bought capsuls in the market which is across the street). New towels you get after every 3 nights. People who work in the reception are very kind and helpful. Room is equipped basic but has all the most important facilities you need for a stay. We had 7 nights here and were satisfied. There is a smell of the moisture in the bathroom, and that leaves a sense that it is not the cleaniest hotel but I hope they will take care about that soon. Everything else is good.

Certainly! Here’s a more polished and professional version of your review while keeping the strong negative sentiment intact:
Terrible experience.
The receptionist was extremely unprofessional—his behavior was unsettling, his facial expressions were strange, and he was outright rude to me. The room was in poor condition: the floor was dirty, there were no towels provided, and the heating was remotely controlled, leaving me cold throughout my stay. To make matters worse, the walls were paper-thin, and I could hear everything happening around me, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
- Helen (1/5): Bad - Location was OK, but good 25min walk to centre. 2 guys on reception were nice and helpful The room was awful... Fresh blood on carpet, broken tiles in bathroom. Worst accommodation I have stopped at. Didn't sleep at all...... Never return..... So bad we left 6am and didn't bother to wait for breakfast we paid for.....

- Jovani (10/5): All the staff is very Friendly especially Pedro, he has a lot of attention to details, amazing attitude and makes you fe - Amazing property I really liked my stay, have a continente shop just around the corner and it around 5 minutes away from the Rato Metro station I have nothing bad to say about the property
- Anli (7/5): Good -
- Mohamed (5/5): It was good value for the price paid! - The place was nice overall; close to many places around. The bathroom was shared; this was NOT clearly specified in the details before booking! Although we did not have a unpleasant experience; This is something that MUST be shared. Not everyone would be ok with a shared bathroom! The room had a glass door which was not comfortable either! The lighting in the room was terrible.

- Kenneth (8/5): Nice Guest House, Great Location in Lisbon - The Wallis Guest House was nice and conveniently located, we enjoyed our stay in Lisbon largely due to the location of this property which provided easy access to the many things we walked to visited during our three day stay in the city.
- Leonardo (8/5): Very good -
- Kadiu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rafael (8/5): Very good - A well-sized room with a thoughtful layout and two access options to the upper floors. The kitchen is equipped for a short staying with what you’d need. The shared bathroom is clean, as is the room itself. Fresh and clean bedding adds to the comfort of the stay. The place would greatly benefit from a renovation. It’s an old building with outdated rooms that feel poorly maintained and hastily adapted. The overall appearance and comfort could be significantly improved with some updates.
- Gelleam (8/5): Very good -
- Nicole (7/5): It’s ok but definitely nothing fancy - Ended up being a free parking option on a Saturday night!
Close to restaurants.
Reception staff were friendly It was ok.
Hallways - and especially the stairs - were very dark.
Kitchen was quite run down. But it was nice to have a separate place to hang out
A bit challenging to find - we drove.
- Jan (9/5): Superb - Location 100m from the metro and bus stops, view, cleanliness and excellent behavior of the staff. It is not so obvious for this category of accommodation that there is enough space to store things and there are plenty of plugs and they are close at hand by the bed. We left 200 Euros in the room when we left. They phoned us about it when we were on our way to Lagos. I especially want to appreciate their honesty and willingness. They sent the money to our account without any problems. Thanks. -
- Guenther (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (10/5): Private and comfortable rooms in a great location - Great location, good sized rooms, decent facilities, friendly staff, and excellent value. Showers were not the best - the shower tray filled up very quickly!
- Matija (8/5): Very good -
- Paredes (7/5): Good -
- Sarolta (7/5): Decent - The accomodation is in a good location, aprox 20 min by foot to Barrio alto, the room is clean but the furniture is old, there is a shared kitchen on every floor equipped with necessary appliances The furniture

- Anouar (8/5): Very good -
- Umesh (7/5): the bathroom for women was under maintainance, at least early inform should have done! - at good location Not specific,
- Djomgoue (9/5): Superb - Very good
- Rosolina (5/5): Passable - The doors of the rooms and the keys did not seem secure at all and anyone with a bit of force could open the door and come into the room.
- James (9/5): Satisfactory experience - Good location very close to Rato Subway Station, supermarkets, restaurants and a short walk to Bairro Alto. Tram and buses nearby. A very good air conditioner is great for the hot summer. Kitchen facilities and a nice terrace. The Staff was very helpful. I recommend labelling the food you put in the fridge since some items can be lost 😆.
- Anajovanovic79 (8/5): good value for money - Everything was as stated in the description. This was my first time staying in accommodation with a shared bathroom, and I was pleasantly surprised. The setup was very well organized, with separate bathrooms for men and women. The women’s bathroom had two cabins and was kept very clean throughout my stay. The kitchen was spacious and equipped with all the basic appliances needed for cooking. The location is excellent—right next to the metro, making it super easy to get to any part of Lisbon. The room was quite basic, with no closet for storing belongings. Instead, there was only a hanging clothes rack. Additionally, there was a door connecting our room to the next, which meant we could hear all the noise coming from the neighboring room, affecting our privacy and comfort.
- Monica (7/5): Good base to see Lisbon. You get what you pay for. - Good location about 1 minute from metro. Good hot shower. Beautiful views of coast from balcony and rooftop terrace is pretty nice too. Shower hot. Air con good. Beds uncomfortable. Shower didn't drain very well. 1 roll of toilet roll issued for 3 people staying 4 nights. Yes ask at reception but why not just use common sense and give more to begin with? Not allowed to smoke on balcony for some reason.
