• Rebecca (10/5): Loved the room. Great for our pet. Did not expect the extra $75 charge though. First time for this - Room was great size. Large TV which my husband liked. Bathroom was spacious. I think it was for handicapped because of all the bars in the low tub. Great for me. AC blew on me for 5 minutes and I froze in bed. Then it cut off and I was hot in 6 minutes. Repeated throughout the night. I thought I had turned it up, but I did not. That would have helped.

• sgriz (6/5): Choose your room wisely! - I’m struggling with this review because the hotel is lovely, ideally located, and the staff all seemed very nice. BUT if you stay here please avoid room 301. I lost a night of sleep due to the street noise. A very loud garbage truck was right outside the room, a loud train was nearby early in the morning, and loud vehicles kept me up late at night. I told the front desk woman in the morning about the noise and she told me there are no trains nearby. I thought I was losing my mind- I swear I heard a train for about 20 minutes straight. Well lo and behold on our NC State tour we crossed over train tracks and the tour guide confirmed that yes- trains do run right there! So while I would not stay here again due to being a complete zombie for the next day I do appreciate that it’s indeed a lovely hotel. On a side note- my sister was in a different room and said it was completely quiet and amazing.

The staff was incredibly accommodating from start to finish and made the logistics of traveling with a large group feel seamless. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-suited for our team’s needs. The location was also really convenient, especially for getting to and from competition venues and meals. We especially appreciated how helpful and responsive the staff was whether it was coordinating arrivals, handling small requests, or even following up on items left behind. That level of care doesn’t go unnoticed. Overall, a really positive experience, and we’d absolutely look forward to staying here again in the future.

The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and quiet, the staff are so kind and helpful, and the view of the bell tower is the best (especially when it’s lit up red). The location is great for trips to tour or visit NC State, central enough to be convenient for visits to go to a concert or Hurricanes game, check out the local museums, and there’s many amazing spots nearby for coffee, food, fun, or for drinks. The bar on-site is amazing and the bartender Robin is excellent. 10/10 would recommend for anyone coming to visit Ralz!

The staff really made the stay. They were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Check in was smooth, our questions were answered quickly, and you could tell they genuinely care about guests having a good experience. The location is perfect, right across from the belltower; you can even hear them chime! Easy walks to all of the restaurants and bars on Hillsborough Street. I am sorry, do you think that is enough? I had to go home and SCRUB, disinfect myself. This is NOT OK!

An easy walk next door for coffee & biscuits to the left of the hotel entrance and an easy walk next door for tacos and margaritas to the right of the hotel entrance. We got in early, but they where able to move us around so we had rooms available. The room and whole building was spotless. I stayed at the road side of the building, but there was no noise at all. The whole atmosphere gave me a cozy feeling. It didn't felt like a large hotel you get lost in. And everybody was helping you. Highlight is the bar. We came back from our meetings really late (10.30pm) and they kept the bar open. When we asked when does the bar close the answer was when do you go to bed. That is real customer service. I’m leaving on a Tuesday… who would think the entire city would be sold-out! Seemingly this was my fault, so it would be remorse not to commend the amazing staff at the hotel for their service . I’d give the staff 10 stars , if possible. The front desk greets guest with a warm welcome and genuine concern for your stay needs and comfort. Absolutely nothing is a bother to them. I’m chatty so I was there for a minute and saw them treat all guest without any judgement and with the same respect. The amazing service continued from the bar, food market and security. All of them were kind, professional and committed to me having the best experience their hotel could provide. During my stay I met Megan, Stacy, Mohamed, breakfast chef/ security . All of them were equally impressive. As a business owner, I’d be honored to have any and all of them to interact with my guest. I hope your managers know how fortunate they are to have you . The food ideology is extremely outdated. Oh- and there's no indication how much any of the food items cost.
• Quincy (4/5): - We were there Thursday through Sunday, and despite the fact I requested it, there was no service in the room. I had to get towels from the front desk myself. The swimming pool was closed as was the weight room.
• Gena (10/5): - It was cool a lot of restaurants was walking distance and I loved that.
• Bags_Packed_DES (6/5): CREEPY/SMELLS OF DOG/CAN'T SLEEP DUE TO NOISY AC - I didn't look at the age of the reviews, but I do not understand the excellent reviews of this location. It was my first and last stay. In fact, I would have left had I not been up since 2:30 am and exhausted. I have stayed in other Aloft locations, but this was different -- and not in a good way! It has the vibe of a unkept nightclub. It is dark, dingy, full of graffiti and neon lights. It smells like dogs (and apparently they cater to guests with dogs). I love dogs, but surroundings need to be clean and well kept. I am a professional female who travels solo for work and rarely get a feeling like this, when I got off the elevator it felt CREEPY. As if this was not enough, the air conditioner was so LOUD and kept cycling on and off all night. I have contacted Marriott. They (corporate) need to make a visit to this property.
• Abeer (2/5): - The hotel smells like insecticide and pillows are too soft and not supportive. The room is too small and bed not comfortable for such hefty price tag.
