- Hemmos (10/5): Excellent Location - Great apartment it was spacious and very clean. Everything provided for our stay including some dishwasher tablets. We had 2 bedrooms so it suited us with ourselves and 2 children. We had a balcony and we loved having the use of that. Superb location and the street felt very safe. The entrance door had a key fob to get in and also for the corridor. Apartment door had 2 locks and a safetry chain so we felt secure during our stay. Would go again and recommend.

Worked well for our family vs having to squeeze into a hotel room.

The woman at the front desk was very kind, and Mario at the front desk was amazing. They asked questions about where we were coming from and genuinely cared to make small talk! I would absolutely stay here again if I find myself back in London.

- StardoeA (8/5): Location - Located near west end, British and other smaller museums. Plenty of pubs and a nice Italian restaurant next door. Russel Square tube station, Waitrose and Tesco mini a 2 minute walk away. Can get the tube from Heathrow. Spacious 1 brm apartment with washer/dryer and easy to cook. A real key to get in the door - none of this hit and miss digital on your phone access. This was our second stay. Price was similar to 2 yrs ago. It is expensive, but in that part of London you expect it. The exchange rate added to the expense. Easy contact prior to check in. Stored our bags before and after. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend it.
- mommyg318 (4/5): Good and bad. mostly bad. - I want to make a very blunt and honest review because I believe that if anyone's staying here because they're utilizing the Children's Hospital/any hospital services near by you should re-think this establishment. It's not a place for a sick child or family member. TMI Maybe- but we had black snot coming from our sneezes and when we would blow our noses. Theres pictures as to why I believe that to be. Attached are numerous photos of walls and fabrics in the 2 Bedroom Apartment we rented for 4 days in Nov '25. If you see the photos of walls you'll see black stuff on them. At first I thought they were scuffs, but upon closer inspection it's all mold. There was also some in the bathroom attached to bathroom #1 that I cleaned up for them. I walked to the grocer and bought some disinfecting wipes, the walls wiped black in there. Also pictured in bedroom #2 is the stained curtains and wall, like someone spilled a coffee. The couch in the main sitting area is soiled and so worn in you can feel the bars of it. It's sunken in. The maroon chairs that go along with them are also soiled. The bedding to bedroom #1 was soiled (the grey fabric pictured.) with a red-ish substance in a small splatter. Previous reviewers said that the beds were uncomfortable and they were pretty right, but I didn't have any deep bone pain like I use to when sleeping on a hard-as-rock bed. Previous reviewers were right about how tight the quarters are. This space isn't good for anything more than 3-4 people. We were three people and I still got sick of the tightness of the doors in the bedroom with the bathroom attached to it. I had to keep my luggage in the main sitting area/kitchen area like someone else mentioned in a review. The place was as dated as others say. THE PROS: it was a place to lay our head at night and attempt to keep up on laundry. had a kettle to make coffee in the morning and a running fridge to keep foods in to keep travel costs low. They had good security at least, I didn't feel unsafe. CONS: everything mentioned.
- suzannefY8145ZC (10/5): Saco Holborn Apartment/hotel London Oct 2025 - I had a 6 night stay at the Saco Holborn. Really a wonderful stay all around. It was everything I expected, given my research. There were no surprises! Location was excellent, about a 5 minute walk from Russell Tube Station, and maybe a 10 minute walk from Holborn Tube station. There was a grocery store directly across from Russell station. In addition, Lamb’s Conduit is a nice quiet street, with many coffee shops, several pubs, and many restaurants all within walking distance. The street itself was very quiet, and my apartment faced directly onto the street, but no noise bothered me despite the fact that I had the full sized windows opened during the evening. I did not have too much interaction with the staff, but everyone was friendly, I felt safe, access is controlled by a sensor at the front door. The apartment was a very good size, with a full kitchen, tv in both living room and bedroom, fast wi-fi and average size bath. I found the bed to be very comfortable, but maybe the couch and rugs/carpet could use a bit of updating. Overall I would definitely stay here again for a reasonably priced extended stay in London, as the location was so convenient to get around this beautiful city.

- Andrew (10/5): Spacious room with kitchen and laundry - I found this room when looking for a reasonably-priced room near Kings Cross in London with a queen-sized bed, a mini-fridge, and enough space to move around. This checks all those boxes and more! Most of the other rooms I found around this price range were much smaller, had twin/full size beds, and no fridge/kitchen. Nice bonuses for me were wifi, a clothes washing machine, and very friendly staff nearby. The location is nothing fancy, but there are pubs & shops nearby, it was quiet at night, and I felt safe walking nearby. This apartment-hotel is highly recommended as long as you don't need extra hotel amenities like room service or a pool. I will definitely consider this location for future stays!

- goesawayalot (10/5): Fabulous - 4 of us stayed in room 207 for one night to attend an event on the Thames and it was absolutely fantastic. We had a 2 bedroomed apartment with an extra bed in the living room which had already been made up for us, a double room with an en-suite and a twin room and a separate bathroom. Everywhere was spotless and the beds were extremely comfortable. Tea bags and coffee were provided in the kitchen area and the toiletries provided in the bathrooms were of high quality. The area is very vibrant with pubs and independent cafés dotted around. It was also very convenient to get to and we walked there from Euston Station. We were also able to walk to our venue on the Thames. The following morning when leaving the apartment we met with Jack to drop off the keys. He said we could leave our cases for the day while we went out and nothing was too much trouble for him, he was a lovely young man and is a credit to the Company. My friend who booked said she had previously liaised with Jack and Mario and had nothing but praise for them. I would definitely recommend this apartment if wanting to stay in this area of London. Lovely to meet you Jack from the 4 scouse women.

Large stains on carpet, balcony furniture extremely old, tatty, worn and probably dangerous to sit on. Plastic plants outside full of weeds and clearly years old. Dated decor, curtains, cupboards and furniture inside and rooms pretty drab, bar a few coloured cushions. Most windows locked shut. Great location, but didnt feel in view of the above it was worth the money and we wouldn't stay again.

The people working in the reception were excellent, especially Jack who was super helpful. The main problem was a lack of wardrobe and cupboard space.The area could be noisy at night. - babsdave (10/5): Great unit for a family of four - Saco Holborn is located in a lovely part of town, with several shoppes, restaurants and cafes nearby. Easy walks to Russell Square and Holborn Underground stations. Our 2 bdrm apt was the perfect space for our family of four. My warning is after you book, recheck rates frequently. Our rate was reflected much lower a week before our visit, than when I booked 5 months prior to our visit and management did not honor the current/better rate. When I asked to get it updated, management did not answer my texts and so was charged the higher rate.

The worst on record. Never again.

- Alexandra (6/5): Good access, clean. - The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout our stay. When we discovered that the sofa bed wouldn’t unfold, the gentleman at reception promptly arranged a folding bed as an alternative, which we really appreciated. However, the room lacked air conditioning—only fans were provided—so we had to keep the windows open at night. Unfortunately, this made it difficult to sleep due to constant noise from the street below, including sounds from nearby restaurants, trucks, and a construction site.
- PassionClub (6/5): - We stayed in a 2-bed apartment for a week in late June / early July 2025. The apartment was quite small and cramped, we were a family of 5 and couldn't fit our suitcases in the bedrooms, so they had to be sprawled in the living room. With the sofa bed setup in the living room, it was extremely cramped. The apartment didn't have aircon, and it got very hot, especially as London was in the midst of a heat wave. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, 5 days in I woke up with a seized back, and had to find a place to get physiotherapy, which took 2 to 3 days to get better. The location is great, nice pubs and restaurants nearby, as well as transport options.

The office is open daily so they accepted my Amazon packages arriving while I’m out and they were so gracious about it. They can hold your luggage if you check out and still have a few hours to go. It was a great experience and great value for money in central London.

We stayed there twice during this year. The king size bed is excellent and we slept very well. The members of the staff are all very kind and helpful.
- Patsy006 (4/5): Unpleasant - My complaint concerns the senior man at the front desk of SACO Holborn, Lamb’s Conduit Street, Friday 20 June about 6:30pm. There were several of us who needed assistance. He was rude and dismissive. When it was my turn I told him my television was not working. He kept telling me this couldn’t be the case. I just needed to press “watch tv”. Finally, he agreed to come up and see. He saw that it needed fixing and started reprogramming. There was silence for a few minutes as he worked, when he suddenly asked, out of the blue: “are you alone?” Just that: “are you alone?” I answered ‘yes’. But I was shocked. Why would he ask that question? It was wholly inappropriate and, frankly, frightening. He finished after a few more minutes and left. But I was shaken by the question and its implied threat. I have flown over a million miles on business. I have stayed in many kinds of accommodation. I have never been asked such a question and certainly not when in a room alone with a strange (and somewhat hostile) man. I have stayed at SACO Holborn since 2013, sometimes several times a year. Will I come back?
- SerenityLost (10/5): Great Stay at SACO Holborn - I've stayed in many Airbnb and VRBOs and I was very impressed by this place. It was clean and in a great location. It had everything we needed and if there was a problem they have people on staff to take care of it. I would highly recommend.

- Jclsa (10/5): For years with satisfaction - We've been regularly booking the Saco on Lambs Conduit Street for many years, and we can say we've always been very satisfied. It's very convenient that the reception is open until 7 p.m., and if you arrive later, the self-check-in system is completely hassle-free. The service is always very friendly, competent, and helpful when questions or requests arise! The apartments are bright, very clean, quiet, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, even for longer stays. The location is perfect: the subway, Restaurants,the Brunswick shopping center,some museums, etc. are all within walking distance. A great neighborhood!

- propaneKauai (6/5): Think twice - We booked this through VRBO, looking for the type of cozy apartments we'd found in London before. SACO was fine enough, but it is NOT a vocational rental nay owner by a long stretch. It is like a barely furnished apartment in a large building on a noisy street (when the pubs heat up). There are virtually NO amenities! Spatula for touring eggs? Forget it? Wine opener, bottle opener, assortment of glasses, coffee maker? Nope. You get the bare bones (a few plates and silverware) and no cleaning services. It was not what we'd hoped, obviously, but it was in a great part of London and we gad a good time. We are 70 years old so maybe we have simply aged out of college apartment and hostel type places.

- rusticpie (4/5): look elsewhere - Booked two nights before going into UCL Hospital for surgery. the apartment was very tired stained carpets, windows and door handles difficult to open and close as they had dropped out of position. There wasn't any washing up liquid , cleaning clothes or tea towels provided, which would have been useful as the dishwasher flooded across the laminated floor. The seal had gone on the door which quite obviously wasn't a new problem. The surrounding kitchen units were damaged by the faulty dishwasher and falling apart. My wife went to reception who promptly sent a maintenance man who condemned it as unusable. Back to reception she went to a man who offered us the use of the neighbouring flat just to wash up! After a while we were offered a different apartment for our second day, which was better and noticeably had a replacement integrated dishwasher minus of course any matching kitchen door. Hope this gives a picture before making your decision. The location was good for UCLH the apartment was clean but that’s about . The young lady on reception when we arrived was helpful. The man who dealt with our problem less caring.

- SDS217 (10/5): Perfect location in Bloomsbury - SACO Holborn, situated on one of the prettiest streets in Central London, puts you within a 15 minute walk of cute shops, incredible restaurants, lovely coffee shops, Brunswick Shopping Centre (with an excellent grocery store, more eateries, a drug store and small hardware store), great museums (including The British Museum) and St. Pancras/King's Cross for easy transportation options. A 30 min walk gives you access to Soho, Covent Garden and the West End. For the area, the accommodations are a bargain and the apartments are spacious, clean and well managed.

The location is very good (close to shops, subways, buses) and the staff was very kind and helpful. The neighborhood is calm at night, which is great when you travel with kids. And the price is very reasonnable. I said the quality sleep was average only for the person sleeping in the living room because the light was going through the curtains earlly in the morning. Maybe, if we come back, we will take a night mask :-). Overall I highly recommend the Saco Apartment!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointing - Receptionist was lovely and super friendly. Apartment was sparse, dated and badly designed. The good points were the water pressure (shower - although bathroom was tiny and dated) and the receptionist. I won’t ever stay here again though - I can get a more comfortable space elsewhere.
- SeeSeeLondon (10/5): Great for groups - We were a group of 3 and booked a 2 bedroom apartment. Our apartment was on the top floor with a spacious rooftop terrace. The apartment is functional with all necessary amenities. The bedsheets and the towels were fresh and clean so was the apartment. You would say it is "well lived in" but everything was clean and working (hot water, heating, functional kitchen). Did I mention the comfortable beds? There was nothing we missed and we will definitely come back. The staff was very nice and helpful and we could even check in before 12 pm because our room was already cleaned and ready. The location is also very convenient and perfect for a city stay. 100 % recommended!

The apartments are very well equipped, clean and if something is broken, it will be repaired promptly. We really appreciate that the reception is very well staffed. We would especially like to thank Antonio and Panarat for their competent, professional and warm welcome this week (21.-25.2.2025). We would like to make a request to the management : Please ensure that there are 2-3 replacement chairs in a depot on the site. A one-bedroom apartment often only has 2 chairs. If one wants 1 extra chair, it is very difficult for the crew to get an extra one as there is not a single chair in stock! We look forward to being guests again in June 25. Text hier eingeben

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and it was great value for money for a stay in Central London. The location was perfect, with lots of nice cafes and restaurants within walking distance. I scored the room as 'very good' as there was no full length mirror which is always a helpful addition to any room.
- DLHAlaska (6/5): Great location, needs cleaning - The location is excellent and the staff very helpful. However, the apartment we stayed in needed maintenance. The door to the hot water heater did not stay closed and the shower dripped. The rug in the main room needed to be shampooed and the entire apartment needed deep cleaning. When I asked the staff about it, she said that they have difficulty getting maintenance people to keep the apartments up. I'm not sure that I would stay here again even with the great location.

- arthistorian2018 (10/5): After 20 years we keep returning every year - The apartments are clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious. Kitchen is adequately equipped, but we did not cook except for breakfast. Mario and Josiah at Reception truly extend themselves to make sure the guests are comfortable. They are always in good humor which makes the stay pleasant. That, after 20 years of visits, we keep returning 2 and 3 times a year indicates we are happy with the place.

In addition the power in half the room went out which lost the ability to use the television on which the number to call for emergencies was on. The worst part though was that i prepaid on Expedia but the person at the desk still tried charging my credit card. Then over a week later I was charged 10 pounds for no reason and no explanation. The room itself was nice but overall I don’t recommend

- Ann Marie (2/5): - This property is not upscale by any means. Our one bedroom was dirty, smelly, worn out, and the shower covered in mould. The bed linens are nice but the bed was completely worn out. The carpet was filthy, and the place smelled of bodily dirt. The kitchen amenities are sparse and of poor quality. There are two pubs nearby which are quite noisy. The building is not wheelchair accessible and there are no wheelchair accessible units. I usually don’t write bad reviews but I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone. The management wouldn’t respond to any of my communications.

- Peter (8/5): - This was an ideal base for a week long stay in London. It is within easy walk of many underground and overground stations, including St Pancras for regional services. Lamb's Conduit is a very funky street, home to good restaurants such as Noble Rot. The property itself is not exactly flash, but internally it is very comfortable, has excellent facilities for cooking and washing and even basic entertainment. The only issue is that without airconditioning it can be very warm in the apartments, though they did provide a fan. Fine when the temp is in the low 20s, but could be a problem when it gets hotter. Nice and efficient operators. Thoroughly recommended.

- David (8/5): - Really like staying here as I love the local area, close to everything and has more room than your standard hotel room. Only issue is the heat and lack air flow. Dont stay here in summer, you wont survive.
- Tamara (6/5): - Have had a few previous stays here, and enjoyed it. But the property is showing its age, and service standards gone down. A major issue was the total lack of air movement in the hot, stuffy apartment - it was sweltering. Staff did bring electric fans, but SACO needs to update these flats! They also should revise the policy of garbage pick-up/cleaning only once a week. In warm weather, leaving food garbage for 5-6 days is not okay. During my stay, the lifts also were offline for 2-days - and clients (paying $$ for their stay) had no assistance to carry luggage up many flights of stairs (I saw one couple had large suitcases to haul to the 5th floor). The location is excellent, and points to the weekend staff who did try to help.. but the value for money from SACO has diminished at this location. Install air systems, please!

SACO Holborn sent information before the trip on how to access my key if I arrived out of reception hours, as well as directions from Russell Square tube station. The flat was immaculate and had everything that I needed: full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, cooker/stove top, microwave, dish washer and washer. They supplied dishwashing/laundry soap as well as soap/shampoo, etc. in the bathroom. The heated towel rack was amazing! The staff in reception were great and I send a shout out to Jo. The location cannot be beaten for convenience to the tube and bus transportation. There are groceries/coffee houses/restaurants and cafes on the street. I felt safe and welcome. Thank you SACO Holborn for a wonderful stay.

- Geoffrey (10/5): - I have stayed here before but I have now decided that SACO Holborn is my favourite place to stay in London. The apartment was quiet and comfortable, and at the end of a two-week trip elsewhere, the washer and dryer were a godsend. It's a 2-minute walk along the street to the stunning Noble Rot restaurant, or to the magnificent Victorian pub, The Lamb. And since my last visit to London there is now open and nicely restored at the top of the street a Victorian subterranean public toilet, WC Bloomsbury--WC now standing for Wine and Charcuterie! It was closed down and derelict for about 50 years but is now bustling with diners and tipplers. The apartment's kitchen has every appliance for you to fix your own meals, and you are less than a 10-minute walk from a large Waitrose supermarket, Boots the Chemist, and many other shops. Russell Square underground station is equally close by. Excellent, fast WiFi in the apartment, too.

It gets a little noisy at in the front but the bedroom faced back so bc all was good. I would definitely stay here again.

I was SHOCKED to see the toilet had been used as it was not flushed. Not sure if the cleaners didn't bother to clean it, which seems unlikely or the cleaners used it and didn't flush, which is grossly unprofessional. I wish I'd taken a picture but I was desperate and didn't have time.
