- John (10/5): - Y
- Della (4/5): - No coffee, hole in ceiling, poor amenities such as soap
- James (10/5): Hunters Lodge - Great place to stay. Quiet and comfy. It was the old Norris Funeral home. Ghost groups would enjoy it. Had a very nice stay.
- Ross (6/5): - Needs help. No coffee, not comfortable, no soap in room. Disappointed.
- Zevon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Morgan (5/5): Passable -
- Laura (7/5): Good - Very friendly staff comfortable beds! Awesome shower! Tiles missing in ceiling of room.
- Susie (2/5): Disappointing - Very little We were totally misled when booking online. We were supposed to have a queen bed, ktichenette with coffee pot but had nothing in the room. There was a coffee pot by the lobby where we could make some, but no one else made any. There was only one tiny cup provided in the bathroom & no extra toilet paper (the roll was nearly empty when he arrived), The worst part was the step down between the bathroom & bedroom we had to navigate when getting up during the night. (We are seniors.) The room was very crowded as they tried to fit in a table & 2 big chairs.
- Wimmer (5/5): Passable -
- Candida (6/5): Pleasant -
- Signalgurl (9/5): Superb -
- Teresa (8/5): - Nice place to stay. Very affordable. Room was very small and lighing was poor. Seen some mouse dropping around the legs of the bed. Room was cold but was bearable. I would stay there again.
- Matthew (10/5): Great Staff - Very courteous and professional staff member. I'm terrible at mames
but I think Tosha? Fantastic classic hotel in great shape.
- Tyler (8/5): Very good -
- Tracy (8/5): Our stay was good. The counter person was very friendly. The room was clean and bed comfortable. - Check in was easy. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not provided but they did have coffee. There was a mini fridge in the room which was helpful. The room was nice sized and the bed was comfortable. It took a while for the water to get hot. There was not a thermostat in the room.
- Dale (8/5): ok - majestic showers cold
- Christian (6/5): - only chance for accomodation but could be cleaner. Aircon not adjustable and too cold. Cover warm blankets were missing, Iver all far to expensive
- Tibor (8/5): Very good - Only motel in town. Front desk was friendly. AC is centrally controlled for all rooms. No adjusting per room. Thin walls!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok for most in the area - The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was very hot. The AC vent had very little air moving. The staff was very friendly and apologetic for the issues and was going to address them immediately.
- Laura (6/5): Pleasant - The shower was hot and good spray! I didn't like the beds and the kitchen was dirty. Covered in dirt. They run the ac/heat unit which is fine but it got cold and we ended up sleeping in our clothes and coats to stay warm.
- Patricia (8/5): Very good -
- Barry (5/5): Good from far but far from good. - It’s the only place to stay in that area. Water wasn’t even warm. Needs some updates.
- Clark (8/5): - It's an old funeral home that now serves as a lodge and it happens to be good enough to stay the night in.
The lighting could have been brighter.
- Susan (8/5): Very good - It was large and roomy for my large family. It had everything we needed for the night. The beds were clean and great size. There is plenty of seating. You definitely get what you pay for. It's not a fancy Ritz but perfect for a family on a tight budget. Very friendly. Perfect for hunters or large groups of people. I would stay there again if needed to. Since it was a room meant for long stays, it was not cleaned well. There was food left in drawers and cupboards. It's normal for some bugs when in Texas, and it's not used daily, but it should have been vacuumed before we got there. And the fridge could have been wiped out.
- Donald (10/5): - Quaint
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Ester (7/5): Good -
- Snell (5/5): Passable -
- Stephen (4/5): - Very limited services at the hotel. Only one restaurant in the town and it was horrible!
- Coulson (5/5): Passable -
- Robert (7/5): Good - Paducah is a small town, without modern hotels/motels. This facility is old, but was clean.
- A (5/5): Passable -
- Winton (5/5): Passable -
- Pope (1/5): Crappiest hotel stay ever. - At 71 years old, this is the absolute worst hotel experience in my life.. it was so bad that i left on the 3rd morning. Room was filthy, had beer bottles (12) left from last occupant. Toilet l
Was leaking grey water that you had to stand in to use. Blinds were missing many slats so the light from outside was coming in all night. HORRIBLE!!!!!!
- Max (8/5): Very good -
- VICTORIA (8/5): - OVER ALL PEOPLE WERE FRIENDLY
- Ralph (8/5): Work - Nice place to stay considering it is in the middle nothing around. Would definitely stay here again. Make sure you bring groceries only a gas station or 2.
- Sandra (8/5): - Up and coming small town motel with a bed n breakfast vibe without the breakfast. Definitely a soft bed. Kinda like sleeping at Grammy’s house. Needs updates and little more TLC (curtains, dusting, towel freshness, and toilet seat replacement)….carpet in bathroom needs to go!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is an olde time inn. So, it's not going to have modern equipment. Not luxurious. But it is a unique experience, well kept and the proprietors are very hospitable. Good air conditioning...It was 100F the afternoon when I arrived. My room was very quiet and the town of Paducah TX is interesting to photograph. A restful experience for the weary traveller.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Staff was extremely friendly and great to work with. Older building, but comfortable.
- Alexander (4/5): Avoid - Very old, outdated motel. Has probably seen much better times decades ago. Beds were ok but very old. Only one seat in a room for two. No table. The small fridge was in the middle of the room and had to serve as table. Had to connect it first to a stretched extension cord that was also powering the TV. The TV had a very spotty, low quality signal. There was a coffee maker downstairs and some water, that's it. There was also a room on the first floor that seemed like a living room with several armchairs and a TV. It seemed we were the only guests at that time. Covid precautions were taken. Masks were required and a screen was separating employees and guests at check-in. Sheets were clean. Overall cleanliness was questionable. The room had one light switch next to the door that kills all electricity in the room. While this is good to conserve energy, it also kills the alarm clock (need to reset) and the fridge. Would definitely recommend to stay in a 'real' hotel in Childress rather than Paducah. This motel is also overpriced considering the location, age, little comfort it provides.
- CarrieJo (10/5): Nice place to spend a night - Overall it was a nice stay. The young lady who greeted us was very nice and helpful. Room was nice and good water pressure. The only thing was the room was a bit stuffy, there's no individual AC controls, but the lady at the desk lent us a fan which helped. Nice a little place to stay when traveling.
- Shawn (10/5): Nice clean hotel - the hotel was nice and clean. No issue's
- John (8/5): - The hotel is in a cool old building in the middle of town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Service was great. Hotel was clean. Enjoyed talking to staff
- Verified traveler (4/5): Will not stay here again. - For $85 a night I was expecting for the room to at least be clean.
- Mark (8/5): Felt like home - I stayed at the Hunters Lodge Motel while on a recent hunting trip and I found the staff to be extremely friendly and welcoming. They pointed me to local eateries and would ask if I needed anything from them. The motel felt more like a bed and breakfast, very quiet. I will most definitely stay with them again on my next visit to that area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great small town success story. Owners bought a burnt funeral home and restored it to acceptable pleasant conditions.
No ghost.
