Decent amenities....size of the room was good as it was just 2 of us...it's Marriott so the price was about right or what you would expect. Its also in a good quiet location not too far from the University and minutes away from one of the state parks. I enjoyed it, would recommend it, and would return. No microwave in the room.

• 129harat (10/5): Would love to go back! - Was in town for a graduation ceremony and the host planned us to stay at the courtyard Marriott in Auburn. It was actually a delightful experience. Hotel is in a great location and they have an actual Starbucks store in the lobby The rooms are nice. Bed was comfortable so what more could you ask for? But what struck me the most is how incredibly professional, friendly and helpful the staff was at the front desk when you check in. Kyla Tubbs, and Macie McGarry were just flat out exceptional These ladies know all about hospitality and made our trip that much better!

• Jaimi (4/5): Disappointed stay. - There was only one staff member in the lobby when we checked in. When he checked us in didn’t talk to us at all. I told him my name and he said “card for incidentals” and then handed me 2 room keys with the room number on it, that was the extent of the interactions. There wasn’t any coffee or water in the lobby as the hotel description said. When I asked about it I was told I could buy some from the Starbucks counter, that happened to be unstaffed. The room was average, it was clean but not particularly special. When we checked out the next morning we went down to find the “made to order breakfast” and found nothing. So I’m not sure what that was all about. Overall I was pretty disappointed.

• V6232ONthomaso (2/5): REALLY bad service, staff that couldn’t care less or realize the hospitality industry really does mean show hospitality - We have stayed here numerous times bringing my daughter to the University. She is a 3rd year student so we have stayed many times. We try to be loyal to Marriott but this place makes it hard, every time we here the same story to account for the horrible service…“we are understaffed,” “it’s a busy time…” With this stay we checked in on Sunday night and left on Wednesday. NOT A SINGLE person came to clean and service the room for the entire stay. Daily and multiple times I day I stopped by the front desk asking for service for our room and was assured “someone will get right on it,” “you’re going out for dinner, it will be done by the time you get back,” “our people are up there now doing it for you.” Only to open the door and find that no one even entered the room. Complaints to the front desk were met by blank stared associates who offered nothing other than “maybe the Manager can give you some Marriott points…” That is the last thing I could care about. There are many other options in this lovely town, AVOID this hotel…we will definitely find better service somewhere else in Auburn. Anything would be better. I’ve never written a review knocking a place but this was ridiculous.

• Anna (5/5): Courtyard needs the court room - The location, the bar, the large room, and the quietness. Our room appeared that it had not been cleaned in a while. We checked in, and they gave us the wrong room to start with, but we got that fixed. So we went to the new room, threw our stuff down, and walked back out because we had dinner reservations. We saw everything when we got back in the room, and it was after 11 p.m., so we dealt with it. The bathroom floor had hair and trash on it, tub had hair in it, bathroom sink had coffee or soda where someone had poured it out, bathroom mirror had something on it that hadn't been wiped off, ice bucket was full of water from whenever someone had ice in it last, and coffee area had dried food on the counter. $200 was too much for this kind of room at a Mariott not being clean. Plus, the employees are obviously not happy with management. They took great care of us though. Mariott needs to do the same for them.

• Cory (4/5): Not a great stay - Had booked a King room for my wife and myself. Upon arrival it took 10 minutes to find someone to work the front desk and check us in. The receptionist told us they were having computer issues and had to go check if they had a room, she ended up putting us in a double queen room that she had to go make sure was clean and ready for use. She gave us a coupon for free breakfast so the next morning came and again, we had to search and wait to find someone working the breakfast bar to place our order. Upon talking with other guests who had the same issues we learned that they had bedbugs in their beds and had to change rooms.
• Dalton (2/5): - Upon arrival, there was nobody at the front desk. There was a long wait before anyone arrived (10+minutes). The first gentleman in line was there to collect towels and toiletries. He’d been there for 3 days, requesting towels, soap, and toilet paper each day, and the staff had yet to able. While in line, I watched the woman working the bistro shut down the restaurant and bar , on Friday night, before 8:00. She was very annoyed when she announced to us that she had worked all day and had had enough. I had planned to have a snack and a cocktail there, but that plan was thwarted. Finally, the line cleared and I was checked into my room. When we opened the door we were greeted with high temperatures as the hvac unit was set to heat. The couch had the giant stain that’s in the attached photo. The bathroom, especially the shower, was dirty. There was supposed to be body wash, shampoo, and conditioner on the wall in the shower. All 3 were completely empty. Additional shampoo and conditioner dispensers were located across the bathroom, but had not been installed. There was not any body wash. We set the air conditioner to cool with a constant fan. It turned off multiple times during the night, resulting in a temperature fluctuation in the room that constantly woke us both up. I hate this hotel so much that I cannot describe. I am very easily satisfied by meager accommodations. I just need a cool room, a comfortable bed, clean conditions, hot water, reasonable service and soap.

The laundry bag (plastic bag normally in the closet) was missing. And when I asked about printing when I arrived, the gentleman suggested I do it in the morning instead of taking care of it then.

Shower pan looked dirty. Room preparation was not complete, as staff had to get pillow cases for pillows. Cases were dingy and didn't look clean. Probably won't choose this chain again. Paid a premium for this graduation weekend, but feel that we did not get our money's worth. Very disappointed!!!
• WesterosTravel (8/5): Good, Could be Great - Newer hotel, stayed in a king room with an excellent room layout including a small couch where you can put your feet up and watch tv. Also like that the refrigerator is elevated and is easier to access then bending over. Good common area, good fitness center for a hotel of this size and price point. There are some little things that need attention. For example, the body wash and shampoo in the room were completely empty. I was already in the shower getting ready to leave for an early flight when discovered and had to shower with no soap. Similarly, even though its a newer hotel the shower handle fixture was already loose and coming off. Further the main restroom near the lobby could have been cleaner. Friendly staff, just need to pay a little more attention to some of the small things.

• Chiquita (5/5): Even after all of that though we were put into a different room and it was nice overall we enjoyed our stay - Building was nice once we got into a cleaned room it was ok The room we were assigned to at first wasn’t clean beds weren’t changed and made dirty towels in the bathroom etc trash needed taking out also I booked my room through booking.com and was told the price for my room was a certain amount only to be charged more than what my booked reservation said

Also I put in the notes for a specific room and got a hotel different room than what I paid for. Use a different hotel . I paid for a room and got a different room and the guest service supervisor could hand made the change . So yea there are better hotels in the area

• Marty (6/5): - Our one night stay began with the inability to enter the room assigned to us. Our room keys didn't work. The maintenance employee was nearby and offered to open our door using his master key. Didn’t work. So we proceeded to return to the lobby from the 3rd floor for a new set of keys. They changed our room to another 3rd floor room and once again the keys didn’t work for us or the maintenance employee. At this point after driving for several hours, frustrated with room keys not working we asked for a room on the first floor. The room was clean. The advertisement said breakfast included. The breakfast area was being renovated so no breakfast. Would have been nice to know ahead of time. Coffee wasn't being put out in the food area until 6:30am. I didn't like the powder creamer in the packets in the room so I didn’t drink coffee in the room. Bucee's was close by so we went there for coffee, breakfast, etc. Staff was a bit put out by the room key issues but they managed to be polite. No microwave in the room. I will not stay here again.

• Chelsea (6/5): - Very clean and great looking facility but I picked this hotel specifically for the advertised bistro for breakfast and coffee drinks for the morning and it was all closed down until further notice without informing us at booking or before check in. No alternative for breakfast offered and no discount even though part of their offerings were no longer available.
