- Jessica (10/5): Great place for families - We really loved this hostel for families. It was our favorite place we stayed at during our time at Galapagos. Great room size. Breakfast was delicious. Kids loved the pool table and air hocked table. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Staff was very kind. They even found my airpods I left behind and sent them on a ferry to the next island we were at by mail. Wow! Thank you!

- Thomas (8/5): - Gutes Hotel. Klimaanlage funktioniert super.Alles sauber. Bett bequem. Lounge zum entspannen und Bar/ Restaurant im Haus. Mit meinem Zimmer Nr 1 war ich allerdings nicht ganz glücklich. Es liegt genau neben Küche und Restaurant. Lärmpegel also entsprechend hoch. Allerdings wird darauf geachtet, dass ab 22h Ruhe ist. Die Jalousien im Zimmer sind viel zu hell. Hier gehört was bessers zum Verdunkeln angebracht. Ab morgens um 6 Uhr ist es im Zimmer dann taghell und man möchte im Urlaub ja manchmal ein wenig länger schlafen.

I didn't need much just basic information which didn't exist. I noticed the South American guests were catered to. While I wasn't even told breakfast was included free. On the last 2 days of my stay 7 in total I asked at the reception how much breakfast was, the woman at the desk said 6 dollars, another woman staff spoke up and said wait your breakfast is included in the booking so I missed 5 breakfasts. I was on a tight budget The same woman who told me I had to pay for breakfast told me I could walk down to corner to get a taxi while I noticed countless other guests had taxis called for them by staff. and picked up right at the hotel door. Also the blinds/curtains were so see thru and thin Several times I woke up thinking it was daylight because the bright lights on the building shining in . A very negative experience .I was a paying guest and treated badly. The Galapagos Islands are amazing and wonderful. Galapagos Dreams hotel was terrible!!

Super quiet and in a safe area. They have a well stocked bar and the food is amazing. They also provide towels for the tours at the front desk. They can also help set up tours for you if you wish.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. The service was top-notch, and they made us feel welcome throughout our stay. For a fee, they conveniently arrange transportation to and from Baltar Airport, which made our trip even smoother. Additionally, they provide free clean cold/hot drinking water and coffee for guests downstairs, which was a nice touch. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay!

- Janis (8/5): Would stay here again - It’s a basic hotel but the staff is very friendly and helpful. They coordinate the pickup and drop offs as well as the scheduled activities very well. The breakfasts and lunches very reasonably priced and well prepared. Good widescreen tv and hot/cold shower. Room cleaned daily and excellent laundry service. The room safe was not really a safe, so don’t take expensive valuables. There was also a power outage one morning but this was for the whole town, not just the hotel.

Walking distance to restaurants and the port for easy access to day tours and the beach. The staff were so helpful and kind. They went above and beyond to help us with any needs or concerns. Or package included breakfast and it was fresh and delicious. They also have a tour agency connected to the property which makes booking tours simple and easily accessible. Although there was a pool that you have access to it’s not located directly on the property we stayed at. But it was a very short walk and you spend most of your time exploring the islands and beaches so it did not pose a problem.

- Scott (8/5): Good budget hotel option for Santa Cruz - Location is great, close to main area but far enough away to avoid the bustle. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms have hot water. The AC works great. The staff was helpful and responsive. Overall a good option for the price. It can get a bit noisy if people are talking downstairs or outside, since the sound travels easily. The bathroom had a slight sewage odor at all times.

Also, only one made dish per person, so not a lot of choices. No elevator, only stairs - but the staff help with the luggage.

We booked one of our tours through their travel agency as well and thought it was great. The hotel organized our transportation to and from the airport, which was nice because it involved a car, water taxi, and bus. - GordonsvilleGal (6/5): Don’t come hungry! - This hotel was selected for us by our tour package. It started off nice with a welcome juice drink. First of all, this hotel is clean, safe, and presumably cheap (which is why the tour company used it). This hotel is also unnecessarily stingy. Examples: 1. We asked for one (1) extra pillow. It was denied until we insisted. It costs nothing. Why be so niggardly? 2. The minute we left for the day, they turned off the AC in our room, which was set at 25. Therefore, our wet clothing never dried. 3. Breakfast actually made me laugh out loud. The standard was a roll, cheese, and ham. It was my first ever ham garnish. The cheese was half the size of a box of matches. I posted a photo with this review with a dollar for size comparison. I’d like to lose five pounds so no problem for me. It might be one for you if your appetite is more robust. So. There are probably ten cheaper places in Port Aroyo and 10 more expensive places with a better breakfast. There’s a really pretty place with a pool across the street called Maidith. Next time…. Except there won’t be a next time because I’ll never visit the Galápagos again. Too little time, too many places.

There is also a bright red light that is on all night outside the rooms which makes falling asleep difficult

- Maria (10/5): - Staff was very friendly, cordial. We arrived early and they made every effort to have our room ready as soon as possible without even asking. They greeted us with a glass of cold tea which was very good and much needed because we were thirsty from walking from the pier to the hotel. They also let us know that the breakfast time had already finished but since the following day we were leaving early to take the ferry they could offer us the included breakfast on the day of our arrival, so we had a wonderful and homey breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt and it was heaven because we had just come by ferry and hadn't had time to have breakfast. They had water, coffee and tea at the lobby all day. We could walk to the main pier and shopping and dining areas easily, safely and comfortably.

- Anonymous (8/5): Comfortable stay in Puerto Ayora - Very clean room, good breakfast made to order, purified water (hot and cold) available in the lobby. Location was convenient for walking around town. The room looks different from the pictures. Much smaller in person.
- WanderlustDave101 (10/5): One Stop Shop - The Hotel Galapagos Dreams was my base for much of my stay on the Galapagos Islands. The rooms were basic, but comfortable, and the morning breakfast was always good. It was perfectly located, a short walk from the center of Puerto Ayora, where all the restaurants, shops (and misc sea lions laying around) can be found. There is a tour agency that's part of the hotel, and they are super helpful to arrange any tours you want to take, even to the other islands. They also rent pedal bikes there, if you want to get around to a few of the places around town a bit faster. I was very happy I chose Galapagos Dreams to make my Galapagos vacatin a special one.

- Marianne (5/5): Passable - Nice quiet room across the road from the hotel and nice, central location. No wifi in the room and no hot water. Breakfast very bland.
- Lise (9/5): Superb - The staff went above and beyond. My daughter fell ill and the cook prepared food especially for her and the staff helped with medical recommendations. We had no internet reception in our room and within one day this was fixed with our very own modem. The room was large and very comfy beds, the air con worked perfect and it was very clean. N/a
